(OOC: This is where the Justice of the White Hand saga finally becomes open to everyone. Although Chapter 2 will not last very long, it will be completely open to everyone. Part Two will be open to anyone who participates here, and a select few others who I'm planing on inviting. Iron Angel has granted me temporary control of her character (wait a sec, let's pause on that note and scratch our heads as to what is going to happen now that SD controls a female character...
), and this officially takes place just after the graduation ceremony. If you have anymore questions, just ask, and I shall try to answer... PS: several flashes coming from people who aren't in the courtyard... so don't pretend to know everything that is going on...)Well, looks like everyone has finally graduated, I guess this means a new year is starting. Wonder what Jake is gonna do, I should probably ask him about that... Oh well, at least Teo is still going to be on campus, and I guess Winter is going to be my senior classmate, that should be... interesting. Caleb sat nearby the memorial, actually laying on the ground and leaving his blind eyes open to stare at the sky. He was still in uniform after the graduation. Although during the acutal graduation, he had been thinking constantly of just how soon he could get out of the blasted thing, now for some odd reason it was comfortable. Things were looking up, and going right for him at long last. Perhaps this year the school could evade any massive evil invasions, or the deaths of any more students entirely. Thus far, there was no reason to fear the start of another school year, other than the fact that this would probably be his own final year at AHS. Although he had barely attended classes and managed to loose his vision in the past year, Caleb had still managed to pull mostly good grades. Part of him wanted to know where exactly Eona and Lance were, he was hoping they too would get back to school before it actually formally started again. Caleb sighed, realizing that he had missed the new student games in his one and only chance to play in them... but he didn't much care anyway. Games were something that were on occasion, fun... but right now Caleb could summarize his entire life as fun. Even if killing his brother was a horrible thing, it had stopped Scythexious cold in his tracks. Caleb no longer had to fear about that demon anyway... he knew when the time came he would defeat that dewmon. That was the wonderful thing about destiny, in the end what would happen WOULD happen. His hand felt over to the hilt of his sword, his golden bladed katana named Soulraven. He had been more than happy that lately he did not need it nearly as much as he had over the winter, but still... something was odd today, or at least that was what his inner senses told him when he grabbed at it's hilt. He let go, ignoring whatever part of his brain that had told him about that, and focused instead on thoughts of his friends... After a few minutes of letting his mind wander, he fell asleep. ___________________________________________________________________ Somewhere else in the world... "Excellent work Judha and Gravin, although I will admitt you were a little more brutal than necessary. Getting any information from her is going to be incredibly hard." Although Aaron was speaking of his two subordinants killing a sixteen year old girl, his tone was conversational, as if it was all in a day's worth of work. "Don't pin her death on me Aaron, don't you dare make me into the hunter of little children!" Judha snapped back, his eyes looking as steely grey as ever. He had not come to earth to hunt children, and frankly right now he could not believe that he had been forced into this. Aaron had promised him a world filled with wrecthedly powerful half breeds, not a small child he could step on like a bug. "You did give the order to kill, Judha... You said: Kill the girl, I'll take care of this ogre; rmember that?" Gravin's rather rough voice sounded off in the background. Obviously, he too was displeased at being forced to hunt down children, but although he took no joy in his work, he would not openly complain. "Do the words 'play along' mean anything to you?!" Judha roared, "We needed to convince that giant that the girl was dead, so that he would return to where they are holding the guardian so we could rescue him, remember?! The girl was supposed to be part of the act!" "Gentlemen, that is enough. Even with the slight glitch Judha, we are still going to find the guardian. And both of you, remember that no matter what, we are here to kill all of the half breeds. Whether we killed her then or killed her later, eventually she would die. Perhaps she is one of the few innocents we have encountered, and so what then? Perhaps her soul is light enough to where the scales of Heaven will let her in. If you hope in anything, hope for that... But in the meantime, remember that most of what we have encountered has not been small children, but rather hideous creations that have all but worshipped Scythexious." Aaron's voice finalized the conversation, and Judha closed his eyes and sat next to his beloved sister. Gravin simply remained slumped against a nearby wall, while Aaron walked over and sat down in a rather simple stone throne in the middle of the room. ____________________________________________________________________ Alara hopped, skipped, and then slumped changing in and out of moods as she wandered around the courtyard, seeking for the most part something to do or someone to talk to. Alara knew there was no way she would be able to sit through a graduation ceremony, and besides, she hardly knew any of the graduates aside from Caleb's stories about them. Now there was a conundrum... Caleb Prometheus. Although she knew that he could see souls, she couldn't tell if he knew that she had a small crush on him or not. How on earth could I guy who was so strong be so stupid when it came to the subject of women. That made her angry and grouchy even with herself, mainly because a crush on Caleb meant she was already forgetting about her love from no more than a year ago, her childhood sweetheart who died trying to save her from pirates. Pirates made her two things: anrgy and afraid. Alara started openly shruddering and fuming while aimlessly wandering about. For a second, she gave the house games a thought, and then realized that her like of emtional control would leave her team either trying to kill or comfort her rather then play in the game. This sucked... nothing to do, no one to see... maybe she could find Eona and talk to her, but... hey... A black figure stood nearby the memorial, obviously he was watching someone or something from a distance. Who could this be, a spy? Perhaps a demon disguesed as a human, or maybe a vampire hunting for his next victuum. Silently as possible, she grabbed the short sword from its sheath and pulled it out, creeping up on the figure. Whoever he was, he had the fashion sense worse than the living dead. Unkept hair, a scared torn and shot up trench coat with a wierd symbol on it's back, and thick sunglasses that looked more like goggles than anything else. But he was staring so instensely at something that he did not even notice her sneek up on him until the edge of her sword was at his throat. "What the-" Entirely too fast for Alara to react, the man spun around and grabbed the sword right out og her hand with what looked like an armor covered arm. "What in the hell do you think you are doing?!" Kaz muttered in a gruff voice, partly proud of himself for restraining from killing the girl before asking her. "I-I thought you were an evil assassin sent here to kill someone..." Alara's eyes widened into puppy dog stare status, wondering if this guy was going to kill her here and now. Maybe Caleb would show up and save the day... that would be nice... suddenly she started smiling again, thinking of how nice it would be to get saved by him... "Is... something wrong? I promise I'm not going to kill you or anything... I'm not a minion or spy or anything like that. Here is your blade back..." Kaz handed her the shortsword, praying silently that this conversation wasn't going to get any wierder. Alara took the blade back and patted Kaz on the head like a dog. "You're so kind... I think you are indeed not a hell spawn or anything." Alara grinned as she sheathed her sword, leaving Kaz with a jaw close to dislocation. "By the way, my name is Alara, and what's your name? What were you doing spying like that if you aren't a spy? Why are you wearing those wierd clothes and that armor over your arm?" Silently, Kaz groaned... this was going to be a long day... |

Brian had consciously decided to skip the graduation and house games, events like that always lead him to being in difficult situations and in current times the sun was just right the cooling down process had begun and things felt great. Shuffling around his room he made the connections that big events usually had a short following of big fights at least as far as his memory served him. So he gathered up his gear, trench coat it had been though enough to be a powerful armor he thought. The Tlachtga was always near hand though he wasn’t sure how it got there. A spare shirt and a small pack with a water bottle and a snack, so he gazed out his window half expecting an armed force. Instead he gazed on the memorial where a sleeping figure looked familiar. Geared up properly he headed out to the courtyard the remarkably familiar figure was Caleb sleeping. It worked out he guessed possible attack and he’d already found one of his friends. Right now that would be enough so he sat down next to one of the pillars and relaxed on the ground keeping quiet letting Caleb sleep. |

Zeth had been hoping against hope he wouldnt have been found when a crow dive bombed him. That was the first sign he was fucked, or at least screwed. As the bird took off a few minutes later a blind boy, a little younger then Zeth showed up and drew a single blade. "Zeth....I am your cousin Zeshiro....and I must kill you." With that he charged foreward in an attempt to strike Zeth. Unseen handmovement, faster then light spin of the wrist and arm. With that Zeshiro's sword spun through the air and landed with a soft shffft point down in the dirt. "Get the hell outta here. Come talk to me when you can actually fight." With that Zeth round house kicked Zeshiro to the face knocking him out cold. Then walking to the memorial Zeth came upon Caleb, a boy he had worked with to help the school when the mass invasion of pwermen happened. Walking up next to him he kicked him lightly with his boots. "Caleb...wake up man!" -_- Looking at his sleeping form he sighed and decided ot sit down and wait for him to awaken. Placing his katana back in his sheath he sat down and awaited silently. He did have plenty of time to kill after all. |

Michael had just been preparing to walk around the school, before he left his dorm he had equipped his trenchcoat, he pulled each of the sides open and started putting knifes into the makeshift pockets, and his two enlongated trowel-like weapons. He closed the trenchcoat and put the belt on locking the sides down. He opened the door and turned the light off he walked out of his dorm with a smile on his face. Nothing would ruin his life now, he was now loved by the person he loved most. With this new happiness he headed towards the courtyard to relax, when he got there he noticed three other students all at once, 2 of them appeared to be asleep the third just relaxing with his katana. Michael approached the student that was awake. "Good afternoon, my name is Michael, may I ask what everyone is doing here." Michael bowed to the student. Michael smiled as he adjusted his glasses so that he could stand up straight and peer down through them at the sleeping man. He thought he recongized this student from somewhere, he just couldent place his finger on it. |

(Ah yes... What was Jake going to do? Well, Jake had several plans on the mark, but he wasn't sure which one to go for. He could...pursue his career in developing advanced machines for the highest bidder. After all, he was made privvy to SAEMH-level technology and personally had a crazy Power-Man for a while. He could always do that. Or...he could actually consider being a part of this Meta-Security thingie, which seemed too much like any military to him, which was usually a waste of time. Of course, if ever he would join a military organization, it would be from the world of Moonia, and not Earth. Not thinking very highly of the human race, it seemed to Jake that he could always just throw his lot in with the Bluemoons entirely. They would appreciate that. Then again, Mori said he might just have something for him. Who knows? Well, neverminding all that, Jake's first action was...to move out. Unfortunately, this was harder than he thought and had to take a break. On his way out, he passed Weston Vantago, who had also graduated...) Jake: Hey, man. How're you getting all the stuff out of your room? I'll bet it's a whole lot easier. Weston: Easier than you think. I'm not going anywhere. Jake: Come again? Weston: Well...won't and can't, really. Jake: How come? Weston: My presence here was assigned by the High Council of Gallifrey. I'm on this planet, and at this time, on their say-so. My job is, in fact, to moniter and diminish all temporal anomalies generated here, of which there are lots. Jake: So...what's wrong with moving out? Weston: Almost all of them HAPPEN RIGHT HERE! Jake: Ah, now I get it. You're not leaving because this is the focus of your job. Weston: Right, and the principal of a school like this isn't even fit to look at a High Councilman of Gallifrey, so you can see who I take my directions from. This whole planet could come apart with all the anomalies I've recorded. Thank Rassilon, alot of them close soon after... Jake: Well, I'll be seein' ya....probably. (Jake had no illusions of that. He knew he'd probably see Weston in the future. He knew that because of some of the temporal mish-mash that's been going on. It only started with Keona Minamino, his future-goddaughter...and winged person... Yes, that was a strange thing... He wandered outside, thinking about that and also Teo and Winter. That was a weird thing, those three. In that realm with that force of evil, Scythexious, he had seen them with wings, just like Caleb...) Jake: That's a coincidence... (Caleb was sitting right there! He was asleep and someone was trying to wake him, while another guy was curious about his presence. Jake was standing there, wearing an attire similar to David Boreanaz in Angel, now beginning to wonder if his mind had perhaps led him here on purpose, as if there was something brewing that he was not aware of. He began to look around, suspiciously, then disappeared. His presence was still noted, but it was just hanging in the air for now. He wanted to see if anything...happened.) |

