Instead of going back to the dorms and sitting there and waiting for him she grabbed three blankets and left the dorm. She had told Brodee she was going to be sleeping at the waterfall which she was going to be. She had to regroup herself and not lash out like she had at the club. The night was still clear and beautiful. Only if someone was here to share this moment with her, deep in her heart she wished it was Brodee. She could only hope that he would follow her to the waterfall. Emily set the blanket down on the ground next to the tree. She sat down on the blanket and looked at the waterfall. It was so peaceful and quiet, but what was that? She had just heard a noise come from the bush. |

OOC: Loneliness meets a brooding lone-wolf. (This'll have events leading up to that movement in the brush.) IC>>> (It was quiet out here....except for the buzzing of insects and the occasional small mammal. And then there was the young man sitting down, talking to something approximately canine. Or rather...lupine. He was a student at AHS, of course, one of the newer ones. He had silvery eyes like the moon and brown hair. His clothing were best-suited to make him blend in with the land...because he was a great hunter of sorts. The name of this person was Ray. The name of the wolf...was unknown. Wolves weren't big on names, but they had things to say to those that knew how to listen.) Ray: Just...what am I doing out here? (The wolf cocked its head.) Ray: I know why I'm suppose to be out here, but why here? (A small grunt escaped the wolf's mouth.) Ray: Where else? How about home? Back with my own family and people. I feel so isolated out here... (A low growl, not necessarily one of anger, came next.) Ray: I meant besides you guys. But I mean...wouldn't YOU rather be where I live? The wolf is sacred over there, and I even share that bloodline. (A short bark, and another growl, pawing the ground.) Ray: "We belong where we are"? Okay, fine, but this isn't where I really belong. Do I really have to go so far away to understand what I have? I know life is a journey, but I feel like it's an upward battle. (A small whine.) Ray: You're right. It can't be forever. And when I get back...anything could happen. (It was then that the wolf's ears perked up and its nose twitched. Something new was in the area and Ray could tell his 'companion' was about to find out what...) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (The small rustling noise came to be the sound of a wolf, looking curiously into the area. He was a brown and white pelted creature with deep and dark eyes. At the moment, it didn't look very dangerous, but how would the human he had found react... Then again, Ray was approaching...) Ray: So, what was it? Oh... (Ray noticed Emily, the blankets, and the the way it seemed to fit right in with the rather nice scenery, and immediately assumed that this girl was expecting someone for a quiet - or maybe only semi-quiet - night under the stars.) Ray: Ummm, sorry. Am I disturbing something? I was just seeing what he *Pointing to the wolf* was looking for. |

In the distance, a soft 'thump, thump' could be heard. More so, it was felt, like something heavy treading along the ground. Even fainter could be heard a quiet whirring sound, as though gears were churning, propelling whatever it was forward. Perhaps, worst of all, was that the sound was probably less than fifty yards away. As he walked, Jerum subconsiously shook one mailed hand, which dripped blood and gore. It came from the beast from the dark forest, slain, then dismembered and torn apart to prevent resurection. "Disgusting beaste," he rumbled, his words sounding far away inside the helmet. Yet, it sounded powerful as well, like the one behind the helm was death itself. It was the armour he wore that whirred, and his steps thudded hollow as he walked, the three hundred pound suite propelled by strong gears. Over the armour was worn a robe like garment, with a cross on the front. "A member of the Black Angels, reduced to slaying simple demons. I must find a way back to my time. I should be fighting in the Emperors name!" With an irritated sigh, Jerum slung his massive gun over one shoulder, and rested the other, gore stained hand on the pommel of the five foot sword at his hip. "These old Terranians have no respect for a Space Marine." As the large warrior made his way towards the falls, he saw two other people, about fifty feet away. |

Emily looked over and saw a wolf coming towards her. She was immediately scared and clutched at one of the blankets. It didn’t seem like the wolf was going to hurt her since it just stood off by the bush it came out of and a boy came out right after the wolf. The boy came up to her and spoke to her. She let go of her blankets and stood up straitening out her dress. Emily was dressed in her work clothes which consisted of a white blouse and a long black skirt. “No, I’m not waiting for nobody. I came here because I can’t stand my roommate at the moment. My name is Emily Marie Decosta by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She smiled at the boy and gave a little curtsy. It was how she was raised to be. She was polite to strangers and her master who was no more. She looked again to the wolf that the boy had followed. The wolf looked harmless. Then again you never could tell. |

(It seemed to Ray that the wolf he'd followed was scared the girl he'd found sitting here. She said to him that she could not stand her room-mate, which was funny to Ray almost, because he had not yet CLAIMED a room from the dorms. In any case, he introduces himself after she speaks.) Ray: I'm Ray Devorak, and that's.... (He looks over to the wolf, trying to remember if he'd mentioned a name, or a title, or something to call him. He didn't.) Ray: I don't know who he is. I bumped into him an hour ago. The wolves around here hunt for small prey, not people. (He faces the wolf again.) Ray: Just the same, better leave. (The wolf seems to nod or lower his head or submit or something, and then quietly heads back into the foliage. Afterwhich, Ray was curious as to what Emily had meant about not being able to stand her room-mate anymore.) Ray: So, what about this room-mate? Is he a pest or something worse? |

