"You've been pre-selected! Click here and you're a winner! Click here and you're a winner! " Shouts like this could heard coming from down the hall, coming from the usually overly calm and quiet NanoColony that was NavV. Normally, NavV was not all that outspoken or energetic or so full of emotion, usually he was just cool and stoic. But now he was jumping all around with happy, hyperactive, and slightly pychotic look on his face. Not to mention he would not just follow people who came near him for a few yards saying such things, he would occasionally grab one and shake them. At that point, the person would hit him or whatnot and he would be knocked to the ground. Only immidietly get back up and bother other people. He had become the literal personification of the infamous Internet pop-up. "Are you feeling lonely? Well look no further! Find local hotties, who are just waiting to meet someone! Click here!" |

*Daisuke had been walking through the hallway, trying to get to his locker; he had forgotten to take his books out of the locker so that he could study them in his dorm -- he had not received as good a grade as he had hoped for (he received a B for the class), so he needed to study harder so that he could reach the ridiculously high goal he had once again set for himself of being #1 at everything, including school. He was already in a bad mood; earlier that day his computer had a major spyware problem, causing a seemingly endless sea of pop-ups, making it almost impossible to use his computer. Luckily, he had managed to install a pop-up killer on his computer, but the whole situation still made him a bit angry. Little did he know that his pop-up troubles weren't over yet as NavV runs up to him and shaking him, shouting:*
(OOC- If it's okay with you I'll use that one, just to make it awkward for Daisuke.) *Daisuke, without thinking, pushes him off and says:* DAISUKE: I have a man already; what would I need to click you for ?! *He then realised what he had said; he blushes a little bit and thinks to himself, "Daisuke, you stupid ass! Do you want everyone in the whole school to treat you like garbage ?!" He stammers a bit.* DAISUKE: Uh ... I mean ... what I meant to say was ... what the hell is up with you? |

NavV was knocked easily to the ground and landed flat on his back. For a moment he was still, then he stiffly sat up, much like one of those zombies from an old horror movie. Looking straight back up at Daisuke, whatever had taken over his system "locked on" to him as a potential target, now that he had had acknowledged the ad. Hopping quickly back up onto his feet, NavV completely ignored the boy's question and walked up to him. Placing both of his hands on Daisuke's shoulders, he stood quiet and still for a second or two. Now that he was this close to his "target", Daisuke could have spotted why NavV was acting so out of character. Sticking out from the back of his neck, angled slightly to the side, was a small portable USB drive; one of those little devices that can serve as extra memory for laptops. Why it was there, NavV knew, but he could not say why because his system had been overrun by the pop-up virus or whatever it was. After the few seconds of quiet stillness, NavV began to shake Daisuke by the shoulders like he was trying to vibrate the boy's organs loose. "You're our 198,038th vistor!!! Claim your prize now!!!" |

*Daisuke can't figure out how to stop this guy from shaking him and acting like he's an Internet pop-up ad, but he knows that he's gotta do something fast; it's starting to get a bit painful. Then, he notices that there's something sticking out of his neck. Daisuke can't tell at first that the guy who's shaking him is a robot, so he assumes that someone impaled him with something, and that something has some sort of drugs in it that are making him act all strange. He struggles and eventually pulls it out. He looks at it and sees that it is a USB drive and that there was actually what appeared to be a port in his neck. This means that either this guy is some sort of robot or he had some sort of terrible misfortune in the computer lab.* DAISUKE: What's this thing doing in your neck? |

As soon as that little device was pulled out of NavV's neck, he froze-up completely for a few moments. The slot that the device was inserted into closed up in a matter of seconds. After the few moments stillness, NavV seemed to come back online and in control of his body. He blinked a few times to get a bearing on where he was, then looked at Daisuke. Seeing his hands on him, he lifted them off. "Sorry...... For whatever I was doing." He had returned to being his quieter and cooler self. The expressions on his face had faded into a more blank and stoic look. Remembering what had happened before this, before he was overrun by a virus or whatever, he rubbed the spot where the USB device had been. He wondered where it went when he did not feel it, then saw that Daisuke was holding it. DAISUKE: What's this thing doing in your neck? "I don't know. I was disconnecting from a computer back in the Lab, then next thing I know, I'm here." What had happened was that some "prankster" had done his research about NavV. He somehow knew that NavV required a USB cord to connect to a computer, and the slot would open up just before inserting it and would stay open for a few moments after removing it. So when NavV disconnected himself, the prankster quietly and swiftly jammed that device into the slot. The device held a virus of some kind that made him act that way. |

*Upon pulling the USB stick out and seeing NavV shut down, it took him a few seconds to realise that NavV was robotic and that he didn't kill NavV by pulling it out; in those few seconds, he panicked and started thinking of ways to explain the situation away. Then, NavV booted back up and explained the situation. That's the first time that Daisuke had heard of someone hooking up to the computer. This intrigued him somewhat.* DAISUKE: You mean you can plug into computers and stuff? That's pretty cool! |

DAISUKE: You mean you can plug into computers and stuff? That's pretty cool! "Yes, I can." To him, it was not all that "cool" or interesting that he can jack-in to computers. Then again, not a lot of things piqued his interest because of his extensive academic knowledge. Little things about Humans and what they do, however, he finds very interesting. Something like how Daisuke was acting right now. Why was he so excited after hearing that NavV can connect to computers? "But why is it, as you say, 'cool'?" |

*He had never thought about why he thought some things were "cool" before. Usually, he knew that he was interested in it, and sometimes he knew why, but he usually couldn't trace that "why" back to the very beginning and what specifically made what he considered cool actually "cool." Of course, he had not met anyone who was part or full machine before, so he never really had any reason to think about it. However, he does his best to come up with a good answer.* DAISUKE: Well, I've never met anyone who could do that before, and it seems interesting. |

"Well, I guess it would be expected that you've never met something like me before..." NavV archived that in his databanks; that people were often interested or had their curiosity piqued when they have met something they have not seen before. Sure, it seems quite obvious, but NavV was not the person to "get" the most obvious quirks of Humans. Then he remembered that he had not received this person's name. It was no use for him to go on talking to him if he had no name to call him by. "Oh, what is your name by the way?" |

*Daisuke realises that he had not introduced himself. He had been talking all that time and had been intrigued by the fact that there was someone walking around with a USB drive connected to them, but he had forgotten to tell him his name.* DAISUKE: I'm Daisuke. You are? |
