Faria leaned back against a large tree somewhere in the middle of the meadow. The day was slightly windy, the breeze tugging at her skirt and hair. She whiped her hair from her face and looked up at the sky. A few clouds skipped across the blue, the wind stretching them out. Long, delicate fingers of mist... She sighed. Lately she found herself more and more thinking about her father, wondering what he was doing, why he'd gotten rid of her like he did... Not like she really cared right? Right, why did she care? Why was it even the most dominant thought in her mind? Why... Why??? She stepped out from the tree, staring at the ground. She twisted the toe of her boot into the dry dust encasing the roots of the giant behind her. There were many other things that she'd rather think about. One thought in particular she wished to think about more than the others, but it didn't matter... that wasn't the thought bugging her. Why, why, why? A small bubble of anger made it's way up into her head. She drew her sie from her tall boots and whirled around, slashing at the tree. Why couldn't she stop thinking about her damned father?!? |

zoan was walking threw the meadow, when he noticed from the corner of his eye, a female cutting at tree. He figured that he would go over and see what was bothering her. He reached her not too long after seeing her, and when he got there, he tapped her lightly on the shoulder. "Um...Excuse me" The lady turned around, and saw a man wearing black jeans that seemed to be a few sizes to large for him, and a muscle shirt. He had a rather large sword strapped to his back, had hair to his mid-back put in a ponytail, but the most distingushing feature was his eyes, they were completely white. After knowing he had her attention, he continued. "What did that poor tree ever do to you?" |

Turning around Faria noticed the boy for the first time. How long had he been watching her outburst? "What did that poor tree ever do to you?" She turned around to look at the damage she'd done. She stared for a moment at the considerable gash her sie had made in her anger. She laughed nervously, realizing how dramatic she'd been a moment ago. She turned back to the boy and bowed appologetically. "I'm sorry, I was just..." Normally she wouldn't tell a stranger about anything on her mind. Of course she'd never had anyone that she would tell her problems to anyway, but she wasn't planning on changing that now. She lied instead, knowing it was wrong, but also wanting to keep what she guarded inside a secret. "I was just bored... Guess I started thinking and lost concentration on what I was doing. But it looks better now, don't you think?" She turned around to study the gash again and she coughed. The gash really wasn't very attractive for the tree, and sap dripped slowly as if the tree were crying. She suddenly felt very bad. "Heh, not really though..." |

"I was just bored... Guess I started thinking and lost concentration on what I was doing. But it looks better now, don't you think?" Zoan took another look at the tree, then to the girl, and back at the tree. "I don't believe that you was bored. The way it appeared to me, it seemed as if you was angry, or upset about something. Care to share, I could tell you some things about my life, but....." Zoan trailed off, and bowed his head down, and looked at his feet. |

"Oh, no, I'm really alright." Faria scratched her head, rather embarassed, still set on not letting him know what was wrong. She immediately felt terrible for her outburst and started to feel a little guilt towards her attack on the tree. She bit her lip, staring at the tree then looked back at the young man. She cracked a little, revealing that she'd lied. "I'm just a bit frustrated with some things right now, that's all. Don't worry about it, I'm really okay. The tree helped, heh..." Gah, what a pickle she was in right now. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other nervously. She'd destroyed a tree--not that it belonged to anyone or anything, but now it had this hideous gash in it--, startled another student, and just made a complete fool of herself. What trouble she'd gotten herself into in just a matter of minutes! |

"I'm just a bit frustrated with some things right now, that's all. Don't worry about it, I'm really okay. The tree helped, heh..." Zoan wanted to help, but it was up to her if she wanted to tell him, and he could tell that she wasn't one to open up that easily, he figured that he would just let it go unless she wanted to talk about it.... "Well, if your okay now, then that's good. But how about instead of taking it out on a tree next time, why not just come find me? I'm trustworthy, I promise." Zoan smiled slightly, and waited for some type of response from Feria. |

