Faria struggled with a fish, tying it to the end of a string.
So far in training techniques she'd tried the gravity chambers, monsters in the woods and an unlucky tree. She'd have killed herself in the gravity chambers if it weren't for a couple of other students who happened by. She'd failed at finding ANYTHING in the woods except a prankster and a wolf-girl, both students at the school. And the tree... heh, the tree was just skrewed. Not much training in that encounter, though, and she felt a tad regretful for having attacked it in the first place.
So far in her training practices, she hadn't found anyone to spar with. It frustrated her a bit, sparring would be such a better way to train than this, but oh well.
Now, her next training idea was this. She'd spent her day, since early in the morning, catching fish in the shadow of the waterfall. It hadn't been an easy task, for it was now in the late afternoon and she was bit worn out now. But she thought that could probably count as training, considering she had no fishing pool and it took forever to just find the fish. Surprising enough to her, she'd been able to catch nine of them. She was going for ten, but after she'd caught the first one she thought herself lucky if she could only catch two!
Now all of her victim fish were tied upside-down, dangling from tree branches nearby. So far this appeared to be a good idea to train for attacking moving targets. Every so often a fish would flail out, sending it swinging. A moving target that she couldn't control, just like any enemy she might fight, minus the attacking back part.
She drew her sie from the dirt nearby. She wasn't wearing her boots today, deciding that her Chucks would be better for this, and she lunged at the hanging fish.
Before she could reach them, though, the nearest fish flapped it's tail, sending it right smack into her face. Faria shrieked in surprise. She swung out her right sie, blade forward, and nicked it's fin. She stared at it's gaping mouth for a moment, the fish looking so dumb, hanging there gasping for air, before she slashed down with her left blade, backwards in this hand, and cut through the middle of the fish diagonally.
She sneezed from the fishy smell. She took both her blades in her left hand and pawed at her face with her right trying to get the smell off. So gross!
She sighed, looking at the other hanging fishes. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea...?
