Miharu and her father, Vahn, had been walking for quite some time now. It was a great surpise to her when her father seemed to just appear at her dorm room. It had been close to three years since Miharu came to the Earth against her will, due to war on her home planet. For these three years Miharu and her gaurdian, Auron, lived alone and just a few months ago came to AHS. Now her father had managed to track her down and was now on earth and visiting with her. Unfortunately Vahn couldn't take her home yet, but her father would be able to take her home soon. However, Miharu was considering staying on earth, it would be a tough decision now that she had fallen in love with someone. On this walk through the forst Miharu had learned of what happened after she left her home. How the war ended a few months later, but her people (the Autines) were forced to leave and find a new planet to settle on because the old planet was pretty much devestated. However, the ones who had started the war (the Humans on her home planet) remained on the planet, but still hate the Autines. So the Autines found a new home and created a space fleet to defend their planet in case the humans tried tracking them down. Miharu also learned on this walk that this new planet was nice, and all of Miharu's friends were okay and unharmed from the war. Unfortunately her mother died of illness not long after the war ended. Miharu was pretty sad, but she was glad that atleast her father was still alive. Now Miharu and her father had gotten on the subject of Earth. Miharu told him how it was nice here, but she didn't know many people so it got kind of lonely. She had also explained how she met Kaoz, the boy she was now dating. Like Miharu, Vahn had purple hair and red eyes. He also looked to be maybe in his twenties, even though he was about 40 or so. It was just a trait all Autines had, they looked younger than they really are. They were now running out of things to talk about, "So, uh," Vahn searched for something to say. He finally thought of something, "Have you still been practicing the Jyuuken?" He asked, reffering to the fighting style which was only learned within Miharu's family line. Miharu shook her head, "I haven't really been able to." She said, "I only learned the basics before I left, so I haven't really been able to expand on it. I still only know the basics." Vahn nodded, "I see. Well, remember it is only for self defense. And it is also something passed only through our family, so you should try your best and learn." "Okay," Miharu said, "Will you teach me a bit more about it later?" Vahn nodded, "Sure, but why such a hurry? Have you made some enemies or something?" He said jokingly. Miharu laughed a bit, "Not really." She said, "But there are some people who don't really like me much, and I don't really like them much." She shrugged, "But no real enemies." "I see," He said, "Well, you're a tough girl. If you get in trouble, you can handle yourself." He said putting a hand on her shoulder. Miharu smiled. It was nice to be with her father after three years of being away from her family. |

Sid was in his Alien form at the moment. It was the best form to be used when he was stlking people to observe them and their behaviors. He crawled through the trees, much in a way that was similar to that of a chameleon. Going from one branch to another, making sure to make the least amount of movement in the trees as possible. He wasn't going to harm the two Humans at this point, or at least he assumed they were Humans. He just wanted to see this "Family" relationship he's heard so much about. |

Miharu and Vahn continued walking, not really saying much anymore. they were just enjoying the pretty nice day together. Miharu was thinking of the choice she'd have to make. She could either remain her with the boy she loved, or she could return to a brand new home on a different planet with just her father. It was hard choice for her. Vahn, however, glanced back behind them a few times. While he couldn't exactly put his finger on it, he could sense an aura nearby. At this distance he couldn't really make out a size or precise reading. It could've just been an animal or something. That aura didn't feel threatening or anything, it just seemed odd for something to be following the two. He just ignored it for now, as it didn't seem to be threatening. |

He noticed how the older Human glanced back sometimes. Sid didn't really care about it and kept following them. The Family relationship was something he had never experienced before. As an Alien, his kind lived in a Hive in more insect-like lifestyle. It didn't allow too much interaction, and it didn't really matter anyway. He caught up with them through the branches. But the one he had chosen wasn't the best choice for him. He was 9 feet tall and quite heavy, and the branch could quite hold him as he thought. It cracked once and he, out of instinct, immdiatly leapt to the nearest branch he could think of. The one he had been on snapped and fell to the ground, while the one he was on now was ahead of the two and didn't have too much cover for him. Nice move... |

Both Miharu and Vahn turned around to look at the fallen tree branch. Miharu didn't think much of it other than maybe the wind or something. Vahn on the other hand was kind of suspicious. He had sensed the aura continue following them. He looked at the branch and then around trying to find where the aura had gone. "Miharu, are you sure you don't have any enemies?" He asked. "I don't have any." She said, "Why?" Could I have been recognized? He thought, No, there aren't any humans around here who even now about Autines, much less who I am. He then looked down at Miharu, "Uh, I think we're being followed..." He said glancing around trying to sense the aura again. |

