Kenji wiped sweat off his forehead. "I have to do this..." He swung his sword through the air again, and again. But no reaction. "Why can't I do this!" Kenji began to scream to the sky. "Is my heart not pure? Is my quest not noble?! Am I not worthy?!" he screamed swinging his sword harder and faster, the tall grass he was training in was torn up with the freocity of his swings. He fell to one knee. And gripped his wounds. He had just recently been released from the hospital, and really shouldn't even be walking around. His wounds screamed with protest of his training.

Ronin sighed from his position hovering in the air. "You really ought to be resting still. You must truly wish to harness the sword's power huh? Well...If you insist on doing this..." The angel spoke to Kenji as his wings flapped slower and slower, allowing him to descend onto the sweat stained and torn grass.

"Then get up! If you wish to become strong enough to weild the sword you must learn to use only your will to continue on when your body gives in!"

"Are you mocking me..." Kenji said sliding back, incase the angel had come to slay him. Last time a demon came and interupted his training, this time an angel... great... Kenji reilzed that the angel was the same one who was with Kammy in the hospital. He sheathed his sword. and closed his eyes. "Ahh... Ronin was it? What are you doing here?" he asked puzzled.

"I told you that I would help you train. But you might have been three-fourths of the way passed out at the time though. I can't remember exactly." He shook his head and smiled. "Well, I guess we have some time till he gets here anyways. So you can have a moment or two to rest."

"Until who gets here?" Kenji said sitting down and wipeing sweat off his forehead. He sheathed his sword and rested on it. He wondered why Ronin would help him.

He laughed at the thought of who he had invited. How was this boy to fight someone with a sword that could slice most into pieces with a single swing. Ronin shrugged.

Well, it is a good opportunity to test the sword's strength

"Chrono" He waited for a moment before explaining more. "Chrono is my best friend and an expert swordsman. But he uses a much...much bigger sword that normal people would even consider. That sword probably weighs more than you and me. Not combined but still more that you or me. And he swings it as if it were nothing!"

occ-sorry for not being on lately. You see my comps been acting up... it's sick or something

Kenji had seen his share of fights... He was sure that him not being strong enough wasn't the case. It wasn't that he was too injured either.... but really how could he know... One thing for sure is he might not be able to rely on his sword any more. In either case Being stronger couldn't hurt. "Thanks." Kenji said his familiar smile returning to his face. "I'll take any help you and your friend can give me." Maybe talking with a fellow swrodsmen would help.

ooc- Don't worry about it, I have had more than enough of my share of posts to keep me busy :D

"No problem, I consider it an obligation to my fellow student."

Ronin laughed at this and looked around at the surroundings. Chrono was supposed to have been there by now, and yet what took him. He didn't have any other plans for the day did he? Of course Ronin had simply yelled at his friend to get his butt down to the Meadows around noon or so to help someone out. He didn't bother to ask if he had had any plans.

"Ok... My name is Kenji Ausamatu," he said with smile and a slight bow to Chrono. "Are you the swordsmen who's goning to train me?" Kenji said taking a defensive postion.

"Well since I was volunteered..." He said with a glare at Ronin. "I guess that'd be me.

The huge sword that he carried on his back was lifted free of its makeshift sheath. His large right hand had grabbed the hilt and slid it up and over his shoulder. Chrono was vry tall compared to most people, and his sword was almost his own tremendous height. The steel almost sparkled in the light of day. He grinned at Kenji and looked to Ronin.

"He will use that toothpick of a sword?" His friend nodded and the large swordsman shrugged. A broken sword could be fixed, this boy's weapon was no match for his own. Or at least he thought. After all, His weapon is also enchanted.

Ronin stared thinking to himself.
Chrono usually goes overboard and seriously hurts his training partner. Perhaps the weapon truly activates when he is in serious danger?

The swordsman lifted it off his shoulder and held it in front of him with both hands. Since he noticed that Kenji was in a defensive stance, he decided to take the offensive. A quick horizontal slice shot across at the boy from his massive weapon. Chrono had trained with swords of that and less mass his whole life. Of coourse he would be able to wield it pretty much like a smaller sword.

occ- finally some action... hey you wouldn't happen to have enough time to join my struggleing site?

Kenji removed his glove. Revealing his hand constantly a blaze. He gripped his sword and the flame engulfed it. The sword was desgined to absorb and use the spiritual power of the ausamatu family power.

