The Monotonous Eli

Eli had been about to answer Mirela's question when the older gentlemen had walked up and attempted to use what was quite possibly the most cliche pickup line / insult ever created. Rubbing his eyes quickly, Eli thought the hell is up with all these clearly not high school students eating in a high school cafeteria? Again, Eli was in no position to be complaining about odd occurrences, seeing as one of his arms had a finger that could create a physical slash while the other arm was eventually going to kill him very, very painfully.... wait, what the hell was that? Mirela's arm also seemed to be a bit... abnormal as it had just turned into a reptile-like claw, which caused Eli's eyes to go wide with surprise, a very uncommon change in appearance from his typical bored-ish expression. He quickly went back to normal, remembering that nearly everyone at this school had some sort of abnormal ability. In any event, the claw seemed to do the trick as the man left almost immediately, managing to let loose one more cliche before walking away. "Well some people are idiots" Eli said in his typical monotone, before answering her earlier question. "I wouldn't really know what's good around here, this actually being my first time at the cafeteria as well. But in the few minutes I've been here I've found that a good rule of thumb is to avoid any food that anyone has passed out eating." As he said this, Eli pointed to a student at another table who had his head on the table, a blobby mass of... something... still wobbling like jello on his plate. "The spaghetti's pretty good, I suppose." |
