Faria sat somewhere in the middle of the meadow. Despite the intense heat of the past few days, it was surprisingly cool. She was grateful that the temperature had dropped down so much, or at least for today, not cold, but no exactly hot. Just perfect enough to be sitting outside comfortably without needing her coat. The twilight sky, full of yellows, oranges and pinks, fading off into the purple and blue on the other side of the sky, was splattered with clouds. She always loved the way the sky looked at sunset and then as it faded on into the purple velvet evening sky. Today, sure enough, she wore her purple velvet top. It had no sleeves, but it snugly reached up her neck, ribbon criss-crossing from the bottom of her top to tie at her nape in a delicate knot that, unlike normal ribbon, held rather well. She wore her long skirt of crushed velvet that flowed about her form gracefully whenever she moved, like a soft sea of black night. Conceled underneath her skirt, she wore on her feet her black, calf-length leather boots. On each of her wrists, she wore two black ribbons, whose thickness she loved because of their ability to hide her arms that she hated to look at so much. She sat on her long coat, having brought it along just in case it got cold, but mostly just for something so she wouldn't have to sit in the dirt. She reached out and plucked a small yellow cup shaped flower from its stem. She sniffed at it, but was disappointed to find that it had no smell. Suddenly, a strange idea bubbled up to the surface of her mind. She half smiled to herself at the obsurdity of it, but stragely, she decided to do it. Tossing the yellow flower away, she picked a purple one with a long stem, along with several more long stemmed flowers, colours ranging in purples and blues and maybe a pink one or two. After she'd picked what she could from where she was sitting, she smoothed out her skirt on her coat and dropped the flowers there. She sorted them out by colour, then. Mostly purples matching her skirt, she separated them, grading from blues on the left to pinks and salmon colours on the right. Picking up a purple flower, she used her fingernail to make a small slit at the end of it's stem. She then slipped the stem of a blue flower through the slit of the purple one. She hadn't done this since she was maybe five or six, and it was so childish that she couldn't help but hold her small smile to herself. Haw, maybe this was dumb, but it was kind of fun. She'd never used such beautiful flowers before, having used only the foul smelling weeds that she would find in people's yards and take for her chains. She enjoyed this a lot more. |

The blonde boy wandered about the meadow with no real aim. The day was nice for purposlessly walking about through the nature of the school. It wasn't quite like his home land where being high on the mountain kept the air a bit cooler then the down there low on the earth. He carried a bottle of water bound with a string over his shoulder as he continued on his aimless trek about. Given the temprature, he dressed accordingly, though not much. He was simply adorned in a pair of blue jeans and a denim vest. He wore a pair of black wireframe shades to shield out the bright light of the sun from askewing his vision as went on. He had his red bandana around his head to keep his hair from his eyes. His other hand was plunged into his pocket as he looked around the area. Others seemed to share the sentiment to wander about the meadow in his similar fashion. He noticed a girl playing about with the flowers, a very curious sight given the girls age and attire. Given he didn't have much else to do, he made his way toward the girl as she seemed focused on her flower arranging. "Excuse me miss, having fun with thoes?" He sid before he unslung the water bottle from his shoulder and took a sip. He recapped the bottle and lets it dangle as he looked on at her choice of flowers. |

Faria looked up at the boy, startled, really not expecting anyone. It seemed she did that a lot lately, starting when someone happened by. The school must have a lot more students than she thought. She looked back down at her skirt, studying her small collection of wild flowers and the considerably long chain that she'd created. She returned her gaze to his face and laughed softly, a real smile finding its way to her mouth, something that was actually quite rare for her, but growing more and more common the longer she was at the school. "Actually, I am." She turned back to her flowers, gathering them up and tying her chain together. She set the extra flowers to the side in the plants and stood up, brushing off her skirt with her free hand. In her right hand she held the flowers. She studied them for a moment, wondering what she should do with them. She turned the flowers over in her hands, checking that they were all connected together well. She spoke to him, still looking at her chain of purple and blue flowers. She'd decided not to use the pink ones. "So do you walk in the meadow so late, often?" She hoped she wasn't being so snoopy, having trouble on finding something better to say. True, it did make her curious. Her reason she knew well enough, but his, she was sure, had to be much different, knowing that not many other students were in such a dielema with the school as she was... |

