What do angels do when they have nothing to do.? Saori wish she new the answer tot hat. If she had an answer, maybe she wouldn’t’ have been stuck sitting alone on the roof. The school had changed and shifted as time went by. There were new faces, new students, and new problems. All of these things she had chosen to distance herself from. It was bothersome to get to know someone, just to lose contact and have to memorize a brand new face. She really didn’t belong out among these people and this world. She was a being of nature, of light, she was something ethereal. Saori sat as still as a corpse on top of the railing of the roof top. She was no longer the naïve angel that wondered on to the campus sometime ago. No longer did she fear this or that. She was no living on campus, and she even had her very own dorm. Nope, she was no longer that same . She sat with her legs loosely crossed. It was warm out, so she wore a simple gray dress that flowed down to her ankles. She found it was easier to wear gray then it was white. Sometimes white, along with her pale skin, was too much of a contrast with her midnight black angel wings. Her wings, which were almost as large as her body were comfortable at her back. The deep black seemed to catch the light of the moon and reflect it. Noticing this, she cast her silver gaze up to the orb hanging on the dark sky amongst the stars. Her silver eyes began to slightly glow as she did. Sometimes, she missed being how she was. Her white hair seemed to be the color of tinsel under this light. It picked up traces of moonlight and held tightly to them. Instead of the long braid she usually wore, she let the white hair fall loosely about her body. If she had been standing, it would have fell to her ankles, maybe even longer. Since she was sitting on the railing, it just fell down to the in loose waves too the roof floor. From behind, her hair looked like captured moonlight, an ocean of wavy moonlight In her arms, she held on loosely to the little doll by the name of scarlet . Its blond hair was done up in pony tails, and it was dressed in a black Victorian dress. She was having her own mental conversation with the seemingly lifeless doll. |

Adam silently walked onto the roof of the of the school, his mind in turmoil. He had began to experiance things that he had never felt before. He had no idea what they were or what they meant or how to interpret them. At least this side of him didn't. However, another part of him had awoken along with these things plaguing him. If he didn't know any better he'd call them emotions but, he had felt nothing his entire life. Emotions were a weakness and Adam had no weaknesses. He had on his Mentalist uniform. The black brimmed hat, back sleeveless T-Shirt ehich concealed the black Kevlar vest underneath. He wore a long black trenchcoat that swept the ground which partially concealed his two shoulder holsters containing 9mm pistols. His plack jeans also concealed to ankle holsters containing another two 9mm pistols. He had his customary swords strapped to his hip. Standing at 6ft 2" with all his weaponry he looked quite menacing. However, the fact that he kept shaking his head trying to figure out what was happening detracted from this. He looked up to see a winged girl on the railing above him. Something with in him stirred and the Yin side of his his Yin-Yang birthmark on his forehead took over. He felt sympathy for the girl for some reason. Why was she all alone up here. He jumped up grabbing the railing and pulling himself up he sat next to her and remain silent for awhile before saying. "Beautiful night is it not?" A small smile was on his face as he looked up at the moon. |

She hadn’t hear him approach, she was too absorbed in to the natural magic of the night. If she had an empath power, she might have been able to feel his turmoil from before he even came upon the roof. Sadly, she had not been blessed with that power. If she had known that he was holding some kind of sympathy for her, she would have made sure that none was needed. She may have seemed solemn, but she was simply content.. Different but content. When the young man hoisted himself up on to the railing next to her, she didn’t turn her silver glowing eyes to look at him. Part of her wasn’t even startled, It was going to be sooner or later that another student was going to find their way up here. At the corner of her gaze, she could see his smile. That alone brought a small one to her own lips. “I have seen nights that would make this one pale in comparison.” She hadn’t said it to be offensive or cocky, she was just stating a fact. Finally, she turned her gaze to him, and she felt the light silver glow of her eyes begin to dim down. There was no doubt that he wouldn’t be able to recall other kinds of night because he was probably too young. She couldn’t complain though, among other angels she was just a child. “But this one is beautiful too.” She said with a content smile. “ Any night is, in its own way.” This she knew to be truth, she was after all, a virtues. She was an angel the elements and of nature. As she looked at him, she wondered whatever happened to her dearest wolf friend, Athens. Her smile did not change, but a bit of sadness could be seen in the expression in her eyes. Looking at him reminded her of all the people she had lost contact with. She then gazed down toward the ground. If one fell from the roof, it was a long way down. It was amazing how many students didn’t fear falling. Many of them were students that didn’t have the ability of flight. “You don’t fear you might fall?” |

