NOTE: This SL takes place before SD24's SL...Sam_I_am2714 wanted me to let you know that

Chrono waited patiently for the people he had invited to this little tournament, to show up. Sure he showed up a bit early for it, but he had to draw out the tournament bracket and get the eleven slips of paper ready. Though he had come here a few hours early, he had expected that at least some people would come see this. After all, this was a Tournament. Usually people like to get their seats early. Then again, perhaps only the people in it would show. He sighed just as a footsteps was eard from across the Arena. It was Ronin.

Chrono and Ronin walked into opposite sides of the arena in order to test each other's skills before this tournament. After all, they had both changed a lot since back then...

*Flashback* The two boys smashed together, each throwing a flurry of punches and kicks. After working each others defenses down for three hours, they jumped back to their staring positions, sweating heavily and breathing profusely. Bruises covered every inch of their bodies, but still neither of them would give in, dying to prove which was the better fighter. The black haired boy was naturally much stronger but the one with blond was far more agile.

The street was filled with crowds of every nationality of people. Within this crwd were the other kids that have entered the competition, ALL had been beaten, but only a few suffered broken bones. Others had only obtained bruises from this pair of fghters. Though there was one entity within this crowd that was there to find something or someone, though it was not yet known who this person was or who he had come to retrieve.

This entity was what caused Chrono's downfall in that competition. He took one look and saw his face, a face that reeked of power and... That was all that he could figure out what feelings came from him before Ronin's elbow knocked him unconsious. He still did not know what the other feeling that eminated from him was though...*end flashback*

Chrono smiled at Ronin's from across the arena, as he realized hat Ronin was reliving their past as well.

"So Chrono, are you ready to actually finish the fight this time?"

"That was when we first became friends. And that was a cheap shot in that fight!"

"In tournaments there is no such thing as a cheap shot! Now let's begin!"

They knew each other well enough to know that neither would use their weapons without the other's consent. Ronin and Chrono both rushed at one another, fists flying and legs trying to knock the other persons from under them. For hours the two fought, at one point Chrono had caught Ronin's temple with a hard right hook but he was left open slightly. That was all that it took for him to send a swift leg into Chrono's mid-section, knocking the wind out of him. They both jumped about ten feet back, massaging their small bruises.

"Wow Ronin, you really ARE much better than you were back then!"

"You as well Chrono! Back then a hit like that would have probably taken off my head!"

So it looks like you will not need my assistance after all! This fool is just as weak as you are! His maniacal laugh could be heard inside Chrono's mind.

I am tired of your shitty-ass remarks! If you arent going to be productive, DONT SPEAK!!!

Ronin glared at Chrono, as he thought that he was being ignored.

"Hey Chrono, did you forget about me or something? Quit spacing off!"

"Hold on I'm thinking!"

"About what?

"About how to remove 'it' from me! After this tournament, I want to discover a way. He is jsut plain getting annoying now!"

Why of all people had he asked her to come to his little tournament? There were a few problems with the whole idea of it. First off she really did not like the idea of fighting others just for the sake of fighting. It would test her skills against her peers at the school, but she had never really been very thrilled by the idea of fighting others. She had never really wanted to fight anyone, but sometimes it was necessary at times. This did not feel like it was one of those times, but no matter how much she tried she could not refuse an invitation like this especially from Chrono. No matter how hard she tried she could not forgive herself for the way she acted toward Chrono and Ronin. Though she had said that she would give Chrono another chance to make a better first impression she never really did. It was hard to do so after there initial first meeting. She had thought that maybe it was the rune that made her feel so negatively toward him, but out of everyone she had met he was the only one. She did not understand why that she felt that way, but here she was going to give him yet another chance.

There was another reason that she did not want to go to this little tournament and yet again it stemmed from Chrono. During there travels with Okaru and the terrible tragedy that had become of that journey she had realized something that she did not notice before. It was a simple fact, but she was deathly afraid of demons. Past circumstances made it wholly clear why she was this way. Being controlled for countless centuries by a demon made her more then a little wary of them. It was as if another one would do the same thing to her again. It was less then likely, but the fear that had been planted so long ago had begun to sprout and flourish during the journey to the labs. It was here that she also saw that Chrono himself had a demon inside him. Normally no one would worry about such a thing as he seemed to be in control of the wretched cur that dwelled inside him, but Aura still remained wary and it made it even harder to pull herself into the arena.

