The drawbridge closed and Amara opened a door in the castle, to the castle library. A few moments later the young princess returned, flipping through one book, as she approached the full group of sages, sans one. "There's only one book on the Shadow Sage...apparently, the Shadow benders were the people who lived in the city of Babylon. They thought they were powerful enough to ascend to the heavens themselves. As the Bible writes this too, but the Croxia, the religion of the benders, says more about it. Apparently, the land that was Babylon was turned into the source of pure Shadow energy...deathifying. The last Shadow Sage's spirit was sealed within the Cavern of Evil, named by those who survived the ruinification. They called it evil because of what shadow-bending had done to their people. That's how Shadow bending got its bad name. But its just misunderstood. But it says here that when the time comes for the sages to be brought together, a Shadow sage will be awakened within the destined...lover...of...the..." Amara stopped. She didn't want to say it or believe it. But she had to...for the good of the team. "Light Sage. This is going to be harder than I thought...we have to find my destined lover. Any thoughts?" |

The cave of evil, a place that was all too famiilar for Cyrus. This was where that he found out that he was to be the squire of the sages. He called upon the power of the golden axe and the form of Ouranus. He was covered in silver armor as his weapon gave off a dim light. It was just enough to give them some illumation from the deep darkness. "Well what do you know? He's a personal night light too." "Shut up Viola." Viola blew a strand of hair off her face while she looked at Amara. "If you ask me, if this so called "true love" was here, don't you think this person should have been here by now?" Cyrus had smacked her upside the head and soon enough the two got into a heated argument. "Oh yeah, pretty big talk since you don't have any elemental bending powers to speak of!" "Don't need them, I have other skills to fall back on. Unlike you however." Viola's cheeks warmed up as she tried to find the closest object she could use to beat this boy up with hard. |

Violin was one of the last one's to enter the castle. He was following Greg Green, and continuously bugging him. "Hey, you know that this is when the journy ends. We get here, and everybody we know pops out, and says, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIOLIN!" right? That's the only reason why you guys are here. To help evade me from thinking that it's a birthday party for me. Even if it isn't my birthday, I don't care." Violin continued on. They reached the Library, and Amara grabbed a book that was about Shadow Sages. "Light Sage. This is going to be harder than I thought...we have to find my destined lover. Any thoughts?" Violin stepped forward. "Well, isn't it obvious!" Everyone turned their ears towards Violin. They were thinking he might say something important for once. "You don't need to look too far!" Everyone was leaning closer so they could hear him better. "The one your suppose to love is......ME!" Violin points two thumbs towards himself, and everyone does that Anime Fall thing. "It's the truth, I'm the best looking one out of this bunch. Why wouldn't I be the one you love?" Violin batted his eyelashes towards Amara slightly, and saw the death stares coming from Eli and Greg. |

Amara had enough. Violin's cocky attitude was really disturbing her, and she simply cracked, and slapped him across the face, intended to sting. "Listen. You're the AIR sage and know NOTHING of Shadow, and didn't even have a shadow dream. And plus that, love isn't about looks, either. And how dare you assume you're the best looking one of all these guys?" and with that, to prove her point, she grabbed Eli and kissed him, trying to submit Violin's ego for the benefit of the group. |

"Oh yeah, at least I have an element! Why the hell are you even here to begin with?! You're pretty just an erand boy for us. So why don't you be a good squire and just..." Viola had the wind knocked out of her as Cyrus struck her hard in the gut with a right punch from his gauntlet covered hand. He wasn't sorry for what he did, he knew that it would have happened eventually. However, using a little bit more tact would have definitely been necessary in this situation. After watching Amara kiss Eli, he changed into his Abadon form and pulled out his hammer. With all of his might, he slammed the head down on the ground, making a pretty strong rumble. "Okay, that's enough. Amara, I think everyone has been pretty frayed. I know we should be looking for the sage of shadow, but we should probably take a break. |

((Zoan, I'd appreciate not modding my character without my permission. Otherwise...*brandishes Nagi-sama*)) It was an absolue surprise to him when Amara kissed him; of course, he wasn't expecting it at all, even going so far to whisper afterwards 'You just...do that whenever you feel like' at the randomness of it all. After exhaling quickly and shaking it off, knowing that he'd not get far with Amara, not to mention he wasn't really for the ladies for the moment. "Right, well...Relax is good. Even though my idea of relax is totally different from yours, fine." He wasn't even going to bother stabbing Violin through the face with his claws. He wasn't caring enough at the time. But thoughts were occuring to him quickly. "Amara, search for the history of Shadow in Croxian legend and tell me what you get. I'm prbably about to head back to the Sanctum." |

