Mackenzie grinned as she walked around the student underground with Lestat. She was dressed in jeans, black boots, a red shirt, and a jeans jacket. Her hair was up in a ponytail with a headband that looked like her jeans.

"We haven't hung out in a long while, Lestat-sama." Mackenzie said happily, looking around. "Where do you want to go? i haven't really been here before."

She looked around at all the bars, strip clubs, and night clubs and at the kids smoking and girls in skimpy outfits around, then back at Lestat. She, as usual, had her notebook in her hands.

Lestat looked over at Mackenzie, then around at all of the people around, he licked his lips as he saw the girls in their skimpy outfits thinking that their blood would taste exseptionally sweet.

"Yes...well...young Mackenzie, is there anywhere in paticular that you would like to go here?" Lestat asked, an expressionless look etched over his face. He was dressed in black leather biker boots, olive cargo pants, a black shirt and a long black leather trench coat.

Lestat eyed the necks of the people there at the Student Underground, they were all so young and alive. He licked his lips once again, he was sure getting hungry just staring at them.

He looked down and saw a rat scurrying by, he quickly stepped on it's tail stopping it from getting away. Lestat let out a deep sigh, hating to degrate himself to something so degrating as drinking the blood from rats, but what else could he do?

Lestat looked over to Mackenzie and with a muttered, 'excuse me', he appeared behind the counter of the bar pulling a glass out and walked back to her sitting at a table, the alive rat in one hand, the glass in the other.

With that he set the glass down and with one small swift gesture, he cracked the rat in half spilling it's blood into the cup making sure that not one drop was waisted, shortly after tossing the dead rat aside.

Lestat made a look of repulse.

"Blood...it gets cold...so very quickly." He spoke in a whisper, just loud enough to allow her to hear before drinking down the rest of the blood from the cup and tossing it to the side.

"Pardon that, I suppose...I was thirsty." Lestat said staring down at her once again. "Like I said, is there anywhere you would like to go?"

"I'm not that young." Mackenzie protested with a pout. Then she re-thought that. "Well, okay, compared to you..."

She saw him eyeing the other girls around and raised an amused eyebrow, wondering if he'd eaten. She watched as he caught the rat and cracked it in half, her eyes widening. She wasn't at all disgusted; She'd seen much worse just being at the school.

"I really wouldn't know." She said, smiling in amusement when he said blood got cold fast. She looked around, trying to see if there was any place of interest they could go to and pointing out a night club called the Black Death.

"How about we go in there?" Mackenzie suggested with a shrug of her shoulders. "I've never been to a night club before, actually."

Lestat listened to her as she spoke and cracked a faint smile when she answered saying that she wouldn't know what it's like since, obviously, she didn't drink blood. He crossed his arms and looked down at Mackenzie when she spoke of going into the night club, Black Death.

"Black Death eh? I would like to see if the club lives up to it's name." Lestat said, still hungry, rats never have been able to quench his blood lust. He then noticed a sticker on the window reading 'Love Is An Illusion, Hate Is Real' and smirked to himself.

"Well shall we go in then?" Lestat asked, giving an amused smile towards Mackenzie holding his hand out politely to her, awaiting her responce.

Mackenzie grinned and nodded, curtseying dramatically and taking his hand. "Of course. Let's go in, dance, get drunk, grind with somebody, and spend tomorrow throwing up."

She was, of course, kidding since she'd never touched alcohol in her life, but she'd never been to a nightclub either and didn't know they spiked the drinks. It was quite likel she'd get drunk if Lestat didn't keep her away from the bar.

Mackenzie headed inside, 'Ooooh'ing at the bright lights and pulsing music and the people all over the place moving to the beat. Mackenzie began swaying from side to side as well, laughing.

"This looks so cool!" She shouted so Lestat could hear her over the music. "Let's dance, let's dance!"

She dragged him with her, pushing past people and occasionally getting pushed back until they were on the dance floor and started dancing, looking very excited. They were playing a mixture of punk, grunge, and gothic music, but Mackenzie listened to everything so she really wasn't too concerned with what they played.

