Faria made her way slowly through the courtyard.
It was surprisingly empty today, but then again, stiffling hot. She wore a sleeveless white blouse with a black ribbon that criss-crossed up and tied in the front. Along with the bouse she wore a short, black skirt and black and white striped leggings, as not to expose herself. Instead of her normal tall boots, she wore, instead, an old pair of chucks that had, at one time, been black but were now faded to an oddly redish dark grey, and shoelaces that had once been white were now a yellowish brown colour. Though she almost always wore boots, these were her favourite shoes.
She sneezed in the sunlight. She wasn't feeling quite well this summer's day. In fact, she figured she probably had a cold, a cold that was most likely gonna get worse over the next few days.
Finding a nice bench in the shade, she sat down on the surprisingly cold stone. She leaned on the arm, staring at a water fountain not far away. Her mind, fading in and out of thought, felt sluggish.
She cleared her throat so she could breathe better and continued to stare at the fountain. Was it just her or was the water moving kinda slow.... She blinked, but her eyes didn't open back up. Soon she was curled up on the bench sound asleep.

Walking aimlessly about, on a day like this, was something Troi took a certain joy in. Although most found the heat overbearing, he always felt at home in the excedingly warm climes, such as the school was experiencing this very day. For some reason, he could always picture himself very comfortable in a desert home, or in other deep southern areas, with warm climates year round.
His mind was on fantasies of travels to hot lands, and western journies, with Johnny Cash songs playing through his thoughts. He was enjoying this day and the pleasant thoughts it was yielding so much, that he found it quite surprising to see a striking young girl sleeping through it, on a bench in the shade.
Not being able to resist, he rested on the fountain, looking no place in particular, and whistled a tune, which bore a hint of his own Celtic culture. It was a subtle attempt to make a friend, perhaps, but Troi saw it more as an oppurtunity at a good conversation, were she to awaken. Regardless, he whistled on, basking in the sun-drenched air and gazing at the water, sky and occaisonally at the girl, sleeping peacefully on the bench.

"What a day..... Nice out....."

Will sighed, stretching out a bit on the other side of the fountain, a baseball cap pulled over his face, hiding his brown eyes and hair as well as protecting his eyes and face from the sun, which was beating down pretty hard today. He had finally gotten used to wearing Earth clothing, and was now sporting a light blue shirt, white shorts, and a blue short sleeved button down shirt over the first one, opened at the chest, like a jacket. On his feet were a pair of sandals, no socks, he really hadn't felt like it on such a warm day. His mind drifted through the sky as he pulled back his cap, staring at the small bracelet on his left hand, the trinkets making a nice noise as a slight breeze shifted through the area, a huge relief in the oppresive heat. He just stared at it, remembering the day he met Greg at this fountain. No, not remember, more of watching it play in his mind. It had been another person who had been there, the person whose life he had to replace, not by curteousy, but by need, the other having dissapeared to do so. But, in nature and in looks, they were the same, but in being, they weren't. He sighed, twisting his arm slightly and sluggishly. Just as the light caught the pair of butterfly wings and glinted off of it, a sound caused Will to sit up and look around. He hadn't noticed anyone else there, being on the other side of the fountain, the noise from the trickling water overlapping the sounds of them coming. Stretching, he got up, walking along the side of the fountain, smiling. He balanced on the side lazily, looking at the whistling boy, keeping his voice down as he noticed the sleeping girl.

"Hiya. Nice day, isn't it?"

"In an entire years passing, one could hardly dream of a more suitable day," replied Troi, to the stranger. His whistling stopped, he turned more to face this new arrival with an inviting look on his face.

"It's readily apparent that I am not alone in the solace I take within the conditions of this day," he commented, whilst motioning to both Will, and the girl sleeping on the bench. "Troi Alegheri," said he, "one of the more recent arrivals at this here academy."

Faria hadn't completely fallen asleep, or not as much as she or others would have thought. Her ears still caught the voices, lowered probably in respect to her sleeping, but still audible.
She listened for a moment before opening her eyes, not wanting to startle them. Her head hurt a little and she could hear her heartbeat quietly inside her head.
Upon opening her eyes, she noticed two boys sitting on the edge of the fountain, glancing at her every now and then. Likely amused by some random girl having fallen asleep out here.
She tried to sit up quietly and not inturupt then, but a familiar tickle crawled up her nose and she sneezed loudly. Good going, she thought to herself. She rubbed her eyes with one of her hands trying to see more clearly.

"Hello there..."

She hadn't wanted to be rude, but a small gut feeling hinted that she'd probably failed at that.

