Over one year ago, on this very site, was one of the darkest moments of this shrines history. It was when one of the legendary artifacts that the members who lived here had guarded, was stolen. Now, in that short amount of time, some of the students from the surrounding area had started to come back and began to learn the from the teachers there, after what had happened to the resident head thug. Neo's defeat over Saito started to give people hope and confidence in themselves, and they realized that they needed to stand up for themselves, as he had done. The days lessons had only started, and everyone had paired off with a practice sword each in front of the renovated hotel their sensei called home, but Hayato, Neo's uncle, could feel that there was a low amount of morale among his students. Hayato: "Alright everyone, stop for a moment. What's wrong with you all? I haven't felt that serious determination in any of you since you started." Student A: "Sir, it's just that... we would like to see Neo-sempai at least once while we train here." Student B: "Yeah, I know he goes to that big school in Tokyo now, but hasn't he come by since his birthday last year?" Hayato: "I know how you all feel. To be honest, I miss seeing him walking around the place all the time, but with his life taking him in a new direction, it's not like he just swings by whenever he wants to..." Of course, after he said that, the webway portal opened up near where the class was training, and out popped Neo, followed by Cristy, Ritsuka and Sage. Everyone had a look of shock on their face, and could only bow at his presence, like he was an icon or something. His uncle however, just shook his head as he walked over. Hayato: "I don't know how you do it sometimes nephew. All I did was mention you, and here you are." Neo: "Eh, call it a gift. I wish I could say this was just a visit though, I need to speak to you and Sakai-sensai as soon as possible." Hayato: "Understood. And besides Ritsuka over there, who are your friends?" Neo: "It's a long story, and there's more coming..." |

"All right now, we'll let Neo and Ritsuka go out first, since everyone's familiar with them," Gengoro was saying. "This is a martial arts school; I don't want to have a bunch of jumpy white belts attacking the first thing that moves, savvy?" He grinned slightly. Then, he gestured to Neo and Ritsuka, who merely walked through the barrier (Gengoro had thinned it to allow re-entry into realspace). Sage and Cristina followed. He let Umbra and Shira go next, and at last he entered. He carried himself with some dignity; it was obvious from his gait and posture. He smiled at the students as Neo, for once, was bowed down to, rather than him (that's what most people did upon seeing a fully manifested angel, anyway), and overall found the situation rather funny. He stepped forward to Hayato, and bowed low, inclining his head and hoping that it was showing enough respect (despite Gengoro's long stay on Earth, he had never encountered a true sensei before, and only knew his own customs of greeting one). He straightened himself up, grinning slightly but still keeping a respectful look on his face. "I am Gengoro Kazamaru," he said to the man in the best Japanese he could. There was no way around his accent, but at least his vocabulary was expansive. Besides, his accent didn't make his speech sound bad, anyway. "It's good to finally meet the one who taught my friend so much." |

Umbra stepped out of the portal, and took a few long moments blinking the spots out of his eyes. He wasn't use to traveling with so much...light. Though for the students not completely doting on Neo, Umbra's large black wings were probably a curiocity at best. Still this was the first time Umbra entered a dojo, and though he had exprienced how sword fighting was taught in Europe (He hadn't exactly obeyed his foster father who kept him locked majorilly in the dungeon) but he had never witnessed the japanese style of teching. "Interesting" he muttered as his eyes roved the room. |

Hayato: "Ah, welco..." And of course, if there was a way that Neo could surprise everyone there, having his uncle see Gengoro for the first time would do that. Of course, he did mention all his friends to him, but the fact that he was an angel often seemed to escape mention when he wrote his letters back home. In fact, not only was Hayato shocked, but so was Kazuki and Akito, who had come from the shrine to help oversee the students. Kazuki: "Oh my... Akito: "Neo.... when did..." Hayato: "Where did you meet an angel, of all people?" Neo: "Hey, some of my friends, as well as my roommate are kitsune, I've met a summoner, fought an elemental, and I have empath as a surrogate brother. Why not have an angel as a friend in that school? Everyone, go ahead and relax. There's the shrine nearby in case you want to meditate, the dojo where Umbra went, and the scenery all around if you want to walk around." Akito: "Actually, Mr Kazamaru, could you accompany us? Sakai-san would probably like to meet you as well." With Neo walking inside the inn with Hayato, and Umbra already gone, everyone was left to decide on what to do, while Kazuki stood in to teach the students. Sage: "I don't know about you guys, but I think I'll watch the students here. Been a while since I just saw a class." Cristy: "Suit yourself. I'm gonna walk around the place. If it's gonna be rough soon, I'll want to relax as much as I can." Ritsuka: "I think I'll walk with you Cristy. I've already been here more then once before." |