Faria looked at the boy in front of her, and couldn't help but smile. She relaxed a bit, calming down, and sheathed her sie back into her boots. Wow, this guy was really nice, nicer than anyone she'd met so far. So much that she thought it to be impossible. "You seem very eager to help and you don't even know me. You're so kind, sir." Her addressing him as "sir" was both out of her own respectfulness and because of the fact that she hadn't yet learned his name. She never meant anything by it, except a polite/general nickname for someone (like how she addressed girls as "hun"), but more often she was returned with an offensive retort that "sir" made them feel old. She didn't stop though, "sir" having become a habit in her vocabulary, and she didn't bother to change it. Suddenly, out of nowhere a dragonfly came and danced around the two students' heads. Faria let out a cry of surprise and shooed it off. She shuddered. She didn't mind bugs too much, as long as they were dead or far enough away from her that she wouldn't have to touch them. She looked back at the guy when she was sure the dragonfly was gone and bowed politely. "My name is Faria." ((ooc--oh! hey, sir, I must ask, I can't find your profile anywhere, heh. I don't know if you've taken care of it or not, but um... yeah... heh, thought I'd let you know X_x)) |

((OOC-My Zoan profile...it's in moved profiles, go to my username profiles, and then the link to all topics started by me, it will be in there)) "My name is Faria." Realizing that he had yet to introduce himself, he felt ashamed of his manners. He bowed lightly, and stated, "People call me Zoan...I don't know my real name." Zoan waited a second, and then continued. "I guess I'm nice, but I thought that all people were like this, helping out others with problems." |

"It's nice to meet you Zoan." She smiled at him. He didn't know his real name? That kinda sucked... but then was there really a use for a real name? Any name was better than no name... She hated her name, Faria Denryu. Her first name she could tollerate, but not the last... That one belonged to her father who, over the past few months, she'd developed a strong hate for. "I like the name Zoan, though." Faria laughed a little at his comment about thinking everyone was as nice as he. Very modest, she thought. This guy really wasn't like other people... So innocent, she thought. No, as a matter of fact, people really weren't as nice as he thought, not nearly. People were selfish beings, as was well proved by all her years having moved to more schools than she could really remember. Out of all those schools, not one person--or so to her memory--had stepped out of their way to help "the new girl", unless instructed by a teacher or principal or some other staff member, and even then it was unwillingly. She shook her head. "Actually, not really... Though I'm surprised that people here at this school are much nicer than anywhere else I've been in my life. I really like it here." ((ooc--that's odd... heh, it seems kinda pointless, I mean why not the regular profiles forum? o.O sorry, I bet I sound kinda rude X_x it's just there never was a moved profiles forum before so I'm confused about it's purpose...)) |

((OOC-neither did I)) "Actually, not really... Though I'm surprised that people here at this school are much nicer than anywhere else I've been in my life. I really like it here." "Yeah, I enjoy this place as well. There's alot of people here to meet, all of them exciting. Unfortunately, these people and perhaps 3 or 4 others from a near-by village do I know or have met. I don't remember much about my life....Only maybe 7 or 8 months worth of it.....Odd really...I would like to tell you about it, maybe you could help me out?" Zoan thought that maybe this person could help in some way to help him recover his lost memory. ((OOC-look at his history to understand that last part)) |

"Only 8 months?" Suddenly Faria felt really bad for him, at least she had her memory, though sometimes she wished she didn't. She felt really selfish all the sudden, wallowing in her own self-pity. She was at AHS now, not some city school, her problems were probably nothing compared to other students... they certainly were now. "I would love to help, though, I'm not sure what there is I could do. I can try my best though." She frowned, unsure about her usefulness. This was a bit odd, eh? She had just met him yes, and he'd wanted to help her earlier, now she really wanted to help him. How strange this was! Hrm... how to start... "Well... I guess we should start with what you remember last, hmm?" |