Up in the sky, a boy with dark blue/black hair flew over the school grounds with dark blue wings. Flying with them was a hawk... but it was a white half with a red tail and the feathers on it's wings were tiped with red. "Prince Imao, Caleb Prometheus is down there!" The wings said to the boy, Imao. He looked down at the courtyard, where people were gathering near Caleb. He smiled and looked back at the hawk. "Kuron, land down there, I need to speak with Caleb about Teo." As Imao said tjis, the white hawk dove toward the ground, followed by Imao and his wings. Before they reached the ground, Kuorn, the hawk, changed back into his white haired self and waited for Imao to detach from his wings and land too. Imao then fell to the ground gracefully and looked up as his wings transformed into a boy with brown hair, who wore a silly grin on his face. Imao, Kino, and Kuron walked the rest of the way to the gathering group. It was time that Imao got some answers to all his questions about Avians. |

Bizarre with an exponent above it, Brian couldn’t get all these people one walks up and intentional hassles the sleeping Caleb, He thought about roughing the guy up for being such a prick to a guy trying to have a good nights sleep. However another man walked up. The trench coat mafia motif continuing the trend, with no doubt concealed weapons beneath in all likelihood’s, as he tried to spark a conversation with the group now. Something caught his eye for a second like magic being drawn but as if on the wind it was blown away, probably a student doing a trick in the distance, these temporary flashes meant little to him now. As if on cue another flash further away an actual student sighted doing a trick pulled at least some of the building paranoia away. The ah appearance of boys with wings was really all that was necessary to set Brian off for now being worried, he vaguely had some face recognition of the three coming but it meant more to him to get up and put a halt to it all. So he rose up and, with a flick of his tail batted the leaning spear into his hands. “Alright back off. All of these people coming together asking of, or bugging Caleb here isn’t exactly showing the intent to have a nice chat.” Brian knew he wasn’t known on the campus per say not like Ryu, Johnny, or Teo. His voice wouldn’t hold any merit to the other students, but he was damn well ready to make good on any retaliation necessary for the event. Caleb was one of the few he had as friends now, and if he wanted to sleep he’d get that sleep. |

Michael glanced up just barely long enough to see the person on wings land. But where did his wings go... He examined the lander and saw 3 people standing there, Michael was realitvly new to the school, and such a power frightenned him. He took a couple steps backwards away from the men, he awed in fasination of the power. Michael didn't have long to think before he was immeditaly distracted by the man who had just started talking. "I am sorry I didn't mean to interupt him, I just thought he might be awake. More or less relaxing." Michael nodded towards the upset student, he hadn't seen the student around before... But where Michael came from that didn't mean he could disrespect his wish. Michael turned a curious eye towards the group of men that seemed to be assembling around this area, to all that could hear him he bowed lightly. "Im Michael, I am rather new to the school. It is a pleasure to meet you." Michaels trenchcoat seemed to sag forward when he bowed. He had to use his hand and push it back to his chest. |

“Alright back off. All of these people coming together asking of, or bugging Caleb here isn’t exactly showing the intent to have a nice chat.” Kuron stepped forward, an annoyed look lazily plastered on his face, "Look here, we need to talk to the Caleb guy. You see, you could call Caleb, Tateo, Winter, those two, and me family." He pointed back at Imao and Kino, "And anyways, the Prince wants to speak with him, so-" Suddenly, a hand was slapped over his mouth. Imao stood behind the tempered boy with an embarrased grin. "We can wait for him to wake up, but I have some important questions for him." Imao glared at Kuron, "As you king, I order you to shut your mouth about me at school." Kuron rolled his eyes and nodded. There was no use arguing with Imao when he was like this. Kino just stood there, smiling kindly. He pulled a small lollipop from his pocket and stuck it in his moth after taking off the chocolate colored wrapping. He waited quietly, not bothering to hold his brother back this time. |

"Well ya know if trying to talk to the guy who you fought with right at his side when those damned powermen invaded counts as botheirng, especially when I sat down and kept my mouth shut after he didnt respond." he said with a faint sigh. He didnt know why all these people shouting stuff like prince and king were walking around and making demands. "Really I have no idea who these people with their royalty titles are. I'm just looking to talk with someone I aint seen in a while...." he stood up and dusted the dust off the bakc of his coat where he had been sitting. HE was slightly confused but he also figured in time it would all make sense, or at least these people claiming royalty would, he hoped. |

((OOC: I was going to wait untill SD replied, but figured I'd go ahead and reply now.)) Noriko made her way through the courtyard, taping her cane in front of her as she went along. The blond girl's long snow-white hair had two small ribbons on each side of her face, each with a small bell attached to them. She quietly walked down the sidewalk, her steel cane guiding her as she went. However, Noriko had many things on her mind. The biggest thing being recent events with Caleb. Thinking back at the time spent with him at the waterfall, Noriko couldn't help but grin. However, when she got thinking like this, Noriko often didn't pay attention. Even though she was blind, she could usually avoid objects and obstacles thanks to having her cane to guide her, however, today she was too far in though and wasn't paying attention. She ended up walking right into someone's back (it can be anyone gathered around Caleb). Her face quickly flushed red and she stepped back and bowed, "Er, I am sorry...Pardon me." She said. She turned to continue down the side walk, but her cane tapped against someone's shoe. She realized a rather nice size crowd had formed nearby. "Um..." She stepped back and rested her cane in her hands, "Has something happened? So many people gathered in one spot..." She tilted her head curiously, "Is something the matter?" She asked as her gray eyes continued to stare straight ahead, despite the fact she was blind. |

It was the best of times...the worst of times was over, at last... Teo was so happy... They had all been through so much...he himself had put others through much...but now it was over. He was wiser now......he hoped he was at least...and he thanked his Lord, for a time of peace to enjoy it all in. Franchise had been as good as his word. There had been no whisper of the hated word "meta" in the world's news for quite some time. and the school was no longer a target. Indeed, it seemed as if only those who had need of it even remembered it was there. So much learned, so much experienced...and almost none of it in class. He reflected on all of it, with an air of profound gratitude. His only regret, that he had had to say good bye to so many, who were now going out into the unknowing world, to make their lives...he prayed. let them be lives in peace, and of peace. For himself, he was staying home. He had accepted a post from Principal Mori to stay in the place where his heart called him to be...where those he loved could always find him. Higher. beloved! Like a second moon in the sky, he rode the thermal Cyra created, two thousand or more feet high. Spread his wings in exaltation, candleflames that flickered all but invisible in the bright sun. He did not feel joy, he was joy. Suddenly without warning, folded his wings, and twisting in the air, caught her in his arms for a long, lingering kiss... Strengthening power rolled off of him in waves, without thought, just as it had in Caleb's soul. Any who were touched by it's light would find their powers strengthened, their heart full of confidence and resolve He thought, absently, with the single brain cell not fully caught up in her soft russet hair, her sweet scent and bright heart. that it was just as well that one had to die before going to heaven... For more joy than this, he could not survive... Slightly below, on a rocky point that jutted off of the mountain, towards the school as if an arrow pointed, a silver-haired observer watched intently, everything but the small moon above him. He too was staying, he too had one regret...the absence of the one who made him soar in joy... But there was no bitterness in it anymore, and no jealousy, but the calm awareness of what he himself had done. Winter had no illusions anymore. He had driven her away himself. Who was he, to begrudge Teo his joy, which had been too long in coming as it was. It was a small enough thing, to hold back the darkness. His prayer, such as it was, a simple one, and one which he had no expectation of being answered...that he would never again be a part of that darkness... It was only in his chosen task, that he could forget the growing darkness in his mind. To leave off fighting it for just a while. while he watched, scanning for danger, always awake, always vigilant. Not realising that only when he did not fight it, did it not grow... His pose one of deceptive ease, perched at the edge of the spar of rock. Arms around one black-clad leg as the other dangled over a thousand feet of empty air...As Teo felt only one mind, he felt many, all at the school, and Domino beyond, as if an ocean of lights, each one a separate soul, lay spread below him. And minds beyond that. little companions, that he had stationed with those who were his special protectorate. Some hundred ravens scattered over the ocean, his eyes and ears, telling him what telempathy could not. And the single raven perched on his shoulder, was as intent as he, whose true master saw more even than that. So close, that the wind that passed could barely find passage between black plumage and silver hair...To him, his father's eye, and voice and touch, a consolation never voiced, but always there. Winter could feel those minds ever clearer...his own mind reaching, open... It took the span of a second for everything to change, and he was falling.... He remembered a sound, no, not a sound, a death, and a soundless cry from 600 throats, passed mind to mind, and a wing suddenly spread, slamming into his head. A small form, crumpled, tumbling as if shot and wing-broken. No, no, NO!! Tendrils of control whipped out. He twisted in the air, caught the one falling with him. The ravens were leaving this realm for their own, and no explanation for this was a good one. He had to catch them, force them to stay, force the portal open! But when each raven became part of the smoky ring, it vanished, the mirror within flickering intermittent. His father's voice, his mind stilled. The sudden emptiness was terrifiying. The most blistering insult would have been welcome now... Winteer stared at his hand in increasing frantic fury. The key would not come. Reign! Relign! Let me in!! Wings exploded around him, shoving him upward, and away from the shreds of portal. He had been mere feet shy of exploding himself against the ground. Only then did wings spring from his back, as he fought flames that burned around him. Someone was yelling his name into a mind filled with death and the need to go home... Winter's arms wrapped around a bird, his wings wrapped around him, trying to protect himself from flames.Teo, who grasped him, could not control his headlong flight without his own wings, but the flames were tearing at his alter.. He begged Cyra's wind again and the only place to land that wouldn't kill them from the impact. They crashed into the Memorial. Shattering branches, sakura blossoms exploded outward, but none with the force of a single name then spoken. No rock-centered snowball could have hit so hard. CALEB!! |