Lestat blinked a couple of times, watching her dance, finding her imensily beautiful. He couldn't find himself to dance, he believed that he would make a fool of himself, so he just watched for the time being.

It wasn't merely her beauty, it was the astonishing innocence of her sweet face. She moved so lightly and swiftly he could not see his feet actually take steps. Mackenzies' innocent eyes regarded him without anger, her hair, for all the darkness in the room, only the faint glows of lights moving about the room giving them light her hair seemed to be giving off faint reddish glints.

Lestat smiled to himself, enjoying the company that had with eachother, not really knowing if it was the right time to talk or not, but found it in himself to say something.

"Your hair's like something spun from saphires, as if the saphire would melt and could be drawn from candle flames in long airy threads and let to dry that way to make all these shining tresses." He said softly, meaning each and every one of the words and soon found it in himself to dance along with her but not before caressing her cheek, with his cold pale hand, finding it astonishing how warm mortals could be.

Mackenzie was busy dancing when she looked over at Lestat, noticing that he wasn't dancing very much. She smiled, leaning in when he started talking so she could hear him better and when he finished talking, her face was a very faint pink.

"Th-Thank you." She stammered, smiling. Her face flamed even more when he touched her cheek and she involuntarily shivered since she her face and neck were extremely sensitive.

Hoping the strobe lights were hiding her bright red face, she went back to dancing, glad that he was dancing too instead of staring at her. Not that she minded. But a club WAS for dancing afterall.

Mackenzie danced for two more songs before she got tired amd stopped, smiling at him. "I'm thirsty. Want me to get you something when I go get some water, or do you want to come, too?"

She eyed some girls behind him whose eyes were attached to his lower body parts. "I think you're being checked out a bit too much. The curse of going into a night club with a hot guy. Other girls always check him out."

"No problem."

He continued dancing as well until she said she was thirsty.

"Um..." He scratched the back of his head. "I'll go with you..." He said eyeing the girls as well who were checking his lower body regions. Lestat turned to them, facing them putting his arm around Mackenzie's waist as an initial hint that he was taken, though, tecniquely, he wasn't.

"`C mon..." He said, actully smiling at her as he walked Mackenzie over to where the drinks were sold, lowering his arm from around her waist and sticking both hands into his pockets with a slight sight.

"The curse of being gorgous." He said smirking.

Mackenzie smiled when Lestat slipped an arm around her waist, sticking her tongue out at the girls and mouthing 'Mine', even though, technically, he wasn't. Satisfied when they stormed off in a huff, she walked with him over to the drink area and smirked at him.

"Oh yes, and you would know all about that, wouldn't you?" She said, laughing. She turned to the man selling the drinks and asked for the only non-alcoholic beverage there: Water. She turned to look at him. "Do you want anything?"

The man gave her a glass of water and she drank it, pausing and wrinkling her nose slightly before finishing it off. She looked up at him and smiled as a slow song came on. "Want to dance with me again?"

He stared down at her giving his signature 'Lestat-cocky-boy' smirk and ran his fingers through his practically perfect blonde hair.

"Is it my fault I was created so perfect?" He laughed.

He shook his head when Mackenzie asked if he wanted anything to drink.

"No my dear, I think I'll be fine like this for now."

He turned facing the dance floor, watching as eveyone seemed to pair off and glanced back over at Mackenzie.

"Sure, I'd love to dance with you Mackenzie darling." He said with an ever present smile leading her to the dance floor, putting both hands around her waist dancing with her to the song.

Mackenzie watched him run his fingers through his hair, pouting. She'd always wanted to do that. She rolled her eyes at his words. "Yeah, breath-takingly perfect. In fact, i feel faint. Your incredibly sexiness is enough to make me want to ravish you."

The sarcasm dripping off her words was amusing, but she grinned. "Well, you're sexy anyway. Are you happy now? Head big enough?"