"Actually, Mr Kazamaru, could you accompany us? Sakai-san would probably like to meet you as well." To this, Gengoro responded with a nod. "It would be my pleasure," he said silkily, and made to follow Akito's lead. He took the time to take in all the scenery around him. It was nice; nicer than Anime High's campus, even. There was a different feeling here. While AHS seemed to be constantly tense and ready for anything, this dojo felt more akin to the village in which Gengoro had grown up in. It was idyllic, it was a quality in the air...but everything at the dojo seemed at peace, from the plants to the students. He smiled as he enjoyed real tranquility for the first time in far too long. It was a luxury he was usually ill-equipped to afford. "The architecture is beautiful," he noted, although he said the comment in angellic rather than any language that a human could speak or understand. Actually, humans did speak a version of angellic: that is, Latin. The grammar and words for Latin and angellic were completely identical. The difference was in pronunciation and accent. Some made Latin seem beautiful, but compared to angellic it was as rough and guttural as Russian. The accent was something that only an angel seemed to be able to duplicate; perhaps Gengoro's very tongue was superior in that sense. He was, after all, quite skilled at languages, knowing no less than fifteen (although the vast majority of those came from his own homeworld, and were thus useless in this one). But Gengoro's mind was not on languages and accents; that was better left to scholars, and while Gengoro was a very philosophical being, he was one of the poorest students in AHS' history, only passing his classes due to his various services to the school and the fact that he kept the campus relatively demon-free. Instead, he was contemplating the dojo's look and layout, which were much simpler and easier for his mind to grasp. Eventually, he spoke, still keeping his eyes on his surroundings. "So, you, that other fellow, and this one we're going to meet, Sakai, are all from the Shrine?" he asked Akito conversationally. |

Umbra was still in the doorway, as Neo began to talk with his teachers, and thus heard the majority of the conversation. Hereing Neo's list caused him to smile...for he shared that surregate brother, among other reasons. AS such he couldn't resist throwing in a side comment before he vanished beyond the door frame. "What about me an Shira Neo...I'm hurt" he quipped with a feigned pout, and then slipped off. Eventually Umbra returned to the main room (mostly cause he didn't know what was in the other room >>), but from the lack of Gengoro he gathered what had passed. "I should really think about dye-ing my wings white" he mumbled to no one in particular. |

Akito: "He isn't just another fellow Mr Kazamaru. He's the man in charge of everything here, save for the house. Although he retired from active physical teaching, he still finds his pride in tending to the gardens, to lecturing the students occationally." Opening the door to the den, Neo geutured for Gengoro to follow him inside, then knelt down to the headmaster Sakai. Even though he was 78 years of age, he looked like there were still many more years left in him. If anything, he was able to pride himself for his fine health, not to mention the extensive training from when he was only a little younger then Neo. Sakai: "Welcome home, my young pupil. Although I would like to share my relief that you survived the the asension trials, the aura around you tells that you are in deep doubt." Neo: "...Yes Sakai-sensei. I fear.. I have failed in your trust in Kyoufuu..." Carefully, Neo unsheathed the fragments of his once trusted blade in front of his sensei, but instead of any anguish, the elderly gentleman simply nodded his head, like he understood as to what happened. Sakai: "So... the faint screams I heard in my meditations last night were not of my imaginations. Do not worry Neo, this can be repaired..." Turning to the other doorway that lead inside, another figure approached the blade. He was dressed like a traditional swordsmith from the era when the blade was made, except there was a blacksmiths faceguard covering his face from sight. He looked over the broken weapon, then to it's weilder. Bending down slightly, he picked up the sword and left just as quickly as he entered. Of course, Neo was about to say something to him, but he was stopped by his uncle. Hayato: "Don't worry Neo, it's in good hands. Sakai: "Yes, but enough of that for the moment, I am curious about your friend over there. I've seen many things, but an angel before my own passing is one that I never would have predicted..." Meanwhile, in the main room, someone did happen to hear Umbra's mumbling as they walked inside. In fact, there were two pairs of ears that heard him. Ritsuka: "Funny... I can't imagine you with white wings." Cristy: "I could... he looks stupid though." Cristina had decided to drop off her bow and quiver before their walk, and noticed that he had entered the house, so she drug along Ritsuka just for, what she considered in her sarcastic mind, a laugh. Cristy: "No seriously, white doesn't become you. Hell, plaid would before white." |

