With a poof!, Illidan and Emmaline appeared in the Bazaar at Deva. The vast trade capital of the Dimentions. The old saying was that: If it exists, it can be found in the Bazaar at Deva. Of course those who frequently shopped or lived there like Illidan, had added a phrase onto the end of that saying: For a price.

The reasoning behind this little amendment is that the Deveels who run the Bazaar (you may know them as Devils), are quite possibly the most penny-pinching profit -hungry cheats you will ever meet in your lifetime. But they know their craft, and they perform it well.

The two had appeared just outside of one of the many restraunts that were in the Bazaar...this one happened to be a small cafe.

"I know you're probabally pretty disorentated by all this...why don't we get a bite to eat and we can talk? It's a bit more private than the street out here." Illidan said.

Emma looked around surprised. One moment she had been walking through the doors of the skating rink and the next here she was, standing admist the trade capital of the dimensions. She couldn't believe what all she saw here. It was crazy as hell and they were just standing on a street. She was, again, so caught up that she barely heard what Illidan said to her. A slight nod of her head indicated that she thought it was also a good idea, though she was still taking in the sights and sounds of the Bazaar itself. The cafe itself didn't seem to be too bad of a place to stop at for a bite to eat.

"This place is crazy!"

Illidan laughed and led the way into the cafe. He immedately scanned the small amount of customers in the cafe for anyone he knew. Illidan's eyes settled on someone he hadn't seen in awhile and was hoping he'd never see again: Hey-Ner. Illidan's old Landlord...while Illidan always made his payments, he never bothered to pay the "protection cost" tacked onto the rent....not that it mattered, any time Hay-Ner sent his boys to try and make Illidan pay, they were always sent packing.

A green, scaly, ferocious-looking demon sat in conversation with a blode-haired human who was about half the demon's size. The propriator of the shop, a particularly greasy-looking Deveel came out to meet them.

"Hey folks! welcome to my little easablishment...what'll it be?"

Emma glanced at Illidan and looked around the establishment. She saw all sorts of creatures and people in here and noticed her date staring at someone over a ways away. Before the owner came by to greet them, she leaned over to him and asked the question on her mind.

"Is that someone you know over there?"

And of course, then out came the proprietor and he asked what they wanted. She looked over at her date for an answer to the question, because, honestly, she had no clue what all was served here for food or drink or if people here even ate or whatever. Niomi felt inclined to chirp in with a comment about how she shouldn't be here and Emma retorted with that she had no choice in the matter. She sensed another argument with her AI coming up and did something she didn't know she could do. She muted Niomi out. She didn't need to be immersed in an internal argument while she could be ordering food.

"Uh... whats on the menu?"

"Just Hay-Ner...my old landlord...he always used to try and cheat me on the rent by tacking on a 'protection cost', but I never paid it...concequently me and him have traded punches and bullets more times than I can count...but there should be no problem. He wouldn't dare try and jump me in a public place...it'd kill his reputation here." Illidan said quietly. he then turned to the owner.

"It's been a long time, Goronzo...you still serving pervect cuisine, or is there actual food and drink on the menu?" Illidan grinned. Goronzo eyed him for a minute and then replied...

"why do you think I actually have customers here? I got some new staff who's last job was at a McDonalds..so, I figured I could just expand my menu."

Still smiling, Illidan turned to Emma.

"So, what would you like?"

Emma listened to what Illidan said and nodded her head in understanding. Deva sure was an odd place, and the people had really odd names, too. She listened to the exchange and figured that her date knew practically everyone in this place. She wouldn't be surprised if he did. She politely smiled at the proprietor and quirked an eyebrow at hearing the name McDonalds. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that McDonalds was truly a universal name and enterprise.

"Uh, I'll have a fish sandwich, please. And... what is there to drink here?"

She figured that a fish sandwich wouldn't be too hard to make and that it should be kind of universal, too. After all, fish were pratcially on every planet with water and since this was a trade capital of the dimensions, she figured that anything could be found here.

"We've got whatever you want to drink." Goronzo said, he'd evidently been evsedropping on the conversation. "Oh, and might I add...no wreaking the place. If you got problems with somebody, take it outside."

"hey, I'm not swinging first." Illidan said. "But if I get shot or punched at, I'm shooting or punching back. Oh, and I'll just take a strawberry milkshake."

Goronzo looked at Illidan.

"just that? You're usually starving when you come in here.." he said.

"meh, I'm not really a believer of three squares...I eat when my gut rumbles...and it's not rumbling now, so....no need to eat." Illidan replied.

"A pineapple smoothie, please."

Emmaline had been extremely relieved to hear that she could get whatever she wanted to drink here. She had chosen her favorite kind of drink, of course. She loved the taste of pineapple and she liked smoothies, so her liking a combo of the two was only natural. Though she felt a twinge of guilt when she heard her date's only order. She looked down momentarily, like she saw something on the floor, but her eyes were more looking at her stomach.

I could lose a few pounds...

Yes... god forbid you only weigh 114!

Shut up, Niomi... thats too heavy for me... I'm only 13!

Just because your two best friends weigh less means nothing. They're also older than you, Emma. They probably weighed that much when they were your age. Its only baby fat, after all.

-_-;; So now I'm a baby?

...

She realized she must have been staring at the floor after the argument and looked back up, suddenly. A sweatdrop rolled down her head as she felt relatively extremely embarrassed.

Goronzo nodded at Emma's statement and left into the kitchen. Illidan watched as Emma had her conflict with her inner-self. He could sense that something else was inside her..what it was he wasn't quite sure, as it didn't have any peice of it that was magik... Illidan then noticed that Emma was looing rather embarassed. He cast about for a change of subject...something to get her mind off of her inner-demon.

"Shall we have a seat?" Illidan said, nodding towards an empty table.

Grateful for the change in subject, or really a subject at all rather than the uncomfortable silence that her inner argument had left them in, she snatched it immediately. She sat down on one side of the empty table and pleasantly smiled at Illidan as she waited for him to either say something, or for the owner to come back out with their drinks. She was interested in seeing how her favorite beverage tasted in this realm and tried not to look too anxious as she waited.

"You and the owner appear to know each other..."

Illidan smiled.

"I've gotten him out of a few scrapes before...including keeping this restraunt open. He's not a bad guy, he just has horrible luck with business, and women. the last girlfriend he had attempted to take this place away from him...made up some phony marriage licence and got a lawyer to "divorce" them..." he said. "Fortunately that was back when I was working for the Mob for that short time, so I managed to pull some strings and tip the authorities off on the fake licence...she's banned from the Bazaar..and serving time, to boot...or so I hear."

Illidan closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again....remembering old times. He realized that the list of things he'd done in a few years exceeded the list of things most people do in a lifetime...He wasn't exactly too happy about it.

"I know alot of folks here...not everybody, of course..but more than a few. Mercs, Merchants, Magicians, wenches, assassins, bodyguards...well, speak of the Devil.." Illidan said, looking over towards the door where a large, armor-clad humanoid creature was entering..

The being was massive...abosoutely huge. while it was human-sized, not even the best body-builders could dream to have the physique this guy had. He was armored from head to toe. , nothing visible except a pair of yellow eyes. The being cuaght sight of Illidan and lumbered over, the ground shaking slightly as he moved.

"Orgov! I haven't seen you in ages! how've you been?" Illidan said, he then turned to Emma. "This is Orgov, Orgov the Tormentor when he's working....he's a merc and occasionally a bodyguard. We shared a foxhole awhile back...He may look feirce, but he's the nicest guy I know...that is, unless you're the enemy."