"What, I remember last...Well, I believe that starting with what I first remember would be a better starting point than what I remember last." Zoan snickered alittle bit, but then continued. "My first memory......" Zoan thinks back to the day, and thinks of how to say it..... "I was laying on the ground in some forest about 60 or 70 miles from here, no idea how I got there, what I was doing there, and most importantly who I was." Zoan takes a deep breath, and continues. "When I finally got up to my feet, standing up, the first thing I noticed was this pain on my chest, so I looked at it, and there was long and thick scab there." At that moment, Zoan lifts up his muscle shirt, and large gash about an inch in thickness, and going from his left shoulder all the way down to near his right hip bone. There was still a few scab spots here and there. "This scar is one of the most confusing things that I am trying to figure out......Another thing that I noticed was this huge sword on my back, it was laying there next to me." Zoan unsheaths his broadsword. The broadsword was singled sided, with a realatively thick back side of the blade, about 4 or 5 inches, the total length of the sword may of been 4 feet long, and the handle was only about 8 inches. "I also had a katana strapped to my side, but that's in my room right now." Zoan tilts his head in the direction of the dorm rooms. "At that point, I figured that maybe a nearby village might have some information about me, heard of me, or saw me go threw or something, so I went......unfortunately though, no one heard of me or never saw me before, but they were nice, and all chipped in some money so I could attend this school, because they felt sorry for me, and hoped maybe someone here could help me. Also at that village, a little boy gave me the name Zoan Necro, and I liked it, so, I kept here...." Zoan paused for a moment, before he continued. "I stayed at that village for a few days, then I set out. They told me that the trip here would take 2 or 3 days, but somehow I got here in a day. I guess I'm what they call a "meta-human"." Zoan finished that part of the his known history to see what she would say about it. |

So he was a meta-human too. From the way it looked and all the people that she'd met so far, she had to be the only non-meta person at the school. Somehow this unsettled her, but she ignored it for now. This sounded like something out of one of the books she'd read. She stood there for a moment thinking. Alright, now what... "Can I see the blade?" She wasn't an expert on weapons, but her mom had been, somewhat. Usually her mother's jobs had something to do with swords or blades of sorts and she'd passed a good bit of her knowledge onto her daughter before she'd died. Faria doubted she'd really find much, but maybe there was some inscription or marking on the blade that was unique or different than most blades? |

"Can I see the blade?" Zoan seemed kind of dumb-founded by this question, wondering what she would of wanted with his broadsword, but none the less, if he was looking for help, he would have to let her see it. So Zoan unsheathed his broadsword, and drove the tip into the soft earth slightly, and held it at it's hilt. "Now, this things alittle heavy, so be careful." The sword doesn't appear to have an important characteristics, all it had was just some curvy lines on the back part of the blade. ((OOC-if you want a sword to reference this one to, if you have ever played FF-X, think of Auron's big broadsword, I can't think of the name of it though.)) |

Faria studied the blade. Strangely, there was no trademark or small engraving from the person who made the blade. She frowned as she looked it over. The blade couldn't have just come out of thin air. She breathed out her nose loudly. This was odd, that was one of the first things her mom had taught her. She looked the sword over again another time. Well, maybe not all blacksmiths ((ooc--I know there was a name for a sword maker but I forgot... like... something-wright XP)) She looked back at Zoan. "There's nothing on this blade identifying the maker... Though the wavy lines could be some sort of trademark." She frowned again. Well, it was long for a normal sword, but didn't appear to be two handed, for the handle was two short. Curious, she tried to lift it, but could barely get it off the ground. She looked at it, confused. "Nee... How do you use it?" |

"Nee... How do you use it?" Zoan looked back at Faria confused, as if she had never used a sword before. But in the case that she didn't, he showed her anyways. He put one hand on the blade, and without straining any muscles, he picked it up, and swung it around right side up. Zoan lightly slashed it threw the air a few times diagonally, then swung it around his back, and held it on his shoulders while still holding the handle. "Don't worry, when I first picked it up, it was kind of heavy to me too, but I guess all that running with it made it easier for me to hold and use." Zoan lifted the massive sword over his head, and put it in his other hand, and then sheathed it. "Well, thanks for trying to help atleast. Now it's my turn for helping, what's bothering you?" Zoan's white eyes looking at Faria, wondering if maybe he came on a bit too strong, after all, he was letting her tell him, he shouldn't be forcing it out of her. |

