((Finally got a chance to do with this what I wanted to the other day. Just gotta love it when people pester you... -_-)) The sun, barely peeking out from behind the planet, reflected off the metal of an oval capsule as it began it's decent through the atmosphere. The capsule fell towards the planet, flames heating the once cold shell. Inside the computer bleeped into action as strange words flashed across a screen. Outer haul over-heating. Initiating inner cooling system. Adjusting direction cordinates by K32.1. Adjusters on the sides of the capluse extended out, looking strangly like quarters of ovals. They adjusted the direction slightly, the flames licking the outer haul with less enthusiasm. The computer beeped once again, issuing more commands to the life-pod. Running diagnostic on landing gears. Scanning possible landing sites... Scanning error. Landing gears in working order. Preparing landing procedures. The capsule seemed to open up, the grey outer shell moving into position on the sides to form wings. The four of eight adjusters shift to catch the wind and slow down the capsule while the others make corrections to directions. It approached the mountain in an alarming manor, unknown to the computer, and it crashing into the top of a cliff, barely making it over the top. It skids to a halt, mostly thanks the wings and adjusters, which dug into the ground. Scanning life-pod... Outer haul damaged. Ejecting outer haul... Complete. Scanning inhabitant vitals... A-OK. Initiating awaking procedures... Inhabitant awaking. Scanning outer atmosphere... Breathable. Opening life-pod hatch. The inhabitant of the capsule sat up and stretched sleepily as the pod opened itself up, eyes half closed. The inhabitant, seeming a young teenage girl with pink hair, yawns and rubs her eyes and finally reveals red eyes. She looks around the pod, spotting a compartment marked 'Clothes'. She stretches some more to wake up and shifts the plain white robe out of her way to go through the compartment. They only seem to be the same kind of clothing--uniforms. She sighs, holding up different ones to see which will fit her best. After finding one, she types in a command for the computer to scan what planet she was on. The girl frowned at the computer dashboard, speaking a language not known on Earth and changing from a robe to a uniform, "Oh! What do you mean the senors are damaged?" She tapped a finger against her chin, looking up towards the lightening morning sky and tossed the robe to the side. "Mhmm, well," she typed in a question, asking the computer if it had picked anything up before the descent. It came up negative. 'What do you expect from something Selera built..?' she thought, amused. The girl sighs heavily and opens an compartment for clothes again, shoving the robe and other uniforms away. She closes the compartment and turned back to the computer and checks the route the pod took from Cilrac, "I see... From Cilrac space rip 3T2 to 91H7, then H62 to 3MG4. Wait... Looks like some radiation was picked up at 3MG4, that must of fried those sensors." She pauses, looking around the area, taking in the mountain and 'skid mark' the pod left along the ground, dumbfounded as what to do. |

Not too far away, Aeran watched the capsul as it fell. He was too close. Only, at the last moment, did he think to move aside. Stumbling and coughing, the half elf covered his mouth with his sleeve. Once the dust had settled, and he had gotten the grit from his eyes, he moved forward, silently, to see what on Earth this was... He was surprised, therefore, to see a very advanced ship, opening up, and revealing a young woman inside. The pod looked similar to those that many Elves had used to leave the world, but it was smaller. 'Perhaps some similar species,' he mused, coming forward slowly. Then, the bit of wind brought a lungful of dirt into his lungs, and he hacked violently, doubling over. |

The girl looked over in the direction of the coughing, surpised she hadn't seen anyone until now. She assumed it was the dust still in the air and Crysis hurried out of the pod and walked towards the person doubled over from coughing and hacking. She didn't even bother saying anything, not knowing what language was spoken here or even if she knew it. Nearing the figure she stopped short a few feet, turning slightly cautious, who knew what this being was like? |

