It didn't take too long to reach her new dorm, or at least it didn't feel like it to V'neef. While she did pause breifly, to take in the look from the outside, she felt a little anxious to get in and find her room. She may feel like she needs to be repotted now and again, but she still likes to be nicely rooted in. "So this is Byakko? Looks pretty good. Now, let's see just where my room is...." Despite company, she also didn't want to start out too reliant on help, so she checked her information again and went in, getting the feel of the space as she did her best to find her room. Having talked on the way over, and now focusing on her directions, she didn't make much in the way of small-talk en route. Not that it took that long anyway. After double checking she got her numbers right, she opened up her door and got a look at the basics already there. A perfectly plain bed against one wall, a perfectly plain yet functional desk and chair against the adjoining one, and some closet space opposite. "Hmm...looks almost perfect...after a few personal touches of course." She smiled as she spoke, and walked across the room to put down her duffle on top of the bed. Unzipping it, she started pulling out her wardrobe...such as it was. Essentially outfits like the one she already wore, some exactly like it and a few in a couple of other colors, though all reminicent of flowers. Once those were hung, she moved back to take out a small scroll, which she unrolled and hung over the head of her bed. It was a hand-painted ink piece of wind blowing around a collection of autumn leaves. The last things she pulled out were apparently class supplies and the like, which she arranged on her desk. Though one item she put reverantly on the desk without opening was a sculpted, rectangular stone box, with only a few characters chizled into it, on each side. |

The move from the Garden and his previous work of art was relatively quick, cross the courtyard past the memorial and towards the furthest dorm building. It made Brian excited to think someone he genially, got along with and related to would be in the same dorm building as he was. Not to mention how much brighter things would be in that cold desolate dorm. V’neef didn’t say much on the walk to the dorms just carried her bag which made Brian feel a little bit useless seeing her carry the bag and him carry nothing. It felt odd only watching her figure move along the path ahead of him. It was only when she stopped did he snap back to reality. Her appraisal of the building was rather funny compared to what Brian knew from living on the inside, how different this dorm was. Still not a word of asking for help and not a word towards him really, he continued to tag along their walk to her dorm. She entered and he was left wondering what to do, should he enter, should he leave. It was a jumbled mess inside his head wondering just what she was thinking. He waited outside the door for a while as he heard shuffling around her room. She was obviously putting her items in their place, was he forgotten or something? He hesitantly stepped into her doorway and knocked on the door seeing her back to him as she placed some sort of stone on her desk. “Um hello… you seemed to have arrived in your room, maybe I’ll come back another time?” |

As he knocked on her door she seemed to start back to the here and now, having fallen back into routine while unpacking. It seems she can be easily caught up in things, given how many times she's been started back into a continuing conversation. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you! I was being very rude...please, do come in. I guess I was just sliding back into automatic, I kinda do that with chore work, and unpacking does count as a chore I guess." She did blush with embarassment as she appologized, feeling very sheepish at how poor a company she had been so far. "I really am sorry...you must have been feeling so uncomfortable..." she moved to sit on the bed, moving her bag to the floor, and allowing him to take the one chair in the room. "So...heh....since you live in this dorm too, why don't you tell me what it's like living here? I mean, what can I expect, and what are the other residents like?" |

Entering the room it was still feeling like he was invading the space of some foreign space. Like he shouldn’t been in this other person’s personal space but here he was interrupting her in mid step of her chore. She looked embarrassed she had forgotten it was really unnecessary he should have been used to it. She offered a chair to him trying now to possibly make up for the time she’d forgotten him there. So taking the moved chair offered to him, he kind of stared wondering what to say and, forcing thoughts out of his own mind in regards to where he’d like to seat himself. So of course she spoke first asking the easiest of questions for him to answer since he did live in this dorm. He took a breath thinking about how to break it to her how empty this place was how, dull dismal and scary this place could be on occasion. “This house is probably the least active out of all the dorms on campus. Most students are either never here or stick to their room. I often think this particular dorm is haunted or something that will keep the students separated. We tried to have a party once only 5 of the residents attended. I think if you like peace and quiet in your own room this is the dorm to live in.” He sighed, a visible falling. Brian personally didn’t like the solitude this dorm building, brought to him in addition to the things outside his life that often interfered with his friends. |
