Reaching the residential part of Domino town, Zariel thought to herself remembering if the instructions she had given Jerum where good enough to find the little restaurant that she had told him to meet her at. It was starting to get a little dark now which was nice because Zariel thought to herself that it would hopefully make it so that people paid less attention to her and her large black angel wings. Walking down the road that lead to the place Zariel had told Jerum of. She looked over herself making sure she hadn't forgotten anything at her dorm when she had to change her clothes because they had gotten dirty from training early today. Unlike her usual look Zariel had changed her hair this time. She now had her hair tied up in a long ponytail that moved from side to side a little below her knees as she walked she also had a strand of her that went down the front right side of her face and stopped a little under her waist. For clothes she had on a dress like normal but this one was a nice smooth red dress with long silk red gloves. Zariel had finally reached the restaurant, when she had entered it like usual everyone started to stare at her and whisper between themselves. Walking up to the counter looked at the woman who helped people to seats as she looked at Zariel strangely. " Uhmm.... can I get a place to seat two," Zariel asked softly. Not answer the person walked off motioning Zariel to follow. As the walked to a table off in the corner with two seats, Zariel looked around at the buffet as the past it was full of a bunch of yummy things that where made from all-round the world. Once seated the woman had rushed off back to the counter, looking around she had noticed that people still gave her glances of disapproval. Moving her wings in closer some Zariel looked at her hands that she placed on the table and decided to wait for Jerum before getting something to eat. |

Not long after, Jerum did, indeed, show up. It had taken him a little longer, since he had to be sure he was going the right way, as per her instructions. Jerum had left his hair to flow free, straight, and down to the bottom of his shoulder blades. He had donned a pair of reflective sunglasses, so his odd eye wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. A slick shirt, looking to be made of silk or some equally soft material, adorned his torso. Black pants, loose but fitting well to his form, lapped over his boots, which he had cleaned up to a shine. Over it all, he had thrown his long coat. Even on the hottest days, he wore it. Something from his old planet, where it was always warmer than this one, even in winter. Black gloves covered his hands, and he laid one on the counter, looking around. In a few seconds, he spotted Zariel, and he smiled, waving. Without waiting, he moved over to her. 'Well,' he told her, 'I made it alright...I hope I haven't kept you too long.' He removed his gloves, placing them into his coat, which he also removed. |

"No, not at all," Zariel said to answer Jerum's question as she looked up and greeted him with a smile. " I just got here my self a little while ago so I didn't have to wait long any was," she said taking a glance around to see that the waiter was coming with menus. As the waiter came up to the two he gave them a quick stare before talking. " would you two like to look at the menu, or would you just want to eat from the buffet tonight," he said holding out to menus with his hand. "I would like to eat from the buffet..... it is one of those all you can eat buffet things right," Zariel ask the man with a smile. After telling her that it was the waiters looked over to Jerum to see what he would like. |

Jerum nodded, glad he hadn't kept her waiting for too long. When the waiter came, Jerum's lips thinned slightly at the stare. 'Yes,' he told the man, 'The same for me.' Once the man was gone, Jerum snorted slightly. 'Reguarded as freaks, when we should be praised as heroes. That's how it went back home. If you had talents like yours, or mine, they put you into a position of command. Here, they antagonize you.' He rose, offering her his hand. |

Taking Jerum's hand Zariel got up, " Don't worry Jerum, if it's any better I think your a hero, " Zariel said with a smile as she made her way over to the buffet. Looking down the lines of food that where put out for people, Zariel looked over at Jerum with a smile, before grabbing a plate. " I'm so, hungry, " she said speed walking down one of the lanes of food unable to choose what she wanted to eat first. Not paying attention to what she was doing Zariel turned at where there was turkey that she wanted to eat since that was her favorite food. As she started to put piece after piece of it one her plate she didn't realize that some of her feather's from her wings where hanging in the food that was set out behind her. |

Jerum watched her go off, before looking down at the foods set before him. Of the meats, most of the animals in his time were extinct. Turkey, pig, chicken, salmon. He had no idea what any of them tasted like. In the end, he decided to have what Zariel was eating. He had just started forward, when he noticed her wings getting into some of the food. Quietly, he came along behind, trying to get her feathers out, but not disturb her. At the same time, he produced a cotton cloth, as big as his hand, from his pocket, wiping at what had gotton onto her. |

After grabbing many pieces of sliced turkey, Zariel turned around with a large smile on her face, " Jerum, are you going to have Turkey, it's yummy," she said as she rushed off to get some other stuff. "Ohh.... you have to try these potato stuff, and some of these green thingies," Zariel said not really knowing the names of the things she grab since she had only been her for a short while. After putting on a large helping of mashed potatoes and some steamed broccoli. Zariel's plate was started to become over flowed with food. which didn't really matter to her since she was a demon which meant that she could eat a very large amount of food and gain little to no weight. Looking back over at Jerum, " So have you decided what your going to get," Zariel said with a small smile on her face. |

As she moved off, Jerum quickly replaced the cloth within his pocket, and helped himself to some of the turkey. "I'll try it all, perhaps," he told her, giving a bit of a wicked grin. Jerum was an old campaigner, and could pack away the food. He grabbed a bit of everything she told him to, and a couple that looked...different, to say the least. "Do you need a hand?" he asked, looking from her overflowing plate, up to her. "Your plate seems all used up. You can always go back...I won't eat it all." |

