Edana laughed as she hopped into the waterfall pool, resurfacing and brushing her hair out of her eyes. She swam over to the waterfall, eyeing the cave hidden behind it and wondering if she should go in, then decided that she wouldn't want to go it alone and just sat under the waterfall.

She closed her eyes and let the water wash over her, a peaceful smile on her face.

Not only was Aaron a ninja, he was a samurai...yeah, right.

He decided to give the 'meditation-under-a-waterfall' thing a try and quickly realized that getting hit by hundreds of gallons of water that had already fallen some distance and was going pretty fast hurt like hell. He pulled himself out of the water after a few minutes of getting pounded by the falls and saw someone else swimming not too far from him.

"Hey," he said to the girl, trying to get her attention.

Edana looked up when she heard somebody greet her and, upon seeing that it was a boy, promptly blushed and dived underwater. When she emerged, she was pulling herself onto the shore and over to h.er bag and boomerang.

She dug through her bag until she found a notebook and a pen, quickly writing. 'Hi' on the notebook and holding it up for him to see. She hoped he'd get the message that she couldn't talk to him quickly.

Aaron gave a blink when she wrote something down on a notepad and tilted his head to the side as he pulled himself out of the water, getting a little closer so that he could read it.

"'Hi'? Wh...oh," he said, quickly putting two and two together. "Sorry, didn't know...uh...I'm Aaron."

Edana grinned, writing, 'I'm Edana. Nice to meet you, Aaron. What were you doing out here?'

She handed the notebook to him to read and wrang the water out of her hair, giving him a curious look as she waited for him to reply.

"Edana...nice name. Uh...I was trying that 'meditate-under-the-waterfall' thing...didn't take too well, it kinda hurt..."

Aaron handed the notebook back to her and watched her curiously. thinking about what it would be like to not be able to speak. Sure, he wasn't a huge talker, but he did talk.

'It just takes a whole bunch of training. Once you can lit a giant boomerang over your head without getting tired, you can sit under a waterfall.' Edana wrote, gesturing towards her boomerang.

Water was dripping down her face from her hair and hitting the notebook and, brushing it off, the words got a bit smudged.

"A giant poomerang...wh..."

Then, he noticed that she was pointing to a very large boomerang. "Oh. Interesting..."

Putting the notebook down, he took a seat on the ground and looked at her. "Why do you have a giant boomerang?"

Edana laughed at his confusion.

'Why not? Actually, my parents gave it to me as a way to protect myself, I guess. I've been training with it for a really long time. I can't throw it very well, though.'

'It's pretty cool, though. Different, at least' She wrote, looking at him.

"'Why not?' Valid question, I guess," he said as he continued to read what she'd written down.

"Can't throw it very well, huh? Could it be because it's really, REALLY big?"

Standing up, he walked to the boomerang and attempted to pick it up, not getting really far with it.

"Good lord, this is heavy..."

Edana laughed, standing up.

'It's not because it's really, REALLY big.'

She picked up the boomerang and spun around in her hands, then set it right back down again.

'I handle it fine, but when I throw it, my aim is really off and it almost always ends up hitting ME instead.'