(OOC: May I say, thank you everyone for coming. Unfortunatly, my stalling tactics did not give Iron Angel enough time to return, so once again I apologize my dear for doing this, but hope I at least get her somewhat right. Please note that if you are having trouble understand exactly what is happening, either pm me or im me and I will try to answer your questions.) Caleb sat there in his state of sleep, his blind eyes and mind closed alike to reality. Within his soul however, peace was about to give way to a new conflict, for the gong had struck upon a new era, the chimes of his destiny were blowing in the wind... A pleasent day lit the waterfall, where Caleb and Noriko sat together, laughing and enjoying each others company. Apparently niether of them were noticing that the landscape had changed to a meadow, and then a mountain. In this dream, both of them could see, and both of them were more than happy in their simplistic lives free of violence. Although the landscapes kept changing, the sky always kept its same perfect blue. The laughter continued and the dream was simply wonderful, Caleb was having the time of his life... They were in a meadow again, but something was wrong. It took everything Caleb had to stop staring at Noriko, but part of him just knew that someone else was here, someone else was watching. In a long neck wrenching move, he turned his head toward the meadow and gazed at the intruder toward Noriko's and his perfection. The intruder was the textbook example of a suspiceous character, with an old knotted staff and thick black robes which covered everything but his hands and mouth. However, unlike anything Caleb would have expected, this figure had a long pristine white beard. The figure did not speak, did not move... and yet Caleb just knew that through that hood, cold eyes were gazing daggers upon him and his beloved. Noriko caught onto what Caleb was staring at, and she herself began to look with her jaw slightly agap. What seemed like forever passed before anything happened, so at long last Caleb spoke up. "Who are you and what are you doing here? Why do you just stand there watching us? What do you want?!" Caleb was now standing, and he was shielding Noriko so that she would not have to look upon the terror that was the man standing in front of him. Even though he had broken her of from his gaze, he could still hear her sobs, still feel her pain. What was this individual trying to get at? "Guardian... you have dishonored your race. Now you must suffer the consequences. Death awaits for the ones closest to you, for you have committed unforgivable sins." The voice was an echoing rasp devoid of emotion, and yet it managed to instill fear into Caleb not based off of the words, but its tone alone. Still though, Caleb was not one to take the death of his friends or anything like that lightly, so he spoke through his fear... "Who are you to judge my honor? My race abandon me here! Since when do they care about what decisions and friends I make, what family I adopt into my heart!" Suddenly, Caleb realized that he was dreaming... he should have caught onto this sooner, he hadn't had his vision for over a full year now. This sight was something that his mind and soul were creating, but they were both knowledgable enough to know when something was wrong, and something was very wrong. This man in front of him was a foriegn object a wanderer of sorts who had somehow come upon Caleb's dream and was interferring with it. Now Caleb was simply pissed off at the fact that someone had entered his mind and soul without any geniune reason or purpose other than to threaten him. "Fun little game you had going here, wasn't it?" Caleb's tone matched the tone he took with almost any demon or other evil incarnation that he had delt with. The man had no response for him, so Caleb continued. "Play time is over old man, get out of my dream and leave my family alone." "Your Dream? Little prat, I gave you this bliss, just so I could watch your reaction to having it being taken away. Since you are SO aware though, allow me to teach you a lesson!" The world gave way to darkness, Caleb turned to face a broken and bleeding Noriko reaching for him, screaming in pain and fear. He tried to reach out and save her, but she turned to stone and crumpled just as his hand reached her. The meadow turned to red, mysterious figures hidden behind massive white cloaks began to form a large circle around Caleb and the dream crusher standing opposite of him. Caleb wanted to cry, but he knew this was a dream, he knew Noriko's cries and screams had been placed their to haunt him, to make him weak. For Noriko, for the rest of his family, he would be strong... he would conquer the darkness that had dared to wander into his peace... "Try all you want, but this is just a dream old man. And since I am known as a Soulmancer, let me be the first to introduce you to the true powers of my soul." Caleb's body transformed into the form that had Banished Scythexious from within him, The massive being with eight wings of pure white light. The light absorbed his entire being, and then spread itself over the field that the figure in black had created, destroying the horror that had been attempted to be inflicted on him. Caleb sighed in relief, and looked around the world of pure white that he had apparently made. His thought patterns told him that apparently he too could manipulate his own dream, and that the dark figure had probably managed to escape. "Wonderful Illusion, but you are waisting my time." The rasp sounded slightly miffed, as if the cloaked man had not expected Caleb to be able to do that. The figure appeared once again in front of Caleb, and tapped his staff against the solid white to bring back the world Caleb had just changed. The white beings in cloaks drew closer, drawing blades of light and pointing them at Caleb. Caleb gave a battle cry and once again spread his wings, but the figure in black tapped his staff into the ground, and the blood stained dirt became shadow itself. The shadows lept at Caleb's wings and body, tying him up and pulling him down. He sturggled against them, at first shouting and then downright screaming as the shadows tightened around his wings and then pulled in oppostie directions. The wings of light shattered like glass, and Caleb was filled with a pain that he had not felt since his soul had been ripped in two. The shadows pulled at his legs and hands, absorbing him into the very ground where they had originated from. Next, the shadows wrapped around his throat, removing his voice entirely... Caleb tried as hard as he could to out think the pain, to wake up in a cold sweat in the courtyard once again, but the figure in the robes was pinning him here. These shadows weren't just a dream, they were creeping over his mind and soul in reality, trying to permanently kill him both in his dream and in the real world. All he could do was wait for the darkness to absorb him, he was seconds away from it also, only his face being held above the black tarlike shadows that had such a killer grip on him. "This is the Punishment of the Devine Council for those who break from the law. Any Avian, commoner, soldier, guardian... or even savior, who dares to do as you have... will die along with the ones that he has surrounded himself with." The rapsy voice gave a laugh, and the entire world became that thick shadowy tar, forcing itself down Caleb's throat and into his organs, driving into his soul and imploding it... But then the shadows broke, and Caleb was back in that meadow, alone with the figure in the black cloak. The entire world was shaking, and now fading away... even the dark man with his staff and beard were dissapearing. "It doesn't matter where Caleb Prometheus, it is only a matter of when you and your self proclaimed family shall meet their end. Beware, for the Messanger of Justice shall bring thy eternal night." With that, the entire world of dreams faded to the darkness of reality. Either by a stroke of sheer luck or by fate, Zeth's kick into Caleb's side had served as the striking blow that had pulled him from his dream. Of course, rather than be the type to sit up in a cold sweat and worry, Caleb did not react, merely attempting to lower his heart rate and focus his mind at the task at hand. That figure from the dreams was real, but moreover he was subtley strong in ways that most telepaths would kill to be. And by the sound of it, Caleb was surrounded by more than just one person was around him. Apparently, they were arguing over something... something about an individual named Zeth and a kick that he had given to Caleb. Caleb processed the name Zeth, but he couldn't find anything at first. Then it occured to look on the other side of himself, the memories he had gained when he destroyed his brother. Indeed, Zeth and Caleb's imposter had fought together in order to defend the school. However, Caleb was not going to stand up and interrupt a converstaion without knowing what was going on around him, so silently he opened his eyes just for a second to find all of the souls around him. The number was more a gathering than just a few friends... it seemed like almost the entirety of the saviors of his soul had regrouped before the start of the new year. That in itself was simply wonderful... too wonderful to let his friends be arguing over. So quietly that only his master, Jake, would probably notice, Caleb rose up without bothering to grab Soulraven, taking a very slow step to appear in between Zeth and Brian, along with the other boy who's soul he had seen before. "Gentlemen, there is no reason to worry..." Caleb rubbed the back of his head and sweatdropped, mostly because it was embarrassing that Brian cared so much about him that he was attempting to protect him. "Although Zeth's rather unique meathod of a wake up call still stings a little, I wasn't having a wonderful time in dream world. So my thanks to you, Zeth.... but please don't do that again." At this point, he heard Noriko's voice, and couldn't help but smile. "Yes Noriko, everyone is gathered around because it appears I have an odd choice of sleeping habits, yet a convienent timing that allows me to most of the people I care about the greatest." He smiled once again and walked over toward Noriko, standing next to her and trying to remember whom else he had heard. Of course, Iamo and the others! bout time I got to see them again! "And as for you, your majesty..." His voice was filled with sarcasim, but the friendly kind as opposed to the kind Caleb reserved those who he was fighting. "If I can be of any help answering your questions, I would be honored... ____________________________________________________________________ "You still are avoiding my questions..." Alara muttered through Kaz's glove over her mouth. However, it came out more like "mph st r vodng y quetons", nand very quietly at that. Alara personally wondered if she was going to survive this encounter at all... after all, Kaz had promised he wasn't a hell spwan or anything, and even managed to introduce himself before he realized that she was going to draw way too much attention to his spying. He had his own reasons for attempting to spy on Caleb, mainly because he had personal questions that he wanted answered, but Kaz was smarter than to mess with anyone who looked like Brian, and also wise enough to realize that asking Caleb about whether he was evil in front of a crowd of people was a potential heath hazard if the answer was not what they were looking for. Slowly, ever so slowly, he turned Alara so that she could see Caleb conversing with the others. Alara started to silently cry, and Kaz felt bad enough to the point where he softened his grip and leaned in to talk to her. "I'm sorry about being so rough to you... but that is why I am spying-" "Are you going to kill Caleb?" She stated in a rather angry whisper, knowing that if she screamed out this man would probably kill her. "Because if so... you should know that he is really strong. Sure, he's blind... but I've heard stories about him and the things he's fought. You'll never win." Her emotion had turned to almost a certain tone of pride in her knowledge of Caleb's life, mostly attainded through asking questions to other students, and a few to the blindman himself. Although she pretended to sometimes hate him, truly Alara respected him and hoped that he too considered her a friend. "No, if you would let me finish this time I will explain. I've heard that he can see souls, and I need to know more about my own soul. I just do not want to ask him in front of a huge crowd, in case he finds something they don't like..." Kaz trailed off, fully aware that he and Alara were now standing up and would probably be spotted any moment, but part of him no longer cared. He was mostly still feeling bad for covering her mouth after her fifth straight question without giving him the time to answer. "And I'm sorry for holding your mouth shut. You just didn't know when to stop with the questioning though..." "You should be sorry, big meanie." Alara crossed her arms and turned away from the strange man in the trench coat, hoping that he would just dissapear or go talk to someone else. It was clear even to her that he wanted to talk about himself, but was for some odd reason also terribly afraid of doing so. Whatever his problem was, it made him act too strange for her tastes. Just as Kaz was about to mutter the words: I am; both he and Alara were thrown to the ground by the sudden strong air current crashing down on them. both of them sat there for a moment, dumbfounded, and then rose back up to see what was going on now... ____________________________________________________________________ Caleb! The familiar call rattled his brain almost as much as the detection of the sudden wind had been. Caleb knew this wind was Cyra herself, and he also knew without a doubt that Teo and Winter were both there... niether of them had the individual wieght to hit something with that sort of sound. "I take that back Noriko..." Caleb stated in a rather matter of fact tone. He reached his soul out to Winter, a connection with no soulfire within it so as to avoid harming his other mentor. Winter, what is it, what is wrong? Tell me everything! ____________________________________________________________________ His footsteps slowed to a near dragging pace. He hadn't slept a wink since her death, but he was close now, so close that he could taste his vengance at hand. The hideous school gates stood just within reach of his eyes, allowing him the strength he needed to continue. Those gates held Caleb inside them, those gates held the traitor who had murdered his beloved, and who was planning the deaths of others probably right now. Caleb Prometheus had to be stopped, he had to be killed... and the rest of the students had to be warned. Lance's black cloak waved in a small gust of wind, his bloodshot eyes making him look almost possessed. This was no longer the Lance Lo'Thorum that Anime High School had come to love, but rather a shadow of the man who had died like the butterflys that he held for Eona. "Eona, I will honor you today. I will save the rest of them even at the cost of my own life..." In the meantime though, his feet still needed to move. So near and yet so far... |