It was a nice day and very spiritually strong overall. A very spiritually perceptive person could notice that and it made Aura even a little more worried. Lately there had been more and more angered spirits traipsing about and causing damage. Hopefully it was just a normal day, but there was no way of knowing for sure what would happen this day. One thing for sure and that was that there were spirits running about today and luckily they were just normal wayward spirits still attached to this world. She sighed as she passed them dancing about carelessly. She jumped gracefully into the ring where both Chrono and Ronin huffed and puffed. A smile crossed her face, but it was a feigned smile. She could not help but be worried that any moment Chrono could change and lash out at her. Hopefully Ronin would be able to stop him, because she had no idea to what she would do if she could do anything against a demon.

“G-good afternoon,” she stuttered folding her hands together and giving a slight bow to both of them. “I decided to come. I hope that is all right.” No matter how hard she tried she could not hide the nervous feeling she felt being around Chrono, but she had felt the same way when she had talked to Okaru after their little escapade. She had talked to neither Ronin nor Chrono since then, even though maybe she should have talked to Ronin. Maybe she should have asked him about Trinity. Where did angels go when they died? Ronin of all people should at least know that no matter how unangelic he acted. He was an angel after all was he not?

((ooc. please note Chrono set his SL before SD's because Eona meets her demise there, therefore Eona may participate ooc.))

She had found the note on the refrigerator it was a simple note Chrono had left, It read

Hey Eona Come join this little tournament I am making, it’s at the arena, it’ll be fun

She finished making her hot chocolate and her scrambled eggs, jumped in for a quick shower threw her clothes on which showed because she had put her jacket on backwards and hadn't noticed.

Eona had run through the halls all the way to the arena. When she finally arrived in the arena her hair was disheveled and stood out at odd angles. She strode up to the center of the arena where Chrono and Ronin were at a stand off.

A sudden thought came to her if this really was tournament she would have to fight someone. Hopefully they wouldn't beat her to a shriveled pulp. Then she remembered her sparring matches with her brothers and even her father. She had done quite well at the time because of her stature she was quick and hard to hit.

Her focus was directed towards the Youngman she met on the roof top when she met Alara. Ronin was his name he was taunting Chrono which was typical for boys to do. Eona cleared he throat loudly and said “So boys how’s it going.” Eona had missed the “it” comment and even if she had herd it she would have passed it off as boy talk.

*It had been a while since Daisuke had a good challenge. He had not been doing a ton of sparring with others (most of his training was by himself as of late), and he had not really had much of an outlet to compete in anything. However, a huge chance had suddenly been given to him. Since it had been such a long time, he was even more fired up than usual and ready to compete against whoever he was slated to fight, no matter if he was 10 times stronger than his opponent or his opponent was 10 times stronger than him. Not knowing whether weapons were allowed, he brought his sword with him; after all, he could set it aside if weapons were not allowed, but if they were and he did not have one he could be at a distinct disadvantage.

Ken'ichi saw this a bit differently. Instead of a mere competition, he had decided to use this as an opportunity to both better his fighting ability and to see how well he can do in a fighting situation. Most people would probably bring things like swords and guns to a fighting competition -- that or just use raw strength -- but Ken'ichi had brought along a guitar. This may seem like a really odd thing to bring to a fight, but chances are his opponent would have no clue what he could do with that guitar. He also brought a backpack with a few spare shirts in it in case he needed to use his other power, though this he set aside rather than carrying it with him into the arena.*

Zoan was needing a chance to to fight some people. After all, it had been a while, mostly sparing matches. Everybody's been teasing him in a sense. But here was his oppurtunity. A tournament.

"Yeah buddy!" Zoan said quietly to himself as he entered the Arena.

As he reached the Tournament Ring (or w/e would be there) He saw a few people standing around. He walked up to them, sizing all of them up. None of them seemed to be too bad, but Zoan figured that anyone up against him should be a good match. He wondered who he was fighting against anyways.

"Hey, do any of you guys know where the Fighting Schedule is?"

