After going down hallway after hallway Annabelle did a double take on the door she was walking by before she believed she had actually found a vacant room. Being the optimistic one the little matter of taking a little over forty minutes to find her room wasn't enough to bring her down. "WOO-HOO!" she cried as she kicked open the door and trudged inside, her suitcases and various bags hindering swift movement. Letting everything drop once she was in the middle of the room, Annabelle took it all in; a bed, nightstand, dresser, desk, and a closet. 'Now to work...' Annabelle sighed inside. Unpacking was an adventure in itself, but an hour or more later, she had lost track of time, she lay down in the middle of the room, her legs crossed and her hands behind her head to observe her new room. Christmas lights were strung all around the room making a complete but far from smooth circle around the room well above Annabelle's height. While pictures of her family and friends inhabited the walls, various books took their places on the surfaces of the dresser, desk and nightstand beside her bed. After hanging up her long black curtains with dark blue, light blue and white swirls acting the backdrop for stars and planets stitched with shimmering silver thread, Annabelle had flung open her screen-less windows, letting a light breeze dance with the curtains. Having already made up her bed, the sheets and quilt matching the curtains, Annabelle found herself thoroughly bored since everything had been done and not wanting to leave the only building she wouldn't get lost in. Getting up off the floor and grabbing a single sheet of paper, Annabelle had an idea. Placing the paper on the floor she whistled the mobility spell, or rather a spell to force movement, concentrating on the paper, seeing in her mind's eye the paper spinning on one of its corners. The piece of paper, having no will and weighing practically nothing, immediately stood on end. Annabelle held her breath as she continued the movie in her mind, willing the paper to mimic that. Very slowly the paper tilted onto one of its corners and very very slowly began to turn in a circle. After the paper built up speed, continuing to spin, Annabelle let out a sigh of relief. Just as she did this, her concentration dropping considerably, a particularly strong gust of wind burst through the open window and caught the paper in mid-spin, blowing it out of her open door and into the hall. Annabelle jumped up, completely surprised, the spell breaking as soon as she mentally dropped the image of the paper spinning and the spell's anatomy. Running to her door, she gripped the side of the doorframe, swinging herself into the hall, her sneakers squealing on the wood of the hallway as she stopped herself. There it was, her prey almost completely down the hall, about ten yards away, a small draft from the open windows of the hallway keeping the paper moving. She bolted down the hallway, almost taking some kid's head off as he stuck it out of a doorway to see what the odd noise from Annabelle's sneakers had come from. Closing in on the paper as it reached the stairs that lead to the first floor, Annabelle began to slow down so as to not fall down the flight of stairs, her efforts would have been in vain. In the process of slowing down Annabelle's foot caught on something, sending her into a dive, arms outstretched in front of her. A small scream escaped her as she was sent tumbling down the stairs in a tight ball, feeling everything and even hearing a sickening crack as she took her final fall, landing in the hallway of the first floor hallway. Annabelle was sprawled on the floor on her back, her red mass of curly hair had come undone somewhere during her fall. Before her open eyes a spectacular light show might have been enjoyable if a great burst of pain from her left arm hadn't accompanied it. She barely noticed the pain from the various places the steps had hit her. |

"Surely, grace is not your strongest suit," laughed Troi, sympathetically as the girl landed scarcely three feet away from his feet. He placed his single bag onto the floor, and outstreched a hand to the girl, who didn't seem to be in a tremendous amount of pain. Troi had just been entering the dorm to find his room, when he had nearly been toppled by the falling girl, "Please, do allow me to lend aid to the fallen lady," he said as he moved to help her to her feet. |