Gengoro wasn't quite sure what to do or say. He wanted to make some kind of wisecrack, but considering how touchy humans were about doing such things to figures of authority, he decided against it. Oh no, "Not all of us are waiting for you people in the afterlife" was such a clever line...how ever would he be offended? Cypher said, his "voice" filled to the brim with sarcasm. Eheh, eheh. I get the idea. Shouldn't you be brooding or something? Instead, Gengoro merely smiled and bowed respectfully, though with his wings it looked strange (but no less graceful). He chose his words carefully when he spoke. "There are a lot of things we can't predict, Sakai-sensei," he said mildly. It felt odd, calling him "sensei". Though he had not used that exact word in his own home, the connotation and meaning it had was reserved for Jerak. This was the first time in a long time that he had referred to anyone as "master" or its equivalent. He realized with a start that he hadn't introduced himself, and mentally kicked himself. This felt awkward, and yet he was sure he and Neo would laugh about it in a few years... "Oh yes, my name is Gengoro Kazamaru," he said hurriedly. "Please, just call me Gengoro..." |

Umbra heard the two girls commenting, and turned to give them an innocent shrug. Black was his color...it was him even, of course white would look stupid. Still he offered them his rogueish smirk "If its anything like Gengoro, the people would be too busy bowing to notice how stupid it looks" (ooc not great...but its something neh?) |

Sakai: "Ah... this much is true. Such is life I gather." Akito: "Master Sakai, I'm sorry to interrupt, but it's time for your daily constitutional" Sakai: "Oh.. so it is. Well, I believe we'll see each other in the morning Gengoro. Neo, go show your guest where he can stay, and change from those tattered clothes you're wearing." Neo: "Yes sensei. Come on Gengoro, the rooms are this way." Bowing once more towards Sakai and his uncle as he left, Neo headed upstairs to where his room was, along with all the guest rooms that were refurnished. They only had use once before lately, when he, AJ, Sornas and the others came back last year. Neo: "So, here's my room, go and take one of the others while I change. Meanwhile... Ritsuka: "Good point. I don't think everyone here could take it if two angels showed up here at the same time." Cristy: "Yeah well... Give me a sec to drop this off, me and Rits here are going to walk around the place while it's kinda quiet. Come along if you want, might be a little less boring. Shrugging herself, Cristina walked into the other room to drop off her things, while Ritsuka just looked at the stone of Scorpio on her left hand. Ritsuka: "Kinda weird if you think about it Umbra. Couple days ago, we weren't connected at all. Now... you, me, Shira and the others... trying to prevent a madman from taking over. Feels like the cliched save the world scenerio, don't you think?" |

Gengoro nodded at Neo's instructions, and then immediately walked into the room adjacent to Neo's, it being the closest one. The room that greeted him was nice. Not too grand and luxurious, but not too spartan either. It was simple. Perfect. Gengoro closed the door behind him quietly, and began to make himself at home. Rather than sleep on the bed, which wasn't appropriate for his own anatomy, Gengoro had brought a hammock, which he strung up in the room carefully, making sure he wouldn't knock anything over. He began to dress down as well, removing his cumbersome bandoliers of throwing knives and other demonslaying equipment. He kept around a few flasks of holy water and tea, but other than that he was now armed with nothing more than his swords. Well, it didn't seem like he'd need much anyway. In a desultory manner, he began to preen his wings, straightening out all the feathers and picking out the loose ones. He tossed the feathers aside into a pile, leaving it there for burning later. He had many meditations and rituals to go through that night. He looked at the long length of white cloth that he had laid on the bed. "Arafin inié, farim asfaloth," he said quietly, before leaving the room. |

Perhaps it is because of her black hair, or that she’s wearing a kimono, she seems to physically blend in way too well to the residents of this school, which might actually be better for her being that she’s too shy anyway. So, being as invisible as Umbra, she wondered off without further ado. While everyone else was busy attending certain matters, relaxing, or exploring the area, Shirayuki followed Umbra into the dojo, since he’s the only one she’s been around with the most ever since she got involved. She took off her zori sandals before stepping into the house, and then strolled away down the hallway until she found a vacant room, where she placed her belongings on the tatami mat. The ice elemental closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, "reminds me of the village." It’s been a very long time since she’s been in a traditional Japanese structure. The last time she’s ever seen anything like it was the time her village was destroyed. After dropping her things off, she decided to, well, follow Umbra around since it doesn’t seem like there’s anything else she can do. "Kinda weird if you think about it Umbra. Couple days ago, we weren't connected at all. Now... you, me, Shira and the others... trying to prevent a madman from taking over. Feels like the cliched save the world scenerio, don't you think?" "It is kind of weird. Coincidence or fate, who knows how or why we were appointed to such tasks," Shirayuki commented, appearing from around the corner. |