Later, after going to the palace library, Amara had returned with a book...an oddly think book. "This was the only book on the Shadow Croxia I could find, and I didn't even know it existed, it was way in the back of the library. It's almost like it was hidden for a reason. I had to literally dig through dust to get it out of its hiding place. But I did find something out, but it's not good news...the Shadow Sage and Shadow-benders died near the beginning of time, in the destruction of Babylon, which is where the Cavern of Evil is now. It was said that when the time came for the sages to be reunited, the destined lover of the Light Sage would be awakened as the Shadow Sage...and he would be someone the Light Sage met before, and she would know through some event. So I guess we have to wait..." Suddenly, breathless, a handmaiden and two guardsmen entered the courtyard. "YOUR MAJESTY AND YOUR GRACES THE SAGES!!! I HAVE URGENT NEWS!!!" she yelled. "Calm down. Now, tell me, what did you see?" "Nathan Paine...the person you sent us to warn about the pursuit of the King of Spain..." "What about him? You look worried." "We arrived too late. The King's guard arrested him. We followed them to Madrid. He was scheduled for execution!" "WHAT?!" Amara's voice roared over the entire land of Andalucia at her discontent. "Now my enemy has done me too far wrong. Family he may be, but this is too far a measure. I don't care what any of you say...but I have a feeling about this and also, I want to take care of this personality. We...and we alone...are going to Madrid. An army is too conspicous. I'll keep a guard in the outskirts just in case, but with our powers, we should be fine. We'll have to dress inconspicously, however. Handmaiden, bring everyone something to wear that they'll fit in a public execution." ((In every succeeding post, pretend that the handmaiden is handing you something to change into and change into it, just do that much for me.)) |

Cyrus looked at the disguise that the handmaiden gave him and then had an idea. "Hey, I was wondering if you can help me with something." It was clear to him that whoever Nathan was, Amara deeply cared for him. And that alone was going to let Cyrus aid her to the best of his ability. He worked with his disguise to the point that he could be able to disguise his face and size when he used the ring if the situation arises. He had the axe from his edgemaster side of him appear as he looked at his friend with a smile on his face. He was going to be the aid for the executioner. This was going to put him in the thick of battle more than likely, but then again what else was new? He had been in other offenses before in his long life. Personally, Viola didn't care about what happened to whoever this Nathan person was. But then again, the chance for some serious combat was intriguing. She almost snatched her disguise from the handmaiden, but she immediately grimaced. It seemed that her disguise was that of a beggar. Cursing to herself, she shook her head as she kept her disguise under her arm. |

Amara looked at the disguise the handmaiden had handed to her. "The vestments of a NUN?! Honestly, Maria..." "Your highness, it's the only way to disguise your hair and your body...you have a very unique figure, and you need to cover up your cheek bones as well...this will work, trust me..." "Although the outfit doesn't fit my personality at all," Amara chuckled a little, dressing in the black and white vestments, adjusting herself so that her hair was hidden, she was as covered as possible, and her hat was down as far as it could go. "Man, this is hot..." she muttered, hiding her rapier and bow where she could easily access them when she needed them. "Melody should be all right, she's a water nymph and can stay in the water-skin...who wants to carry her, though?" |

"Look, I'm TELLING you, there is NOTHING that would disguise me!" "Let me-" a handmaiden stuttered. She had a cloak, but that wasn't...really that good for Eli's purposes. "Look at me! Look at this!" At this, Eli held up his tail, and pointed at his fox ears. "And my skin and claws! There is nothing sans a full suit of armor that..." Eli just suddenly looked up at a nearby clock. In ten seconds... "Never mind that now! Look, guys? You mind if I blink out of existance for precisely six seconds? I'll be back and wearing my disguise, promise!" Holy crap, I nearly forgot! Rai will KILL me! But this is awesome! Eli muttered something, uncaring of what happened. And, with that, he was gone. -Six seconds later- Eli reappeared, wearing a tattered brown cloak over a special suit of armor, clutching the helmet in his hands. He was sweating profusely, and was gasping for air. His red eyes were narrowed. "Holy...fuck. Man, that was NUTS! Anyway, yeah, I'm good to go." ((I'll post a link to what happened when I post the topic.)) |