He walked into the arena in a composed manner, much like his master had taught him how to present himself in a fight. His long black hair was tied back with a single black string, allowing it to move freely on the occasion that he needed it to, without allowing it to get in his eyes. He was still wearing his half moon sunglasses, mostly because they were indeed a fashion statement (after all, they didn't even actually cover his eyes). He wore another simple yet extravegent black silk suit with a white Seraph tuxedo style overcoat, which helped to mostly hide the Kodachi he would be using in today's events. It hung from his swordbelt rather heavily today, as if complaining at his dission to attend this event was completely wrong.

Inside, his was a storm of tormoil. First off, he had broken his promise to his master that he would not fight anyone unless he had to, or was at least about to do so. Second, this fight might just give the Devil's Star the opputunity it had been looking for to show off its own hidden powers... it already seemed to occasionally be pulsing in anticipation... or was that his own heart? Rem had signed up for this mostly as a split second idea as the list for sign ups was being taken down, mostly because he wanted to see some of the things the legendary AHS students were capable of. However, his brain continued to chew on that statement, telling him that if he wanted to watch, he should have been in the stands.

Remeium simply walked up to the group of people, stared at them for a few seconds, and then got the idea that he was about to be in a world of hurt. At least if he lost his fight, it would not be too bad of a break from his decree....

Chrono showed a sigh of relief as he noticed almost everyones participance. He had even brought in another friend of his to referee the following matches. Chrono looked over at the person who had hopped in the ring with them. Aura stood there talking to them. But something about her voice seemed different. Almost scared.

"Is there something wrong Aura? Your not still mad that we overheard Okaru's conversation are you?"

Ronin decided not to speak. He saw something in her eyes that was different from when he had first met her. When they had met she seemed confident in herself, ready to face the challenge of going with Okaru. Now She was a bit nervous of something. He bowed back to her and smiled happily though.

"Good Afternoon Aura." He decided not to ask what exactly was the matter. At least not yet.

Trying to help Chrono create a tournament was easy enough. It was getting the people to show up that was difficult. Hell, all they had to do was draw up a simple bracket and have a little sign up sheet. He had to leave a few notes for people because hardly anyone actually signed the paper. Oh well, from the looks of things it was going very good anyways. He had placed eleven contestants in the bracket, so far there were nine here. what was taking the other one? What was taking Yuki?

He should be here by now. Ronin checked his watch and looked towards the entrances to the Arena. What's taking him, Damnit!? The numbers are going to be chosen soon! Just as Ronin thought this to himself he noticed a shadowy figur coming towards the Arena. The angel sighed and began to go speak to the late boy in training. haking his head as he came up to him, he looked into his face. Ifrait stood there smiling.

"Sorry I'm late, I had some stuff to do. So when does this thing start?"

"Oh it's just you Iffy. Go get the number box from the table over there." Ronin sadly pointed to A lone table next to the ring, holding a square black box with a hole in the top, just large enought to fit a grown man's hand inside.

Reluctantly Ronin pulled himself back up onto the stage and stood next to Chrono, awaiting the ten minutes to pass. Yuki would be considered forfeit if he did not show up for his match. A good fighter is never late, they are on time and face their opponent with dignity. He began to wonder if Yuki knew this concept yet.

Chrono simply stood there smiling and greeting everyone who showed up till Eona came. She was flying into the stadium with her jacket on backwards and she looked absolutely disheveled.

"Umm, Hi Eona. What happened to you? Oh well, I have to start now. It is time." Chrono asked everyone to stand in a line so that he could see everyone. After they did so and quieted down he began to speak again.

"Okay everybody, thanks for coming today. It is gonna be lots of fun fighting each other. You are all very strong opponents and will each get the chance to fight an opponent of equal or stronger talent. But remember, only one person will win this tournament. I apologize that I do not have any special prizes to award to anyone here other than the right to be called the champion of the tournament. But that is why I only asked some of you to come, not an army of people to compete. So, lets begin. Ifrait, go ahead."

Iffy nodded and stood in front of each person in the row while they each chose a slip of paper from the box while Chrono explained.

"These numbers will determine your opponent for the first round. Because we have an odd number, one person will get a bye for it. But that also means that one person will have an extra fight on their hands."

Upon passing them all out he asked everyone to tell Ronin their numbers as he wrote them down.

((OOC: okay, these are everyones numbers going down this list.))