Just as Gengoro closed the door to his room, he would be greeted by a sight that would keep him surprised for years to come. Neo had emerged from his room, dreassed in a traditional Japanese clotheset. He was wearing a black kimono with the symbol of his martial arts school on the back, gray hakama pants & a black haori. Not expecting anyone out in the hall, Neo was surprised as well. Neo: "I know, I know... it's something you wouldn't expect for me to wear, huh? Well, fact is, I haven't worn one since before I left for AHS at first. I'm surprised that it still fits as well as it does." Meanwhile, Ritsuka had heard Shira's comment, and looked over as she stepped around the corner. Out of everything that's happened, and everywhere the group have been, the fact of the matter is, she didn't really have a chance to get to talk to either her or Umbra. Now that they have a chance, it was time to at least make herself talkative between the two of them. Ritsuka: "Who can really know for certain? Fate, coincidence... but the fact is, we are together in this. All we can do is see where it rides out. Oh yes, before I forget. Ritsuka Tenryou, nice to, well, finally meet you." |

Gengoro merely shrugged. Neo didn't at all look out of place dressed in such garb; it was not so different from his own robes that he always wore. Still, he laughed slightly and remarked, "I don't know, it becomes you. Ever considered a career in modelling?" Still, Gengoro felt a slight touch of embarrassement. Compared to Neo, Gengoro was now dressed like a complete slob, having discarded his elegant but cumbersome outer robe for his more plain "work robes". His ever present headband was gone, leaving his forehead bare and for the first time revealing the flowing black tattoo on Gengoro's forehead. "It indicates my rank as an angel," Gengoro explained. "I have another one on my chest...but enough about me. I have something for you that I think would go well with that outfit of yours, although I made it with your normal clothes in mind...hold on..." He rushed back into his room, and came out after a moment bearing a roll of white cloth. He quickly unfurled it revealing...a roll of white cloth. However, it was different from any other. While it looked no different, it seemed to glow slightly. It was perfectly white; there was no tinge to it at all. It was completely impervious to dirt; nothing could soil it. He handed it to Neo. "That length of cloth there can serve as a way to regulate your own power," he said. "It will stop you from getting out of control, and yet allow you sufficient power to overcome any foe you might face. Also, it can prove protective against certain types of attacks." He bowed as he finished his little speech as he would in the company of a great king. For here, in his "castle", Neo truly was a king. "Let it be named as you wish it to be," he said, as in the manner of a herald declaring a great triumph. |

Umbra listed to Shira and Ritsuka's conversation, and offered a small shrug, his hands never leaving his pockets, and leaned back slightly with a slight glazed faroff look. "Isn't that the way all things are, one day I was prisoner of my father in my own home, the next I fianlly break free to a supposed place of freedom and literally get shot down, and in the end I've made my best friend, and as neo put it seregate brother. No one can predict what path life will take us." a small sigh brought Umbra back to the present and ritsuka's introduction. and he let out a small chuckle. "My pleasure, Umbra Kagesombra at your service" he swept into a formal bow |

I never knew about that... Neo thought, noticing the tattoo on his friends forehead. They've known each other for so long, yet still there were things that each one never mentioned to the other. The tattoo on his forehead, the one on his chest. He made it a point to ask him about them one day. But for now, the others sounded like they were down in the main room. Just then, Gengoro headed into his room and returned with some sort of wrap. Hearing the description that he had for them, he could only be no less then impressed. Neo knew that he was gifted, but this just blew him away. "I... I... dude, I can't find a way to thank you enough. I only wish I had a name suitable enough, but I swear, I'll think of something. Come on, I think I hear the others downstairs." Placing the wrap in his kimono, Neo lead the way down to where the others had congregated. Ritsuka was still listening to what Shira and Umbra were saying, and Cristy had finally returned, as well as Sage, now that classes were ending for the day. All of them had looked up to see the other two join them, and Sage and Cristina were shocked to see what Neo had on. Sage: "Well this is new. I didn't even know you had anything traditional." Cristy: "I can't complain though. Could have been a dress or something." Neo: "Oh hah hah..." |

Despite being on campus for about a year, Umbra still hadn't grown accustum to Japanese culture. So when Neo made his appearance, Umbra offered his half-smile. In reality it didn't look half bad on Neo, but Umbra had no taste for Japanese fashion, so in respomce to risuka... "I dunno...He might have looked better in the dress" |

"You've all ready thanked me enough...you saved my life and bore my swords when I was imprisoned," Gengoro said, pleased with how Neo had liked his gift. "This is my repayment to you." With that, he followed Neo down the stairs, taking a small measure of amusement in the reactions that arose to Neo's wardrobe. Everyone's a comedian, Cypher thought cynically. Honestly, they could have thought up some better material than this...the poser of me is about as funny as Jerry Seinfeld... I know. "What's the deal with that?" Har har. Go back to being noble. You're about as funny as the others. "Hey, let's not make fun of Neo's clothes," Gengoro said. "I wear a similar thing everyday, and do you really want to be making fun of the way that I dress...?" |

