Zeth walked on the rain pouring buckets around him his hair flat to his head s he walked. He was thinking, the one thign that proved ever so deadly to his sanity. IT was true he was no where near as bad as some, but none who knew him well could say he was mentally stable after long thought. Looking about he noticed none, just himself and the rain so think you couldn't see 5 feet infront of you. As he looked around he saw the it pour down like row after row of none killing arrows sent on a mission of misery. However within the confines of his own mind he also had thsoe few prescious things that could keep him sane, first there was Shana, secodn there was hsi friends, and third there was himself. He lived for those three reasons and no others. Drawign a single long bladed Katana from it sheath the sound was drowned out by teh sound of water falling from the heavens and pelting all it touched. Silently he walked on feeling nothing at first but slowly he started to feel the sting of the rain taint his skin as it had so many nights before. He was never able to sleep during the storms, never. They had always made him restless even to this day, yet no one could explain why. Perhaps it was part of his subcounscious that these storms unlocked, perhaps not. He may never know and so he figured that is was better left in the dark. Returning to thoughts of the day before he smilled thinking of the day he had spent with Shana, it was a good day. He was actually wearing that outfit now. It suited his dark and somehow unexplained mood. "Why does the rain and the storm make me so restless" he asked himself knowing probably no one else heard. That was probably for the best, as rhetorical questions most often times needed no answer. Moving towards a bench he put his sword in its Sheath and sat down the wet, water swelled wood making contact with his trench coat as he wiped the water from his face only to have it replaced with a new layer. He shook his head water flying off his hair in every direction only ot be plummeted to the earth by the free falling rain. Why was he depressed he had no reason for it, yet he was. Not dwelling on that he leaned bakc and watched the rain covered courtyard from where he sat and wasted no time with anythign else. |

"Questions like that...you must ask yourself..." His voice drifted flatly over to Zeth, hitting him lightly on the ears through the onslaught of the downpour. His back was leaned up against a tree, His dark grey cloak over him. His hood was up, sheilding his head from the heresy of waterdroplets. His eyes glowed dully, bure black at the moment. His eyes hadn't been graced with lightning in days...it was like the lightning within him had died. He had been out there all day...moving from place to place at random. Ever since the deaths of his friends, the loss of his sanity...he was now just a shell of his former self...an emotionless being seeming to have no heart. He knew who Zeth was...but had erased memories of him...as well as almost all his memories. He didn't want the life he had...even Zeth said he wouldn't live to see the age of Seventeen.....and he would make it a point to prove him wrong. The large demon blade at his back had been completely hushed recently...it knew enough not to mess with Fait at the moment. Although he was lost within himself, he was more dangerous than ever. He hadn't fought anything in a while...not since his training with Lucian. He had hated the training and yet longed for it again. He had nearly died...and had been possessed. But now was worse....he was emotionally and mentally dead...a physical death would be better then the maolstrom of emptyness he felt now. |

"I was asking myself Fait" he said slowly. The rain, it took away all his pains, his thoguhts everything, and it replaced them with new ones. He laughed a little and stood up. "Your empty inside...Ang left you...or you left her, however you wish to term it...and none the less you seem worse for the ware. " he his eyes in complete seriousness. Your voice is hollow and toned out, nothing exsists within you, you let the world beat you" Zeth though he was not near the brink Fait was also sounded hollow, yet in a way filled with new emotion. He seemed different and yet all the same. He grinned and placed an arm on Faits shoulder. "I told you you wouldn't live till 17, I just never told you what pat of you would die." he shruged and turned away from fait looking up at the sky and closign his eyes because the sting of rain against them was to much. |