10 Chrono

03 Ronin Natsumura

02 Zoan Necro

11 Hinakura Yu(Snowbunny) and Witsliver(Wits)

09 Yuki Katashi

07 Ricor Ru’thon

01 Remeium Kanti

05 Aura

06 Daisuke Kobayashi

08 Ken'ichi Yamakawa

04 Eona Siri

After Ronin finished adding everyones names on the sheet, he held the brachet sheet up in front of everyone to see.

Posted Image
((OOC: I didnt have the time to add in the names and stuff. Plus I did this on Paint casue I was short on time))

"You will face your opponents in an hour, do whatever you wish to get ready for this."

He turned to Ronin and smiled. "I sounded so cool!! I felt just like those announcer guys on TV."

Zoan saw that he was number 2....He looked up at the bracket that was made realatively crudely (( :P )) Number 1...He was going against someone named Remeium Kanti.

He started looking around for someone named Remeium. He never heard of the name before, so he had no idea who the person was. He walked up to Chrono, and asked, "Hey, whose Remeium Kanti?" Chrono pointed towards a man with a sheathed sword...appearing to be a Kodachi. Zoan knew his swords...Afterall, he had two himself, a custom Single Sided Broadsword, as well as a masamune.. ((Yeah, you heard me right, I finall decided to give his sword an actual name, I finally found one that I like..ALOT))

Zoan started walking up towards Remeium. The large Broadsword was hovering over his head, as his new masamune held in his hand, resting on his shoulder. As he came closer to Remeium, he wondered how good of a fight this may become.

“No there is nothing wrong,” she replied trying to shake the nervous feelings that clouded her mind. She had to trust that Chrono could control his inner demon, but there was a lack of trust on that accord. The first time they had met he seemed so arrogant and she truly despised that, but she was learning that sometimes it was just a show to impress people. Had he been trying to impress them that day in the forest? Maybe that was it and he had just gone a little overboard. It was not that she could sense demonic presences was it? Chrono did seem different, but that was all in her head. Seeing him as a demon changed her perception of him, but then it would probably change anyone’s perception to see someone change into a demon like that.

She had remained silent for more then a few moments now even after being asked the question that she had actually come here to answer. Was she still mad at them for eavesdropping? No and the fact of the matter was that she could not really tell why she had been upset in the first place. Both of them did not seem like bad people on the outside. Chrono had his faults and Ronin was less than angelic, but she should not have held onto something like that. It was a mistake correct. Maybe it was just Trinity, that poor angel girl that had saved her and all of them. Was she trying to prove something to her even though she had never even taken the time to get to know her? There was little time to do so at all though. It seemed as if they had met and then she was gone. Maybe that was the problem. She was trying to prove that inside she was stronger then she actually was, not just to Trinity and everyone else, but also to herself. Maybe that was why she had such a hard time accepting both of them as friends as she saw them as rivals, but she did not need rivals nor did she desire to have them as such. She would rather have them as friends, demon or not, angel or not.

“I am sorry about that, I truly am. I was much more upset then I should have been and I hope you both can forgive me for being so cold and not being an open friendly person like I true so hard to be,” she said bowing once more hoping that they could put the past behind them and try to start over for better or for worse.

Chrono turned and listened to her. Once she had finished the two boys stood there smiling at her.

"No problem Aura. But I guess that it is partly our fault for being so rude when we first met you. Of course, I always try to remember something I heard from somewhere. No matter how hard you try to impress someone with your first impression, it will never work. You will mess up and ruin it, causing a person to think that you are a way that you are not. So, perhaps we should start over again." Ronin simply stood there and nodded in agreement. "Hello miss, my name is Chrono." Then his friend replied promptly after. "And mine is Ronin Natsumura. Might I ask what yours is?" The angel asked politely.

Aura had never heard of that expression before, but she had heard some very strange ones skipping centuries between living. Not many of which were very memorable or ones that she really wanted to remember at all to begin with. Chrono’s, however, was very accurate for the case that was previously before them. She had view their actions as rude, some may have viewed them as mischievous or just pure boyish antics, but she had felt it not in accordance with the situation they were forced with at the time. Okaru did not see it that way, but Okaru was different then she was. They had seemed to be equally tortured in life, but they were far from the same as people, if either of them could even be considered ‘normal’ people.

