Keiko, may this all be in your memory. I couldn't bring your change.

Yuki walked quietly along the waters edge, the water washing over his bare feet with each of the small waves coming ashore. His stride was less than steady, waving to and from balance. After a time, he finally found a place a sit. Perched upon a large rock jutting out over the dark waters, he sat staring at the full moon's refection. Several times we thought he could have sworn a face was looking back at him from the waters. Passing it off as his mind playing more tricks, he shifted his gaze to the horizon. In only a few hours, the sun would be rising, shattering the blissful night. The moon's light reflecting off the waters at him, his memories appeared to be doing the same. He kept seeing faces of people he'd met since arriving at this place. He saw so many of the truths he came to depend upon through out his life proven false before his eyes.

He closed his eyes, still seeing the reflections in his mind. The face of one person seemed to be appearing over and over. A girl. One that he seemed to not have been able to get out of his mind since meeting her that day in the gardens. She was the first person to really treat him like an actual person since his father passed away. Plenty of other people had since coming here, but the thought of her just couldn't seem to leave him alone.

He next saw the face of the girl he had met in the Underground. He wondered if she took in personal when he ran. What was he supposed to do? That sort of reaction to his scars... What kind of a person wouldn't run from him? Let alone find them attractive? He still shuddered at the thought and pushed it from his mind.

Taking a deep breath of the cool night air, Yuki stood up on top of the rock. Stumbling at first, he managed getting up right before hopping off onto dry sand, his chains jingling harmlessly as he landed. Everything was so calm this night, save maybe his thoughts. Not bothering to take his clothes off he waded a short ways out into the water, stopping when it came up to his waste. His own rippled reflection stared back at him from the water's surface.

He sighed heavily and then pulled back his hair, revealing the abomination of an eye he was blessed with against his will. The scar running down from it was scarcely visible in the shadowed reflection, but his eye... It just stared back, reminding him of all the torment it caused him. Normal schools, bitch mother... all of those memories returned to him. In his minds eye, it was their reflection he was seeing in the water. A cringed expression worn upon his face, he tried to bear, hate building up behind his flesh. And with one loud shout, "FUCK YOU!" he slammed his fist into water distorting the reflections until he realized they weren't really there.
