They had stopped at the bank on the way to the mall. As Sunset sat in the limo as she leaned her head against her older brother's shoulders. Her eyes where closed as she was taking a light nap before their adventure. She wore her priestess robes which where far to baggy for the blonde haired girl. Even as sunset slept, sat rather properly like she had been taught in her miko village. It no longer existed but in her heart, she still liked to believed it did. The Limo stopped outside of the mall and the driver came around to open the door. As he shut his door Sunset picked up her head. The sound had awoken her from her light nap. She stretched her arms and yawned cutely as she made a move to the opening door. As Sunset got out of the Limo the light hit her eyes the blonde miko squinted. She rose a hand to her forehead to try and see past the bright afternoon light. The mall was rather big, three floors it looked like from where she stood. Turning her body around she looked to see if Caleb managed to get out of the car OK. "Where do you want to go first?" She asked in a squeaky tone because she had just woken up. |

The bank had been an interesting trip, indeed. Caleb and Sunset had walked in together, and basically scared the living you know what out of everyone. Let's face it, how many times have you seen a priestess and a being that seemed to glow with white energy walk into where you are? Aside from the questions of: Are we dead, are you messangers of holy beings, and Caleb's personal favorite, Is this God and his girlfriend, everything went as planned. (Caleb had simply answered, 'no, she's my sister to the last question, leaving very confused looks on most of the customers). However, the attendents knew exactly who Caleb was, and they also knew exactly how much he owned. The bank was more than happy to be the holders of the Prometheus fortune, mostly because they also held stock in the company... "Ah, good to see you again sir. What's wrong with your eyes?" One of the tellers in a private area said. After all, the attendents who recognized Caleb had set him and Sunset into a personal room, one that was quite comfortable and outright cool in the dreaded Tokyo summer heat. "Oh, I went blind recently." "oh." Was all the teller managed. "I would like to add Sunset here onto the accounts, and give her full access any funding she may need. The Prometheus Corp jets and helicopters may also be used by her." Caleb said rather matter of factly, but still nice overall. "Ok sir... I've added her under everything- here's your card hon," The teller at that point realized Caleb had two arms, and outright shrieked. "What's wrong?" Caleb leaned forward. "Last time you were in here, you did not have an arm! You also added someone else onto the account, a Dawn Scythexious... remember?" Chaosis again. Even though Caleb had killed him, he was still managing to haunt his older brother indirectly. "Right..." Caleb muttered darkly, "I wasn't feeling quite like myself on that day, would you please remove her?" "Certainly sir." The teller was now obviously beyond confused, but Caleb had a sick feeling in his stomach. Just who was this Dawn, and why had she been playing a part in this? Was this some sort of sick joke? Or was it what Caleb feared, part of a bigger plot? "And as for this, it is prostetic. We created them quite recently..." "Oh, good for you! I'm sure the public will be delighted to hear the Prometheus Corp has evented something like that!" The teller was trying to show her happyness over her confusion, and failing miserbly at doing so. "It will not be out for awhile, this is just a prototype." With that, Caleb and Sunset quickly exited the bank and made like bandits for the limo. Sunset may have fallen asleep, and Caleb was glad for her comfort, but in the meantime, he could not help but be reminded for what Reign had warned him... Caleb, Scythexious always likes to start things off with letting you think that you've won. Maybe you really did kill Christopher, but at the same time, be prepared to find out a much darker truth. Scythexious is evil, cunning, and brilliant, meaning he doesn't show his cards until he knows he holds the jackpot. be careful and stay near your friends this time... ________________________________________ Caleb managed to pull himself out of the limo, but his mind was in another place entirely. It even took him two seconds to process what Sunset had said, which she would instantly know meant his brain was no where near at the moment. "Hmm... Let's go stop by a dress clothes shop, I've been acking to get outof these stupid training robes..." He would have managed to fool her that his brain was back in his head, but Caleb completely missed the door and banged his head into a glass window. |