Annabelle's eyes focused on a young man's face that was framed by handsome brown hair, "Surely, grace is not your strongest suit," laughed Troi sympathetically. "Please, do allow me to lend aid to the fallen lady," he said. She smiled weakly as she realized just how long it had been since she had made such a blunder as this. "I accept with an indescribable about of gratitude," Annabelle stated as her cheeks turned a noticeable shade of pink. Ignoring her left arm, she discovered only a few of her newly acquired bruises-to-be as Troi helped her to her feet. Cradling her left arm in her right, "Thank you for helping me, I usually walk down stairs but I guess today's the exception," Annabelle laughed softly at her fall while glancing at the staircase. Looking back at Troi she realized she didn't even know her rescuer's name, "Oh! Excuse me," Annabelle thrust out her right hand, "My name is Annabelle, I'm new to this school..." |

"Troi Alegheri," he smiled back to her, his face displaying both amusement and concern, "It is indeed a great pleasure to make your aquaintance. I also am new to this academy." Noticing her several bruises, and her cradled arm, Troi's tone changed to one of genuine concern "are you hurt? If so, do allow me to aide you as best I can. Please, let not yourself be embarassed, for we all make mistakes and miscalculations." He moved to look at her arm, which from the looks of it seemed to be hurt, yet he was no expert so didn't know whether or not any serious injury had occurred. |

Annabelle was taken aback by his manner of speech and smiled as she watched him observe her throbbing arm. "Believe me the pleasure is all mine! I have met few as gentlemanly as you! If you hadn't come along I would probably still be lying right here." Annabelle glanced down at where she had been lying to see that dreadful piece of paper right next to her. "Ah-ha!" Annabelle nearly shouted as she bent down to snatch the paper from the floor, unfortunately as she did this her head banged into Troi's since he was still inspecting her arm. |

Troi almost blushed at her compliment, but he witheld his cheeks from flushing. "I'm hardly the gentleman. I only feel obligated to treat such a lady with the respect she deserves." He was still concerned with her arm, but she didn't appear to be hurt seriously, "You seem to be of strong blood to not be at all impaired from such a fall- OW!" Their heads collided, and made a sound not unlike coconuts hitting each other. "For what reason did you make such a motion!?" Troi exclaimed, rubbing his head. |

Her right hand flew to her head, "Oh my goodness! I am really sorry! That's what I was chasing," Annabelle threw an evil glare at the paper, "when I tripped and fell down the stairs. I can't believe how clumsy I am today!" Troi was still rubbing his head when she looked at him, now her turn to be concerned, "Are you alright?" Annabelle laughed lightly, "I've made a fine mess of both of our first days! I hope you can forgive myself and my new found clumsiness...” The concern never really leaving her facial expression even as she smiled. |

"Absolutely, absolutely," he assured her, sympathetically, "I'm fine, please don't worry. You however, m'lady, apparently find an impossibility in avoiding injury." He smiled and looked at the small red mark on her forehead, he slowly raised a hand and rubbed it, "Yet, I think you'll most certainly be fine," he paused, "and please, our meeting could hardly be considered a mess. No, indeed it couldn't be anything farther." |

Feeling the color rising to her cheeks as her concern lifted, her whole expression lighting up in her smile, Annabelle ducked under Troi's outstretched hand and sidestepped him. Scooping up his bag with her right arm Annabelle replied, "I believe you were on your way to your room before I fell out of now where. Please allow me to escort you up the steps I have been so well acquainted with." Annabelle took a step toward the stairs, pausing for Troi's response. |

Troi smiled at her eagerness, but he took his bag from her hand. "You're not obliged to do any such thing as carrying my bags," said he, kindly, "Please, allow me to do so. However, do feel free to join me as I head to my room... I've not yet been there, and I am quite fond of company at all times." |

Barking came from out the room as a wolf came in to the room with cards covered in laminated plastic in her mouth wagging her tail and barking as she pinned the boy down whimpering and wagging her tail. |

Troi saw the large dog enter the room from the corner of his eye, and at first went for his revolver. The sight of such a wild animal, running at him, gave him the thought that he was being attacked. As the wolf brought him to the ground, he drew his gun, but witheld from the trigger as he saw that it was friendly. From the ground he looked up to Kara, "Is this beast a friend to you, or does it approach us from the wild?" |

