Quin had her fishing pole, and bait and such all ready up on the roof. She picked a bench, and sat in it backwards, knees propping her up. Taking her fishing pole, she lowered the line just above the main entrance of the school and snickered. This was her most favorite part of her off time in school.

She waited until someone with a pack on their back, or a nice hat, or perhaps even a trinket in their hand came along. Then, she would hook onto the backpacks handle, or the caps back, and pry it off them. The look on their faces were classic, as she couldn't help laughing out loud.

When someone looked around to see where the line was coming from, she would simply hide the hook in the grass, the line clear as water. Too clear for anyone with average eyes to see. Of course, if someone had info-red eye powers too, perhaps it would be a problem.

But Harlequin was pretty sure it was already air tempered by now.

Minoru had been relaxing elsewhere on the roof, being a user of the earth and having himself linked to it though his powers, it was nice to be off the ground once in a while. He was enjoying himself untill he noticed a familiar face on the roof with him and grimaced. It couldn't be her, could it? He peeked around and saw it was, the same crazy girl from the courtyard, what rotten luck he had.

He stood up and walked over to her, he figured he could start with and appology, but then he saw the fishing pole in her hand and he had gotten somewhat mad that she would try and steal from other people. If that was one thing he detested, its was someone who would take hard earned things from others. He pulled a stone from his pocket and reshaped it to a razor sharp blade, throwing it toward the fishing line.

"You know, I had come over here thinking I could appologize for the whole incident at the courtyard, but here I find you trying to steal from people. If there is one thing I dont like its a theif. So here, Im sorry about being so mean to you at the courtyard, but I've had bad expereinces with people who thought they could just take things. So no more of it, or I will have a large problem with you."

Quin gasped when he fishing line was cut, turning around about to look for the culprit. She quirked a brow, looking to the man from before. Listening to his words, she sighed, rolling her eyes out of his sight and turning back towards him, dropping the fishing pole so it either smashed onto the ground below, or hit someone in the head. Listening, or rather pretending to listen to his words, she shrugged. For some reason, you would find she had gloves on. Looking up at the boy after he spoke, she made a pouty face, holding back her urge to blast back at him after he apologized.

"You are right. I'll stop.", she muttered through half gritted teeth.

Harlequin leaned back against the rooftop ledge, watching him in silence for several long moments.

"Apology accepted."

"Wow, somehow I didnt think that it would be that easy. I guess you can be civil. Anyway, I never caught your name, I'm Minoru."

He kept his distance away from her, he still fealt a bit of anger of hers directed toward at him. He kept his hand in his pocket where he housed a few rocks, his weapon of choice. Minoru kept smileing at the stranger, trying to be polite, but somehow he didnt think she was going to just spontaniously be nice to him like that.

"And why the hell were you fishing for peoples stuff like that?"

Harlequin quirked a brow, looking him up and down and holding out a hand.

"I am Harlequin.... Jariette.", she merely said. Afterwards she paused and broek the silence again.

"You don't need to know.", she muttered, throwing the objects over the side so the people gathering around the supposed evidence could get their items back.

"No... No reason."

"Your just doing it because you like shiny things then?"

He said jokeingly, with a smirk on his face. He teased again as he started closer to the girl untill they were a decent speaking distance away from eachother instaed of the ammount of room he gave himself if she tried to attack him again like she had at the courtyard.

"Well, your right, I barely know you so it isn't my buisness."

Harlequin nodded as she watched him come closer. She followed his gaze and looked up at him, hands folding behind back.

"Glad you understand then...", she murmered.

Afterwards she would start up the silence again, pursing lips to whistle a little made-up tune for a moment before stopping and wondering what he really thought she was taking these things for.

"You know, I am sorry for how I acted in the courtyard to... I'm just kinda wary of strangers."

"You tried to smack me in the face with a rock, thats not weary of strangers, that violence towards them. Its a good thing that where my powers lay or else I'd have a rather large bruise on my face. I should appologize too, the way I was comeing at you like that, you might have thought I was trying to kidnap you or something."

He pulled a stone from his pocket and started tossing it up into the air and catching it again. He gazed at Harlequin, still quite apprehencive of her, but if she could manage to appologize he thought that there was hope for the girl yet, not sure how much, but there had to be some there.

"I forgive you though, hope you can do the same for me."

All she did was give another nod in aknowledgment. She sighed, looking around it bored and pushing herself up to sit atop the ledge of the roof. Looking at him again, she smiled a bit and spoke.