"Why should I fear something I knew would not happen. I've spent my majority of my life training at night on rooftops higher than this. As for this night not being the most beautiful I must agree. Those in my profession rarely work in daylight and I have seen thousands of nights." He looked down at the ground below them and smiled. "In fact it would probably be better for hundreds of people if I did fall from her and die, that way their own lives may see a natural death." He turned his eyes to hers, although he spoke in a calm slightly cheerful voice his eyes were hard, harsh and cold. No emtions showed, the eyes of a true killer. "Your not from this world are you, or at least not this part, you have a aura around you which doesn't quite fit that of the others around her and I doubt you were created in a lab." Adam sighed and stood up on the thin rail. He didn't even wobbled his training had given him an excellent sense of balance though nothing inhuman. He looked down and saw the doll he smiled more although it didn't register in his eyes. His Yang side was registering everything for later if she ever became a target. |

She listened silently to his response. So he was another one of those children that never really had a normal childhood. These times at this high school were suppose to be there time to be teenager ,still children. However, for this school that wasn’t the case for so many of its students. Many had to grow up way too early. Many had to step in to adulthood way before there time. As she sat there, she turned her gaze back to him. She was looking at him, and couldn’t stop trying to guess what his age was. Was he 16, maybe 17. It was sad to hear someone so young talk like that. To hear someone in high school speak of ending another’s life or his own. From the look in his eyes, she knew he spoke the truth. In fact, she was almost tempted to tell him that if he felt that way, then he should jump and see what happens. She knew very well that miracles were possible. In fact, she had granted many herself. If he was not meant to die, then surely something would intervene to stop him from hitting the pavement below. Even though she thought these thoughts, she didn’t voice them. She didn’t have time to speak them anyway. She unconsciously cocked her head to the side as she silver eyes went back to the cold hard stare of his. She had a simple answer to his question. “I am apart of this world, but I am not human, and I am not artificial.” She looked up at him as he stood. He was only human, or something close to it. With the slightest movement from her large wings she could have set him off balance. She could have sent him tumbling to the ground, but that was not in her right. She suddenly became very aware of the black wings at her back, and made sure to keep them very still. “Why are you different? I have met many human, and many other species. But they live out there life’s how is normal to them. Human going through childhood in to adult hood. Only at this school have a run in to so many students with such diverse histories. “ Basically she was inquiring about his history without directly asking it. |

"Me, I'm not human, I'm not even Meta, I'm a composite taken from the blood of all those with elemental control. Designed to have power over the elements and to save humanity. To stop natural disasters and preserve lives. Each part of my body is marked by a different element. Only the scientist taking care of me were assassinated and I was taken in by those who had killed them. Raised to kill and take the lives I was designed to preserve. I had no emotions, a part of me still doesn't. I've been doing assignments for years now and taken the lives of hundreds if not thousands of people. I've stared death in the eye and survived and dealed out death to those I was paid to kill. I became one of there best assassins until my powers went on the fritz." Adam shrugged the trenchcoat off and threw his hat down beside it. Exposing his arms to the night air. His right had a birthmark symbalising fire and his left one symbolising ice. When his hat was removed the Yin-Yang birthmark was exposed the Yin side most prominant. "My powers failed and I was almost killed when, however, when the flames of my right died the ice of my left was born. Now I have control over two element and there are several more that I still have no control over." Adam looked at his hands as if seeing the bloodstained on them by all those he had killed and a sadistic grin flickered across his lips. |

Saori listened intently, She had heard of such things, but never met such a being. In her own opinion, it was an abomination to create something that would not have been created naturally. Maybe that is why she detested the science of this generation. The scientist of today were all too concerned with creating things of destruction, or things that should have never existed in the first place. It was because of them that the world they lived in suffered so much. Saori simply sighed as she kept all of these thoughts to herself. She was in no place to judge this boy near her. He was living and breathing now, he was his own being.. Even if it wasn’t done naturally. Being so, she would judge him for being him… and nothing more, nothing less. “If you know what you were designed and created for, why not live by the path that was the reasoning for your existence. Surely, you have a choice in what you do, and what you become in the future. Or, do you chose the life of an assassin, over the life of a savior. If you have a choice, why chose to take life when you were brought to life to save it.” Saori shrugged her shoulder, Human or not, he seemed to similar to one for her to seem him any differently.. “If you are proud and content with your life, I am not one to intervene.” Saori watched as his coat fell to the ground. She instantly saw the marks . Soon after she saw them, he explained them. “Elemental control is a great thing.” She had her own power, but none of them were truly elemental, not yet. Her had more to do with the universe , and the stars. |