"Uh.." Troi wasn't exactly sure what to make of this unexpected girl/wolf, and her forward personality, "Thank you, very much," he said, in a puzzled voice while he watched her turn back into the canine, "I've always been a fan of sushii." |

With a burst of blazing speed, Troi snapped his hand out of the way, "Easy, there," he told the girl, "we just spoke together, remember? I have no intent to harm you, I was just startled by your entrance, at first." He put the gun away, hoping that she'd be satisfied. Troi looked to Kara, shrugging his shoulders, not knowing what to make of the situation. He looked down to the wolf, knowing that it was also a girl, "now if you'll excuse us, we were about to head up to our rooms..." |

As Annabelle opened her mouth to respond to Troi a larger then normal dog/wolf came tearing down the hallway towards Troi and herself. Then in no time at all the big dog had tackled Troi and found it self face to face with a revolver that Troi had pulled outta nowhere. "Is this beast a friend to you, or does it approach us from the wild?" To this Annabelle just shrugged, her right hand flying to cover her smile and hopefully keep in the laughter that was trying to escape her. Then the wolf/dog transformed into a girl..."Nope I am however here to welcome you to AHS. "The cards were invitations forlunch at a sushi bar. "Wo0uld you like to join me?" "oh and I am also from Suzaku,I am Sara hitori." And I made you each a boxed lunch and some cupcakes and muffins."she smiles and turns back into a wolf yipping and wagging her tail. Annabelle had never seen anything like this, she'd read about transforming but had never witnessed it. In response to this her eyes went wide. "Uh...Thank you, very much, I've always been a fan of sushii." said Troi while Annabelle started giggling uncontrollably, trying her hardest to stifle the onslaught, at Troi's expression and the array of odd events that had all come from a simple gust of wind. Then the wolf/girl leapt at Troi's hand that was wrapped around the revolver. "Easy, there," he told the girl, "we just spoke together, remember? I have no intent to harm you, I was just startled by your entrance, at first." Turning to look at Annabelle then down again at Sara, "now if you'll excuse us, we were about to head up to our rooms..." Annabelle looked down at Sara with a smile, "It was very nice to meet you, my name is Annabelle! I'll see you at lunch then, I've never had sushi," Annabelle smiled mischievously at Troi then lightly tapped his nose and ran toward the stairs, making sure not to bump her left arm on anything, yelling over her shoulder, "Tag your it!" OOC((I'm so sorry I took so long! I had band camp from 2 to 7...very busy! Sorry!)) |

Troi took on a look of humorous, and sarcastic shock, "How dare you!!!" He yelled, and ran after her up the stairs, "just wait until I've caught up, to you!" He wasn't far behind her, when they both reached the top of the staircase. "Now, it's you!" he said, as he lightly tapped her arm, and bolted past her down the hall, searching for his room number whilst running. At the end of the hall, he found his dorm and rested at the doorway, leaning on the wall. Troi waited for AnaBelle to catch up, slightly breathless, and laughing nearly uncontrollably. "Speed, isn't your strong suit either!" He called to her, watching as she continued towards him. |

Annabelle laughed as she leaped up the stairs three at a time and even while running down the hall, thus hindering her speed. Although she knew that even in a race where she was not to laugh, Troi would still beat her. Jogging the last couple of yards to the end of the hall and Troi, Annabelle leaned against the bit of wall next to Troi's newly found door. "You just wait till we find a suit that does fit me!" She waved her index finger at him and chuckled between slightly deep breaths. Letting her arms fall to her sides, "Where did you come from anyway?" Annabelle asked, curiosity taking control of her as it so often did. |

Troi laughed with her as she caught up, "I'm sure there are a million ones that do," said he, while he searched for the key to open the door. Within minutes it was found. He opened the door, and wanting to be amusingly mysterious he said, "I came from the enrollment building, where else?" Troi held the door open for Annabelle, "Join me?" asked he, in hopes of good company. |