"You might say I do alot of things alot of the time. I like to do many different things." He smiled politlely as he swung the water bottle hack over his shoulder. The hand holding the strong plunged into his pocked as he looked at the girl. He though he most definately an interesting character. He knew people who liked to walk about at dusk hours, but not playing with flowers all alone like this. He found it very odd behavior. He removed his sunglasses from his face and tucked the pair of shades into his chest pocket. "That is an odd question comeing from a girl out here making flower wreaths at this time." He looked out at the sun setting in the sky, he hadn't realized it was getting so late as aimlessly walked, though now he had found himself someone to occupy his time with, at least he hoped he had. This girl seemed a bit peculir, but as he spent time at the school, he began to realize that everyone was peculiar in some way or another. He himself had his own set of issues to deal with. "So I guess I should return your question, do you always play wound with flowers so late?" He smiled at the sudden change of position, though he didn't mean to come off as arrogant, though sometimes he had that habbit. Even so, it seemed a bit hypocratic to ask someone what they were doing out late, while being out late. |

Faria laughed. She didn't think him arrogant at all. Though she had met many arrogant students at this school she hadn't met many with senses of humor, which this guy seemed to have. "No, not really.... But they started begging me to and I couldn't refuse." She smiled again. She knew her sense of humor was pretty lame, but it made her her. She started, realizing she must look really odd to him. She remembered that not everyone had the same fasion sense as her and no one, probably not even the other girls at the school, found such an intrest in flowers as she. Though she didn't go about making flower chains often, and at the moment she felt rather foolish for doing so. She laughed, a little embarassed and offered him the chain. "You want it? It's hand made and I doubt you'll find many others out here just like it. Though, I do think I saw a bird with a beakful of flowers for her nest. I bet her wreath is much better made than mine." A small gust of wind blew by, playing with her hair and tugging lightly at her skirt. Wiping her hair out of her face, she bowed to him politely and introduced herself. "My name is Faria." |

"A slave to the flowers, sounds vaguely powetic if you ask me." He grinned making his little joke. This girl seemed to appriciate his sence of humor, not someone that he often found in many other people. This peculiar girl seemed like someone he could get along with. He looked her over again, her wardrobe odd, different; but then again, so was everything else. He liked weirdness in any case, seeing as he had befriended a wolf girl and a mermaid, this seemed little in comparison. He looked at her oddly fro a moment as the girl offered him her handwoven chain of flowers, he could honestly say that he hadn't recived a chain of flowers before. He simply smiled politely and accepted the gift from the stranger. "Thanks alot, I doubt the bird could have made it this well because... well birds lack opposable thumbs, that may make the difference in the quality of the work." He smiled broadly toward the girl who had so kindly offered him flowers. From the look of the girl at a distance, he wouldn't have taken her the kind with an affinity for flowers, nor the type to joke and be friendly. Books truly couldnt be judged by their covers, nor could girls be judged by their dress. "Nice to meet you Faria, My name is Minoru. Quite pleased to make your aquaintance." |

Faria noticed the boy's looking her over and probably, she knew, amused by her choice of dress. She decided to play along, just for this once. She curtsied to him. "The pleasure is all mine, Minoru." Standing back up, she couldn't help but laugh a little. She normally wasn't this polite, but this guy seemed to be easygoing and would probably catch that. Everyone else she'd met so far seemed to be far to serious for such things and they would probably have really thought her to be from the 16th century or some hidden race who were way behind in modern technology if she'd played along. She knew she wasn't, definately not. She was probably the most normal student at the school. She didn't have any "super powers" or meta-abilities, that she knew of. Or maybe she reaally was the odd one at the school just for that reason? Oh well. "So what brings you out so late anyways? Just an innocent walk in the meadow or some other business?" She didn't mean to be quite so snoopy, but she wasn't the best at coming up with conversation topics. Though, she thought it a safe thing to ask, seeing as he had a water bottle it was probably just a walk. |

"I'm out on the prowl to find beautiful women and wisk them away from all their worries and add them to my beautiful personal harem." The blonde boy tried to keep a straight look on his face as he spoke his little joke, but shortly after he finished his sentece he started to snicker. He was trying to make a joke, but he couldn't keep up his rouse of seriousness. His laughter caused him to double over for a moment, resting his free hand on his knee, but he soon straitned up again, he laughter dieing down, but a smile remaining on his face. "I'm sorry, I couldn't really help myself. I guess I'm just out here for a nice evening walk, though I had started a few hours ago, guess time flies when your not paying attention. Anyway, enough with the formal stuff, I grew up on a mountain with miners, politeness isn't quite a necissity for me." He swung the water bottle down from his shoulder and around over head, catching it out of the air. He quickly spun the top off and caught it in his opposite hand and took another swig from the large container of water. Wipeing any acces moisture from his lips he held the bottle out to the girl, she had given him flowers, the least he could do was offer a drink. "Are you thirsty? I've got enough to share." |