Now that he was closer he observed them even more closely. He stayed where he was as the two looked back at the fallen branch. The young girl didn't seem to wary of his presence, but the opposite could be said for the older man. Now closer to them, Sid could got a whiff of their scent. It wasn't exactly Human, but it seemed a little familiar. Maybe he had encountered their kind on an attempted Infestation of another planet. While he thought, his tail drooped down from the branch and into the open, he didn't even notice it. |

Miharu looked up at her father, wondering why he seemed so worrying. The truth was Vahn was worried that the humans from Stonby (Miharu and his homeplanet) had made there way to this planet and saw their cruiser concealed behind Earth's moon. Perhaps they had followed his ship. He then got a general idea of where the aura was. He turned around and saw the tail hanging from the branch. He quickly stepped in front of Miharu, so he could shield her if he needed. "What is it?" Miharu asked spotting the tail. Vahn shouted out, "Who's there? Show yourself!" |

At the sound of the man's shouting voice, Sid quickly retracted his tail back up into the trees. There was no real point in hiding now, but it was his instinct to try and conceal himself again. So instead of replying, he crawled about the trees that surrounded the two. Not really paying attention to any ruffling of the leaves he made while he moved. So he made some noise among the branches, and some created some movement among the branches. |

"What is going on?" Miharu said looking around as the branches and leaves around them rattled. Both Miharu and Vahn thought they saw something a few times, but couldn't make it out. Vahn shouted again, "Who's there?!" He was wondering what was going on. Something seemed to be circling them, and this worried Vahn. He knew a lot of creatures circle their prey before attack, but there shouldn't be any predators like that in a school like this. Neither of them had any weapons. Vahn didn't need any if something did attack though, he was pretty skilled in a martial arts style past through their bloodline called the Jyuuken. It was Miharu he was worried about. Miharu was the only family Vahn still had, and Vahn was the only family Miharu had. If anything happened to his daughter, Vahn would be extremely sad. He clenched his fists one more time. More thoughts about it being one of his enemies from the war on their planet spread through mind. "Who's there?!" He shouted one more time in a demanding tone. |

Sid still didn't want to reveal himself, but they already knew he was there. So there was no point in trying to conceal himself. He let out a growl/hiss from his throat, loud enough for them to hear. The man sounded like he wanted a fight, and Sid was trying to assert that he was up to it. Sort of like before two animals start fighting. |

Both Miharu and Vahn heard the hissing and growling. Vahn took a step closer to hius daughter. He glanced down at her, "We're getting out of here." He said. He no longer thought it was any sort of enemy, but it seemed like a large animal of some sort. Miharu turned around and began walking slowly away. While Vahn did the same and kept glancing back. His hands began to glow a faint blue. If he had to, he would fight whatever was stalking them. |

Hmm..... The pseudo-Human seems to have powers..... Sid thought as he stayed in the branches. He knew Humans around this area, and the institution, possessed power of sorts. But this Non-Human also had powers, a very interesting thing to him. So he'd give this man a try-out. He crawled down the trunk of the tree, much like a gecko, and made his way for the ground. He reached the ground and stood fully upright, then started to follow them on foot. He didn't bother trying to hide his presence now. |

Both Miharu and her father saw the creature climb down the tree. Neither of them have seen anything like this before, and had no idea what it was. Vahn didn't care what it was the, right now the only thing he cared about now was protecting his daughter. If there weren't so many trees overhead, then they could both fly right out of here. "Move it, Miharu!" Vahn shouted and they both began moving faster. Whatever this thing was, it didn't seem all too friendly. Vahn clenched his fists, and the light blue glow increased. He pointed on hand behind him and shot a small warning shot of energy at the thing's head. With any luck the thing would back off from coming at them. |

Running wasn't the best choice with an Alien. Like most animals, his instincts would make him give chase as soon as they started running. He didn't have to speed up too much, his long strides made it easy to move in on them. He ran on his hind legs for this chase, no need to chase the two on all fours. The energy bolt that was shot at him hit Sid on the top of his head. It didn't stop him, but it hurt and he roared at the man. He leaned his head back then brought it back down sharply. This caused him to spit a glob of black acid at Vahn, but his aim wasn't all too good. He continued to give chase, quickly gaining ground on them. |

Vahn saw the black blob fly right past him, and some of it got on his jacket sleeve. It ate away a little at the sleeve. Oh shit, He thought, We've have to get out of here... He looked around. If only they could get to an opening in the treetops, then both of them could fly off. Vahn couldn't think of anything else to do except try and confront this thing chasing them. He grabbed Miharu and pushed her toward some foilage, "Hide." He said. She did so and hid in some bushes nearby, expecting her father to come too. However Vahn did not follow, instead he turned around facing this thing. Almost instantly a pair of large angelic wings, which seemed to be light blue and slightly transparent, formed on his back. These wings were made from his own energy. He was hoping he could maybe intimidate the creature with the long wings. He stood there fapping his wings lightly, buy staying on the ground, and lifting his arms up in a fighting stance in case the creature came at him. |