"Join me?" asked Troi Annabelle smiled, "I would be honored." By this time Annabelle wasn't leaning against the wall any more and executed a perfect bow for her lack of a dress/skirt. As she was walking past Troi into the room she referred to his secretive comment, "Dare I ask from where you came before you encountered the enrollment building?" Annabelle walked over to the dresser and hopped up on it, swinging her feet slightly, "Or shall I have to pry things out of you?" Smiling as one of her eyebrows lifted in amusement. |

"Oh you meant where I came from before AHS," Troi said, in mock realization, "In that case, the train station." He laughed and followed her into the room. He flicked on a few lights, and was rather dissappointed with the drab conditions of the place, it did after all, look like quite the college dorm room. "I don't mind being pried," responded he to her secondary statement, in a suggestive way, smiling while he did so. Troi threw his bag on the bed, and walked to the fridge, which had absolutely nothing in it, a fact which he was dissappointed to discover. |

Annabelle's head dropped, her chin touching her chest, shaking her head as she laughed lightly. Looking back up at Troi with a sly smile, "I'll take that as a challenge and since you have openly given me permission you just made my job more complicated," Annabelle thought a moment, "Well, I came from a very musical part of England. Now tell me, what was it like growing up in the trainstation? Or was there a place you called home before your stay there?" |

"A home a place where one feels comfortable, and safe" Troi replied, "my house wasn't nearly a place like that..." He sighed, and looked up at her from a nodded head. "Family members, my older step-brother, really never made it such a place..." He sat down on the bed, across from her, "Ireland, if you must know," said he, "Not too far from your home, I'd assume." |

Hearing what Troi had said, Annabelle's feet slowly stopped swinging and no trace of a smile could be found. "How long did you live there? I know that if I was in that type of environment I would definitely try to get out, or at least stay away from it as much as possible." Being overcome with a strong sense of empathy, Annabelle had only read about such horrible circumstances. A black hole opened up in her mind as she imagined a childhood without her big brothers or the music... |

Troi looked up at her, deciding that she could handle the seriousness which he was about to reveal. "I left shortly after my father perished, and immediatly after my step brother met his death, at my hand." He wasn't sure of what her reaction would be, after hearing such; that he was, in fact, a murderer. He knew, however, that his step brother did not die without just cause. |

Annabelle's eyes widened in surprise at Troi's response, "Well, that is not what I had expected to hear," looking down at the floor between the two she thought about this. "May I ask what brought this outcome?" "It seems that you really wish to know all that there is t know about me, eh?" Troi said, temporarily broken out of his temporary introversion and decided to be as forward with her, as he could. "Saul and I were never friendly, he always resented me actually. I was better in school, and accomplished more in life. Yet, he was the athlete, bigger and stronger than me, and about 7 years my senior." Troi sighed, reliving the incident in his head, "So when he found out that I was getting all of my father's assets in the will, and he was getting nothing, he became engraged. He found that out before I did, and the night which he did find out, he went into a drunken craze. He caught me by suprise, and before I knew it, I was lying on the terrace of our estate, half consious and soaked in gasoline. It was him or me..." Troi paused, noticably shaken, and took a moment to collect himself, "He threw down the lighter, but, I managed to make his attack backfire. He caught aflame, and ran crazily, falling to his death." Troi paused again, this time not confident in himself at all, "I wasn't at all unscathed, however." Troi lifted the front of his shirt, revealing his stomach, and lower chest. His torso was scarred severely from burns. It wasn't discolored, just horribly scarred, "I spent three months in a burn unit, recovering. Saul was dead before he hit the ground, or so say the Doctors," Troi finished, and hung his head, "Like I said... it was him or me." |