Suddenly a powerful swing came from Kenji's opponent. Kenji took a few quick steps back, and moved his sword forward. Instead of trying to stop his opponent's massive strike, he went with it, he let the force of Chrono's swing, to push kenji's blade around, using that force to move into a spin. This spin powered by chrono's original swing, in adittion to kenji adding his own swing to the equation led up to a fast and powerful counter strike.

Chrono saw he hit coming, though his weapon wasn't going to be able to block it in time. So, he used the one thing left available to him that wouldn't involve simply kicking the kid back. His right hand let go of his sword and shot out. Throughout the years of training and street living, his hands had become almost like steel. But he knew that this would hurt no matter what. Whether by the flames or by the sword, it would be painful. His hand did indeed catch the sword half-way to him, but it was extremely troublesome. The blade had pushed iself a good half inch into his palm, and the fire covered his hand, slowly burning off the bandages. Still he persisted, he wished to snap the sword in two now! Most weapons he could easil break with no troubles, this one however was more...problematic than that. The more he tried to snap it, the more the fire burned him. After a moment, Chrono gave up and released the sword. Tearing a piece off of the sleeve of his shirt, the swordsman wrapped it around his hand once again. Blackened flesh had shown briefly after the bandages from before had burned partly off, so he needed to cover that up again.

Upon completeing that task, he smiled at Kenji. "Well kid. That's a fine little weapon ya got there. I couldn't snap the stupid thing! And it even gave me this little scratch!" Chrono laughed it off and turned to Ronin. "Is this all you wanted from me? Or can I go back to screwing around yet? Probably gonna go the lake later or something." Nodding silently, Ronin continued watching the sword as his friend began to walk off. Nice to meet ya Kenji. Sorry I couldn't stay longer. But Ronin here will teach ya a thing or two. He is better with smaller weapons like you. Plus is far faster than I am. Listen to him and you'll become great in no time!"

Kenji gasped for breath. "Th-thank you..." he called out. even that little movement and power took it out of him. But he probably could have gone longer. "Now... I'm sure... that the reason I can't tap into the power of the sword... isn't a lack of swordsmenship... or streagth... but... ever since that last battle I can't use it anymore... could it be the power is gone for good?"

Shaking his head, Ronin spoke softly. "Powers never truly fade, they simply go into a hybernation until truly need again. Perhaps you just need to unlock this power once again. I bet that you just need the right leverage." Thinking for a mement, the angel sighed. "Now what kind of situation were you in when you used the power for the first time? Maybe you need to re-enact that moment in time?"

"You don't understand the situation." Kenji said he draggd his blade against it's sheath, and as the tip reached the end he slipped it in. "This isn't one of those when I really need it ultimate attack thing that you see in animes... This isn't some kind of role playing site where a problem can be solved just by a twist in events..." Kenji spoke blissfully unaware....

occ- XD

"I used to use the power of this blade all the time... it was as easy from me as a standard slash... but when I ran away fr.... when I left home... I just couldn't use it anymore... and all my other powers also seemed to fade alittle..." Kenji let it slip. Even his own girlfriend didn't know of his troubled past. "I know... it's not because I left the gengeral area of my home... cause I left home on 'vacation' and use powers there.... for some reason... now I can't use it anymore..." he said solemly.

Then it clicked. He had thought he figured out what was wrong with his friend's powers. "I think I might know what the problem is Kenji. I think your a coward! You ran away because you were scared of something or you just didn't have enough courage to face someone." He shrugged. "We all have our little fears..." Ronin and his best friend only feared one main thing. Along with several smaller things as well, but one thing scared them more than anything else. The thing that killed him and only left his friend alive because it didn't see him through his blood. The blood of his own blood had covered his best friend to save him. But he could only imagine how hard it had been for Chrono seeing everyone near to him die twice. "Now, what to do about your little cowardice problem...."

Kenji stood. "I am no coward..." he looked to Ronin. "I do not fear death, for dieing would be like sleeping... for a long time.." he said looking away. "I didn't run away... I was exiled... But regardless.. I will do anything with in my power to keep me alive if only long enough to finish things... that... thats why I have to gain this power!" he said rasing his sword. But it's brilliant glow seemed to fade more when he said the word me. Seeing this his eyes diliated slightly and fell back. "The sword to protect people... what a joke.. we can't even protect ourselves..."