Brian was forced to start to access who where the biggest threats around him who was perceived as the ones who had the largest chance of causing trouble or being the toughest to defeat if it came down to it. His feet dug the ground and his body moved with electrical inches feeding off the information given by his assessments. The spear presenting a wall to those Brian could position himself between them and Caleb. Michael was the first to present himself, his reaction to Brian getting up and arming himself was slow. His concealed weapons obviously weighty on his trench coat as he leaned forward in a mock gesture of friendship. He was obviously a new student; he carried himself wrong, and moved too quickly to get his name out. Brian gave him a nod and almost seamlessly rotated his focused guard a bit. The next were the ones who sprung him to warrant action, the ones who had powered and no problem displaying it with their flight. One a bodyguard, Brian saw irony in himself playing this role and watching the other being told to back off after slipping saying a unintended remark. The one who commanded him the Prince seemed more interested in making Brian settle. That didn’t exactly sit well with Brian someone being able to exert any kind of control over another person. In this case it seemed more a willing trade so his mouth kept tight focusing more on defense. Their remarks about important questions could really only mean more of Brian’s suspicions brought to light, of a coming problem. The person who kicked Caleb seemed most suspicious of all, his defense of being nice only kicking him the one time and then shutting up seemed so counter productive. He was either playing stupid or actually stupid. Giving it just the tiniest moment of thought about the people he’d met at the school the flaunting students and the ones like this boy were the most dangerous. Most volatile when it came to minced words. Still the people Brian tried to fend off weren’t enough for the arena, still more came, and a girl who seemed unable to see the situation she was walking into continued coming. Brian tried to throw a go away nod at her she seemed to disregard it completely when she started bumping and hitting people with her stick he realized why. Blind his defense lowered for the moment the wall shrinking, for his concern for the lady. Caleb had somewhere in that lowered defense snuck up behind him avoided his whipping tail to speech between him and the kicking boy. Telling him there was no need for concern to calm down and let go that he kicked him because Caleb by stroke of luck was having a bad dream. He couldn’t believe Caleb was missing the significance of what was going on around him. The people gathering, he was being so cavalier so blind… The thought of Caleb being blind spoken in his mind made him disregard his earlier efforts of defense. Friendly and warm to everyone appearing made Brian feel even his own efforts were in waste. An overexertion to his friend was he really being that kind of fool in his own friend’s thoughts. “Dammit Caleb think about it…” His muttered voice was lost behind Caleb’s friendly exchange with his princely friend and making jokes with the blind girl who had stumbled into the area. The feeling of paranoia was at its real peek seeing Caleb so happy to see so many of his important friends. In his life he didn’t know this kind of situation being so convent, he was envious, worried, and happy for Caleb all at once. Till he spoke those five words. “Take what back Caleb. What’s going on?” Brian’s eyes pushed beyond the group, the far reaches, the air, and the ground. A disturbance a shift, something around them he looked quickly the surroundings blur, till he spotted the suggestions following them down into the memorial and behind the cherry tree just out of sight. The trail of broken branches set him into flight on the ground, a spin around Caleb and breakneck pack spear ready as he rounded the corner of the tree. The tone Caleb took didn’t suggest an attack. There he found the crash landed party. “The hell…” |

Damien was all the way at the dorms when the crash happened but he heard it and went running. He arrived there a few minuetes later, breathing hard. He looked around in shock and amazement. There were a lot of people here! He took a moment to take it all in. From the broken trees of the memorial to the people laying around in various states of consiousness to Caleb. His eyes narrowed as he considered Caleb. From what he could see and what he knew of Caleb's ability to draw a crowd and cause damage he got the feeling that this was probably his fault. Damien wasn't mad or anything, he was just kinda tired of seeing scenes of mayhem and Caleb linked. It was enough to give him a headache which he dispelled a moment later. He began his casual walk into the courtyard which became a jog a moment later when he realized that there were several persons in that jumble of foliage. Damien stopped next to Caleb and whispered from the corner of his mouth so that only Caleb could hear, "Well, well, well... What chaos, mayhem, destruction, and or maiming have you caused this time?" Damien took another look at the destruction and realized that Caleb probably had little or nothing to do with this. All of his destruction seemed a bit more organized and usually had a sort of flair to them. He considered apologizing to him, but Damien always hated appologies. He would show his regret with actions. If and when Caleb needed his assistance he would be there... Well, once or twice any way. |

(Paranoia sometimes had its benefits. He had the feeling that something was going on and had acted upon it, suddenly hiding in a small gust of wind. Someone had noticed him, but it was fleeting and...my, there were alot of people gathering all of a sudden! Jake began to move throughout the group, a whisper of the wind itself. He was not so much concerned as to who they all were as...what they were doing here. It seems that his student merely caught their attention, nothing more. Friends and acquaintences, all of them. Not a single enemy. Good. However, Jake became solid, having lost his concentration, as soon as he felt that there was something wrong....skyward. Three forms did he sense, all of them effected by something that impaired their flight. Jake was shocked to realize he knew who it was...) Jake: Teo? Winter? Cyra? (His voice filled with distress, understanding that they were falling, possibly to their deaths. What had happened? What had gone wrong? He shouted in his mind to Cyra in the wind, while reaching out with invisible fingers to help cushion their fall. They crashed still, but he hoped that that was enough. There was something he was still missing, though. Caleb was like a well and these people a dousing rod. They were all here for a reason that he didn't quite understand. And now three of his own good friends drop in...quite literally. Jake was seen heading over to where they were, looking to see if they were okay, while also saying to Caleb...) Jake: Caleb, do you get the feeling that there's more going on than you realize? Like we're all in a snowglobe about to be shaken up? Damn, I hope they're alright. Hmm, no broken bones that I can see...but imagine the headache... What were you dreaming about a moment ago? I get the feeling that I won't like it, but tell me anyway. |

"And as for you, your majesty..." Imao sighed and hung his head, "Can I go five minutes without the honorifics?" He shrugged it off and bowwed slightly to Caleb, "It's great to see you again, Caleb, I have something I'd like to talk to you about." Kino and Kuron stood next to Imao, but when Teo, and Winter crashed into the Sakura tree in the memorial, Kino transformed into a pheonix(or what the others saw as wings) and Kuron transformed into the white hawk from before. They both flew up into the tree to greet the two boys. "Prince Tateo! Are you alright?" He landed on a branch and changed back into his human form, "Mr. Winter, are you uninjured?" Kuron sat on a branch with a amused smirk on his face. It was such a treat to see Teo in such a funny way, and Kuron enjoyed every moment of it. "Oy, Teo! Come on already, you're wasting time!" He said harshly, but there was still a hint of caring, due to the bond between Kuron and Teo. |

((OOC: SHadowdragon, I am kind of braindead at the moment, so this post is going to be crappy. ^_^; And like I said in my PM, feel free to control Noriko as needed. While I am away.)) Noriko was completely left in the dark, quite literally. She couldn't see what was going on around her, but she didn't like it. There had been a crash, and though she knew Caleb was standing right beside her but she still was worried about what was going on. People seemed to be worried about some people...and Noriko moved closer towards Caleb. She accidentally bumped into him, "Er, sorry," She said, "But, Caleb. What was that sound? What's going on?" She asked. She then realized how odd that sounded, since Caleb was also blind, "Er...well, do you even know whats happening?" She asked. ((OOC: Bah, sorry for shortness. =/ )) |

Michael felt alittle out of place among all these people, he had seen caleb before, but had no real connection to the man. Michael just allowed him to shrink back into the midst of people. They didn't need him to be here, and obviously there was something bigger going on. 'Ill act with they need my help...' He thought with a sigh before just sitting down. He examined everyone, there seemed to be bird like people, a lonor more or less, and a couple of others. They were all stronger than him, that much he knew, he didnt wonder how many of them it would take to kick his ass, but he knew how many they could use. He sighed before looking at caleb ((ooc:im a shithead confused as all hell and im tired, sorry about shortness SD)) |

Sameth Lupus had just returned from a long walk/campout in the forest he had been out there for a good three days. He was dirty but he didn't mind it smelled better than human body smell. He was goign back to his room to get washed up but instead he veered off course and joined a rather large group that had acumulated near the memorial. but before he had reached the group the wolf skin hanging down his back fluttered in the wind and he hair blew away from his face as he looked up and saw two figures flying, or more like fallign with style, directly for the ground. Sam picked up his pace a little but he new he would never make it to the crashing spot. as he neared where they did land he saw that the group was gathered around a rather tall student with white hair. He actually looked like someone Eona had told him about, then he herd the boys name it sure was Caleb, and a rather lot of other people a king it seemed and a blind girl and a rather surly looking tiger dude, Sam decided to stay clear from him. Huff-puff sam said as he neared the two crashed people are you ok. and he looked around toward the nearest person which happened tobe a boy whispering to Caleb. Sam assumed the boy thought only Caleb could hear him but Sam could hear many things other people couldn't, but he never said anything about it. Sam new perfectly well that Caleb didn't cause all this destruction it was whoever fell from the sky which happened to be two people he met before. It was Teo and Winter, and sam smiled leave it to them to come crashing down in a heap right in the middle of everything. Sam just turned and watched everything unfold. |

Zeth sighed and made sure all his weaponry was concealed. This spear carrying dude was on edge about everything and anything all at once. It seemed to paranoid about anything and everything as it were. Smiling faintly Zeth noded faintly and allowed Caleb to part the crowd and get to wherever he was going. Then as if by some sort of cosmic joke three people fell from the sky one of which was Teo. He had only seen the boy, or man, or however you wanted to classify him at assemblys and such and had never had any actual acquaintence (sp?) with him. This didnt bother him but what did was that he and two otehrs had just crashed into the ground. Moving over quickly, his trench moving a bit in the wind to show a few weapons he stoped over by them and figured he would ask if they were okay but then took it a step further and ofered his hand to help them stand up. "Jesus...I know weird stuff happens here but people falling from the sky is not what I woudl call normal, even at this school." he mentioned having just graduated he wanst very far out of the loop of things yet at all. It was kind of a shame that he was gone though. No he had to stop those throughts from running through his mind, that would only make leaving worse when it did finally happen. He was of course not looking foreward to it and who could blame him, no one wanted to leave their home, no one at all. Upon hearing Jake mention perhaps some greater force was at work with them, and that they had all been brought otgether ecauseo f that he wondered. Honestly there was a good group here, and most of them strong graduates, or at least very skilled fighters, and all linked to Caleb in some way or another. It made him curious and caused him to ponder on that thought as well. |

