In their rush, Rena had neglected to use any sort of Kierrn magic to aid in their escape. Some things came natural, like flitting through the shadows unnoticed, without leaving a trail or hint of passage. These things are picked up with experience. But she hadn't even tapped into the true natural 'magics' of the Kierrn yet. Not yet... They were gaining speed through a realm Rena had come to love and had grown accustomed to. She felt very much in her element. The only thing that truly began to bother, or rather, worry her was the fact that they had not yet shaken the multitude of otherworldly butterflies that seemed to be flocking around in force today. It was beyond her how, though she was moving at speeds that no butterfly could possibly hope to compare with, they hadn't managed to outrun them. Strange... There wasn't a natural butterfly on earth that could keep up with a wolf, never the less werewolf, let alone a Kierrn. Something was definitely not right here. As they passed through another section of the forest, nearing the place Daryll's father had indicated, two things happened at once. They passed a ghostly specter of a woman in white, and Daryll managed to shift his weight unexpectedly, resulting with a gruesome crack of a branch hitting his head. It must have hurt getting whacked by the branch, but noticing a new trickle of blood running down the razored spines of her wings, she noted that it probably hurt a hell of a lot more for him to be jerked past her razored feathers so abruptly. And after she had taken such great pains not to accidentally slice him with her bladed appendages... "Damn!" Cursing out loud, Rena hit the air breaks, spreading her wings and skidding to a pivoting halt, finishing the movement by barreling back towards her dropped luggage. Snarling in her aggravation, Rena shouted, "Fuck it!" and shifted to her full Kierrn form, stooping as she ran up to Daryll and snatching him with one arm while kicking off from the ground. Voicing her grievances while giving her wings an experimental pump, she lifted the two of them into the upper canopy. "I'm taking us up... At least you managed to knock yourself off in somewhat of a clearing. Makes it easier to get bast the branches." Adding the last part with a scathing note, the two of them breached the leafy upper recesses of the forest, swooping through a narrow gap in the trees. It was purely by miracle that Rena could manage an escape like this in the woods. Her wingspan was hard enough to accommodate given space, let alone in the woods. Bursting into the air above the forest, Rena folded her arms around Daryll's chest, leaving his legs to dangle, but making sure she had a secure grip on his upper torso. There was no way in hell he could get himself dislodged up here. Streaking forward like an enormous bird of prey with an eye on its next meal, they skimmed over the treetops, just a foot or so above so that Rena could peer down between the branches and find where they were going. They were making even more progress now that Rena didn't have to dodge objects in her way, and the wings were well worth the pain and blood loss of forming them. Internally, she praised herself for her judgement when she sprouted them. As they flew, the sheer pointlessness of scanning around for an underground tunnel when she could just b-line straight for the school in the air was causing her to curse mentally, over and over again. The only thing she hated more than high stress situations, was having to watch someone else's hide during them. Nearly passing over the tree they were searching for, Rena circled once, then made a calculated dive through the leaves and branches, folding her wings to her sides and making sure she left enough room for Daryll, in case he flailed, so that he wouldn't get whacked again. Finding the ground coming up to meet them, she abruptly spread her wings once more, causing an eruption of dried leaves on the forest floor to fly up in a ring around them. Landing lightly on the ground, she set Daryll down, her eyes immediately drawn to the foot of the tree. "Now where the hell is it...?" OOC: Sorry if it seems a little rushed. I'm not feeling well, and I'm trying to hurry and get everyone's posts in... |

OOC: I don't believe this... PJ, did you just pull a Final Fantasy effect on the battle?! IC>>>>> (The strange blur caught Ray's eye for a moment, but he paid it no heed as he continued his attack on Chishio. The big giant was using an attack of its own to try and swat him out of the sky in the worst way possible. Well...not happening! In mid-air, Ray kicked the fist to fling himself away from the the actual force of the attack. It worked because he basically attacked the fist as if it were a separate being. This threw him off to one side of Chishio, so he - rather sneakily - ran in back of the big beast!) Ray: Ankles... (He got himself between the hulking giant's legs and slashed at both heels and ankles, trying to force the big guy down to take him out quickly while he's in a bad position. And at that time, Ray was delighted to note that..."Hey! This amulet thingy realloy works!" How about that... The woman he killed before was stuck in place!) |