She watched the wolf leave and then turned her attention to Ray. She didn't want to be rude to him by not looking at him while talking to him. "My room-mate is a pest. He's kinda wierd and I really need to find a new dorm. I like it out here though, since it seems like the wolves are nice. I could sleep out here" Who was she kidding, she couldn't sleep out at the waterfall every night. Even while she had been a slave she had always slept indoors. "What about you, what are you doing out here?" |

(There was a varely perceivable raising of Ray's right eyebrow at Emily's mention of sleeping out here. He didn't know why he did that. He just felt it to be odd somehow. He himself didn't mind coming out here, staying out here, and practically dwelling out here. It was natural for him. He hunted and killed, tracked and supported whatever small needs he required. He had ways to deal with the cold, the more wild animals - everything. Of course...the latter two had to do with his powers...but that didn't matter.) Ray: Well, to be honest, I have been staying out here when class is not in session or whatever. The life I grew up in was one well-attuned to the wilderness...way down in Brazil. So, I'm use to being out on a night like this. (He looks up at the stars, just then... No, it was the moon he faced. It was....almost full. Ray's people were in reverance to the wolf, and they believed him to be especially important because he exhibited lupine traits and abilities, saying that he had the blood of a wolf himself. Ray could become a wolf, almost at will. Nay, not just any kind of wolf, but one of greater strength than normal. And more than that, there was the moon... The moon gave him power.) Ray: In fact... On a night like this, I usually have the power to scale that mountain in only a short while, which has been a good exercise. |

"I..I grew up in some village where they thought it was ok to have slaves. I have been a slave for 17 years of my life. I know nothing else, but now I'm free." Emily didn't want simpaty for her past. She only wanted to make the most out of her life now. She wanted to understand her powers and help people with them. Her powers of death, were still unclear. |

Ray: Slave? I thought that sort of thing went out years ago. (Had his kinfolk been still living in the U.S. instead of moving down to Brazil, they might've been slaves themselves. Ray gritted his teeth slightly at the thought, but calmed himself. There was nothing to be mad at here. Emily wasn't a slave NOW, so she must have done something about it and ended up here like all other "Metas".) Ray: Well...I hope things are better for you now. Did the errr...'owners' get what was coming to them? (He was hinting at comuppence, or poetic justice, or something to that effect.) |

Before the answer could be given, a strange dark presence filled the area for a few seconds before dark energies collided at one point near the middle of the falling waters of dragoon mountain. A human of some sort appeared, and he looked around, then looked down. "Oooh, not again!" the human fell and splashed into the water below. He came out on the side were the others were, and surprisingly he wasn't wet. A small shield surronded his body, making it look as a dark aura surronded him. It dissapeared and the remaining water fell to the ground. HE was grumbling to himself. "Only around dragoon mountain I swear..." He turned and found that their were others around. the way he looked this wasn't the first time he had fallen into the lake by the waterfall and encountered others after the incident. Even still he gave a bow. "Greetings. Sorry for the intrusion, I'm continually trying to do better with my teleporting. My name is Chris, what are your names?" He glanced and thought he saw movment in the darkness...no two things. One looked like an animal, and he identified it as a wolf. He liked wolves and wore a necklace of one. the second thing he saw...he wasn't sure, it was to dark to tell. He shrugged it off, not realizing he had seen the Marine. |

(The appearance of this guy, Chris, seemed a bit perplexing to Ray. Not, mind you, because he had appeared out of basically nowhere. No, it was because he'd done so...and fallen into the water. He came out and identified himself...in a way, then asked them their names. Meanwhile, Ray read Chris' face to see that he'd been looking into the woods and seen something there.) Ray: My name's Ray Devorak. Ehhh...what are you looking at? (He sounded curious, not offended.) |

"I'm Emily Marie Decosta and yes my owners did get what was coming to them. He tried to take me back and was shown how wrong he was. Not by me though, my powers arn't like that." Emily eyed the new comer. |

ooc- sorry for the long wait. Bic- Chris gave a bow. "Its a pleasure to meet you two. I thought i saw a wolf not to far from here. Its a rarity to see one so close to humans, I hope i didn't scare it off earilier when I dropped in. So, what brings you two to the water fall?" |

(His eyes narrowed as he looked back out into the woodland areas to confirm... Yes, he still saw the wolf from before in there. Curiosity was not just a cat-like trait. Such things were universe. Chris made mention of the wolf, then asked them what they were out here for. Well, he actually had very little to do with Emily here, so he answered...) Ray: The wolf was with me, actually. You could say I have an empathy and understanding of them. Anyway, I don't really have particular reason to be here, really. I like the lands that surround me, and I roam much like the wolf. |