There was no sound at the memorial, but rustling, as Cyra's and Jake's wind brought the downed trio to rest at the base of the tree at the center of the ringed pillars. There was no sound...but the eerie feeling of something under the surface, for anyone with the slightest telepathic or empathic awareness. Wordless cries of frustration, fear, pain, shock and reassurance flashed between three linked minds, who were at first unaware of those gathering around them. Teo, being the one best known, and known especially for being fragile, was the one that attracted most attention, but Cyra and he were unharmed. At worst, scratches that were already healed, as he hung upside down, to Kuron's amusement, with his braid skewered on a branch, and his sidelocks looking like two bug-antennae, hanging below his head. Winter the recluse was known by few; he had seen to that himself. He folded bicolor wings about himself and his burden, and suddenly flushed into the featureless messenger form. Sparkling energy, that looked like air ripples and water, sunlight, dust motes, fire and shadows. To those who knew him, ominous for it meant he lacked the strength for human features or form. And it was Teo who responded to Caleb's offer of connection, refusing for both of them. He spoke in the calm manner of one who was controlling himself. Forgive the intrusion, Caleb. Winter does not want to hurt you, as I have just done him. My soulfire was uncontrolled, and burned him badly. He will not dematerialise to repair the damage, lest the last raven vanish with him. Please come. Perhaps your touch will ease him enough to tell us what happened. Neither Teo nor Cyra could heal him of this, and he mourned at causing harm he could not heal. Teo invoked the elemental healing nature of the memorial, part of it Seishou's magic, part his own, all of it gift, and none of it soulfire. The faint aurora borealis effect arced from pillar to pillar, then inward. The healing power bathed the inhabitants and itself. Branches extended, budded, bloomed anew, absorbing splintered wreckage from around them. Winter still shivered, not speaking, holding like a child, a being no more flesh than he... |

(OOC: First off, let me say this... I am not necessarily angry at anyone for a short post, so long as it is a good one. Instead of being all huffy puffy, I would like to remind everyone that Sam I Am sacrificed her main character in order to get this story started. While I will admitt I did not force this on her, your actions dictate the value of her sacrifice.) For one of the few times he had been so, Caleb was geniunely displeased with Teo. Not only had the connection been refused for what in his mind were point blank stupid reasons, but Teo's uncontrolled use of Soulfire was something Caleb specifically warned Teo about, and attempted to help him control. However, Teo had not yet managed to come to him for formal training... which he should have done a long time ago, back when Caleb had managed to spark his soul. "Tateo Minamino, I have warned you about this numereous times. Soulfire is not something to ever be used lightly, no matter what your personal feelings are. If you cannot truly control it you should have asked for my help a long time ago..." Caleb's eyes lit with a light meaning that he was now anything but blind to the people around him. He observed Winter's soul, and the fact that Teo's fire had been withdrawn... but what the hell had they both been playing at to accomplish this? Teo had mentioned the ravens dissapearing, he must have meant the Eathrel Ravens of Odin himself. Who could have done that? What on this earth would cause the ravens that no bullet sword nor magic could harm? Caleb's voice sounded off more like a tempered sword than the caring tones he had used before this event, but it meant he was thinking of a solution. "Noriko... I need to go to that student, he may die without my help." Caleb whispered ever so slightly, but he still knew others would hear him. He couldn't care less right now who else heard him... and Damien was downright pissing him off at the moment. "You... stay silent for now. This is not a laughing matter." Caleb walked over and got on his knees next to Winter, also taking careful note of the fact he was clutching onto the raven much like a child would onto a blanket when they were struck with terror. Caleb's hand quickly found Winter's forehead and rested his hand over it. It was wiered, resting his hand on a being made of energy, definitly not what he had expected, but at the same time it felt right. Winter's body... much like his soul, glowed with a warmth he liked to hide. He sighed, realizing that there wasn't truly much he could do. "Explain." He spoke with a pointed gesture at the raven. I Cannot.... The raven started in a rather defeated voice, All I can tell you is that two days ago one of our number was actually destroyed. This destruction drove almost destroyed Master Odin, but thankfully he was strong. The reason as to why we are dissapearing is due to the fact that Odin knows right now if he dies, we die... and if another of our number is lost, he will die. Odin is currently in the process of using his power to make us a seperate form of existance, which recently required our retreat into a realm beyond this one. However... it cannot be completed until THIS ONE lets me go... Caleb squinted slighlty, trying to concentrait more. He knew he could make hope out of this situation yet. "See Winter..." He whispered softly once again, "Odin is still alive. The ravens will be with us again soon, but they must leave for awhile... you have to do the same Win. Dematerialize from this form and fix your body..." If he requests it... he may come with me... he may help fix our broken wings... Caleb could only hope that would be enough. Knowing Winter, that would probably seal the deal on his recovery... but in the meantime it just did not add up. The raven caught on to Caleb's question before he asked it though... One of us was wounded by a new arrival into this world. Master Riegn is currently gathering what knowledge he can, when he has something acceptable he will present it to you. "Good." Caleb arose once again and faced the rest of the people. He saw their souls, their intents, and their wants. It was time for some answers indeed, time for everyone to gain some answers. "Yes Jake, I do get that feeling... My dream involved someone trying to kill me over something that he said broke from tradition. Frankly, I do not know nor do I much care what he was talking about... and don't worry about things trying to kill me in my sleep. Scythexious was trying for the better part of seven years until you helped banish him.... "Everyone... I hate to say it, but I think we have a new enemy. This is way to quick for Scythexious... he prefers a slow posion compared to quick strikes. As for the Dark Brethren, I don't think it is them either... I do not necessarily know their style, but I do know that they like to openly instill fear when they truly attack. Whoever we are dealing with is good though... damn good. None of our enemies have ever managed to break on of the eathrel ravens. In case that doesn't mean anything to you... take a good look around...." He paused for a moment, letting his point sink in. "These people around you are not your enemies. Brian, your intentions of guarding me while I slept were honorable in the highest calibur. While some others may have not acted in such ways, they are not your enemies. Zeth, you fought with the half of my soul that was later sacrificed to Oblivion, but I know you were instrumental in keeping our school from being a Powerman factory. Michael, if you wanted a chance to prove yourself useful... you might find yourself being ireplaceable soon. Iamo, Kuron and Kino... if you have questions of the utemost importance, you best ask them now... we are in the calm before the storm..." Caleb stopped once again, aware that he hadn't given many answers at all. Damien was probably still just as clueless as he had been when he entered, along with Sameth and Noriko. Hopefully this would clear some things up... ___________________________________________________________________ Noriko was not in the least bit suprised when Caleb began explaining that this was probably a new enemy. It figured if it wasn't one thing... it would always be another. A small part of her seemed to mock the situation, saying This is how it always will be, you blind deaf and dumb while he saves the world again..., while the other portion was angry at the fact that these people kept coming. What would it take for her and Caleb to find peace? What would it take for them to find a happiness that was not constantly interrupted by another's greed? It all just ate at her, and she knew that Caleb could see it. Not much caring for the other people's reaction to the situation, she once again walked toward his voice and reached out to grab his hand. She did not understand the situation, or at least she couldn't until Caleb would explain it to her. Her hand was gripped by Caleb's; a rock solid grip that read of a mixture between love and determination. It gave Noriko faith to feel that, it gave her knowledge that her and Caleb would overcome the situation. Instead of hiding herself and bumping into people, she now stood next to him... proud. "We'll get through this..." She whispered, "We'll beat them again. Ok, you and the others will beat them again, but don't count me out... I just wish-" "You are already being supportive Noriko. I just want you with me, not fighting for me or dying for me. Truth be told, I'd feel much better with you out of harm's way when it comes to the fighting anyway, alright?" Caleb's voice was supportive, but at the same time held to twinge of nerveousness. "Alright, for you and I..." Although she said it, it was a promise she did not entirely intend to keep. If the situation changed, she would fight for Caleb, and if it grew worse, she would die for him as he would for her. |

The feeling of being at the front of the line was overwhelming as he saw the bodies of Cyra, Teo, and Winter. They were overall looking okay except for the foliage they picked up on their decent. The view was quickly obstructed as the group that was previously focused on Caleb now focused on the school hero Teo. Brian was happy that the crowd pushed him back; he knew Teo could pick up intents and feelings. Right now after verifying he was okay Brian reverted back to the more basic thoughts he had about Teo and his large companionship. While he explained the situation and activated the levels of magic that the memorial held, netting Brian’s visions of everyone as unchecked growth and restoration filled the area Brian still backed, he looked towards Caleb, he and the blind girl were close, so much so that it vaguely reminded him of the happy pairing of Teo and Cyra. He had to put aside the thoughts focus. It didn’t become easy the images of Caleb and Teo while Caleb walked closer to the hurt party. The first to offer aid was among the furthest from the damage, Brian had trouble diffracting Caleb from Teo, they were alike, especially where in Brian’s mind it mattered. They were surrounded protected by their friends. He felt now his earlier attempt to be apart of that circle was a failure. Wrong situation, wrong people, their quiet exchange suggested ulterior motives going on while the fighters paced worried subconsciously about when their weapons would be apart of them. Caleb’s voice rose to meet the silence above his shoulders, he faced the crowd with an aged face and a heavy look. Leveling with the others their the ideas and motives rattling in his mind. Brian felt uneasy; his shoulders seemed to slump unnaturally trying to avoid a new weight. The words new enemy, boisterous and ready to trample them was what Brian received from Caleb’s speech. He looked defiantly not at Caleb but the reflection of himself he saw in Caleb’s glowing eyes. Whatever words of honor he’d slandered on Brian didn’t matter, Brian never saw himself as the guy in Caleb’s eyes, he looked too strong, standing just a little too tall. He had too much light in him for the truth of his tastes. That though as Caleb tore his glowing gaze away to address the rest of the crowd, wasn’t important. That guy, defender, hero, lackey, or support, didn’t matter who that guy was or why he stood so tall. Caleb was going to need him. Teo had enough protectors and a number of this crowd no doubt would throw their lives to protect Caleb too. Brian had no illusions of such honors or grandeur, what he would do it would be to see his friend though to the other end of the crisis. To see him wholly survive the disaster of crushing weight that was coming his way. Though who Caleb would turn to in the end Brian saw in the last lingering moments of his speech. The girl of course was whom Caleb put his life and the easiness of his mind, Brian was sure it was the same for Teo and Cyra. Brian looked around the crowd, he heaved a low laugh, no such luck in this crowd he didn’t have that support and would have to find his own way to be able to stand on the stage. “Not very calm from what I’ve seen, but it’ll do.” Brian walked away from the crowd, one of the many exits of the school looking ahead of him, he often wondered why there were so many ways out of the walled school this situation reeked of the answer. It was a signal, your last chance to escape the one way out of the situation the wide-open world unwilling to accept you or the role soon to be played out inside the schools tragedies. He stopped at one of the monolithic pillars that still held such magic just from Teo’s beck and call. He sat alongside it, careful not to disturb the threads of magic he saw still. His fiery hair clashed against the cool stone as he slumped down, sliding like the weight of the satiation was a little too much to bare, he closed his eyes wondering idly if he was blind would he see the situations ahead. Of course a tiny voice in his conscious told him otherwise. If he ever did go blind his body would compensate quickly he might have eyes growing out of his hands or extra eyes on his head. The funny thought of seeing himself with 20 eyes on his face in the mirror increased the distance from the group’s calamity preparation. He didn’t need to be apart of them to be one of the ones to support the repelling force against the enemy. He, Tlachtga, and the guarantee that he’d still have a friend when this ended were and will be the only thing that keeps him tethered to the doomsday mission against an unknown enemy. |