Shirayuki smiled, and bowed, "Shirayuki Minamino. But everyone calls me Shira for short." And indeed her name suits her appearance very well. Being a yuki-onna, her skin color is pale, white, and smooth, like snow. Her attention went to Umbra. Although he seems to be the one she sticks around with the most, she knows next to nothing of his background, not even what race he is. Her eyes softened into concern and sorrow at Umbra's comment. Shira's case was the exact opposite. She had a warm family, but that was taken away from her. Perhaps it is because she's already learned to love and have been loved, (which is quite unusual for a yuki-onna) loosing her family was beyond painful. And now, she doesn't have the face to return to her second family... She too sighed, but was brought out of her own thoughts when Umbra introduced himself to Ritsuka, and following shortly, Neo's appearance. She didn't see anything wrong with wearing a traditional kimono, as she's in one herself. And very well known and accustomed to the Japanese culture, she found it quite normal. "I think it looks great on you," Shira smiled. |

Although Ritsuka did chuckle at Umbra's comment, she knew that there wasn't much she could say about Neo's outfit. She herself came from Kyoto as well, although it was from a much earlier time. But she was used to seeing people in the old traditional outfits. This was the capital of Japan in the fuedal ages after all. So all she could really do was nod her head towards him. Neo: "Well thanks guys. It's nice to know that some people don't mind the outfit, unlike some people...." Of course, he was looking over at Cristina at that second, who only retaliated by sticking out her tounge and pulling at her eyelid, but in her sarcastic self, she also flipped him off as well. Shaking it off, he looked over at the time, then at everyone who had arrived with him. Neo: "Well, in any rate, we can't really do anything until tomorrow morning, so as a treat, I'm making dinner for everyone. So if you want to give me a little while, I'll have something whipped up." *Hours later* (Cause I want to pick this up a bit) Everyone came out of the inn's dining room, hands over their stomachs like they were going to explode. There was one thing that Neo always was supurb at, besides any sort of fighting, and that was cooking. He could probably take down an Iron Chef if he wanted to. Sage: "Dude... that was, hands down, the best dinner I've ever had..." Cristy: "Neo, I take back any wisecracks I made towards you today. Never have I had a Boiled Salmon like that." Neo: "You sure? I thought that Crab and Rice mix I tried was over powering." Ritsuka: "Neo, even if you tried your best, you can't mess that up." (ooc: Yes, you can make up something that your characters ate. Have fun with that.) |

"Neo, is it just me, or are you moving faster?" Gengoro said, still eating. Gengoro's hunger was probably the only one Neo hadn't been able to completely satisfy, just because his appetite probably only pailed in comparison to Ryu's. He was busily shoving a bowlful of rice, mixed with the Filipino dish adobo, into his open mouth. He was eating like a pig; who cared? "I've never seen someone be able to prepare adobo, chili, kungpao chicken, beef-steak, 7 gallons of rice, chicken fajitas, more chili, beef stew, chicken romano, swordfish steaks, teriyaki marlin, still more chili, linguine with clam sauce, sushi, another 7 gallons of rice, french fries, hibachi shrimp, steak, and pork, more chili, and squeeze off 147 glasses of orange juice from real oranges," Gengoro said as he finished off his bowl. He was still feeling slightly hungry, but he felt guilty about having eaten up practically all the temple's food. He burped slightly, and turned it into a cough, albeit an awkwardly loud one... |

Umbra also exited with a contented smile. Who would have expected Neo could make excellent fish and chips. In fact Umbra hadn't seen so much food in one place ever such a change from the life he had lived, and a good change at that. |

"Me? Moving faster?" Neo just stood still as he took a swing at the air where no one was standing, and he didn't see any sort of difference in his eyes. In all honesty, even though he couldn't see it, Gengoro was right. Months have passed since his trials, and his hypersonic abilities have almost reached the point to where he could even start to use tham. But all this time, not even Neo knew about them. "Hmm... doesn't look like it to me man. Won't question you though, but I just don't see it." At that moment, Neo looked up to the clock, and saw that it was 10:30. Probably time for them all to get some sleep for tomorrow was the thought in his mind, aside for something else. "Ok guys, we better hit the sack for tomorrow. There's at least three rooms ready for you all, and Gengoro already has his. Good night everyone." As Neo headed upstairs, Ritsuka stepped away from the others, and stood before an ancient case with a ceremonial set of armor inside. Chanting softly, she opened a portal that lead to her realm, before looking over to everyone else. "I'm going to stay in here, so I'll be fine for tonight. Later all..." were the only words she said, before the door to the case close behind her. |

Gengoro lay the bowl down on a nearby table, and made to follow Neo. He idly reflected the happenings of the day. The idyl, the street fight, the delicious dinner. And to think just this morning I could barely move without using my sword as a walking stick... As he walked into his room, he undressed himself and nimbly climbed into his hammock. He lay back, letting the smooth swaying motion of the hammock slowly let him drift off to sleep...he felt as though he were at sea... I can remember few days that have been better than this one... was the last thought that crossed his mind. |