Starting over would be absolutely necessary. They could, and should, remember what happened to them, but starting over and trying to be friends felt right. It felt as if it should be just to honor the memory of Trinity. She smiled at the idea, but her smile quickly faded as both of the boys reintroduced themselves to her. Why had they done that and why were they asking her name? They knew what her name was and her smile that had been there quickly turned into a rather dumbfounded confused look. She did not understand what they were doing, but that was only momentarily. Of course! If they were to start over they would not know each others names and it was necessary to introduce themselves once again. The concept was a bit foreign, but finally she had grasped the concept of what the two boys were doing and once again smile was on her face.

“Hello. It is very nice to meet you Chrono and Ronin,” she stated giving both a polite little bow as she said their names one after another. It seemed like such a silly concept introducing herself to someone she already knew as if they had had amnesia and they had to get reacquainted for a second time. It was not that it was awkward, but kind of childish. Childish though in a way that she rather enjoyed playing along. “My name is Aura. I hope that we all can be very good friends.”

Keiko, may this all be in your memory. I couldn't bring your change.
[ * * ]
Yuki had never really been a big fan of fighting, himself at least. He always enjoyed a good action movie or show, but he was really poor fighter himself. At least until recently. With his two training sessions under Chrono and a new drive to better himself, the boy was becoming able to handle himself better at AHS. He still wasn't quite on level with the rest of his class, but he had come a long way from the weakling he was when he first came to this school. At least in his opinion.

In the few weeks since his most recent training session with Chrono, Yuki had been frequenting the gravity chambers at least every other day. Not that he had gone beyond three times gravity in any one of these visits, he was still becoming much stronger. His speed and agility showed the improvement the most. However, as he didn't use bots at all, his reflexes are still at the same level they were when last he trained with his teacher.

Having got slightly lost on his way to the arena today, the seemingly albino boy was running a bit behind. He had recieved an invitation to this tournament from Chrono at the end of his last training session with him and was a bit skeptical at first. But after these repeated visits to the gravity chambers, Yuki was confident he'd have a little bit more to show his teacher. Knowing he wouldn't make it past his first fight, all he wanted was to show his teacher that he was devoted enough to train on his own and that it showed. That was all that really mattered to him in this tournament.

Arriving finally, he spotted two figures across the arena. Yuki recognized one of them as Chrono, but didn't know the other. Sprinting over to them, he gave a simple greeting to Chrono. "Hey, Chorno. Sorry I'm late. I've never been to this part of campus before." He started, hoping his teacher wouldn't be to angry for his tardiness. "Who's you're friend?"

He brightened up as he noticed the boy. It had been a little while since the two had last met in the gravity chambers. And from the looks of him, he had improved a lot considering his condition when they had first met. Back when he broke a few of Yuki's bones. But he did think that Yuki was much stronger than he truly was.

"Don't worry about it, you got a bye the first round anyways. Yuki, this is my best friend Ronin. I have known him since we were very small children." Gesturing for Ronin to greet the boy as well. "Well Ronin, go ahead."

He held out his hand reluctantly to the stranger. Though he liked most people, he didn't like it that Chrono had his own pupil! It wasnt fair! He was the same strength as his friend and the two were even in every fight they had been in. "Hey Yuki...I'm Ronin." An almost scornful tone breached his mouth but he controlled it so that he merely sounded angry.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a minute, he realized that everyone else had finished their matches as well. So he turned to face them all once again. "Allright, congradulations on those who finished as victors. And congradulations to those who were defeated, I bet that you all lost honorably in battle. Now you all have until tommorow to join the next round, unless you would wish to begin as soon as possible?"

As Chrono faced towards the victor's as well as the losers, and gave a small speech, Zoan faced towards Chrono, to hear it better.

He looked around for who he would be fighting next. The winner of match 2. He didn't know who won, so he ran up to the Tournament Bracket.

"Let's see here..Match 1...Me and rem...I won....Match 2...Ronin vs Eona...Ronin won...So I'm facing Ronin....Who's Ronin?"

Zoan began to start looking for this mysterious Ronin character. Zoan had no idea where to start looking though.

"Yeah, I heard you did too, congradulations!" Zoan took another look around. "Yeah, I'm looking for my next opponent..." Zoan looked around some more.