“ Ok!” Sunset said smiling. She would need more bathing suits any way. She watched Caleb with an anime sweat drop. “ Umm Caleb?” She said just before he walked into a glass window. She under stood Caleb more then any one at this school. She had known him sense she had first come, him being her first friend and now she knew something was wrong. He seemed distracted by something. Walking over she took his one of his hands and rubbed it with hers. A worried look could be detected in her loving purple eyes. “ Caleb? Do you want to talk?” She asked him rather then saying ‘ Is something wrong’. That would sound like she was demanding to talk about whatever was bothering him. This way if he didn’t want to talk it would more easily for him to respond. Sunset was not as stupid as people thought the blonde miko to be. She moved their position so that they where not blocking the door. If there was something Sunset could do for her older brother then she would. She would give him to sun if he asked for it. That’s how much she devoted her self to Caleb. |

Caleb was not so much of a weakling that it actually hurt to walk into the window, but he jump back in shock of doing so, and begin rubbing his forehead in deep embarrassment. This was not the kind of thing he did normally, if ever. What was said at the bank had really dug into him, bad. "I'm fine... just a little shook up..." He followed Sunset's voice over to where he should have been standing in the first place, and immediatly stopped rubbing his head like an idiot. Of course, Sunset knew him all too well, and also knew how to drag just about any tidbit of information out of him. Needless to say, Caleb complied with her wish of talking. "Those things that the teller said at the bank, I've never been so shook up before... Christopher's and Scythexious' plans have always been a simple trap or a head on match up till now, but this is somehow worse. I cannot put my finger on it yet, but this 'Dawn Scythexious' cannot be a good thing. I'm worried that rather then just trying to kill me, Scythe is going for bigger and badder-like taking on the world this time." Caleb stopped himself, suddenly aware that he was being way too serious on a day like today. Both him and Sunset needed to relax, and no matter how much anyone tried to interfere with their lives today, they were not going to give in. The shadows and darkness could come tomorrow, but today needed to be a day where they could both let loose and have fun. |

" Caleb... I am sorry for what you have to go though." Sunset said then gave Caleb a light and reassuring hug. Caleb was too nice of a person to go though this. " If he does try anything I will be there with you Caleb. I will fight by your side. Not only because you are my brother but because I have always wanted to fight along side my mother and father. I know, I know its a fantasy but its just something I want to do. Its funny how the things you desire, some, can never be obtained." Sunset continued walked into the air conditioned building. She held one of Caleb's hands in hers and led him to the moving stairs. Sunset has never been to this part of the mall and looked at them with confusion. "Wow they move!" She said in a rather loud tone and let go of Caleb's hand to walk around them. " What kind of power causes stairs to move." She said in an astonished tone. Sunset had never really been off campus much and spent most of her life in poor villages training. Suddenly Sunset turned to Caleb. " Oh I wanted to tell you something! I found out about my soul. I was meditating and found darkness. A great deal of darkness. But the darkness was balanced by an equally powerful light. Caleb I think the reason why I am a priestess is the same reason why I am a demon. My soul is like Ying and yang. I think my priestess power needs the demonic power to balance its self. That is goes the same for the demon part of me. " She looked into Caleb's eyes with a now serious look. " I posses my older brother's strength but I think I surpass it. You see my soul would burn in hell if there was too much evil in it. It wouldn't be a soul, more like a power of evil and I wouldn't exist. That goes the same for my soul being completely pure. If it where I would purify my self. There for the power I possess in my soul is extremely powerful. " She softly laughed at the next part. " Its just I don't really know how to awaken any of this power so I am still week." She gave him the last of her 411 on her soul. Caleb might have not have noticed it before because of her soul shield witch was also becoming stronger. That also was another point that she would make later on their trip. Her soul shield was the center of all her power. She knew Caleb would be happy to hear the news about her becoming stronger and she felt like he was the only one who actually cared about it. It was like he could see right though her actions so what was the point of hiding anything from him. In a way she was also changing the subject to something more postive. She woul have Caleb get into detail about this later. ( occ. sorry for all the info ^.^" but I added some comic relief to help ^.^) |