Taking his first real exploration trip around campus, Yuki saw the massive silhouette from the gardens where he met his first real friend on campus. He had just regained use of his legs since the incident with Chrono in the gravity chambers (still being role-played out) and figured such a massive mountain was probably no problem to one who was as powerful as him, Yuki decided to see how he measured up. First, he didn't realize the trek to the mountain was a pain enough in it self, but at least he could always tell he was going the right way. After reaching the mountains base, the rocky soil looked tough. He had read enough manga where someone slips on loose soil and fell to their doom, but they were normal people. He was gifted recently with a new born confidence in his abilities and took off towards the rocks, jumping from one to the next, his chains jingling wildly. He was about one third of the way up when he found a small plateau. The white-haired cyborg needed a small rest after all the climbing so he sat himself down took a breather. This height really did cool the air off and that was far more than welcome in this heat and clothing. Over the course of his life, he had found out more and more that it was much warmer in black clothing. He started back up, this time getting a little passed half way when he lost his footing. He pulled himself back with nothing more than a sigh of relief when most of the mountain shook. He fell backwards and one of his chains was caught on a branch/surfaced root on the way down. Squirming his way to the limbs base, he grabbed a rock and pulled himself free accompanied by a great deal of profanities. Curiosity had always been a weak spot for him and he had to find whatever caused that blast. Short coming in patience in the matter, he kicked up wards and landed with a smaller thud and pulled himself on to a large cliff. Then he saw something odd right in front of him. It looked like something from DBZ had grown limbs and landed on Earth. He saw two figures through a small cloud of dust and his curiosity was peaked. Knowing both of them could easily be as strong as his last sparring partner, if not more so, he didn't want to anger them. Having come to this conclusion, he brushed himself off and approached slowly. And offered a greeting before his tongue caught up with him. "Ummmm, hello... Are either of you hurt?" |

Aeran stood there, hacking for a few more moments. Finally, though, he managed to catch his breath. Wiping tears from his eyes, he looked up to the young woman. 'Who...what, are you?' he asked her. Half heartedly, he hoped her to be some contact of the Elves who had left the world. Then, another voice. He turned, his brows detracted in a frown. |

Crysis didn't say anything right away, running the words through her mind to distinguish what language he was speaking. She turned to the new comer, his words helping in picking the right language and translating what they had said. She studied Aeran first, carefully taking in his appearance with interest as she answered his question, slowly picking out the right words, "I am an Atlantean." She then turned towards Yuki, studying him just as carefully. It certainly wasn't easy telling what planet this was by their appearaces, but she figured it'd be easier just asking. Picking out the words slowly, "I am not hurt. Humm... What world is this?" She looks between the two, hopeful. |

Yuki looked at the two of them, rather shocked, though this was becoming a daily occurrence here at AHS. At least they weren't hurt, but... What world is this? 'What madness is this?' was a better question in his mind. He had heard conspiracy theories and such, believing some of them as he had witnessed one of them... But aliens? Well, maybe he was jumping to conclusions. She could just be someone who goes from dimension to dimension instead of planet... He took another glance at her ship and ruled that out. "I'm not sure how much this information could help as you probably have thing's named different than we do, but we call this planet Earth." This changed things for him. Now, not only were there people like he had read about in manga, but aliens as well? This led a lot of questions in his mind that would probably fuel his insomnia for weeks to come. Wishing he hadn't been so adventurous today, Yuki grimaced over how unbelievably wrong his science classes back home were. "May I ask what world you are from?" |

Crysis felt Yuki's mood change and wondering if she had insulted him by getting her words wrong. She smiled at him uneasily and decided to choose her words more carefully, "I am sorry if I mixed the words. I am from... Cilrac." She looked around the mountain and at the other two thinking to herself, So this is Earth? It doesn't seem the same as in the books. "My name is Crysis," she smiles at them and makes a fist, touching a knuckle to the side of her forehead, "Good to meet you." |