" No, that's alright you don't need to trouble yourself over me," Zariel said with a smile to answer Jerum's question. After watching him finish grabbing everything he wanted Zariel hurried back to her table putting the food down. Running back over to the buffet again she grabbed a handful of utensils that she thought she might need before she made her way back to where she put her food. Sitting down again she looked up and over at Jerum and decided to wait in till he was sitting down before she ate. |

Jerum finished up his own plate, by grabbing a roll. Coming back, he took his time, seeing Zariel hury back for utensils. Sitting, he looked to her for a moment. "Go ahead," he told her. Jerum, though, didn't eat just yet. He clasped his hands together, and bowed his head, obviously praying. |

Taking a quick glance at what Jerum had grabbed, Zariel started to nibble on her lower lip almost unable to contain herself, showing one of her small pearl white fangs. Looking up at what Jerum, Zariel tilted her head a little puzzled at what he was doing. " Why are you doing that," Zariel asked Jerum not know what praying was. Grabbing a small peice of broccolo Zariel plopped it in her mouth, before looking back up at Jerum quick. |

Jerum was silent a few more moments, before he finished. He brought his left hand to his heart, then to his lips, then opened his eyes. "Giving thanks for what I've got," Jerum told her. "I don't know...if you believe in a god, or gods, or anything. Where I come from, we all do. We give thanks to the Immortal Emperor. Without him, we wouldn't be where we are...in my time, anyhow." He grinned, not sure of how to explain it. Instead, he took his fork, which seemed very small in his hand, and skewered a piece of broccoli with it. |

Shovelling food into her mouth as Jerum spoke, Zariel thought a little about what Jerum said as she swallowed the food in her mouth. "That sounds, interesting... Immortal Emperor... sounds like he is a amazing person, " Zariel said as she put some more turkey in her mouth and began to chew. |

"Very much so. The most powerful psychic mankind has...or will have...ever known. He lives now inside the golden throne, his body dshattered in a battle with his own son." He shook his head sadly, taking in a mouthful of turkey and potatoes. "A sad day that was." He shook his head. "But that is here nor there is it, Zariel? I speak of things to come, while I waste my time not thinking of the beautiful woman before me." |

As Zariel's face turned red because of Jerum's comment. She looked down at her plate where she moved around one of her pieces of broccoli. "You don't have to say I'm pretty and besides I think your stories are interesting," Zariel said to Jerum then putting the piece of broccoli into her mouth. Giving Jerum a quick glance before looking back down at her plate. |

"I find it nesecarry," he said to her, smiling a little. "Such a rare flower, should not be ignored as much as you seem to have been, Zariel." He made to get more of the food on his plate, but bent the top of the fork. "For the sake of..." He set it down, looking disgruntled. "Happens all the time it seems." Weather he meant the fork, or her, it couldn't be told. |

Giving Jerum a smile because of his kind words. Zariel put some more turkey in her mouth as she watched Jerum bend his fork. After swallowing the food she smiled at him again. "It's not every time you see someone bend the fork like that," she said to him smiling. "And don't worry I might get ignored a lot by people but I have gotten used to it," she add. |

"I'll never ignore you," Jerum told her, trying to straighten the fork. "You mean a lot to me, Zariel. He kept his eyes downward, not certain exactly what her reaction would be. At last, he got the fork back into some sembelence of what it had once been, and returned to his meal, playing with the food, stirring it around on the plate. |

"Don't worry, that's why I like being around you is because you don't ignore me," Zariel said to Jerum with a smile as she looked down at her half eaten dinner. Rummaging around her plate in search of more turkey. She came found a small piece hiding in the potatoes as she put it into her mouth and began chewing. |

"I'm glad you enjoy having me around...I can easily say it's a pleasure to have you around." Jerum looked down, surpried to see all his own first plate consumed. "Erm...would you like some more, too, while I'm up?" he asked her, pushing his chair back. |

Putting some more food in her mouth as she watched Jerum, get up she quickly swallowed what she had in her mouth as he asked her if she would like more. Looking down at her plate which was getting empty. Zariel looked back up to Jerum, "Yes, please that would be nice, as long as it's not any trouble," Zariel said to Jerum holding her plate up for him. |

"Hardly a problem at all," he told her, grinning slightly. With causla grace, he whisked her plate away, filling it with some of the things from before, along with other, new things he thought she would like. He got himself new things, too. Some white blocks called 'tofu', chicken, and a sort of pasta with vegetables in it. "There we go," he murmered, setting her plate back down in front of her. |

Watching Jerum as he took his plate away, to get her some more food to eat. She watched as he put put assorteted things on it. Not able to make out what he had actually put on her plate. Zariel wondered what it was, but she assumed that Jerum know what was good and what was not, so she didn't really care much for it. As Jerum had returned and gave her plate back stacked with food some she knew some she didn't, Zariel thanked him as she picked up her fork. Picking around her plate sorting the food into piles, she played around in the food she wasn't familary with. Looking back up at Jerum she gave him a smile, as she noticed the strtange foood on his plate. |

"So many strange foods," Jerum rumbled. He was poking at a purple mass of food with his fork. "The sign told me this is...eggplant...I've seen eggs, but they're never purple...or squishy..." With a frown, he took a spoonfull of the stuff. "The last thing I ate that was purple made me purple for a week and a half. I was the laughing stock of the Chapter." |