"Thanks Sunset, I knew you would... I just needed to get that off my chest." Caleb admitted the last part quite guiltily, he still felt wrong every time he endangered one of his friends by tellling them about his shadows. And he had brought so much danger to all of them. His friends, his family, had also suffered so much for Caleb... and yet they did not mind. To him, it was amazing that they did this, especially after he had failed them so many times. Part of him wanted to burst out in tears over this fact, but to much of him was overjoyed at the fact that he kept getting more chances from those he cared for the greatest. "Yeah, its just automated stairs run by electricity and machines..." He spoke somewhat absently, for his brain was still deep in thought over many feelings and concerns. But then Sunset told him something that Caleb found interesting, if not almost hopeful. If she had learned to combine her demon and priestess power, learned to maintain balance over both chaos and law, then Sunset had grown quite a bit while he had been gone. At the same time though, Caleb already knew that just beause she had grown did not mean she was going to stop needing the support and love from her friends, and her adopted brother. It gave him a sense of pride, to be needed by others... He supposed it was selfish, yet he knew it was a feeling that those of the light felt for eachother everytime they needed support. "I'm glad you've found out so much about your soul, and your strengths Sunset. Trust me, if I could I would be taking notes to learn from what you've told me and then run off to the library and research it, but then again..." I can't do much in the department of research anymore... "We are here to have fun right? Let's go have some!" With that, the blind youth ascended the escalator via running up the wrong side of it. Luckily for Caleb and everyone else, no one was riding it down. That would have been an ugly colission, indeed. The worst part was, he only realized that he was running up the wrong side after he was already atop it. "Uhh, Sunset, come up on this side, as in the one that I didn't take..." He stated with an anime style sweatdrop. "And then you'll have to show me wear the clothes shop is... I just remembered I can't find it if I can't see it..." Granted, he had found the music store before, but that was do to the fact that he could track it's sound around almost the entire mall. Even right now, he still knew almsot exactly where it was. |

" ummm..." She also had an anime sweat drop as he tried to get on the wrong side of the moving steps. "Yes, brother." She responded to his request with a smile and moved quickly to his side. Unlike most girls at this school, Sunset liked being told what to do. She felt special, as if she was needed. For Caleb it was even better. If he said 'jump' she would say 'how high'. It was odd but being told what to do was one thing that made Sunset over joyed. Even it was as simple as helping him up stairs. She took his hand in hers. Then she hugged his arm, bring it to her chest. Leading him up the stairs she moved to the clothing store where she saw Misty and Kairen. They came there a lot, Misty now finding a habit in spending Kairen's money. Kairen was one of the most Richest girls in Japan but was also the meanest. It was understand able though, she had a rough past and was even killed by her lover with along with her unborn child. "Hi!" Sunset said waving to the Winged girl and the living dead girl. Caleb should be able to sense the mutable souls living in her body. Kairen did require the souls of the dead to maintain her body. Still she had 1/2 of her own soul as well. Misty smiled and waved back. " Oh hi Sunset!" She said with the same happy face as Sunset. Despite both of the girl's past they where good friends. Kairen only glared at both of them with her cold gold eyes. Sunset brought Caleb over happily dragging him by his hand now. " Caleb do you remember the mean winged girl that put a neckless around my neck then broke my wrist? Well, that's her. She changed a lot because of her boyfriend so she is no worry. There is a dead girl next to her, she is who we need to watch out for. She is mean but I can tell she is nice. She just hides her self because of...." Sunset stopped because they where too close to talk about the black haired girl and the winged girl without hearing them talk. "Hey Misty have you bought anything yet." Sunset asked already knowing the answer. Misty knew she was weakly trying to bring up small talk smiled. " No I haven't. Hi Caleb. You still look as handsome as ever." Misty said teasingly flirting with him. It was out of play though, the winged girl already had a boyfriend. Kairen only glared at the two getting angrier as the seconds past. Sunset had not paid attention to her presence yet. Sunset realized this and smiled to the black haired girl. " Hi Kairen. You look lovely today." She smiled and bowed in respect to the black haired girl. She knew Kairen only liked people (girls) that where respectful towards her and 'knew' that she was the most powerful. Power is all the black haired girl desired after being awakened from such a traumatic death. "Blondy?! Do you really expect to get on my good side by commenting g on my outfit? Why have you brought a man over here. You know I detest them. They are all unworthy of my presence." Kairen smirked and looked at the cloths rack next to her. Fangs could be seen as she smirked evilly." So is this your pathetic new boyfriend?" "Kairen stop it. See this is why people hate you." Misty cut in trying to reason with the girl. So far Kairen had made two friends. She had met a lot of people and most hated her. But Kairen had no need of friendship or compassion. She only wanted her revenge. "Like I care." She said crossing her arms and turning her back to them. Sunset just smiled back sweetly at both of them, " Its, OK Kairen you don't have to be nice if you don't want to." (occ. I just wanted caleb to meet my new character ^.^ and also be aware that misty is no longer a bitch I can have them go shortly too ^.^ Sorry for the long post @.@) |