(Trying to kill him... Trying to kill Caleb over a matter of some sort of tradition of sorts. That was what Jake was thinking of before snapping back to reality. Yes, there was a problem. A new enemy, something different from the kinds of creatures they had expected before. Someone had managed to do what Caleb had pronounced the unthinkable. They had harmed the Ravens, and they had harmed Odin. How this was done, why this was done, Jake did not know. However, he wondered... Tradition? Was there something he was missing? All the facts were a jumble. A raven died or was destroyed, three of his friends had almost fallen to their deaths, Teo had uncontrollable SoulFire, Winter was protective of the ethereal birds, etc. Round and round the events-word goes, where it stops...nobody knows. Jake felt like everything was in circles. The dream-attack made him worry, not because of the possibility of his student dying in his sleep, but because it might have been...) Jake: A message. A warning. That was no attack... (It was a red herring, or maybe just the first attempt. The point was that their new enemy was subtle, careful. He wondered how much so... He'd helped Caleb become an excellent fighter with his own help, also defending the school at pretty much the same time. In this way, they had become friends, which was why he'd helped against Scythexious. This unlocked a whole new door, as far as he could tell with Teo and Winter...and Keo, for that matter. Wings... It was always about the wings. Avians, according to Odin. In the soulscape that Scythexious had been fought in, all souls revealed themselves for what they were, and that was why the wings... Jake himself, though, still had to question his OWN being, since he'd eneded up somehow...even more half-demon than he already was there.) Jake: Where do the pieces fit in...? (There was something happening, something just under the radar that he couldn't see. He looked around, left to right, but his eyes didn't see anything out of the ordinary, as well as all of his senses. At least... What? What was that? He'd just caught it. Words...faintly carried on the wind. They were there, then they were gone. Something about honor and the cost of a life. With everything else being said, he'd missed it. Something felt cold about those words, but now he couldn't say what! There was a commotion stirring and Jake had to get out of it. He wandered to the edge and...saw something by the gates. No, not something. Someone... Jake looked in his direction, but did not see the face. It was two dark right now to see it properly, unless he used his powers... Jake's mind let go, his psychic energy enticing the wind, shaping like a maliable force. It swept by the newcomer harmlessly, but it was actually trying to pull something off of his mind, the strongest thought on the surface of that brain. The energy swept out and then lashed in, and Jake got a flash. One second long, but crammed without alot of images, too many. He grasped his head as he lost balance, and got out a single "Agh!" before hitting the ground.) Jake: What was that? What was that?! So fast, so painful... Why the hell did I even DO THAT?! |

He didnt really know these people and didnt much care if he did. Caleb said that they had a new enemy and along with his own feeling that somethign was amiss others had voiced their concern on this as well. He hadnt been around when the fought this Scythexious and wondered who exactly that was, knowing only that he was considered evil and wrong by Caleb and a race called Avains that he was apparently a part of. He did however want the answers that he was sure to get in time or so he hoped. Things did seem very suspicous though. Astral ravens never before hurt were beign destroyed, Teo, Winter, and such fallin from the sky and getting hurt, though hopefully not to bad. This plus someone was going into Caleb's dreams and harrasing them, it all added up to something he couldnt place and something he didnt want to think about. If it was as bad as it all sounded it was not going to be an easy fight, not an easy one at all. As he was thinking this over in his mind he heard Jake let out a groan or something of the sort. He wasnt sure why but he looked towards the gay in the direction Jake had been looking. He saw someone just as jake had, his senses heightened a good deal but only because he was no rushing energy into his system letting his eyes and body performance enhance just for a moment. Seeing it was indeed a person he let the energy flood back out of his body and organs, though no one could see it being disperse. He wondered who it could be but knew he would have to wait to find out. |

"Tateo Minamino, I have warned you about this numereous times. Soulfire is not something to ever be used lightly, no matter what your personal feelings are. If you cannot truly control it you should have asked for my help a long time ago..." Kuron couldn't believe his eyes. The legendary empath was getting chewed out! His mouth quirked into a tiny smile, then his teeth began to show, he just couldn't hold it anymore, "Oh... my... God! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Tateo's busted!" He held his middle and laughed his heart out as he leaned on his brother, who was still standing there happily with a chocolate lollipop in his mouth. "Brother, becarefull of how loud you are, you could get chewed out too." Kino said in a sing-song voice. Kuron bit his lip and wiped away tears as he tried to stop laughing. Kino patted his brother's back and grined, "That-a-boy." Kuron smacked Kino's hand away and smiled slightly as he watched Teo. Iamo(Imao), Kuron and Kino... if you have questions of the utemost importance, you best ask them now... we are in the calm before the storm..." Imao stepped forward quickly, "Caleb... I want... I want to know who I really am! Am I just an apointed person to lead our people in peace? Or was I choosen... was my father choosen for a reason other than just needing someone to lead the village?" (((ooc I have a small idea about the avians and blackhands. The dragon family are all half avians, but everyone else are 'blackhands'. Does that sound ok? That would mean that Imao is a half avian and Kino is a black hand ooc))) |

Teo, Win, Xan, Pete, Kounei ...currently offworld...

Teo, who had picked himself and Cyra up, and untangled his braid, with help from the puzzled friends around them, had gone with her to kneel by Winter. The silver-haired warrior of Ravenguard had not risen, but was half-collapsed, leaning against the tree. "Tateo Minamino, I have warned you about this numereous times.... Teo was caught short, as if choke-chained, and stood, visibly squirming, raking his hand nervously through his hair, wide-eyed and blinking. He could not even make response to Kuron, but blushed, mortified. That Caleb could not see him didn't matter. He could see more than any other....be careful what you pray for...Teo had got what he wanted, in more than one way. The intimacy of their brief soul-fusion, meant Caleb now knew everything he had ever done...and not done and should have...and Caleb had him dead to rights. Caleb's displeasure was as much in recognition that this had not been the first time he had been so foolish. He would not even have needed Caleb to save his life back in the Realm, if he hadn't ditched Angela's mental training... "I had thought I was wiser...it seems...I was mistaken..." The lecture itself was brief, but only to let Teo stew in his own juices, as Caleb knew he would. Contrite, he watched as Caleb pointedly turned his attention to the one hurt through his own fault. Winter's last glance, before the energy cascade had overtaken his features, had been for Cyra, who had placed her hand gently upon his face. He knew then, that the scars that she had put there, when he had once tried to forcibly take her, would fade, and never return...The touch of a friend, the touch of a loved one, transcended power... No words of apology could make up for the harm, but Teo laid his hand, empty of power, upon the outside of the shivering, shimmering wing. So like photographic negatives, one to another, they were. The power of coersion, that Teo hated, and loathed to admit even to himself that he had, made Winter strong. Indeed, it was that power in him, that Queen Morgana had seen, that she had used to spawn Winter from him, to serve her. It was no surprise to either, then, that the power that made Teo strong, his ability to strengthen others and himself through open mental connection and physical touch, made Winter feel weak and vulnerable. But each had what the other had. And each needed it. What Caleb thought was not much, was more than Winter knew how to ask for and more healing than Winter could openly admit. He leaned his forehead against Caleb's hand, and eased to both his vocal and physical touch. Caleb did not even ask him for explanation, querying the raven in his arms instead. He must have know that between his panic and the soulfire burns, Winter had not got the answers they needed. ... it cannot be completed until THIS ONE lets me go... Winter startled, upset that he had thwarted his father's purpose at such a sensitive time. He withdrew all control, but despite himself, still held the Raven to him, his last connection to Odin. One thing was not eased. He had never taken well to reminders of Odin's impending death, and the thought of that death, far off at the hand of an enemy, unnerved him further.... That a raven could be destroyed was unthinkable, that someone could have that power, impossible.... but that someone could will it, and do it....the implication is what had struck him with terror. Ii was that, that had burned him worse than soulfire. Caleb spoke to him as he would to a child, gently. No one had ever tried to, before, and the grouchy, prickly Winter would have raised Cain if they'd tried...but now...now, he simply needed it, and for the first time, simply accepted it. It did not matter that Caleb could not see him. He knew that Caleb saw him, more clearly than anyone ever had, and the warmth and the longing for another's friendly touch, that he hid too well, Caleb felt. If he requests it... he may come with me... he may help fix our broken wings... I...do...so request... His first, halting words, his entire being glowed with his longing answer yes. Teo...brother...take care of Silence for me...and..if...if Autumn returns, tell her that I have been lonely without her. Teo replied with the words Winter hid too well. ...I will tell them, that you love them... They stopped, so they could listen. Winter did not understand why, with no lungs, he still felt as if he could not breathe. A feeling of sudden dread, beyond what he had felt before, weighed him down like he was solid black ice, rather than ephemeral energy. His soul seemed filled with cold, and darkness. A too familiar feeling... Wind had never been swifter to come to the aid of her teacher and friend. Cyra's hands cupped around Jake's head, grey eyes dilated in concern. "Please be alright - Keo would be very upset otherwise." She whispered gently, nervously making light of something which frightened her. Who could have been strong enough to fell him? Winter did not want to intrude upon Caleb's quiet moment with his love, but desperation drove him to seek him out again. He had had the sudden thought, that he might not see any of them again...His mental touch was uncharacteristically quiet. Caleb...before I go...I would ask for what Teo rejected...please.... |