Will raised an eyebrow at the boy's extremely strange, and seemingly archaic, language, and use of it. Through all of his weeks here in this world, he had never heard anyone speak quite like him before. Of course, he found this amusing beyond all belief, not in the haha funny or in the haha, I'm going to tease you sort of way, but in a way that he was happy to meet a strange person. He himself was strange beyond belief, so meeting a fellow strange person brightened his day. When the introductions began, he smiled, nodding as he pointed to himself as he sat down in a crouching position, one hand held fast to the ground of the fountain, keeping him in place, almost catlike. A wide grin covered his face, the baseball cap having been pulled back, so a small tuft of brown hair was sticking out from underneath it. The grin it self gave him the air of just being too plain friendly and happy to be real, but it was kind of amusing that he seemed so young for being 16.

"My sentiments exactly.... I think.... Not sure exactly what you said, but I am pretty sure I feel the same way.... I'm Will by the way, a pleasure Troi. Been here a few weeks, give or take a month if you count unusual circumstances."

He was talking plainly about the dopleganger of him created to take his place that had been in his place earlier in the school year. Recently, the dopleganger had freed him, and for a short period, they had shared memories. But, he finally was able to stop it all, to become his own person, recently, through a great sacrifice and a great freedom. He was thinking about it for a second, almost lost in thought. Suddenly, the sneeze caused him to look upwards quickly, over Troy's shoulder, right towards the sleeping girl he had seen earlier. She seemed to have been trying to get away! It had caught Will as funny at first, since lots of people avoided him all the time, then he saw it as kinda rude, and in a second, that was all gone, and he was happy, since he had a new person to talk to. He smiled again widely, then waved his other hand, laughing, making sure not to loose his balance . He had fallen in a fountain on school grounds before, almost caught a nasty cold, or so he could remember.

"Hi there! Sorry to interupt your nap like that. Didn't mean to."

Troi smiled as he saw that the girl on the bench had woken up. A second person to interact and conversate with was always a plus in his opinion. Without moving from his spot from the fountain he waved her over, "Please, yield not your extroversion. Indeed, I give assurance that such a lady is entirely welcome to join our conversation."

Troi paused briefly, motioned to Will and said with a smirk, "Assuming that Will sees no dilema with the aforementioned notion."

Faria blinked, sitting where she was. As Will, she found Troi's speech odd as well, and in addition, quite hard to understand completely. Her head spun with sitting up so soon after waking up, but it faded, as did her slight headache. Though, her stuffed nose continued to keep her from breathing normally. Lucky for her it wasn't easy to tell she was sick, besides being a touch out of it, though that could also be mistaken for just her personality.
She shook her head to the boy who she guessed was Will by his voice.

"Oh, no problem, you didn't wake me. I don't think I was asleep too long."

A chill ran down her spine as a small gust of wind blew by, but instead of the wind being cool, as would have been nice, the wind was warm and really didn't help her head much. Maybe it was a bad idea to have come outside? Ah, well...
She turned to the other boy, who she assumed to be Troi, and addressed them both.

"My name's Faria. Sorry for interrupting your conversation, you can continue. I wont listen, but I can move if you'd like."

She nodded politely.

Troi smiled at her, kindly, "Well, in that instance, I am relieved that you weren't awoken from too deep a slumber. But please, He and Iweren't conversing so much as we were..." Troi contemplated the correct choice of words for a moment, "...just getting aquainted, really. Please, do join us, unless you've more napping to do," he added with a smirk.

Faria blinked, unsure of what he meant by both what he said and the smirk.

"No... I think I'm done."

She sat up straighter and smoothed out her skirt. So far she wasn't sure what to make of this strange-talking guy, but figured he was probably someone that you had to get used to... Either that or she was a bit grumpy with her stuffy nose.

((ooc-sorry, short XP))

Troi picked up on her uncertainty quite easily, and was curious as to what exactly it was that caused her trouble. His look changed from one of a welcoming smile, to that of slight concern. He asked, "You seem unsure, is there something foreign troubling you, or is it I that causes a certain unease?"

"Some people aren't naturally all that outgoing, that's all. I think our sudden appearance kinda made her a bit nervous, and she didn't want to be a bother if we were discussing anything important. Which we're not mind you. Just commenting on what a nice day it was, that's all."

Will understood the feeling quite well of not being all that outgoing. In fact, at his old world, he was pretty reserved around his friends. But that all changed upon his coming to this new world. So many things had happened that had changed his life forever. The most important being that his shield, his mask, the thing that kept him away from everyone else, an antisocial jerk at times, had been shattered, quite roughly, by another young man, whose Will's feelings for at the time helped the situation. And ever since then, he had been able to be his true, happy, hyperactive self, much to the hatred of many shy people he had dropped in on. He could be serious, but for right now, life was a tad bit too short to be serious all the time, ESPECIALLY when you go to a High School where getting blown up is a natural occurance. Or at least blown into a wall. Will, thinking for a second, still in the strange balanced pose on the fountain, then looked back to Faria. Something about her accent had caught him by surprise at first, and then he finally realized what the accent was. In fact, it wasn't an accent at all, at least he hoped not. If it was, then what he was about to say would be a tad rude. Oh well, life is too short to not ask questions when they come to mind.