"I born with no emotions, I didn't have any thoughts on either path. I didn't feel anything. No remorse, regret, sympathy, sorry, etc. I did what I was trained to do, I didn't care, I could have saved, but, I was trained to kill and that's what I did. I never questioned what I did, because to question something I would have had to feel something about it and I didn't. Even now I fight the emotions I've began to feel, because the guilt I have is overwhelming. The mark on my head now has a greater relevance than ever. There are two sides to me, the assassin and the teenager. I certainly am questionning who I trly am. However, unfortunatly I'm not the one in control most of the time." He turned his body and looked up at the silvery orb in the sky, the light glinting off his two pistols in thier shoulder holster. A tear rolled down the cheek that was turned away from the girl. The pain he could feel from everything he'd done was immense. As he looked up into the sky, ice formed on his left hand creating three spikes. He looked down at them and shook his head. "Whether my powers were meant to save or not they are more deadly than anything else." He settled back down, sitting on the railing the emotional turmoil was almost crippling but, nothing showed on his face and his eyes remained the harsh, emotionless orbs they had been all his life. |

With his little speech she began to ponder. What idiot had created something that was meant to save lives, but created it so that it had no emotions. It was a travesty that he had gone so long without feeling the simplest, yet most complex of emotions. Since they had created him without emotions, without remorse.. It was as if they were created him for the very purpose to kill and not save life. Saori kept her gaze on him, looking at him as if he was some great intrigue. “So you could not feel emotion before, but can now. You feel the guilt of past actions that you had no way of truly judging. You really didn’t have a conscious to stop you, or tell you that it was wrong. “ A part of her didn’t want to comfort him. He had taken lives, it was only fair that he feel the guilt behind those actions. Even if there was away to take that overwhelming guilt away from him, she wouldn’t have done it. It wouldn’t have nee right. “Now that you can feel. Or at least feel slightly, since you can feel the weight of your past actions, would you willingly continue to walk that path of an assassin. You have reason to question your actions now, so what do you chose to do from this point forward?” She was truly interested in what his answer may be. He had claimed he lived the life of an assassin cause he had no reason to question it. Which probably meant he was some kind of killing machine, or close to one. The conscious could be a powerful thing, if a being had one. However, now he could feel something about it, so would he try to change or continue down that horrible road for some other reason unknown to her. She noticed the tear that fell from his eyes. This was no show, he was really suffering because of things in his past. “Deadly or not, powers are only what you make of them.” She said as she lowered her gaze to him when he sat back down. No that he was sitting, she turned her body more to face him. As she did, she readjusted the large black wings on her back. |

"I'm afraid I don't have any say in what I do in the future. I'm the Yang side of my personality. Hidden away in the darkness, never to see the light of day. The weaker of the two. The one in control of my future is the Yin side, the one that takes the majority of the control. That part of me doesn't feel and hence doesn't question my path. I, as the Yang if you will, only began to emerge when we arrived. I am gaining strength but, until the Yin and Yang are in balance nothing will happen and I'll remain devided. It's quite logical in a way, surround by nothing but darkness the Yin became all powerful, but, here where light can penetrate the Yang is beginning to emerge." Adam sighed, he spoke the truth but, that didn't make it any easier to admit to himself. |

“I don’t think that anyone should predict what the do in the future. However, the choices that you make today, and in the present can effect what does happen to you in the future. Even if the majority of you does not question the path you take, a minority does. A small fraction of you feels and questions what you do, and have don in the past. If there is even that, there is the option to make a choice about what you do with your life. Just because one out weighs the other does not mean you should just easily give in to the part that has the most influence on you.” Saori took her silver gaze off of him and looked up at the moon. If he was set to do something, nothing she would say to him to night would be able to change his mind. Even knowing this, she felt that her words of wisdom were necessary. Maybe he would remember them one day in the future, and they would come in handy. “You sounds discouraged that the light is beginning to penetrate your Yang half.” She sighed. If he was feeling half as much as guilt as she thought he was, she couldn’t blame him. Even so, that was no reason to run away from it. “Though you have gained the pain of guilt with gaining emotions. There are feeling much more pleasant that you can now experience.” |