(version 7.0 of this post, ready to rock! Honestly, I think the fourth of fifth was the best, but all of those always got deleted before I posted them.) Caleb couldn't detect power levels exactly, two people seemed to stick out of the norm, enough so to the point where Caleb activated his Truth Vision to see who they were. His eyes lit up, glowing white to identify who was approaching. After all, if this was the presence of evil, he would need to defend himself and his sister without further hesitation, instead of remaing there like a blind moron. Only a millisecond passed before a wave of relief crossed over him, for the one girl was the winged priestess, Misty. Although Misty's intentions on helping them save Sunset had originalbly downright disagreeable. Her soul now held its own light, and it shown in its own beautiful way. Sunset and Misty said hello, and then Misty turned to Caleb and complemented him. Of course, since Caleb had already seen her soul, he was expecting something like that. "Your soul radiates beautifully Misty," Caleb gave a formal bow to her, and turned toward the other individual being introduced. She was indeed an oddity, perhaps hauntingly so, because Caleb had once been like her, almost exactly like her. He too had lacked half a soul, he too lacked the ability to feel happyness to feel love. Her insults where heard, but they were let go out of the context that she could not feel the light. "Hate me all you wish, but I will understand you better than any of those standing here. When you question yourself as to how to return back to life, not this half in, half out state you are now, find me and I will help you." His tone was frank, but not hateful. Hatred, even hatred of evil could not repair the parts of the soul that were lost. Kairen would be just as lost as he was, even when Caleb had a full soul he was still originally lost in hatred. Even though at the time he saw it as righteousness, that same righteousness had killed his brother instead of saving him. |

As Caleb spoke Kairen's eyes widened on his comment on her soul. Misty was still blushing on being called beautiful. No one had ever called her that besides her boyfriend. Kairen seemed a bit more interested in Caleb. He spoke noble but still didn't give her the respect she wanted. Men where all pathetic, this one was less pathetic though. Kairen wasn't stupid, unlike the blonde girl standing next to Caleb, and figured he could see of sense souls. " You have the power to see into souls like that stupid blonde girl next to you. (Sunset looked down blushing with an anime sweat drop) If you even knew what I had to go though then we would not be having this conversation. I made the Mistake of trusting a man. I died because of my stupidity and now I learnt that all men, including you, are not worth my time. You can see I have 1/2 a soul but you do not know what happened to cause this. There fore, to make things easier for you....SHUT THE HELL UP YOU STUPID F!@#EN BITCH. " Her hole body tensed as she yelled but it soon loosened up. Kairen never let any one get close to her. Driving him away was the best solution before he tried to tame her. Her drive to live was driven by revenge and anger. She had no reason to feal anything else. Deep down she knew she wanted to become friends with this man but she would never subcome to her human desires. For now she would hate him. Sunset however had Instinctively jumped in front of Caleb as she started to yell. As Kairen was done Sunset put her hand up to her ears and winced at how bad they hurt. |

