The boy carried but two pieces of luggage, and a single sword crossed his back. These were his only belongings, but they were enough for him, having spent the last two years as a wandering swordsman. Those capable of perceiving such things would note the multi-colored maelstrom of his aura, red and green clashing in a swirling vortex around him. This boy was, in fact, two souls in one vessel, a dichotomy that would prove more hindering than helpful.

The luggage he carried was just one representation of the great many differences separating the two individuals. Hanging from a shoulder strap hung a drab green canvas duffel bag, filled with clothes from the West. Denim jeans, black t-shirts, and two pairs of black combat boots were just a small sample of the duffel's contents. The other piece of luggage was a wooden travel chest, decorative kanji etched into the wood. Inside the trunk were clothes much like those the boy wore now, traditional Japanese clothing, though all made of fine expensive silks. The trunk must have weighed anywhere from twenty to thirty pounds, but he carried it with the ease of one used to such a burden.

He glanced around, looking for someone to show him where he was supposed to go.

"Hello? Is anyone here?"

Pitiful. Asking for assistance in merely finding a single room...

Aku...hush. I'm being polite. Something you could learn to appreciate.

I have neither the time nor the effort of will to deign to entertain the notion of human social interactions.