nothing exsists within you Fait stared with utter blankess at his old friend. He thought about the words he had uttered for a moment....something had to live inside him....even if he was hollow. "I exist..within myself...and for me...that is enough.." Rain continued to pelt against his hood. With his sight, he could see the rain...he could count each drop before it hit the ground...he could see past the rain....he could see a mile away if he wanted to...his sight was just that good. He watched as Zeth drew closer to him, wondering what he was going to do. He didn't care what he did...he didn't care period. you let the world beat you "I am not beaten....I've simply taken a break..." He stepped forward slightly after Zeth had dropped his hand from his shoulder. He looked up at the sky, not daring to close his eyes. Water stung at his face like small rocks being launched from the sky, but he didn't care...he was used to pain. He thought about Zeths comment...about being dead. He had figured he was dead...dead on the inside anyway. Without looking back to Zeth, he started to speak again, the whisper of his dead, lifeless tone probably broken by the onslaught of rain. "I may be dead...but I'm still here..." |

"True but their are things worse then Death. Loveless, emotionless exsistence is one of them" he said as he stared into the rain covered sky. He didn't know why, nor did he particularly care at the moment why he was out here, having thsi odd conversation with a boy who was no longer even human. "Things change, the world moves on, and when you take a break, its harder then you think to come back, I hide away in a dark corner for 4 months, lifeless ,emotionless everyday contemplating ending it, but I didn't I stuck it out, I said fuck you life I'm gonna kick your ass." He sighed "And I did, I came back, I said fuck you and now I stand here, a happy person, different in many ways but truly happy. Thats how it always is Fait, the death comes ot you and then you have to fight it off. No matter how sad, alone, gone, dead you feel you can't let death beat you, life knows its winning, hell it knows how to win, and its tryign damn hard...don't let it" again he stoped speaking and closed his eyes then took his blades fro mtheir sheaths and drove them into the moist ground next to him. "I live by those swords, and so one day I must die by them, its what I know, and what you must except. You die by what you lived for" |

"Maybe...I'm not meant to come back.." He continued to look up, rain flowing freely into his eyes and down his shirt. He was completely soaked, having been out here long before Zeth had arrived, but he didn't feel the cold biting at his skin...the feeling ot the rain...he was void of everything except thought...and that was all that was getting him by at the moment, and it was enough. What was the point in living...when you know youre going to die? "You knew he I was...You knew I wasn't a quitter..." Faits gaze shifted slightly when he heard the moving of earth. He shot a dead gaze over to the swords in the ground, examening the hilts. It was a pointless act...but then again...wasn't everything...when your dead? You die by what you lived for "What if you cease living...but you aren't dead..? What then...?" |

"Then you only feel dead. Its a trick of perception, another card in the game of life." he didn't hold all the answers but the ones he did hold had damn well be enough. "Look Fait, your still here physically, and your mentality, your life, the things that drive you on ot live, they'll come back or be replaced by new ones. Don't let past mistkaes kill you, or whats left. I Should know I have been there, that empty shell, but I never talked, I never saw another living soul, never once in four months did I speak." he said and it was true, he had been silent locked away in teh back corner of his room laying there, nothing but his mind and thoughts to keep him. For all intents and purposes he had been dead, but only to the world, then one night he was there playing his guitar and life walked right into his door, it brought him his reward for sticking it out. Maybe that was just the bull shit he told himself, but he was alive, and more so then he ever had been. "Take my advice, go get drunk, find someone, anyone and do whatever it is it will take to bring you back..." |

"Entrapment...." He looked back around at the shadows that came from everywhere. Even if there were clouds out and rain pelting, he could still see shadows. They creeped from the ground, pu his legs, slithering like a snake up his body. He didn't even mind, and didn't notice the small chill that would have passed through his body. His gaze shifted back to Zeth after a few moments, his dull lifeless eyes glowing faintly underneath the soaked hood, creating a watery veil between the two. "Do you truly care If I come back or not...?" He was talking of Zeth's 'advice' he had just been given. He hadn't bothered to remember it...he was not going to try and drink his problems away...he was going to face them. He was not one to take the easy way out...he would have to do whatever it took to be strong...to face his fears...to find courage. THe light in the darkness...the only thing that drove him now. He was lost and without cause...it was like he was broken...shattered...but still served a large role. He would have to come back...to find his place...to see who he was...but not until he faced himself. |