Sid slowed to a stop when the older Human pushed the girl into a nearby bush. Then it turned around and attempted a classic, and usually quite effective, animalistic technique. He tried make himself look bigger then he really was. But this wouldn't sway a nine-foot tall Alien, or any Alien for that matter. His kind had no real sense of Death, they would throw themselves at something ten-times their own size. So he stayed where he was, in a bit of a stare down with the Human. He looked like he was ready fight, and protect the girl. He decided he play a little mind game with him, Sid shot a glob of acid near where the girl was hidden. He slowly started to take steps closer to them, more specifically the girl the man was attempting to protect. Your move.... |

Miharu crawled back a bit as the acid hit near she was. She too wasn't afraid to fight if she had to, but her father wanted her to stay hidden, so she would obey him. Vahn didn't look too happy when the thing walked closer to Miharu. His wings then spread thier full length, about a four feet each, so the total wing span was around right feet. This probably wouldn't intimidate the creature any but it would maybe distract him enough to let Miharu get away. |

Sid continued on his path toward Miharu. He didn't even give a second thought to the expansion of Vahn's wings. He stopped for a moment as he came near him on his way to the girl and looked at him. But he headed back off towards his objective, and just swung his ten-foot tail at Vahn as he passed. He growled louder and bore his teeth more as he stepped ever closer to his prey. |

Vahn's wings flapped once and lifted him up a bit into the air as the tail came for him. It grazed his leg, but only cut one of his pant legs. Miharu had began crawling deeper into the foilage as the creature got closer. Vahn didn't know what to do now. The thing had now passed him and was still making his way closer to Miharu. If only Vahn had some sort of weapon, then he could fight this thing. Vahn landed on the ground a few feet away from the creature. Again his hands began glowing blue, and he shot two shots of energy from his palms directly at the creature. This was really the only thing Vahn could do, other than hand to hand combat, in such a cramped environment. |

Sid was about to stop and just roar at the girl, but two bolts of energy hit him in the back of the head. One knocked him to the side, the other hit the exact same spot as the last. This caused a small dent in his exoskeleton, he stayed where he was for a second just looking at the ground. Then he abrubtly turned to look at the winged-Human with his fangs clenched and growling. That hurt... He leapt up at the man with his claws out front, hoping to bring him back down to the ground. |

Vahn flapped his wings in an attempt to escape the creature's leap. However, he didn't make it in time and was knocked to the ground. He landed on his back looking up at the creature. His wings disappeared into thin air and he felt a bit dazed, because he hit his head when he hit the ground. He stared up at the creature trying to think of what to do. Meanwhile, Miharu had stood up exposing her hiding place. She looked at her father. Her father wanted her to escape, but after three years without him, Miharu wasn't about to leave his side. She clenched her fists. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to fight this creature who was so large compared to her. Perhaps someone would be nearby to help? It was worth a try, "Stay away from him!" She shouted as loud as she could to the creature, not sure if it would understand what she said or not. |

Sid crouched over him, holding him to the ground with his claws on Vahn's shoulders. He lowered his head so that his jaws were only inches away from the man's face. He opened his mouth and let his extendable mouth come out a ways. The mouth went even closer to his face, but didn't come all the way down on him. He heard the girl shout and decided it was time to stop playing with them. The mouth snapped a few times at Vahn and retracted back into Sid's jaws. He stood completely up, looked down at the man once last time, and leapt up into the branches overhead. He found himself a sturdy branch and made himself a cocoon to change back into Human form. Within a few moments, Sid reappeared in Human-form, fully-clothed, and dropped back down to the ground. He figured his Alien tail would give away that he was the one who attacked them. |

Miharu was about to fire some of her own shots of energy at the creature, when it finally jumped up and away. Vahn layed there and Miharu came running over. Vahn slowly stood up holding his head, "What the hell was that...?" He said. Miharu crouched down next to him, "Are you okay?" Vahn nodded and slowly stood up, still a bit dizzy from hitting his head. Miharu stood up next to him and they both saw a boy approach them. Miharu spotted the tail on the boy, and thought it looked similar to the one on the creature. Vahn noticed this too and spoke up, "What are you?" He asked stepping in front of Miharu so he was between the boy and Miharu, "What do you want with us?" |

"What I did was mearly observation. And I'd ask the same question to you. You look like a Human, but you aren't one. Yet, whatever you are, you seem familiar." Sid was trying to make a connection with these two Non-Humans. Were they another species trying to infest this planet? Or did they just seem familiar because a few Aliens were born from the bodies of their kind? Whatever they were, them being a different species didn't come off well for Sid. He already had to deal with the "Meta-Humans" and their rivals, the Power Men. |