Umbra gave a hapless shrug in responce to Neo's comment about turning in. "Well nothing major has changed since last night, I still don't need to sleep. However..." As Umbra broke off momentarilly he held out his hand, and out of his midnight blue aura formed the crescent saber "...The dojo seemed well equipped for my needs, so if you need me I guess I'll be practicing." |

As the others started to head off for the night, Cristina started to feel a twinge of pain in her body. Sage noticed this, and walked over to catch her, in case she would have fallen. Sage: "Are you alright? You did take those painkillers of yours, right?" Cristy: "Yes genius, of course I did. It's just.. they don't work so well for some reason now." Sage: "I understand. Hey, maybe it's just a phase, right?" Cristy: "It damn well better be, that's all I have to say...." Helping her to her room, Sage made sure she was well enough off before heading off to his bed for the night. There was concern on both of their minds before they were finally able to sleep. The next day couldn't come fast enough for the group, as sun shone over the practice field. The students had all arrived, but was told that there would not be any class that day. Instead, they would be privileged to one occation that none of them would ever forget. Also there was Sakai sensei, Kazuki and Akito, as well as the person who took Neo's sword in the first place. However, now it laid on a table that had been set up, and apparently there was a brand new sheath for it as well. For once, Ritsuka was up before any of the others, and had been talking to her old friend Hayato. Sage had arrived next, and shortly afterwards Cristy had made her way over and stood beside him. Sage: "Feeling any better?" Cristy: If I wasn't, you think I'd be out here?" Sage: "Oh yeah, you're fine then." Meanwhile, on Neo's Door, there was a sign that simply said to meet him outside. He had actually spent some time going through some old boxes in his room, until he found the one thing he was looking for. Yami however, materialized and only looked over his shoulder while his host searched. Yami: "So, going to wear that, huh?" Neo: "Yeah, I think it makes sense for the occation. At least to me it does." |

Cypher materialized out of the shadow of a tree. His icy blue eyes swept the area. He was the first one there. That didn't surprise him. He had a very efficient way to travel around, one that he doubted even Umbra had. Seeing that he was alone, he leaned back against said tree and sat down at its trunk. Gengoro was still asleep. He was always sleeping nowadays; last night was one of the few times he was able to sleep peacefully through the night, no nightmares or anything. So, Cypher had gotten large amounts of time to spend to himself. He had gotten Gengoro kitted out so when he shifted back, Gengoro would be fully armed. He wasn't sure if all the weapons were necessary, but who knew? He cracked his knuckles loudly, BANG BANG BANG BANG. Each one rang out like a gunshot. He flexed his fingers, balling them into fists and relaxing them. Once he was done with his stretching, he bowed his head down, deep in thought. In the shadow of the tree, he almost seemed to blend in with the veil it provided... |

Umbra wandered in last, mopping the last vestiges of sweat off his brow. As an aside he did get a good work out, However, he was pretty much clureless to what was going on as he happened upon the gathering group. "Um...what's going on?" he asked bluntly |

Sage: "Well Umbra, we're all waiting for Neo to show up. Apparently his sword's finally done." Cristina: "And speak of the devil himself..." Just as she said that, Neo stepped outside finally, with that look of complete determination on his face. He was in his normal black jeans and low-cut boots, but there were two different things about him today. One, he was wearing that wrap that Gengoro gave to him yesterday on his right arm, and everyone could see where it covered from his wrist to his shoulder. The other thing, what he and Yami were talking about, was the black vest that he wore, which had four buckles aligned vertically over the zipper, and the symbol of his school, just like his hakama, on the back. Once again, the students bowed towards him as he approached, but his eyes were locked onto the repaired sword on the table, and as he finally approached, his uncle walked over to see his reaction to the new blade. Hayato: "Go ahead nephew, I know you've been waiting to see how it looks ever since you gave it up." Neo: "Hai, uncle.." Carefully picking up the sheath, and placing his hand over it's handle, not even Neo, nor anyone who came with him could have seen what came next, after he tried to remove it... Sage: "Holy..." Ritsuka: "That... that can't be..." Cristy: "What in the living hell?" ...There was no blade in the sheath. Neo: "Uh.. Sakai-sensei, you know I never question your judgements, but um... WHAT THE HECK IS THIS??" ????: "I believe I can answer that for you..." Turning towards the person who repaired the sword in the first place, he finally removed his mask to reveal his face. To their surprise, he was only a teenager, same as them, but slightly younger. There wasn't much to make him look any different then any of the other people who had arrived, he had the same long black hair that some of the other students, and even Kazuki, had. But there was one thing that made him completely stand out from the others, and that was his eyes. Those pale, almost lifeless eyes, like he had died at least once already. ????: "The reason there is no sword in front of you, is because you don't truly see the sword." Neo: "Say... what?" ????: "Try this. Sheath the handle again, but this time, think of how you want the sword to look like." Neo: "O...k...." As he placed the handle back into it's sheath, Neo looked over to the others and shrugged his shoulders, not really expecting much at that point. This time however, he had closed his eyes in order to visualize what he thinks it should look like, and as he removed it this time, there was a strong gust of wind eminating from the sheath as a reversed blade appeared, about four feet long, just like his Kyoufuu was. But this time, there were almost visible coming from the blade as he held it. As he opened his eyes to look at what had appeared, the look of shock was purely genuine, then the biggest smile appeared, as he once again felt whole. Neo: "But... how?" ????: "The bond you and that sword made over the last few years was completely apparent as I reforged it. At first, there was going to be just another blade to it, but I noticed this link as I worked on it, and thought that this could not be just another sword. What I did instead was refine the three emeralds into a different format. Two of them were blended with a light, but durable titanium alloy, then the third was crafted into your new sheath." Neo: "You know, it also feels lighter too." ????: "And it should. The original was attuned to the wind element after all, so the sword now reflects this perfectly. You'll find that the weight is almost nonexsistant now, and that the blade will never break again, as it is linked by your own mind and bond. I give you the complete form of Kyoufuu. The true blade of the wind, Kagaikaze..." |