"Well then, your lucky. My powers can't do diddly squat.", she said, swinging her legs in boredom a little.

"Yeah, I guess so, good thing you can't say... vaporize someone or else I would have a bit of a problem right now."

He smirked as he made his little 'what if'. He joined her sitting there, at this point he really hoped that she wasn't going to swing at him, but she had appoloized for it.

"So since you dont have thoes really destructive powers, what brings you here?"

Harlequin shrugged, biting her lip and thinking for a bit.

"Not sure.. I guess to improve... Or perhaps find a new power. I'm pretty sure I have another one. It does run in my family, but I still have only one... I guess it'll come around soon. My father sent me here to kinda control what I have now... Learn about it some more."

She looked behind her, then wavered in her seat and gave a little yelp as if she was about to fall. Then she burst out laughing, studying the look on his face.

"Ah, I see, so your just here as a learning experience. Thats not bad I suppose."

As she looked like she was near falling then started giggleing like a madwoman, Minoru stared at her as if shed grown a second head. He really didnt get what was so funny, he looked down and didnt see what was so funny.

"You arlight Harlequin?"

Harlequin blinked after her little attempt at the joke. Yet, he wasn't freaking out, but instead probably getting the idea she was crazy again. She sighed rolling her eyes and looking up at him beside her.

"I was just joking.." she began, tapping fingers boredly against the brick

"Apparantly you don't quite know how to distinguish a joke out from reality very well." was added in a moment after, as Harlequin brushes a strand of bangs behind her ear.

"It wasn't funny, now this, this on the other hand is funny."

He took a stone from his pocket and rolled it behind her. The stone changed shape and pushed her out of her seat. He took four more out of his pocket and threw it down the side of the building, they all changed shape and embedded into it and caught Harlequin as she fell. She hadn't fallen very far, enough for him to help her back up. He held his hand down to her and started chuckling. This, he thought, was funny as all hell.

"Are you okay?"

Harlequin screamed bloddy murder as she fell at least a story. Plummeting down to the stone wich caught her fall, she groaned at her now sore rear and looked up at Minoru and brushed herself off, standing to her feet and reaching her hands up to grasp onto the ledge. She pulled herself up and rolled herself over to the other side of the ledge, standing up on the roof again. She looked to him and turned around, crossing arms over chest and looking down to the spectators below.

"That wasn't funny! I pretended to fall, you actually pushed me off the edge!", she shouted angrily, not looking back to face him.

The people where still gaping up at her below, wondering probably who had pushed her off, who had thrown the stone to catch her fall, or if they were just plain seeing things. Quin, needing something to take out her anger on, waved her fist at them and ranted.

"What're you all looking at! Go mind your own buisness... Or somebody else's !!"

"Hey now, I'm sorry about that. I was just playing with you. Your joke was just bad, I wanted to show you a funny one."

He still carried that ear to ear grin on his face at the reaction she threw as she fell. He hadn't thought she could act scared like a real girl. It was rather cute. He walked up behind her and placed his hand down on her shoulder.

"Look, I'm sorry, I mean it. I didn't think you'd freak out like that. You seemed like such a tough girl, I figured you could handle it. Besides, did you honestly think Id let someone cute as you fall? Not a chance."

He went from his chuckeling grin to a sincire smile. He patted her shoulder and took his hand away. He stepped back, and braced himself, as he expected her to swing out at him.

She turned around, content look on face and arms still crossed over chess. Heaving a short sigh, she looked at him in silence for a moment.

"I wasn't scared.", she stated, foot stomping down on the ground in a defensive stance as well.

"Well... Maybe I was... a little bit, though!", Quin added in. She blushed at his comment, but soon forced it away.

"Cute!? hmm.."

"Yeah, beneath the attitude and the obvious psychosis, your cute, why? Never been called that before? I can imagine why. You don't need the false bravado you know."

He smiled at her reaction to being called cute, apparently this girl wasn't so bad after all, perhaps she was even tolerable. Amazing. He lightle chuckled, this situation seemed to grow more and more humerous.

"Okay Harlequin, I owe you for that one, okay? Whenever you feel like fetting me back on it, I wont hold a grudge against you. Its the nice thing to do."

Harlequin shook her head.

"No. You didn't hurt me, so I technically can't hurt you.", she said, thinking on it a moment, then taking a step closer to him and glancing up.

"BUT, I think I'll get you when you least expect it."

(sorry, posts are kind of short lately. tired. ;_;)
