"So this is the Gym, huh." Jason looked around the expansive gym, its many workout rooms, barbells, machines, tracks, targets, and practice rooms all around him.

He took his sword into his hand and began going through some basic swings, started mixing the swings with footwork, with a parry and thrust, even a few punches and kicks. He'd always been a much bigger fan of guns, but you never knew when a sword might come in handy. Besides, it was much more of a workout than target practice. After thirty or so minutes, he'd completed practice.
But he still wasn't tired yet.

"I wish there was someone here to fence with..." Jason exclaimed, as he heard footsteps behind him.

And those footsteps belonged to one who had trained for a year in the art of the sword; and one who still sought to perfect himself and his arts.

"You wish to spar? Then so be it. I will be your opponent.." the brown haired boy said, stepping closer to his soon-to-be opponent. A katana sheathed at his side, Eli looked the part of the traditional Japanese swordsman. Scars from wounds adorned his face, and his eyes were cold from fighting what seemed to be an eternity for him. He wore some kind of combat robes that he was usually wearing, resembling training clothes worn by the old samurai. Yet, Eli bore no affiliation to the ancient warriors.

Drawing his katana with his left hand, Eli looked at the other boy.
"This will be interesting..I needed a change from all that work." he added, and brought the katana over to his right hand.

Jason turned as he heard the footsteps, sword brandished. Before him was a short boy, dressed in ancient samurai robes, bearing a Katana. He cut a kind of tragic figure, like a toy soldier that's seen many tours of duty and is soon to be discarded, with eyes that looked more haunted than anything. Jason knew those eyes, because he too had them. They were the eyes of a demon hunter. But beyond them, he sensed something more, something dark and loathesome.

"You wish to spar? Then so be it. I will be your opponent.." the newcomer said, striding forward. He drew his katana.

"This will be interesting..I needed a change from all that work." He said, bringing his Katana to a ready position.

"Let's find out just how interesting." Jason said, lunging at his new opponent, testing his defenses. The clanging of metal let him know that the other swordsman was no novice to the art. "Good... very good... let's find out a little more." Their blades clashed as they fenced around the arena, the song of metal crying out across the Gym, a cacaphony of clanging, as they began to fence. The full orchestra of the metal was impressive as the dueling blades struck.

They moved throughout the arena as if performing a dance choreographed by a madman, side stepping, thrusting, and parrying, blade meeting blade, riposte after riposte they glided across the Gym, locked in combat. Jason felt himself growing stronger with each blow, but that only happened when he fought...

Looking at his opponent he could see it now, he could see that he wasn't just a demon hunter, he was a demon himself as well. And as he realized this he felt hatred rise, vitriolic through him. He started to wonder what he would do if he made it past Eli's defenses, but as Eli's blade bore down on him, he stopped thinking and lost himself in the present, in the midst of the fight, battling demons. Where he belonged.

The kid wanted interesting, eh? Jason's sword took on a white aura, crackling with holy energy. He cut hard towards Eli's torso!

"You wish." Eli said before jumping and flipping over Jason's head, all while slipping somehing onto his left hand as he flipped. It was some sort of gauntlet, brazen in colouration and contained four spheres and another four holes along the end of it. It was something he could use to defeat Jason quite easily, if used correctly by someone who had trained their arts.

"So...think you can take the heat?" Eli taunted, and flattened his palm, aimed at Jason. Suddenly, a stream of flame shot forth at Jason. Using this quick distraction, Eli changed two spheres around, knowing that using that sphere would be helpful for himself.

"By the way...I have two assumtions to make. One, you can tell I'm half-demon, and two, you're trying a holy weapon on me? Well...holy weapons have no effect on me." he said, before leaping once more into the fray, executing a set of slashes only the best swordsmen of AHS would have been able to use. Training every day was a necessary part of Eli's life, because he had a few goals in life that would require him to be the best. And this boy, Jason, would have been a thorn in his side if he were fighting the demons of the Makai..

"You wish." the kid said, jumping over Jason and donning strange metalic gloves.

"So, you think you can take the heat?" he heard the kid's mocking voice as flames burst forth from his palm. Jason dived, feeling the intensity of the flame burn at his clothing and singe is skin, as he narrowly evaded being burnt to a crisp.

"By the way...I have two assumtions to make. One, you can tell I'm half-demon, and two, you're trying a holy weapon on me? Well...holy weapons have no effect on me." The kid taunted.

Jason's eyes blurred as the next barrage of attacks came. He had fought demons before, he had fought swordsmen, but this... this was something new altogether. How do you describe the distortion a blade causes when it travels so fast that the world seems to bend around it? You can't.

Jason blocked one blow with his sword, taking a slash across his abdominals, down his left leg, and across his right shoulder. Blood seeped from his wounds as he stared at Eli, brimming with untold rage.

"Holy weapons have no effect on you, huh? We'll see about that." Jason reached his hand down to his knee, unsheathing his dagger, and driving it straight at Eli's knee, while trying to elbow him in the face.

(( I read your profile, says nothing about holy weapon immunity... and holy does damage like fire or ice -- it harms even mortals and "good" beings. ))

((It's not immunity, it's that he has no 'elemental' weakness, as a dark creature would to a holy attack. Sorry if I worded it wrong.))

Eli had two chices, and they both led to being hit. One was to use the gauntlet to block the knife, and then be elbowed in the face; the other was to take the knife blow and cause some severe damage to Jason with a physical counterattack. He decided to take the second option.

A knife meant nothing to him, even if it was to a vital part of the leg. Taking the wound, he knew he could heal in an instant if he wanted to.
Yet, he pushed Jason's elbow aside, and then made to kick his gut. After the kick, Jason would have been doubling over, and then was the time to use an elbow to the neck, to either incapacitate or even knock out his enemy.

Timing would be crucial for the rest of the battle. Eli had to use every move in an instant, not alllowing Jason to use his own attacks as Eli needed to trigger every move he knew to come out victorious.

Seems my opponent is worthy...It's been a while since I had this much fun in a swordfight..

Driving the knife into Eli's knee, Jason felt elation at his momentary triumph -- but when his oppenent didn't go down, he knew he was vulnerable. The pain came fast and sharp in his stomach, matching time with the realization of his poor positioning, he felt himself doubling over. His stomach rebelled against his body, and his eyes blurred in the pain, he left the dagger in -- hoping it would offer a distraction that would allow him to get in a good clean blow.

But for now, he had more immediate problems. Eli's elbow was posed to drop straight to his neck and even as small as the kid was, Jason had learned well that his strength was far beyond his size. The elbow was driving down, nearing contact. Jason rolled away and Eli's elbow smashed into the wood floor... breaking it.

Rolling to his feet, Jason held out his sword out, keeping defensive posture while his stomach stopped reeling.