Shirayuki still isn't sure what she had for dinner last night, as she's not too familiar with Western culture, but nonetheless, the food Neo prepared for the group was delicious. And after having quite a sleepless nap, she joined everyone outside dressed in her usual sky blue short-skirted kimono with her long black hair tied in low pigtails. She stretched her arms high above her head as she made her way to the nearest tree then leaned her back against it, waiting for the main character to arrive... The wait wasn't long as Neo came out shortly after Umbra... It was time to see Neo's finished weapon. Actually, Shira's never seen his sword before, not even in broken pieces, and when Neo pulled the sword out of its sheath, she leaned in for a closer look. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't see anything. Her reaction was just the same as most others. "... Where's... the blade?" She didn't think it'd be a joke, and figured there must be something behind this bladeless sword. "I believe I can answer that for you..." Came a voice from behind, as the figure approached Neo past her. Revealing his face, Shira was surprised to see how young he is, or at least looks... And those eyes... It's impossible to describe how she felt when her own eyes fell on his... A sort of emptiness filled her... But aside from that, she was right. There is something behind the sword afterall. "Kamikaze... ka...?" She muttered to herself. It's a good name. God... Wind. (or divine wind... whatever) "May it lead us to whatever end..." |

Gengoro could not hold back his amazement at the unveiling of Kagaikaze, overpowering Cypher to get a look. It was an incredible blade, far and away more fine than anything he was capable of forging. While he had thought Kyoufuu to be a fine sword, and had many times felt its bite, this was one that put its predecessor, and in Gengoro's eyes his own blades, to shame. His eyes flashed to the blacksmith of the blade. This awed him more, that one of so little age could forge such a fine piece of work. He doubted that Valten, the village blacksmith from whom he had learned his craft, could match this boy. "His skill must be unparallelled," Gengoro breathed. His usual cocky grin was gone from his face, replaced by an expression of pure respect for both the blacksmith and the fruits of his labor. I wouldn't like being on the wrong end of that... |

His eyes never left his the shine of his new sword, as Neo heard the murmurs of the students around him. All were clearly surprised to see what he had recieved, and also to see their sempai in a more positive mood then yesterday. Ritsuka, Sage, and even Cristy could tell that he felt much more relieved then before, and walked over to see the new sword up close. Cristina: "Well I'll be damned. I never thought you'd ever shake that funk you were in, you moron." Neo: "Yeah yeah, I knew you were concerned too Cristy. Even I could tell that." Ritsuka: "In any rate, it's good to see you back to normal my friend. And we have you to thank for that, Mr..." ????: "Ayato. Kusinara Ayato." Sakai: "Ah yes, you aen't familiar with the young boy here. His ancestor was the one who forged the artifacts you wield in the first place Neo." Ayato: "I personally don't have the skills needed to reforge that sword to how you see it now, so I "borrowed" the knowledge from my ancestor." Sage: "Borrowed? How do you mean?" Just before Ayato could explain, one of the students who had went to the restroom in Hayato's home, saw something on the news, and ran out to tell the others. Student: "Sempai! Neo-sempai!! Come quick, you have to see this!!" Hearing this, Neo and the others ran back inside the house, Neo sheathing his sword as he started off. Inside, the news started to show the situation in China, and they could all guess as to who was causing this. Neo: "....Saito." Sage: "Looks like they didn't want to wait for us, eh?" Ritsuka: "At the rate they're going... who knows what they'll do..." Cristy: "Well, 'Fearless Leader....' What do we do now?" All eyes were locked onto Neo as he remained silent, looking at the news report. Something had to be done, and he was the only one on Earth who really could. But what could he do, Libra still wasn't activated yet. At that moment, there was a voicemail left on his cell by Murai. Apparently, in all the excitement, he never heard the phone ring at all. Murai: "Neo, it's me. I pulled some strings, called in a favor or two, but I got that location you wanted. You'll only have about three hours though. And yes, you can thank me later." Hanging up, Neo looked to the group that had assembled with him. They were there because each of them trusted him. Now it was time for him to do the same. Neo: "Ok, we have to make this fast. We need a way to have both us, and Saito's group moved to a specific location. I know the Webway will work, but we might be cutting close on time if we rely on just that. Any ideas anyone?" |

