Adam walked into his pristine room. He had spent minimal time in here, having spent most nights training out in the forest, keeping his skills sharp. Few probably knew he was part of this house, if any. The room was white and clinical, no life in it at all. The bed spread was white, the walls were white, the cabinets and draws, everything was a cold emotionless white, which contrasted with the black T-shirt and Jeans Adam currently wore. However, his eyes were as cold, emotionless and as lifeless as the room itself.

He walked over to a wardrobe and opened the door, it was filled with knives, three swords and a abundance of guns and ammo. There was his Mentalist clothes hung up in the centre of all the weapons of death, the most deadly thing in there. More deadly than any of the weapons, because once Adam donned that and was on assignment death was a certainty, whether his own or his target's.

He turned leaving the wardrobe open ajar and the the entrance's to his room open for a quick exit if he needed to make one. Adam having been trained as an assassin his whole life was well aware of their tricks and knew how best to avoid making himself an easy target.

(It was a funny thing... Up until now, she had not bothered to check into her room. It had been here and available for her, but she had not bothered to go about taking her scant possessions and delivering them unto this room, which didn't seem to be any more interesting than the last one. The person in question that now walked the halls was a girl of 17, though she seemed considerably more mature by demeanor...and was athletically-tough besides. She wore gray pants, a black sleeveless shirt, and no shoes. Her hair was brown and her eyes bright green. The possessions in question? A few Japanese swords and throwing weapons. Her appearance and demeanor was clearly more than meets the eye, so what was she about? Of course, neverminding that, she passed a room with a door slightly ajar on the way to her own room and sensed something...)

All in due time.

(A couple rooms down, she opened the locked door - sans key - threw her stuff inside, closed it again, and placed a sign there on the doorknob that said, "DO NOT OPEN, UNDER PENALTY OF DEATH." before going back towards the room she'd sensed something from. There was a sensation in there that was...odd, cold and yet...concealing something. Funny. That's the way she was, in a way. She concealed a nature that was somewhat contrary to her outward appearance. It was then that she realized what this feeling was of. It was something she knew.)

"Aura of an assassin... I'm intrigued now."

Adam sat in the heartless room staring up at the white ceiling. He had sensed the person walk by the door. Assassins always seemed to have a sixth sense for these sorts of things, they could always tell when their own kind were near. He could feel them hovering outside the door now. He looked around the room, he could make a kick exit if he needed to but, for now he was content to just sit there and wait. After a while he said in his emotionless, accentless voice "Well are you going to enter or stand out there all day. I doubt you're here to kill me so what do you want."

(The slightly-ajar door was pushed upon a bit, allowing it to come open slowly was an irritating squeak. She stood there, at the doorway, arms crossed and expression holding a look of interest and a slight smile. There was no indication that she had actually moved to open the door, merely that it did, and that was good enough. Her eyes took in the room, as did her other senses. Yes, the cold feeling definitely came from him, without a doubt.)

"I'm not in the habit of entering another's room uninvited, unless I decide to make special exception. You know, of course, what sort of exception that I speak."

(She began to step inside, clearly also not threatened by the cold-hearted boy who had the feel of an assassin. No, she was not phased. She had had plenty of experience with matters such as these. She spoke her peace, next.)

"I have known plenty of people who call themselves assassins. It is most enlightening to see the genuine article. I'm curious... What brings one such as you to a place like this?"

"A true assassin needs control, I however, lost my control on my last assignment. Hence here I am. I was one of their best, although personally I believe my skill were mediocre at best. Here I am close to potential targets and can learn more about them, as well as gains control over the powers in this man made body." Although he seemed perfectly relaxed and calm he was actually constantly alert. If this girl made any sudden movements he wouldn't hesitate. Same, as he knes, she wouldn't hesitate to kill him if the roles were reversed.

(The girl made no attempts to do anything that would be considered rash. Of course, considering that she had the look and presence of a fellow assassin, it would be likely that any action she took would not be so much as rash, but well-thought-out and decidedly deadly...if that were to be her aim. In this case, she seemed to more interested in gathering information than attacking. Would she use anything she learned against him or...what?)

"My oh my... Will wonders never cease? You mean that you expect to be hired to kill someone here? My condolances for you, then, because there is no worse assignment than having to kill a student here. Even the most harmless of students fail to be executed."

(This was what she called professional advice. Reading between the lines, she would be telling him that this hole is dry. Go fish somewhere else. Still, this curious female wondered about the constructed assassin... Was he truly into this assassin deal? He seemed stuck on the issue of control. Very bad idea. Controlling your emotions is not as easy as going with them in a positive way that benefits the work.)

"I disagree, by the way. A true assassin enjoys their work. Loving the job keeps one from ever having second thoughts or regrets. You think you have control, and then one day, something digs in and undermines the whole mindset. Now...what did you do that you think is so bad? I've been at this for quite some time. I doubt you could surprise me, Mr...?"

"Handle, but, in the business they call me Elemental, I'm part of the Eternity assassin group, raised and trained by their hand from the age of two or so. As for control it is impossible for anyone to control something they never had. I was literally created and have never felt anything that you people refer to as emotions. No the control I lost was over my powers, it almost cost me my life."

Adam raised his right arm and it transformed into flames, his skin, muscle, tendants and final bone vanished from sight as it transformed into flames. "I used to rely on this to inflict pain, as is the perpose of those given the title of Mental within th Eternity group. However, one day the flame died in the middle of a mission." The flames fultered, transforming back into the hand, bone, tenants, muscle and eventually skin reformed. "I was left almost totally defenceless until another of my powers kicked in." Three spikes appeared on Adam left hand formed from ice. "Of course once the Eterian councel heard of what happened I wasn't allowed another assignment until I regained control, hence I'm here." Adam gestured at the room and turned to the girl.

"Very interesting. And I suppose you have no idea what it was that caused such a fault either..."

(It was not a question. His presence clearly stated that he did not have a single clue as to the reasons of his lack of control. Perhaps she was right the first time, in that his lack of emotion, his desire for the kill, killed his fighting power. Or maybe it was something else... The girl took to leaning against the wall near the door, arms crossed. The look in her eyes was not that of a teenager. For every bit as cold as Mr. Handle was, she was equally lacking in that adolescent touch. Too much experience, one could say.)

"Well, Mr. Handle, you seem to have your work cut out for you. I've seen a few cold-hearted assassins before. They do quite well, as I'm sure you would agree. The only downside is the same downside of us all. They find someone better than they are."

(She seemed a little bitter about the last part, about what she had found to have a better hand than her. It wasn't even skill, either. It was just that it had more power, more experience. It wasn't even alive, just existing. Fate was cruel when a thing of pure death tries to claim your life.)