"Well it's just..." Faria hesitated. She didn't want to sound like a know-it-all, because she knew she wasn't. There were so many things that she knew but had turned out to be wrong. One of those things having been swatted down just now. She let out a nervous laugh but decided to tell him what she thought anyway. "It's just I've never seen a one-handed sword that was so big." And he had picked it up without even a problem! He talked about it like it was no big deal, but she knew that not many, unless you were uber strong, cold lift such a blade with one hand. But wait... there was another possibility, one that she had just found could be true over two months ago. "Unless it was a magic sword." |

"Unless it was a magic sword." Zoan smiled at this remark. His sword being magic. Impossible. But then he thought about it from her perspective, She couldn't lift it, but Zoan was moving it around as if it was a feather. "I highly doubt that this sword is magic. I've just gotten use to carrying it around and stuff, I guess I'm just used to it. Also, remember, I'm one of those "meta-human" people, maybe that has something to do with it." Zoan thought for a few more seconds, and thought that he should add another comment. "Oh, and I don't fight with this one handed, I incorporate my other hand in some way or fashion when fighting." Zoan just continued to smile, he enjoyed times like this. Meeting new people, and talking to them, getting to know them. But one thing troubled Zoan about this, Faria was getting to know Zoan, but Zoan was getting to know Faria. |

It couldn't be magic? Oh right, meta-human... It seemed everyone at this school was a meta-human but her... Well that's a bit unfair. Again her head filled with the uneasy feeling of not belonging. She'd never really had a feeling of belonging, but here least of all. She sighed. There was no way for her to get out now, and even if she did, where would she go? She studied what she could see of Zoan's blade on his back. She suddenly felt a little tired... or maybe not tired, but emotionless... apathy? She shook her head to herself. Maybe it was just the heat. "I need to sit down..." She backed up and leaned against the shady side of the tree. She slid down it's scarred trunk, the sap now dried, and sat at it's foot. So he's a meta at this school. His meta ability must have something to do with that sword... but didn't he say he just found it? Where exactly did it come from? She paused a sec. Maybe she was thinking about it in the wrong way. Maybe his meta ability had to do with some sort of mega-strength or something. There had to be a list of all the meta abilities somewhere on the campus, maybe they could find a reasonable one and start from there...! Something struck Faria and she looked up at Zoan. "How long have you been going to this school? Do you have any idea?" |

"How long have you been going to this school? Do you have any idea?" Zoan wondered the reason behind asking this question, but like he thought before, he didn't know much about her. "You sure ask alot of questions huh?" Zoan said simpfully, kind of joking around with her. "How long I've been at this school.....A couple of months, at the most half a year or so. How come? What you thinking?" Zoan was still puzzled as to why she wanted to know the answers to all of these questions. |

"Eh?" Faria blushed, too many questions? She was only trying to help, but perhaps she was being a bit snoopy? She'd have to try to back off a bit from now on... "Well, the school's got to have a file for you. I don't know why they wouldn't. Why don't you try the student directories?" Every school had student directory files, it would surprise her if AHS didn't. A school that didn't have student directories? Just the thought made her shudder. She'd always felt it the only thing keeping her safe from the other students at past schools. |

He stood there waiting for her to reply. |

Faria stared up at him. He really didn't know what good this would do him? "Sir," The name was her way of respect, not meant any offence, but more than none that's what it did. Apparently the innocent name made guys feel old. "The student directories would have your past in them, or something about them. We could do a few searches to find out who you are. There should be pictures. At least we could find your real name if nothing else." She nodded. Unless his appearance changed or weight/height were dramatically different, this was a sure way to find something out about him. "Want to give it a go? We can search on the computers in the library... I think..." |

"Want to give it a go? We can search on the computers in the library... I think..." Zoan figured that this was useless, but worth a shot. If the school already had information about him, then they wouldn't of asked him so many questions when he regestered to be part of the school attendance. He figured though, that if this girl was so eager to help him, why not tag along. "Alright, well sure, then lets head to the Library."