Caleb merely gazed into her, but his eyes stopped glowing. He wasn't going to use his power on her anymore, he just wanted to talk to her. However, the whole hatred thing was a big pisser, but frankly, he'd dealt with worse. In the meantime, there would be no way for Kairen to miss the fact that Caleb was absolutely positively blind. The correct answer to this was niether going to be tender nor overly harsh, but rather, he was going to put Kairen in her place. "How dare you..." He muttered rather darkly, much darker than he intended. This was brining back painful memories, memories that he originally thought that he would be able to drop, even for a day. "How dare you assume that you are the only one betrayed by a loved one. Do you think it was a nice expirence having half my soul ripped out? Do you think it brought joy to me to awaken blind to this world? Do you dare to presume that you were the only one betrayed by someone you loved?!" Although he was trying keep his voice down, his own pain was rising in his throat. He breathed for a second, pausing to stop himself. This girl deserved his help, not his rage... "Surely you must realize that no matter how alone you try to make yourself, other's are like you in some way. I wasn't betrayed by my lover, I was betrayed by my brother, someone who I loved and thought a demon had destroyed. So yes, we are different, but we are still similar. We both died on the day that our souls were ripped out, both of us have been incapable of feeling emotion like love and happiness for too long..." He once again paused for breath, "But the difference is that you haven't yet openly wanted your soul back. You are so busy basking in your pain, bathing in your hatred, that you failed to notice that you are still alive." A slight smile grew on his face, however it was not one of insult. "So as I said before, when you are finally ready to grow and reclaim that which was taken from you, I will help if you request it." Caleb suddenly realized he had just monolouged, really for quite a long time. He partly blushed and had to restrain from hitting himself over the head. Frankly, he was now angry enough to the point where is Kairen dared to start shouting again, Caleb would enter her soul and force her to share her pain. |

Kairen waited till he was done then smirked. " Bitch you can stop right there." She looked at him though her gold eyes into his blind ones. She could careless about his story and what ever eles he had to say. However she fangs extend so that they where more visible as she spoke again. "Blind? You are alive aren't you boy. My father could careless for me."He was only good for his money. My boyfriend was all I knew thought out my life. He killed me to give my soul to his 'true love'. But he not only killed me." Karin's eyes fumed with anger. She desired more then ever to kill anything. This thought made her powers nearly go out of control. " He killed My....Our baby. Have you ever had a child living in you. I would hope not. " She stopped choking on her words. She thought she was going to throw up from all this torment. She quickly repressed this feeling and her expression went back to cold. " I thought he was going to ask me to marry him. Instead I get a bullet though my head. I wake up years later to be brought to life by some dark priestess. I kill her and now I live with 1/2 my soul in this claw body. I would gladly be blind just so I didn't have to collect souls of the dead to live." Kairen's lips formed a snarl as she now glared at him. " I will never need the help of a man. EVER! I know very well what I have to do. I have plans now to get my revenge and have located the first guy on my to kill list. Once I get what I need I can start the fun." She smiled. Stretching a bit she looked at her watch. She wanted to know what Caleb would say back. His auguring skills where rather impressive. |