Faria shook her head politely, unable to be even a little rude to him, which wasn't in her nature. Although, she had found his joke to be a little mean... He had appologized, though, so she decided to let it go. "No thank you, I'm alright for now." She smiled. He wasn't too rude himself. Psh, she wasn't gonna give up her manners for someone who respected her as another person. Not that many people were mean to her, but she had encounterd a few students who gave up any sort of respect for others that one could have. She hated people like that and remembered one such encounter she'd had in the forest a while back. He was from a mine, now? That was certainly different. She didn't know of many mines in Japan. "A mine? Where are you from?" Unlike her slight intrest in meta-powers and other races at the school, she was very curious about other places in the world, hating her own home of Japan so much that sometimes she couldn't stand it. But then, there was nothing she could do about that now was there? No, she wasn't old enough to go off on her own, yet. She'd have to live with what she had for now. Though, AHS really wasn't so bad and with all the people from other countries and the lack of other Japanese people like herself, it was almost like she was in a different place... except when she ventured outside the campus into the cities nearby... |

"Actually, I'm from Japan, the town is very small, nearly unheard of. You don't hear of many mines around, but there are a few to be found, somewhere." He gave a slight laugh as he explain his little middle of nowehre on a mountain village. Though it wasn't quite his home any longer, given the fact he was banned from the village. He didn't quite have a problem with it anymore, the school had been good to him thus far. He can't quite think of a bad experience at the school, quite different from his home. "I take it your a local girl?" He said as he took a seat on the grass, he grew tired of standing. He sat with on leg ben, leaning back on his elbows, maybe not the most polite gesture, but such was the way he was brought up. He looked up into the sky as it grew dimmer, one thing he missed from his home was looking at the stars from high on up through the clear sky. they seemed so much closer back then. "You know, you don'y have to keep standing like that. Sit down before your legs fall off." |

Faria smiled and exhaled, a small laugh. She took his suggestion to sit actually quite willingly, having tired from standing herself. She sat back down on her coat, her legs crossed indian-style inside her skirt. She didn't mind how he sat, seeing as it was a more comfortable position than just sitting and it didn't bother her at all. She leaned her elbows on her knees and rested her head on her left hand. She reached out with her right hand to pull leaves off of a nearby flower stem, not really noticing that she did so. She nodded at his comment about her local-ness. "I guess you could say I'm local, as far as Japan goes. Never left Japan, but I'lve lived all over Honshu and a little bit in Hokaido and Kyushu..." Unpleasant memories about her past homes flooded into her head, but she abandoned them quickly. She let the soft colours of the flowers and the fading light of the sunset take control of her mind for the moment. She would NOT let herself think of those things. No, not now when she'd gone the entire day without bothering about them. No, no, no. She'd been alowed to enjoy the beauty of the evening and even made a flower chain. She couldn't remember being so relaxed in so long and she didn't want to let her bitter feelings come back just yet. And besides, she was in the company of another student that really didn't deserve her depression. She needed to think of others a lot more than she had been as of late. Now was as good a time to start as any. |

He held up the flower chain that he had recived, looking it over at its flowing colors of blues and purples. He gently draped it over his other shoulder, free of the water bottle, as not to disturb the chain. It was lovely to look at and it reminded him of the dusky sky, like it was now. He held it up again, comeing it to the darkend portion of the sky and smiled. He draped it back down once again of his shoulder, he didn't get many flowers where he lived, mostly rocks, occasiounly something extravagant would bloom, but rarely if ever. Though there was one thing that he had there that he was sure he wouldn't find laying about on the school grounds, that being diamonds. He missed his home finding the occasional raw diamond in the mine when he explored as a child. "I neve really left the mountainside untill recently, when I was enrolled here, though the choice was sort of a manditory one. Thrown out on my ass...." He trailed off, not that he was mentally reliving the events, but more he didn't feel like boreing the girl with the details of why he was banished from his hometown. He thought of something else to change the subject to quickly. "Thanks again for the flowers, there pretty, like the sky when the sun sets." |

Faria smiled, having no clue that he'd be so pleased with the flowers. A guy who likes flowers... That's someone you don't meet everyday. Well, Taga-chan liked flowers, and Cyan didn't mind them... But the way Minoru talked about them was almost like a poem, well, in a small sort of way. "No problem, I'm glad that you like them." She yawned and looked at the sky again, the clouds mixing together to reflect the colours of the sky. It looked almost like a child's finger painting, but more artist-looking. Strangely, she had no urge to paint it herself, just looking at it was enough for her... She looked back at Minoru, her mind drifting lightly. "You were kicked out? I'm sorry." She thought about that for a moment. She should be a little more grateful now, shouldn't she? At least she'd never been kicked out of her home and could always come back to it. That must suck having no where to return to... But now his home was AHS like her's, right? That was where they belonged now, and the rest of the students as well. This was home, now. |