"Listen. You're the AIR sage and know NOTHING of Shadow, and didn't even have a shadow dream. And plus that, love isn't about looks, either. And how dare you assume you're the best looking one of all these guys?" "Making an assumption of be me being the best looking, is like comparing a donkey to a kitten, and I'm the kitten!" Violin said quite quickly to Amara's comment, as if he was expecting it. One thing he wasn't expecting, was Amara to kiss Eli. "You know, you shouldn't really kiss Fox-people, you never know where their mouths could be!" Violin clearly had a smirk on his face, if anyone there knew him, which none of them did, they would know that he was joking with that last comment. "I suppose that you just have bad taste in men, that's all." This was the first time that Violin has ever been rejected by a girl. It was confusing the living snot out of him. How could someone resist Violin? Perhaps she already had a boyfriend, but then again, that doesn't explain Amara kissed Eli. Unless Eli was her boyfriend...that would make the most sense. "Oh...now I get it. Sorry Amara...Sorry Eli, I didn't realize that until just now." At this point, Amara left to go the library, returning alittle later, with a book, and read some out of, then not much after finishing, the guard appeared, and explained about the be-heading. And another person appeared with several disguises. Violin was given a noble's outfit. "Do you really think this fits me?" Violin said as he put it on, find it to be quite comfortable. "Hey, can we keep these things?" Eli disappeared, and reappeared shortly after, looking like a robot in a cloak. Violin wanted to come up with a joke...but just couldn't seem to find one at the moment. |

Amara shrugged it all off, and again recheked to make sure she'd have room to get to her weapons if she needed them, and she somehow knew she'd need them along with her bending skills to face off what they were going into. "All right, everyone. Let's get going. Don't anyone act until my signal. You'll know what it is." |

Cyrus nodded his head as he walked out of the cave with a smile on his face. He turned to look at Viola, who wasn't really happy at the moment. "Hey Viola, watch out for Trogdor now you hear?" As he laughed softly to himself, Viola couldn't help but mutter off a stream of curse words while keeping the robes under her arm. Meanwhile, she was thinking to herself. Who, or what, the hell was Trogdor anyway? Was that some kind of joke? "Stupid rat bastard, why the hell do we even need this guy? He's useless and lacks an element." |

"Oh, shit. I forgot, I own a whole bunch of weapons for this thing. So, hold on - I gotta fly to the Sanctum to get them. And, Andrew? You legend - Trogdor is a god." Eli ran, and then seemingly jumped up to activate the boosters on the God Armor, the cloak flying upwards to reveal the binders. Six flames ignited - two on the back and two on each binder, the small vectored vernier trusters allowing for on-the-spot maneuvering, flying over the castle walls to the dark building nearby. The shimmering portalway allowed the demon prince access, and what he saw shocked him. Weapons, of the kinds he hadn't touched in ages. Plasma weapons, mostly, but, by the Gods, this was most pleasing. These weapons...were all of his own design. These weapons were what he was -really- comfortable with. Plasma cannon, plasma gatling, plasma sniper rifle, linear gun. Four big guns he'd used so many times before. And then, a grenade launcher and three-barrel machinegun. He also looked around, and found that headset he'd used before. He peered inside the helmet as he did, and found that the comm system still existed. Adjusting both headsets to the same frequency, Eli snapped the helmet back on, and affixed the plasma gatling and sniper rifle to the back hardpoints, and the machinegun and grenades to the left and right forearm hardpoints, collecting three spare clips for the machineguns, one for each barrel. The hanyou flew back through the portalway, the weapons on his back and the headset in his right hand, taking a total of two minutes. "Rightio. I can't keep hidden within that crowd, so I had a better idea. Sniper duty. You're looking at a professional bounty hunter - so don't mock my sniping skills. Plasma weapons will kill easily, and I even have a gatling if things get too dicey. So, Amara, you take this, and call down the targets. Otherwise...Let's roll." Eli handed Amara the headset and straightened the cloak. This would be fun. |

Amara adorned the headset quickly, then nodded to the rather...odd...looking group of sages that were assembled. "All right, let's get going." CONTINUED IN CHAPTER XII |