Caleb was torn in half. Half of him was more than moderetly tempted to throw Kairen a very very violent gesture and then continue his day like she never existed at all. However, that wasn't who he was at all. Caleb helped people, he defended them, even when they didn't want it, and occasionally when they didn't need it. To stop this conversation here and now would probably only make Kairen hate him more, but then again everything he did would make Kairen hate him more. Although it was a sad perspective, it was also completely true in every way. Caleb couldn't make someone like her see her wrongs unless he shared them with her. "Your right Kairen, I'm not you, I can never be you... but that doesn't solve your situation does it? Will draining your opponents blood upon the sword of your self set justice complete you? Obviously you do, obviously nothing I say is going to change your opinion. What you want is to share your pain and hatred onto all men right?" His eyes narrowed, and then began to glow. "I'll be your first then... if you truly wish to to share your pain, then allow me to become part of the remains of your soul so that I can truly see your pain. It won't make you happy of course, but this way, you won't be alone." Of course the fact that this would probably kill him was left out. The only person here who would possibly remember the danger that Caleb faced when doing something like this was Misty, when he and her fought together to conquer the evil within Sunset. Caleb had mentally attacked the darkness within her, and was damn lucky for not being killed for it. This time, he might not survive... for real. |

Kairen Jumped back as he said this and out of her body flew a fan to her hand. " WTF! I don't need help. I don't need to share anything. Killing the people who wronged me is good enough. I am just going to kill my self after. You forgot. I am already dead." She said then opened up the fan and fanned her self with it. " You also forgot the fact that I hate men. I will never receive help. Not that I need it." Kairen was in her denial stage still. She would Fight Caleb if he attempted anything on her. Surpassingly Kairen did not like the be the first one to start the fight. She liked to be the one to end it though. Kairen wasn't ready to open up to anyone....well James but he ...She stopped her self from thinking any father " I am fine. I don't need you help nor do I care. Burn in hell bitch." With that Kairen walked past Caleb and walked out. " Kairen! Please wait up. He was just trying to help." She said as her voice trailed off. Sunset looked down at the floor sadly. She then randomly Gave her brother a hug. " Caleb I am sorry. Kairen didn't mean any of it. I am so sorry you had to go though that." Sunset was true to her word because she started to cry in his arms. She didn't like hearing about Caleb's past because it hurt her that she wasn't there to save Caleb. She wanted to make everything better so that he could live happily. It was her priestess nature that drove her to feal this way. " I am sorry. Kairen had no right to act that way." She said into his chest as tears still rolled down her face. |

Caleb had nothing to say back to her while Kairen just kept thrashing in her own self pity. He was done with her, until she humbled herself to ask for help, he would simply stand aside and watch. There would have been a time when he would force his help on her, when he would bare her burdens whether she wanted him to or not. It wasn't so much that he did not care, he cared about every soul that he met, but he couldn't stop her. One thing that he was begining to realize was that absolutes could not exist in mortal realms, at least not without direct interference from higher beings. If he just simply helped Kairen no matter what her wishes, then it would not in turn help her at all. Sadly enough, Caleb was beginning to realize that not all souls could be saved, or at least not by him. Sunset buried herself in him, which was slightly ackward for Caleb as being he was too deep in thought to realize that anyone was near him, until she was already hugging him and crying. Caleb smiled and returned the hug, softly patting her on the back. "Well, she sort of does have a right to have those feelings... if I can remember correctly, that was about the sum of what I spent doing while I had half a soul, but everyone was okay with that because I spoke of killing a demon. Her and I both have monsters, so in a way that she will not admitt, we understand eachother." He smiled a little broader, and forced Sunset to look at him by softly lifting her chin. "Let's go have that day we were thinking of..." |

Sunset blushed as Caleb forced her to look into his eyes. Sunset had always had problems looking at people directly into there eyes and she quickly avoided eye contact. She felt a loving feeling for Caleb after he had helped her feal better. She smiled and warped hey eyes pulling away for the moment. " OK lets go." She said and took him by the hand into a woman's lingerie store. Sunset didn't often think things though well enough and walked him right up to the lacy thongs section. The sales ladies where giving them dirty looks but didn't wasn't noting. She had a question for Caleb. " Hey caleb? What was your father like when you where growing up?" She asked this question setting her self up for her true question she wanted to ask him. (occ. sorry crapy post) |