Annabelle stood up and swiftly crossed the floor separating herself and Troi. Lifting his head up to face her with her hand under his chin, Annabelle smiled warmly before she bent down and gave him a quick hug then retreated back to her previous spot on the dresser across from him. Giving a small smile and making eye-contact she spoke softly, "I don't think you've had one of those in a long time..." Annabelle turned her head to look out of the window and continued talking in a more serious tone of voice, "I would not have wished what you have experienced on my worst enemy... You need to stop viewing it that way. He advanced and you defended yourself, from the little time I've known you I can't see you wishing death on anyone. An accident brought about by his jealousy, in my eyes you are innocent, if that counts for anything." Looking back at Troi Annabelle smiled, "Besides, you're here now! Hopefully this will become your new home or at least come closer then Ireland." Then as a second thought Annabelle added, "Thank you for sharing your story, I would have never guessed the trials you've had to face so early in your life!" Annabelle thought for a second. "How old are you anyway?" |

Troi embraced her, and was almost sad to see her go back to her place on the dresser. He listened intenetly to what she had to say, "Perhaps you're right, I don't know... maybe this will become my new home, it's hard to say. Such a strange, and unfamiliar place, hardly looks like somewhere I could call home, yet we will see." He answered her question, "I am 17, and yourself?" |

"Wow! I didn't think you were 17!" Annabelle laughed then remembered she was supposed to respond. "I just turned 15 not too long ago! Getting to come here and my flute were my birthday presents!" Giving Troi a quizzical look she asked, "On the subject of being here, what is your power? I haven't been able to talk to any one else so I don't know the full extent of the powers here! I had no idea people could actually shapeshift until I saw Sara!" Annabelle waited for Troi's response eagerly, her feet had started to swing slightly again as they dangled about an inch or two above the floor. |

"Yes, people say that I'm younger than I look." He smiled, his mood slightly happier than earlier. "My powers, are nothing special, really. I have the ability to absorb information from inanimate objects, like books or computers. All I have to do is place my hand on the object, and in seconds I will aquire all the information it contains." He paused, thinking of how to describe his other power, "Also, I can detect soundwaves, I can feel them as they reach me, however minute they are. It's almost like radar, I guess." |

Annabelle's jaw dropped, she was just flat out floored by Troi's powers! "What do ya mean 'nothing special'! That is so awesome!" Staring wide eyed at Troi she thought about her library in England. Turning her head to the side, "Think of all the time I've wasted reading and rereading books compared to you!" She said more to herself then to Troi. Continuing to look at various places around the room while using her hands to try and communicate her question, "How do you learn the information, I mean do you read the book mentally like every sentence just shows up in your head and you read it without seeing it? Or do you just..." Annabelle was completely stumped, her gaze falling on Troi once again. "You have not seized to amaze me since I almost fell on you!" Annabelle exclaimed, one of her eyebrows raising, a look of shock on her face as a smile still lingered on her lips, mostly the thought of his experiences and powers blowing her away. |

"I never really thought it as something incredible, I" replied Troi, stunned at her statement. "I just take it in, and know it... there's no real learning phase," Troi thought for a moment, "It's just instant. I know it as you know your name. You don't remember learning it, you just always have. Understand what I mean?" "But really," Troi replied modestly, "I'm hardly the amazing person, you need not be so impressed." He was taken aback by her saying so, and blushed a little from the attention she was giving him. |

Annabelle listened attentively and nodded as Troi explained what she had failed to understand properly. As he continued she brought one of her legs up, wrapping her arms around it. Setting her head on her knee she maintained eye contact, fascinated at how his power worked. "But really," Troi replied modestly, "I'm hardly the amazing person, you need not be so impressed." he blushed as he finished. Bubbling over in giggles at seeing Troi flush, Annabelle's head fell off the side of her knee, her mass of untied hair engulfing her face, masking her expressions. Throwing her head back to clear her hair from her face she tried to calm down but didn't succeed in stopping her laughing completely. "I'm so sorry! I didn't explain myself! I was the second assistant librarian in the library back in England! I spent much of my free time there, I'm a bit of a bookworm..."pausing to take a deep breath calming her laughter down to a smile, Annabelle looked at Troi again. "That is why I envy your power so much. How did you find out about each of them? I thought I nearly killed one of my brothers but my father knew better..." her eyes dancing with the laughter that would have escaped her if she had allowed it to, she could laugh about that experience now. |