Zeht looked at him "I care, your just to blind to notice, blind to your own thoughts of hatred, stupidity to the point of self blame and despise. You don't feel because you block it out, you think its weakness! GOD DAMN YOU!" he yelled. Fait didn't realize thsi wasn't emotionlessness, this was an emotion, he was afraid of being weak. "Your afriad Fait, afraid of weakness." Zeth drew his swords the dirst washed off them quickly as he re-sheathed them and turned his bakc on Fait. "Your not even Fait anymore, your a ghost of a person I once knew." he said calmly. He hated to admit it but Fait was beyond hope. "There is no light at the end of the tunnel for you, becuase you closed your eyes and are now blind" |

"Fear..?" Fait looked at Zeth's back. The boy was breathing heavily as rain pelted against his hung head. Fait was devoid of emotion...even fear. He only did now what he wanted...nothing more. He found happiness in nothing, nor sorrow. He couldn't comprehend what Zeth was talking about...because he was talking about emotion. "Do not speak of what you do not know..." What happened next was odd. Fait moved with blinding speed around in front of Zeth, his eyes still full black. His hood hung low, the pale glow in his eyes barely visible under the shadow of his cloak. "One who knows nothing can understand nothing..." (BoohYa....classic Kingdom Hearts baby) |

"No Fait your still to slow" he said as Fait was met by the sharpened edge of a crimson glowign sword. "Your not even Fait, your a useless shadow of worhtless darkness that doesn't exsist." the words slipping from his mouth as he pulled his sword back. THings had happened to Fait, but Zeth didn't care somethign had stolen a friend and replaced it with a useless shell of nothingness that was not even real, it was just a fasauge (sp?) to hide what he was really like. "You do fear, your eyes show nothing but you fear, its whats inside" then he turned his back on Fait and started to walk. "I won't waste any more words when you are the one who doesn't understand, you have forsaken human nature, and thus you are no longer human" he said as he walked into the rain once more. Of course he didn't leave the courtyard, no there was still rain and so he was still restless. THis whole time he regreted the fact that his words where true. Falling on deaf ears, yes, but still true. He couldn't help but feel bad for the poor fool he once called Fait. How could Fait understand when HE knew nothing. He had given up and that was sader then any other fate he could think. "There are things worse then death, he has become one of them" |

"Suit yourself...Zeth.." Fait turned around and began to walk away. His head stayed level, the only thing moving were his boots as they stepped into the soft mud of the courtyard. Without turning back, he let more words slip from his mouth. His lips were unseen as was the rest of him now, but he continued to walk. "Perhaps we will meet again..." He continued to walk in the direction of the forest. He was walking...away. He no longer cared for humanity...not even himself. Life hadn't beaten him, but it had shoved him in a corner...and the lightls were slowly dimming out. |

Zeths eyes flashed faintly for a second as he foudn another spot in teh courtyard to rest. The being once known as a human now grew weary of life and so he feared that things life would soon end. As he left behidn the memories of what once was thoughts of what was to be came to him. He thought of why, what could have cuased such things and where they led to. Then thought left him and he sat in the rain alone, not thinking, just sitting. Sometimes later, perhaps just an hour or so before the break of dawn, he walked again the rain gently running down his body and ripping to the ground. As he walked under a light it would show his clothes tight to his skin, his eyes a odd crimson, that covered the inner pupil as if he where possesed by the same energies that made his powers work. His hair flat to his head, as well as his clothes. Drawing his swords the glimmered gently in the moon light and so he practiced his swordsmanship and the form of fighting he had learned to use them in. Slashing, striking, ceaselessly until he was breathing heavier then any other time, and then he stoped. PLacing them back in their sheatsh the faint sound of metal against leather was drowned out by the pouring rain. |