(What could have felled him? It was more than one can imagine, yet less than one would expect. Jake was not an all-powerful god. He was not even a full-demon. His power was largely elemental, forceful, combative. It was therefore useless in any instance that required someone with medical training. This was not a case of that, but the problem was almost as delicate. Jake's mind had grown in the psychic sense, and this had made him capable of reaching into minds. The problem with this was two-fold. First, Jake's actual focus with his mind in these matters was shoddy, like firing a sniping rifle without a proper rangefinder-sight. It took great effort. And second, the mind could be a hazardous place, like a jungle with snakes and pitfalls. What Jake lifted was shot back at him with the velocity of a hollow-point bullet. It was an intense suffering, which he wasn't prepared for. He didn't know that Cyra was there, only that two men had attacked a plane and killed a girl, and that a boy had fallen, after a harsh battle, almost to his death. That was all he could understand. It was the most intense. Shattered love, defeat, falling, suffering-) "Please be alright - Keo would be very upset otherwise." (His mind snapped to attention, losing track of the little ball of aggression for now. Like a breath of fresh air, thoughts settled back into the here and now for Jake, and he opened his eyes, remembering that he had a future to take care of... Things were a blur for a second, but gradually improved. There was confusion in his expression. The voice was gentle, but he thought he might have seen...) Jake: Marina...? No, wait. Cyra... Good to see you're in one piece. (He smirked slightly, getting up into a sitting position, still a bit jumbled in his head. Something seemed off, like there was a dream he'd awoken from that he couldn't remember. He began to look around, but he couldn't sense it anymore. That funny feeling wasn't there right now. Whoever it was must have felt the read and put up some mental defense.) Jake: I pulled a thought out of someone's head...can't remember which...and it hurt like hell. Just a painful memory, but whose...? |

A new threat, how many were there he had been there when the school was attack a few months ago he and Eon had hidden in a secluded part of the school till it was finished, after that he had herd tales of other such attacks on the school. Then everyone moved into separate dorms he had moved only reluctantly but he had yet to sleep in the new bed in his dorm room there weren't even any sheets on the bed. Sam was entirely confused by this chain of events, and by Caleb’s speech for that matter, but he was not worried there would be time for question, now was the time for answers. the area around Teo, winter and this Cyra person was becoming and Sam was only slightly claustrophobic. Sam moved out of the direct group so he could breath the fresh air again, as he moved one of the other students collapsed right in front of him and he stopped and knelt down just Cyra revived him.
A thought how did he manage that one. Sam knew very little about other peoples powers and he was rather curious as to what he could do. So Sam moved a little ways away to listen better. A moment later did he realize he was sitting next to the Brian guy he was only slightly afraid of and tentatively stammered "hhhh..hhhhii." |

(here I am, back by popular demand...and the first part by the way is only seen and heard by winter, though those who are psychically or empathically sensitive will get a terrible sense of foreboding) "Winter..." The quiet voice sounded seemingly from everywhere at once, a thousand thousand echoes resounding within a thousand, thousand echoes. "Winter..." The voice was beautiful, honeyed and gentle. It was sweet and seductive, promising pleasure beyond wildest dreams at such a small cost as to be considered naught more than a trifle. Just a small thing, really. After all, what use IS a soul anyways? "Winter..." The voice teased and tantalized, calling on his darkest fears and deepest fantasies all in one, sapping will and strength. And then...there she was. All in black she was, long flowing dark hair cascading down her back in beautiful, sensuous waves. Her face was pale and her lips were red, her smile promised undreamed of pleasure...and damnation. She was beauty and she was darkness, she was lust and power and utterly, utterly evil and she was so very, very beautiful. She licked her lips, smiling at winter and whispered his name again. "Winter...my love...my champion...come to me..." And then she was gone, as though she had never been. ************************************************* Falcon was hard at work, mixing ingredients for another set of potions. Another group of students poisoned by cafeteria food and needing antitoxins. He shook his head. You'd think they'd have learned by now... Tiren assisted him, the blonde-haired paladin passing him the ingredients he needed as he needed them. They chatted amiably as they worked, their differences...for the moment...forgotten. Then Falcon jerked up, glancing around, and so did Tiren. They both looked at each other and Tiren frowned. "Did you..." Falcon nodded. "Aye, that I did. I sensed it, and recognized it. That way." The two leaped to their feet and rushed off in the direction of the memorial where the others stood. |

Damien heard Caleb's command to be silent but seeing as how he wasn't going to say anything else it was a pointless gesture. Of course now that he had told him to be quiet, the whole forbidden fruit theory kicked in. But Damien did have some restraint, so he said nothing more and set himself to regard the gathered students. The students picking themselves out of the wrecked foliage appeared unhurt. In fact the only one that appeared injured was the formless one. Damien did a quick check with his magic and confirmed his suspicions. That student had no blood and so was beyond Damien's healing abilities. Damien continued to scan the crowd. There was Caleb, chewing out another student. A couple guys that were sitting off to the side talking. A big group standing around Caleb and looking vaugley like a flock of sheep following a shepard. This caused Damien to think of Caleb dressed like a shepard... Damien let out a chuckle and kept moving his gaze around the courtyard. His eyes settled on a woman and a guy that looked like they were trying to hide from everyone. The woman might have intrested him if his magic didn't show him something intresting about the man. He had no blood. And while Damien wasn't surprised by anything at a school like this anymore, he was, in the losest sense, a doctor. Damien walked over to the two of them while they were deep in conversation. Which might explain why his greeting was unnoticed the first time it was given. Closer inspection revealed that the man had a pallor to his skin and a vauge smell of decay around him. Far from disgusted, Damien was highly curious about this man. After all, once you see a flesh golem there's not much left to disgust you. "Hey, what're you two up to? Anything intresting? So who are you both and are you actually alive?" That last question directed the the man. "I'm Damien, nice to meet you both. So do you know what's supposed to happen here?" |

((ooc: Its short but thats the basis, ill be adding details later when I can think clearyly, I just didn't want to hold anything up. SD kill me after my Physcis professor fails me... Please and thank you!)) Michael had been backed up the whole time just listening to the 2 students bicker amongst themselves, the others in their own little side group, he was just all around confused. This hadent been the day he had been planning at all. This unexpected stop to the courtyard was starting to lean more on the side of odd mishaps, than good luck. His hair just flapped around in the wind, he unclipped the belt that held his trenchcoat together. He opened up one side of the Trenchcoat and pulled out a small knife about as long at his wrist to fingertips. From the look of how Caleb had been chewing out the other student, he was very worried for his own saftey here. He did his best to conceal the knife, he didn't want to start the fight, just be prepared incase anything happened. He walked up to the man who approached the 2 students. "I dont think they would like to be talked to, but thats just my opnion." He put his hand on the students shoulder and softly nudged him away from the other two students. |

((OOC: Thank you, Shadow, you sweet piece of hotness. I'll take it from here. *Trumpets* She's back! Run for the Hills!)) Alara groaned as she pulled herself to a half-crouch, half-sitting possition beside the bizarre stranger. Apparently, people falling from the sky was a normality here among many other offbeat adventures. She would never get used to this, sighing in frustration. "If you have a sensitive question, why did you come in broad daylight when Caleb's friends were sure to be around?" she snapped at the man. Frustration was not one of her selling points, and right now, she was downright irritated at everything around her. "If you are clever enough, you wait 'til night, yes? Instead, you try to strangle me and ignore my mild curiosity. All I ask is simple questions, yes? Why don't you answer?" With an embarrassed chuckle, she recognized that tone in her own voice. Suddenly, her frown broke into a wide grin. Somewhere in there, she had thrown in Greek, and for some unknown reason, it struck her as funny. She was in better spirits, at least, and more than slightly regretful. "I apologize," she managed through the cuff of her wrist. "I tend to ramble, and cannot control myself well. May I ask your question while the good laughter lasts?" Her question was cut off by the approach of a new student.
Her giddiness melted away to pure confusion. "What do you mean...?" she turned to her surprise companion. She started. "Well, I'm certainly alive! See this tan? No ghost has this!" Thrusting out her arm for inspection, she tried to keep the unease boiling inside her from emerging. Just what did he mean? |

(OOC: I'm just gonna post now... Although I will admit I have never quite been so red from embarrassment when attempting to post before... And Tiren, its great to have you back. I edited what was originally supposed to happen in effort of fitting in your story, but I do need to talk to you via MSN messanger still) A smile crossed Caleb's face when he recieved Winter's message. He concentraited stretching his soul out toward Winter with a great amount of energy and vigor, wrapping his adopted brother in a fierce mental hug. Only probably Teo and Jake would catch a hint as to what was going on. Stay safe my brother, and come back to us soon- Caleb was cut off, thrown back into his own shell by some sort of strange, forebodding power. He groaned due to the sudden headache and intense pain throughtout his entire body. Whatever was contacting Winter gave the illusion of the sweetest light, but it was no more than the greatest shadow. This was the power Winter and Caleb had so feared returning, this was the power of Winter's dark maker, his ice queen. Right now, it didn't matter how much Caleb's pain was, he needed to get Winter out of the courtyard before that sweet tempation overtook the thing she felt was here little puppet. He twisted his body half around to look toward the essence of the raven, and more or less shouted a command like a general to a major: "GET HIM OUT OF HERE NOW!" The raven did not pause to obey, but rather simply faded with a rather dark message that it left for everyone to here... This one must stay, destiny states that his original path will end shortly, he will be addressed in Shadowside later... With that, it was gone leaving Caleb with the dark knowledge of the end of Winter's path, and the pure question of what and where the hell Shadowside was. He clutched his head and shook it once again, trying to relieve himself from the pounding headache and failing miserbly. "Just bloody wonderful..." he muttered under his breath, "I wonder if this is just her instead... maybe we don't have a new enemy after all..." Even if he tried to say it, he knew it wasn't true. Morgana was manipulative, but she would have presented herself to Caleb in a dream in some form that made him wish to serve her, as opposed to someone attempting to kill him. The the eathrel raven would have known far more about the situation if she had managed to destroy one. As they said, it seemed like the start of this next year was going to be an out of the frying pan and into the fire lifestyle. Caleb spoke softly aloud, so that everyone could hear him and know the gravity of the situation. "It seems like we will soon be playing host to mulitple opponents. Winter, Teo... is there any way for you two to manage to stay away from her touch while we attempt to take care of at least one of these problems?" In the meantime, he realized that several other events had happend. Although Jake's memory probably had something to do with the events unfolding, it was a another piece of the jigsaw puzzle that would be useless without other things to fit in with it. As for Iamo's question, Caleb could only respond with one thing... "Iamo, I wish I could tell you more... but a true king leads how he is needed to lead. I've never known anyone's destiny, and I'm not about to start delving into that gray area..." ____________________________________________________________________ Kaz sighed and stared at Alara, waiting for her to be done with her questions, which apparently wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Absently mindedly, his foot began softly tapping on the ground while his mind concentraited on listening to both her and the conversations that others were having. Finally, she admitted to the fact that she had trouble controlling herself. Kaz could understand that... in a way, he still had problems controlling himself from lashing out at others in otherwise normal circumstances, so instead of distancing him from Alara, it actually made him feel the same. "Sure, ask and I'll try to answer..." he stated, but he too was cut off by the statements and questions of another rather large individual who had just walked up. Alara misunderstood Damien's question of course, because the question had been directed at him. He did not know how to react to such a question, especially in front of another person... he had half a mind to silence this boy in a rather violent manner, but another person walked up! This was getting way too uncomfortable, Kaz for one of the first times since his return looked geniunely helpless to the situation at hand. "I... I..." Kaz looked between them, and then finally looked back to Alara. "That's what I was going to ask Caleb. There was more, but I don't even know how I would say it to him..." Kaz reeled upon Damien, looking a mixture between angry and lost. "Kaz of Progatha is my name, and I ask that you don't delve into the status of one's life condition. You have-" He stopped himself short of lecturing Damien and simply turned to leave the entire group. After all, it wasn't Damien's fault that he could sense that Kaz wasn't actually alive... "Nevermind. I'm out of here..." With that he set a maddening pace to get away from every single person at Anime High School. He walked toward the front gate, taking an ackward glance at a figure covered in a cloak walking through it... ____________________________________________________________________ Somewhere else in the world: "That should be enough energy to get the message to the guardian and those around him... but I will be watching for the rest of the time..." Judha ended the statement with a rather hearty laugh. He was sitting in a cross legged position on the roof of a building, his cloak fully blowing in the wind behind him. He sighed and focused once agian on the mind of Lance Lo'Thorum. Hopefully the messanger he had sent would put on a good show for the guardian and those who held his chains. After all, it was always good to send a message before you outright destroyed your enemy... but sometimes the messanger didn't like his job, and had to be encouraged a little more. The ogre sized human he had overtaken was doing a fine job on the other hand... the strike would soon be able to commence. |