Troi was greatly amused by Annabelle's laughter, and he joined her by laughing as well. "I supposed that working my power would be useful in a library," said he, through slight chuckles. Yet, her question brought about another bad memory, he sighed and looked up at her. "I found out that I could absorb information as I was about to be burned..." he paused, and dramatically spoke, "Saul was going to burn my father's will along with me, so he threw it on top of me. When it landed in my hands, I instantly knew that I had recieved his fortune..." He trailed off, hating the money he had recieved for the damage it had caused him. "As for my power of feeling soundwaves, I have no idea how I aquired it, but I discovered it while I was in the hospital." |

Annabelle's eye's filled with worry at hearing Troi recalling that dreadful night on account of her curiosity...again. "I can't seem to get us or at least keep us on a good subject can I?" She replied with a regretful smile. "So...what's sushi taste like? I've never eaten it, its raw fish or something like that right? Ewww...” Annabelle’s nose scrunched up after thinking about raw fish. "The extent of my sea food experiences reaches to fish sticks! How about you? Wait...can I ask that?" Annabelle's eyebrows raised, she bit her lip and crossed the fingers that Troi couldn't see. |

Troi sighed, "Sorry, I seem to be hindering the mood," He smiled, weakly. He thought about her question, "Sushi, isn't the best of foods in the world," he replied, "certainly not something to go out of your way for." He wasn't a particular fan of the food, "but yes, it is raw fish, probably the worst kind of seafood there is, unfortunately it's pretty popular around these parts..." He trailed off, bored with the conversation. "You know," he noted, "I've revealed much about my own life to you, while hearing little in return." Troi smiled, taking a new interest in the conversation, "Where did you learn of your powers, and what are they, exactly?" |

Annabelle smiled for she could recall this with humor now, then it was quite frightening. "My story and powers are so boring compared to yours! Don't fall asleep on me!" she paused before going on. "While working at the library I often ran across books concerning magic, not fictional books. My father is also a meta-human so I liked to entertain the thought that I was one day to find that I myself was also a meta-human, one that could perform magic," Thinking of how childish she had been, pretending like that... "In one of these books I found that there was an almost forgotten form of performing magic was through music, both of my parents drilling that subject into my willing mind. So, I learned everything there was to learn about performing a minor binding spell that I had found. Intending to use it on one of my brothers during one of our wrestling matches, hoping to win for the first time," Annabelle smiled ruefully. "So when I got home on the day I had plotted to use it, I decided to practice just outside the house, so as to not screw up." "I ended up actually casting the spell and paralyzing my brother for a moment while he was walking around the house. He fell flat on his face! Anyway, I heard him scream from outside, I nearly had a heart attack I was so scared I had hurt him. I found him getting off the floor as he tried to explain to me why he had fell. The unintentional casting sapped up all my energy and the realization that I had actually cast the spell...well, I kinda blacked-out," feeling the color rise slowly to her cheeks, Annabelle looked to the window, not knowing if she was capable of maintaining eye contact at the moment. "I woke up three days later...I can perform magic through music mainly, although I suspect I can also use incantations and symbols if I tried but I haven't really tried it. The short explanation is that I'm kinda a musical witch..." At this Annabelle could have kicked herself, with the lack of a mirror she was sure she was as red if not redder then a cherry. "My brothers gave me a broom for my birthday," she murmured as her nervous smile bordered shyness. Then almost instantly an evil grin took over her embarrassed expression, "I'm going to spell it to fly so I can scare 'em!" she threw her head back as she playfully cackled wildly. |