"Oh, and by the way, I'm Will, if you didn't hear me before..... And do you have a cold? You sound stuffed up."

"Eh?"

Faria smiled, blushing a little bit. She scratched the back of her head and nodded.

"Yes, actually I do. A terrible curse for such a hot summer's day. Everything seems uncomfortable no matter what."

She was surprised at herself, though. Usually when she had a cold she was rather easy to upset or anger, but at the moment, she felt rather calm, despite nothing being comfortable.
She stared at the sparkling water falling from the fountain. It looked so inviting, though she knew students would probably get yelled at for jumping in. She covered a cough and looked back at the other two.

"I hope the weathers not bugging you as much as it is me."

"No, not at all," Troi replied, "In fact, I find the weather most appealing. It's sad to hear that you do not find it as perfect as I." Troi noticed her coughing, and his speech took on a more sympathetic tone, "It's clear to see that you're not entirely well, perhaps rest is what you need most."

Faria frowned, a childish gesture for her, she rarely pouted. She shook her head.

"But I'm not... nyeh..."

She gave up what she was gonna say, knowing it would be a lie and she had no real reason to lie. Her frown faded. She'd already fallen asleep once, so it'd be wrong to say she wasn't tired. But it was the middle of the day, and despite her short nap a moment ago, she really didn't want to sleep. She shook her head again.

"Don't worry about me. I'll be alright... As long as I don't start jumping around or anything, heh."

Not that she would anyway, she wasn't that energetic.

"If you attest that you're alright," Troi replied, his tone still slightly sympathetic and concerned, "than I shall believe you. I would of course be the last one to cause a reason for you to start jumping," he continued, smiling at her.

Troi reached down to the fountain, and dipped his fingers in the cold, clear water. He brought his hand up, still dripping with water, and he playfully flicked a few drops in Faria's direction, smiling widely as he did so.

'Is he flirting?'

Will raised an eyebrow, watching the young man with archaic speech playing with the water and pointing it towards their other young companion. He just giggled, then leaned back on his two legs, balancing as he stretched both of his arms behind his head, enjoying the sun basking on his skin. It had taken a nice tan now, a huge difference to the albino white he had had when he came here. Hundreds of years in nothing but darkness could do that to a guy. That is why he appreciated the warmth, even the extreme heat. It was better than feeling nothing. Once done stretching, he looked forward at the two.

"Yes, that's true. I'm not exactly much of a fan of sanity either, so you start jumping around and I'll join you. But that aside, if you find the weather so bad, why not at least cool your feet and ankles in the fountain? I bet you could even get your face a bit wet too. I'm not sure that anyone would care at all."

He smiled, a distant memory of an early spring day coming to mind. He had gone swimming in a fountain with another young man. Not swimming, more of falling back in because of a large dog's appearance. He bet that the cool water would be alot more welcome on a hot day like this than a freezing cold evening like that.

Faria sheilded herself from the water that Troi flicked at her. Peeking between her fingers, she gave a small half smile. If he was flirting, she ignored it, though the water didn't feel so bad on the hot day and she couldn't resist Will's suggestion.
She pulled off her Chucks, but then she paused, realizing that she was wearing her striped tights today. Pondering about it for a moment, she decided she didn't care if they got wet. It looked like they'd be out there for a while so she'd have plenty of time to sit in the sun and dry them off. Besides, it was too hot, and too tempting, to leave the water fountain alone.
She set her shoes on the bench and went and sat between Will and Troi, turning to dip her feet into the water on the other side.
Her half smile came back as her stockings soaked with water, turning darker in colour. She wasn't sure why, but somehow she found it amusing.
She waved her feet back and forth in the water for a moment and stared at the ripples that the fountain made when it fell into the pool at the bottom.
She wanted to say something to break the silence, but for the moment her mind drew a blank and she stayed quiet.

"Refreshing?" Asked Troi, as he watched her look change from one of discomfort from illness, to that of relaxation. "Not a bad suggestion at all, Will." Troi thought about doing the same, but he, unlike Faria, didn't want to get his clothes wet. Anyway, the heat wasn't disturbing him all that much.

"Refreshing?"

"Actually, very much."

Faria replied with a smile, still waving her feet back and forth. She really didn't know what to say, but felt like breaking the silence so she asked the first thing that came to her head.

"So how long have you guys been going to this school?"