"Observation?!" Vahn shouted angrily, "What you did was not observe! You chased us down and attacked us when we tried to protect ourselves!" Vahn still stood between the boy and Miharu. Miharu leaned sideways and looked at the boy. Was it possible that he went to this school? |

Despite the yelling, Sid stayed solemn and still looked unphased by the man's reaction to his explanation. He looked at the girl who had peeked out from behind her father, then he looked nack at Vahn. "Yes. Observation. It started out as a way to understand this 'relationship' thing, when you became tense and spotted my tail, my instincts kicked in. When you turned harsh and gave chase, my instincts told me to chase." He started to take a few steps toward them. "You may not understand, but my kind is more animalistic and is driven by instinct. You made all the wrong moves in the presence of a predator. But I still had my mind with me, and decided to observe how you fight and attack. My instincts got the best of me and almost made me kill you. You're lucky the girl called out brought me back to my senses." He pointed at Miharu. |

Vahn crossed his arms and looked at the boy, "You need to better control yourself then." He said, "Otherwise it'll get you untill trouble..." If Vahn would've had a sword with him, he would've been able to fight back at the creature a bit more easily. Miharu took a bit of a step to the side of her father and looked at the boy. She tilted you head to one side, "You're from this school...aren't you?" She asked thinking back wondering if she had seen the boy before or not. |

"Instincts are something I cannot control fully. You've lost all connection with yours, that's why you can't fight with what you have naturally." He didn't care what the man said. Sid will remember his face, and make sure he is one of the first victims of the Infestation. He looked at the girl who had come out from behind the man. "Yes. I do attend the institution here." |

"Well, this is a prob-" Vahn started but was cut off by a quick jab from his daughter. He looked down at her and she looked up at him with a serious look on her face. "You heard him," She said to her father, "Instincts aren't something someone can easily control." She then turned back and looked at the boy. She looked at his tail and then back up at his face. She had no idea what he was, but he obviously wasn't human. She wanted to ask what he was, but didn't want to sound rude or anything. |

"Seems the girl has more power over you, instead of the other way around." A smirk came across his face when he said that. It just goes to show, the man was weak if the little girl could tell him what to say and what not to. "And it seems she's got enough brains to realize that." |

"She's my daughter." He said. This was true, even though he looked to be in his twenties, he was really in his fourties. And Miharu looked about thirteen, but was fifteen and would be sixteen soon. It was a trait unique to their race. Vahn continued, "We just love and respect each other. Neither of us have power over the other." |

"What's a daughter?" Vahn repeated after him giving him an odd look. Miharu tilted her head to the side, "You don't know what a daughter is?" Vahn decided he should atleast try and explain it anyway, "She is my child. The next in my family's bloodline..." That was really the best he could do to explain it. He looked a the boy wierd, "What are you?" He asked, "You don't even know what a daughter is?" |

"Well, If I knew what a 'daughter' was, then I wouldn't be asking you; would I?" Sid crossed his arms over his chest and looked directly at both of them. The question of what he was made him defensive. "My species has no concept of that parent-offspring thing you have." |

"That's too bad," Vahn said, a bit annoyed with the boy's first remark, "Must be pretty dull living then." Miharu looked the boy over, "So...it sounds like you aren't from this planet..." She thought for a moment, wondering if she should mention they weren't from earth either. She looked up at her father to see if she should say anything or not. However, she saw him glance at her and shake his head slightly. |

"I can see why you see our situation as dull... He used the word 'our' because he was refering to the Hive as a whole. ... But don't bother trying to tell my brethern, because they don't really care. They are much like these insects you think so lowly of." When he said that, he put a finger on a nearby tree and let a praying mantis crawl onto it. He held it up to his eye level and looked at it. He felt a connection with the insects on this planet, probably because he was so much like them. |

"Um," Miharu watched the bug crawl on the boy's hand, "We never said we think lowly of you." She said watching the boy. She then realized she didn't know the boy's name, "Um, what's your name?" She asked. "I am Miharu, and this is my father Vahn," She said with a polite bow. Even though he had attacked them, and Miharu didn't appreciate that, she could understand that he didn't really mean any harm. Instincts are hard to control. |

"Well, it's nice to meet you Sid." She said with a bright smile. Unlike others, it was hard for Miharu to hold a grudge against someone, so she often forgave people rather quickly. She looked up at her father who just gave a nod to the boy a a greeting. He didn't forgive people as easily as his daughter did. |

"Well, it's nice to meet you Sid." "Quite the same here. But I'll be going now, I'll leave you two alone, for now." He turned around and started to head away from them with his back to them. "But in the future tread carefully, and make better decisions when faced with unworldly predator." With that, he leapt up into the trees and dissappeared among the branches. |