As Neo got the phone call, Umbra was finally pulling himself out of the pratfall that befell him when Neo's sword drew a balnk. Though he had to admit he was still in auw over Neo's new sword, and he'd like to truly test its abilities, but that would have to wait as Neo proposed his question. "Ok, we have to make this fast. We need a way to have both us, and Saito's group moved to a specific location. I know the Webway will work, but we might be cutting close on time if we rely on just that. Any ideas anyone?" Umbra dusted himself off and took a step forward. "Actually, I do." Umbra began with a note of pride. "I believe you know that I can transport my self through shadows, but infact I have a unique combination of powers at my disposal that could get this group where you need them, whether or not they are willing..." |

Gengoro nodded, deferring to Umbra's plan. "Though time in the Webway flows differently than time in realspace, I have no way of knowing when we'd arrive. We might arrive the moment we left, or two years too late if we take the wrong paths...I could get us on such a route that we could get there in a couple of seconds, but it would be hard to do so...No, shadow travel would work best. Cypher has similar abilities, perhaps he could be of some assistance." He began pacing, trying to think of some plan. If the odds were unchanged, then Saito's bunch consisted of six, four bad guys and two hostages. They, conversely, had seven on their side, each a formidable warrior. Added to the almost inevitable fact that Aries and Johnny would rebel and make a break for it the first chance they got, the advantage would clearly be theirs, especially since they could possibly use surprise to their advantage. "We should emerge near enough to stage a sudden sneak attack, but not near enough for them to see us and get the jump on us instead...we need to know the territory. Neo, what's this place Saito and his crew are attacking?" In anticipation of battle, his hand unconsciously fell to its familiar place on the hilt of his sword... |

"Tian'anmen Square... that's where they are." Neo was still calmly working on a plan to finally put an end to this once and for all as well. He knew that just going there with no plan is potentially suicide, and he still had to think of the hostages as well." "No Gengoro, we aren't going to go to them, that's probably what he wants. And I know he wouldn't come here where we are. No, we need a neutral point. Somewhere both groups can fight this out, and not know the layout of the area. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I need to speak to Cypher for a moment..." After Gengoro switched over to Cypher, relunctantly he was sure, he asked the group to huddle together as he explained where this last stand would be, and even Cristy was shocked at this. Cristy: "Wait... we're going THERE? Are you pulling my leg or something?" Neo: "Nope, thank Murai though, he had to pull a few strings though, but we're heading there. Umbra, head to China to grab the others, Cypher, your job is to get us there." Sakai: "If I may add, this will be for the two of you..." Still standing behind them all, Sakai pulled out two small flasks, filled with some sort of liquid, and handed them out to Umbra and Cypher. Sakai: "I don't know how strenous this will be, so take some of this with you. It's an ancient Japanese remedy for stress, and it also rejuvenates a person to where they fell like themselves again. And also, one last thing. Neo... you've grown so much since the day you arrived here from America. I now truly believe that potential of yours was used for all the proper reasons, and I believe you will make a proper master in the future." Neo: "Hai, Sensei... and thank you. Everyone... let's go." |

Cypher took the bottle of stress remedy, and regarded Sakai. "Thank you," his said in his usual voice. No sense of respect that Gengoro had adopted, nothing but complete flatness. That was the way Cypher talked; the only person who really had a problem with it was Gengoro. He then turned to look at the others he'd be transporting: Shira, Sage, Cristy, Ritsuka, and of course, Neo. "All right, for this to work I need everyone standing in such a way that their shadows mingle with my own," he instructed. "If we have one shadow, I can use it as one big door to get us from place to place. If someone falls behind, I'm not going back, so be careful about this, capice?" The others nodded, and then placed themselves around Cypher in such a manner that all their shadows mingled, until there was just a mass of darkness beneath their feet. "Don't be alarmed by any dropping sensation you might feel." Though said coldly, one attempt at a joke. With that, they melded into the floor, only to re-emerge seconds later in... |