She followed him onto the dance floor, reaching her arms up to wrap around his neck, pouting again. "Why is everybody so much taller than me? I feel like a midget."

Mackenzie stared up at him, narrowing her eyes playfully. "Either I shrink, or you guys grow too much. I order you to stop growing, Lestat-sama." She said as she rested her head against him, slowly swaying to the music.

Lestat chuckled lightly to himself listening to Mackenzie as she spoke, finding her rather, quite amusing.

"Yes...I believe it's about there." He smirked, swaying perfectly to the beat, as they danced, the two of them almost seemed to be riseing. Actually, they were.

Lestat looked down at her, smiling ever so slightly, his fangs showing, glinting as all the small lights danced around.

"How's it like flying with a dark angel?"

The entirety of the students in the room forming a circle around the two, watching the two dance, 'ou-ing and aw-ing' every now and then.

Mackenzie glanced downwards, gasping happily before looking back up at him. “Wow, this is so amazing! I’m so Peter-Pan-y right now.”

She tilted her head to the side, positively beaming at him. “You know, you smile a lot more than you used to. I bet it’s because you’re happier. You are, aren’t you? Admit it.”

She waved at the students all around them, laughing. She felt extremely elated at the moment. She loved flying, ever since Lestat had flown them home from the mall and it made her happy to be doing it again. And she loved spending time with him, because he always found some way to make her feel special.

The slow song ended and Mackenzie sighed happily, staring up at him, forgetting for the moment to let him go. “You’re a good dancer, Lestat-sama.”

Lestat stared down at Mackenzie not really knowing what Peter Pan was but if it made her happy, then he was glad.

He arched one eyebrow at her, finding her to be rather funny. It might be true, he really didn't know to be honest. Mackenzie was really, the only person that he had met there and actually gotten to open up to. Why wouldn't he be more happy around her?

"Well, Mackenzie...I suppose you're right. Though about fifty or sixty years ago, I would have never made friends with a mortal. NEVER! But it isn't fifty or sixty years ago. It is now. All I really have is you for the moment, that's all I really need to be quite honest...a friend." Lestat said turning away, his deathly pale skin getting a crimson aura around it, though, it was too dark to tell there at the moment anyways.

Once the song ended her and him both calmly floated back to the dance floor. He looked down at her and slightly smiled when he commented on him being a good dancer.

"Um...thank you Mackenzie, you are a good dancer too."

Mackenzie smiled brightly, watching Lestat turn away and wondering if vampires could even blush. "I'm always here for you if you need me, Lestat-sama. Even if it's just to feed your ego. Or wash your car... Which you don't have. Or even if you need me to hide you because the police are after you and you need to lay low for a couple of months. I'll be there! And I'll yell at you for not letting me join in on the fun. What a great story that would be."

She let him go as another fast song came on and curtseyed. "You're better. Now, please excuse me while I go to the little lady's room. You're welcome to come, but, you know, boys aren't allowed in the girls' bathroom."

She turned around and made her way through the crowd and into the bathroom, spotting the same girls from earlier in there and snickering before heading into a stall. She came out a few minutes later and washed her hands, ignoring the stares from the girls that were on her and let her hair down out of the ponytail because she liked it better down anyway. She turned around, looking surprised that she backed against the sink with one girl on each side.

When she came out of the bathroom a bit later, she looked extremely amused from the 'threats' she'd received to 'stay away from the hunk with the cool hair' and couldn't help snickering under her breath once or twice before she relocated Lestat.

"Hey, can we go to a kareoke bar after this? I want to sing stuff!" Mackenzie asked curiously, still looking amused.

Lestat chuckled to himself ever so slightly, amused by Mackenzie's long speech about being there for him.

"Whatever you say Mackenzie." He said tucking his hands into his pockets and sighing softly as he watched her walk off.

When he sensed her come back in and walk to her she seemed to be snickering about something or another. He questioned himself what it was, had he something on his beautiful face? Lestat wasn't sure so he asked.