((OOC: Shadowdragon, do you have MSN or something I can use to talk to you? I am feeling rather lost and would just like to have the chance to talk with you a bit so I can get a grasp as to what's going on. ^_^; )) Noriko had no idea what was going on. Everyone around her was asking all sorts of questions and talking about so many things which Noriko had never heard of. She had known Caleb for awhile...but at the same time she knew almost nothing about all of the events he had been through. It seemed to Noriko that she really didn't know as much about Caleb as she originally thought. However, that didn't change the fact that she loved him. She stood there quietly. She couldn't figure out what was going on, and it was frustrating her to no end.
Noriko stepped over towards Caleb. Her noice showed signs of nervousness and fear. She didn't like the sounds of what Caleb was talking about, "Caleb..." She said to him fidgeting with her hands like she always did when she got nervous, "What...what is going on? A multiple opponents?" She paused and frowned, "Please tell me what's happening..." |

Zeth blinked a few times. "Are we talking all guns blazing blowing things to hell multiple enemies or are we talking be ready cause this is only the first wave, and we might need to kick something's ass multiple enemies?" he asked more or less meaning are they gonna be tough opponents who are going to challenge them all or weaker ones they could take on individually. He obviously had no dealings in any of this before today, so naturally had no idea what most of them were talking about, just that it seemed most threatening and put simply definatley not good. He still wondered about the humanoid shape moving in towards them from the front gates, though he had almost let that go from his mind completely. It wasnt an intentional forgetting he just had other things on his mind. Decidedly he checked his gun to make sure it was loaded. He had it loaded and ready to go, even if he didnt plan on using it a back up plan was always nice. Hearing the raven's words did nothing to ease his mind, infact they made him a bit more un-settled. He could definatley say he didnt like how it sounded, and figured he was going to like whatever was to come next even less but he would simply have to wait around and find out. "This is gonna be interesting either way..." Slipping his weapon back into its holster he checked his other weapons systematically, and decided they were all fit for anything that would be coming. |

A tentative stammering brought him out of the bazaar world he had made for himself determining which mutations would take place if he lost control of this or that sense and what he’d look like in the afterward when his body compensated for the lost part. He turned his head to the offender’s side, the high finally loose from his lips. If looks could kill Brian’s eyes would hardly harm the smallest insect. It was his best foot forward leaning still against the memorials stone as one of the groups had apparently decided to join him sitting along the stone. “Hello, something you want? We are prepping for a sort of war.” Brian turned away noting now on what he had missed simply staring ahead at Cyra over the guy who had appeared out of no where within the group. He may or may not have been powerful that much Brian couldn’t tell however it seemed like already another person besides Caleb was now suffering from a mental attack. This time the harmless factor was rather out the window. However one major enemy never seemed to be enough as the Raven cawed out a cryptic statement about Winter. Whatever was going on it was suggesting a new path this little tragedy was to take. Caleb added to that announcing to everyone that a new enemy had walked into the stage. He was starting to feel claustrophobic again sitting with a group of people he knew nothing about watching them all fidget about steadily getting ready for whatever fight. Most of all though he noticed Zeth, he was gearing up his equipment but an point question, one someone at least vaguely aware of Caleb’s position at the school would be aware of. “He means a whole group, one group of one type of enemy then another group of enemies, basically we’re screwed in a sense, two sets of enemies all after… something they may be together or separate, but in the end it means things are one step worse now.” |

Curiosity melted away the bubbling unease as Alara tried to figure out what the tall stranger had said. All that she had heard was a series of mumbles and stutters, the equivalent of an American "You know, stuff." With a frown of ire, she chased after the man's retreating back. "What do you mean? Surely you can't be dead or you wouldn't want to figure out something about your soul, yes?" she managed through tight breaths. "Hey, wait! Who are you? What are you? Progatha? What is that? Tell me or I'll...I'll...I'll scream!" The grin on her face as she pushed her thin frame in front of the man was smug to say the least as she haughtily folded her arms. She couldn't back her bluff, proud as she was with finding something that could potentially make him answer to her, but that was a piece of information she could bear to keep hidden a moment more. "So, you were going to answer my questions, yes?" Alara asked, that silly grin beginning to spread faster. "Are you going to hurt Caleb...Not that I care specifically of course, but..." Oh no. She had lost her pride to embarrassment as she fumbled for the right phrasing. What if this man supposed...? A bright blush touched her cheeks as she awkwardly muttered her explainations in Greek, disregarding his understanding in her distraction. "That is, I cannot sit idly by and allow you to harm another student," she said primly. "Please, answer me or leave the school grounds...or stop bothering Caleb. I don't particularly care which...Just please choose quickly or I will have to make good on my threat." Well, at least she felt like screaming, now. Alara felt like screaming to the heavens with frustration, and it only seemed to happen whenever Caleb was involved. Idiot! Scoundrel! God, he was wonderful! |

Winter's soul's image, like his outer one. He would not have called it humility, but simply a practical attention to reality. The junior guardsman before the Guardian he served, both black sleeveless vest and hamadachi headband emblazoned with the golden sigil of Ravenguard, the long ties of the band waving in the soul-wind that ruffled the backswept bicolor wings of raven-black and Sanctuary-white. It was not unlike his first trip to Sanctuary - You will call me Winter-sama... AND YOU WILL CALL ME SERAPH... For all his power and skill, clearly the lesser, here, a servant... With no task to perform, no battle to fight, no training to undergo, he was unsure why exactly he had asked, and nearly pulled away, skittish as the threatened hawk his manner so resembled. He should be gone with the raven. There was no necessity - But Caleb had taken advantage of his mentor's hesitation to enfold him fiercely, and give him what he needed, yet avoided. Was this a taste of the Love that Teo was always going on about? To be surrounded by vastness, lifted up by it...and called brother - Winter's returning hug fiercer still, the joy an ache in him, as he felt he began to understand, just a little...finally, the student teaching his teacher. Stay safe my brother, and come back to us soon- Stay safe my brother, I will return - It was then that she struck. No attack from without, as he had expected, that he could fight, nothing that he could touch, or control. Simply echoes within echoes, forever, vibrating through his being... He had expected her to come for him, not that he himself would be her conduit to the mortal world. The power that had thrown off Caleb, had come from within him. For Teo, it had taken the final disappointment of a loved one's rejection, after a long ordeal, to break him. For Winter, it took Morgana to wait out the long war inside him. Between fear and longing, it kept him awake and aware, and away from others yet always watching them, it made his love fierce but hidden, and his temper vile. It was a sweet foretaste of her revenge. to merely watch him accept belonging finally, to find a hard won peace of soul, despite the dangers...and then, take it all away... He could feel his soul resonate to hers, with the thrice-called name. She showed him what he had been, and would be again. The soother of his many fears, the guarantor of his hopes and dreams, she showed herself to be, his dark-tressed angel. She was suddenly there, alluring, playing him, knowing him caught, for her own amusement. There was one of many hidden things, both fear and fantasy at once, that she would play with especially...The second part of her revenge, would be when he knew. She was the air around him, caressing him, the sweet breath of promise, and power. "Winter...my love...my champion...come to me..." His voice, whispered north wind. "Milady...my love...my Queen...I am yours...forever..." He heard, but did not heed the words around him. The sense of foreboding radiating from Winter intensified. "GET HIM OUT OF HERE NOW!" "This one must stay, destiny states that his original path will end shortly... He surrendered to an embrace no longer there. She left him burning, body and soul, but not from soulfire. Returned to his chosen form, laying against the tree, he stood, and opened his eyes to the unknowing scene around him. He walked slowly across the dais, and past the pillars. Looked, half-lidded and hungry, envious, at she who had touched him last - Cyra. ...Her unreadiness be damned, Teo had her to wife, and yet he did nothing! Winter would show them both what a real man did with a woman, he would cuckold the virginal fool, as the fool watched... "You would do no such thing, brother." The voice and the hand on his shoulder woke him from vision like an electric shock. He realised that these two, linked as they were, would read his intent as if spoken aloud. He knew then, that a year's worth of struggle, had proven worthless. Two pairs of eyes looked at him, troubled, but voice and touch were full of reassurance. Teo had not heard the queen's words, this time, as Winter did, but did not need to. He had heard them before. Know you, that I share your desire? Teo was solemn. But I wait, for she has asked it of me. Let no more be said, but come within to safety. Teo walked back between the pillars. When Winter followed, shaken badly at how easily he was overcome, he found himself still outside. Confused, he stepped back, to find Teo outside the pillars with him. "It...does not matter, Winter...we will deal with this together. Teo, too was shaken now, he knew what this meant. He had not been able to enter this place, the entire time he was under Morgana's control. Under the control of her tool, Winter. Winter, who was backing away, blue eyes wild and terrified. "Don't let him go!" cried Kino, as Imao and Kuron looked on puzzled. Kino lungerd in Winter's direction, but Kuron held him back. This had become a vortex of confusion, where nothing made sense. There was only the need for answers that they knew must be here, and the foreboding feeling that they were meant to be here, in this place, at this moment. That, somehow, someone's survival might depend upon it. "I couldn't resist...she just...and I...I can't...I heard the raven! It said my path would end!...I am damned - " Winter suddenly vanished...and as suddenly, reappeared in the running path of the only two who knew Morgana better than he, Tiren and Falcon. Wings raIsed as if poised for sudden panicked flight, he froze... Even in the scabbard, he could feel it tearing at him. Knew that even hidden, Excalibur glowed with the fiery blue of warning, the warning of evil's taint. |

), and this officially takes place just after the graduation ceremony. If you have anymore questions, just ask, and I shall try to answer... PS: several flashes coming from people who aren't in the courtyard... so don't pretend to know everything that is going on...)