Good to meet you too.... My name is Yuki. Came a random polite response from Yuki. He saw little point in bowing, though he did it anyway. He half wondered if a bow would register as a gesture of respect to her. This thought slowly slid out of his mind replaced by countless other questions. The first one was aimed at something she said earlier, but had just now registered. 'Atlantean?' He thought with a surprise. He wondered if this had anything to do with fabled continent here on Earth. They had supposedly had flight before they sank, according to myth. Maybe they had things more advanced than us today. Even enough to go to another planet or something.... Breaking with his conspiracy theories, he began questioning how far away her planet was and how things worked there. He also began wondering if her civilization was advanced enough to reach here, if it knew enough about other fields of science to fix him. The only place he had heard of on Earth he really didn't want to go back to. Things done to him against his will was not something he liked to have happen again (minds out of the gutter). But all of his questions would have to start coming out more slowly, as he didn't want to make a bad impression and make all Earthlings seem as weird as him. "You said you were an Atlantean? Would that have any connection to a legend here on Earth of a continent called Atlantis?" |

Crysis didn't know a few of the words he had said, but she tried to make sense of it, thinking she had an idea, "Yes, I am a... child of Atlantis. At one time we were known by another race name, but after Atlantis sunk under the water Atlanteans were... left on their own." She hesitated, wondering if she should say more, then figured it didn't matter, "Some stayed here, others were made... to serve on other worlds." She clasps her hands behind her back, "Is that what you wanted to know, Yuki?" |

Rather amazed, Yuki looked at her questioningly. That true, he had so much more he wanted to know based on that little minute bit of knowledge he had just gained. There were so many things that he had always passed off as legend that he just really wasn't so sure about anymore... He questioned for a moment if Yuki-Onna actually existed before snapping himself back to reality. How rude of him to have not considered it! Anyone to go through such means to get here obviously would have to have some at least semi important reason and he thought it rather unorthodox of himself to have not offered his assistance sooner. "Oh, please excuse me for not offering sooner, but do you need any help while you're here?" |

Crysis translated his words as best she could and hoped it wouldn't take long to get use to the language. She was relieved that he had offered to help her, she felt lost and unsure what to do and it was fortunate to have help. It was a short while before she said anything, trying to find the right words from her limited choice, "I thank you for helping. Is there..." She scrunched up her nose in embarrassment, trying to continue, "Is there a place... Eat... Short stay?" ((e.e Sorry took so long, computer got wiped out...)) |

Yuki was rather curious why it was always taking her so long to reply. Atlanteans were from Earth originally, right? But then he though about how many languages were present on earth, it would make sense. Yuki remembered when he first learned Japanese, how much trouble he had speaking it. Of course, he had tons of untranslated anime on his computer to practice on, but that was beside the point as Crysis seemed to have had a little less experience with it. But as to her question, Yuki was unsure. Sure he had a spare bed in his dorm, but odds are that would just make them both feel awkward. "Well, there are hotels in Tokyo and as for food, their are plenty of restaurants there as well. I could show you there. and put you up for a night or two, but I'm not exactly a fountain of cash" Though the latter was sort of a lie as he had a lot of money for his age, he wasn't about to let the future of his anime/manga collection's growth all be spent on other people. He wasn't quite that considerate. But then again, most people where he came from likely wouldn't help a total stranger unless they had something to gain from it. |

This was miserable, very miserable. She understood some of the words he had said, but she had no idea what hotels, Tokyo, restaurants, or fountain of cash was. It could of been worse, such as not understanding at all, but atleast she knew some. She smiled somewhat(( ^_^; )), not really understanding, "I am sorry, I do not get it..." |

Yuki thought for a moment... not knowing what part of what he said to explain to her. "Well a..." He started, but had no idea where to go with it. He continued slower.. "Ummm... Well, what part don't you understand?" Was it his wording perhaps? He wasn't talking in circles like normal, so he doubted it, but still... Or maybe she only knew a little bit of the language.. (sorry about late reply, I forgot to check this thread. *repeated apologies* Sorry about size too....) |