"What's so funny?" He asked but before he could allow her a chance to answer he arched an eyebrow, an un-pleasent smile on his face.

"A kareoke bar? Um...sure if you really want to go but don't go expecting me to sing at all." He said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Funny? Oh, right. Those girls from earlier were in the bathroom. They threatened to cut off my beautiful hair and lock in me in the bathroom stall and, even worse, start a cat fight." Mackenzie explained, snickering all over again. "See what kind of trouble you caused me, tall, dark, and beautiful?"

She laughed at the un-pleasant smile, knowing he wouldn't be too keen on the idea. She, personally, thought it would be fun, but she wasn't going to drag him there if he didn't want to go. Not tonight, anyway.

"I didn't say YOU had to sing stuff. I said I wanted to sing stuff." Mackenzie said, smiling happily. "But I can tell by your face that the idea doesn't appeal to you very much so we could go to the movie theater or go get some food or whatever." She smirked. "And then when we get back to the dorm room, I'll sing so much, you'll wish I was mute!"

She took his hand, pumping her fist in the air with her free hand. "Let's get outta here, bay-bee! Off into the wild, blue yonder!"

"Ah, I see." Was all that he said at her first comment. He didn't really mind that he was getting picked on because, well, he knew that she could take care of herself.

"Well, to tell you the truth, I don't think the idea would be all that fun. I mean singing infront of total strangers, they critizing your every move." He sighed. "Sounds simply rediculous to me but if you really wanted to go, then I wouldn't mind at all."

He cocked an eyebrow when she spoke of her singing in the dorm room and wishing she would be mute.

"Hey, that's not a problem, when don't I wish you were mute?" Lestat said smirking, obviously joking around.

When she took his hand and yelled he chuckled very softly to himself.

"Alright...well the whole food thing is out of the question since...human food to vampires, well at least the one you see before you, thinks that human food tastes like vile. I'll leave the picking to you Mackenzie." Lestat said calmly.

"They'd have nothing to criticize because I happen to have a beautiful voice, thank you very much!" Mackenzie said, making a peace sign and winking. "Loosen up, Lestat-sama!"

She pouted. "Hey! That's not nice! Are you saying I talk a lot? Because I don't! Not really! Only when the person I'm tyalking to doesn't have something to say and I don't want to conversation to die or anything, but I really don't talk a lot. Really!"

She blinked as she realized how much she'd spoken just to explain that she didn't talk a lot. "Oh... Poo on you."

Mackenzie gasped. "Vile? Even candy? And pocky? And.... Candy?"

She shook her head. "What a shame. We're going to... The park! Is that alright with you?" Not even bothering to wait for an answer, she began tugging him towards the exit of the club and outside, where she proceeded to smile cheerfully. "My first time in a nightclub. Yay! I shouldn't have left my notebook, though. It's my job to see and record!"

"Hmmm...the only person with a beautiful voice here is me." Lestat commented, finding his voice very charming and seductive.

He mearly sweatdropped when Mackenzie talked so much, all about...ironically...not talking much. To him however, it was rather funny. He even laughed a bit at her long explination.

Lestat arched and eyebrow at the girl.

"Yes.........even candy." He said dully staring at her, his face showing no emotion.

He looked at her when she mentioned going to the park, all in all it didn't seem like a bad idea at all.

"Um...sure why not? The park sounds like a splendid idea actually." He said almost brightly. "Luckily it's night right now or I wouldn't have been able to go with you."

"Nuh uh." Mackenzie said, shaking her head. "I have a beautiful voice. You have that 'I'm mysterious and sexy and seductive so come over here and fuck me' voice." She explained as if it were a discussion about Santa Clause or something. "And you've got the look going for you, too. The 'Look' look." She said with air quotations.

She gasped, pretending to cry. "I feel your pain, Lestat-sama! I feel it deep within the very bowls of my soul!"

She grinned when he agreed, pumping her fist in the air. "The park! Onward!"