(OOC: Finaly Fantasy effect, Lord Massy-pu? Huh? =o.O= Oh, and Elawei, don't worry about it. just get well soon ok? Being sick if awful.) The specter women stood there with a light smile as she stared at Ray from afar. The outline of her glowing body could still be seen through the darkness of the forest. She did not move, nor show any sign of life except for her standing position. Rena had quickly realized Daryll’s injury and had swooped him up into the air away from the forest ground. The ghost woman watched as the female wolf and the cub flew away. Even in the air the butterflies plagued every inch. It seemed like they covered the entire forest. These tiny insects did nothing though. They were merely glowed and hovered there light stars in the sky; eerie, beautiful, and magical. Each butterfly was a creation of the young shadow named Sera, forth born of the two sisters who preferred not to be named. Each out-worldly insect was a spy; functions easily compared to that of security cameras. Even when Rena and Daryll had landed, the butterflies were present. They even were blown away a bit by Rena’s large wings like the dried leaves. The she-wolf called out, searching for the rusty door. ”Rammu.” A somewhat low toned, yet obviously feminine, voice rang out seductively as a long black snake could be seen hanging from a branch above the sacred tree Korahn had mentioned. The serpent hissed and then fell at the bottom of the rusty door unceremoniously, but just as the slitherer collided into the ground, a bright light beamed out and in its place stood a magnificently stunning women. She was awe inspiring; so much so that she looked to be of another world, or rather, so artificial that she looked inhuman. Her perfect facial features and her glistening crystal eyes would be the first thing Rena would most likely notice. Daryll however, being a young boy, would most likely notice her incredibly large bust that preceded her. Her carrot colored hair waved about in unfelt wind as if her entire being were submerged in invisible water. Her pink silk clothing also took this ghostly effect. She crossed her arms with a grin as she clearly stood in front of Rena’s and Daryll’s way on purpose. Her energy levels were far more apparent when compared to Sera, Chishio, and the others the little wolf pack met. She was the source of the other homunculus. She, along with her twin sister, were the shadow’s creators; their mothers and masters. ”Rena is it? Is that what our dear Ray has called you? Yes, it’s Rena, isn’t it? We’re very pleased to meet you. Now, just like we offered Ray. Give us the boy and you are free to go. You don’t have to suffer and die like Ray has chosen to do so. Currently, he is fighting our incarnations. Rena, believe me when I say this, you have no part in this, so it would be best for you if you let the boy come with me. Technically, Daryll does belong to us… hmmm… or rather… to her.” The pumpkin colored haired enchantress grinned snobbishly as she extended her hand to the side to introduce someone. A strong scent soon filled the area; it was not an unpleasant scent, but an awkwardly familiar scent. Rena, who was more of a lupine, would detect it sooner then Daryll. Not only that, Rena would know that scent. It was the same scent as Daryll, or something similar. Just like Korahn’s scent, this scent was mixed in with Daryll’s being. A soft breeze flowed over Rena and Daryll as the same ghost female stepped out from behind the tree; the one who’s appearance had caused Daryll to loose his balance. She walked with light steps as if she were floating. She too held the same underwater effect the pink dressed homunculi possessed. Her face would be the most familiar thing of all; she looked a lot like Daryll. ”Daryll… Meet your mother…” The woman standing there smiled a heavenly gleam, and held her arms out for Daryll to come to her. The intensely carrot headed enchantress grinned at Daryll as she stepped beside his mother. ”Takako is her name, but of course, you already knew that. She’s missed you. Why don’t you come and say hello to your mother.” On the other side of the forest, a loud clank is heard as Ray’s sword collides into Chishio’s metal ankle and heel. The armor’s metallic limbs did not, however, prove to be any good to Ray’s nameless blade, or the counterfeit at least. The sword struck Chishio’s iron limb and made a light indention in his ankle and heel. Chishio howled and became unbalanced yet again. Chishio wasn’t a smart being, so he didn’t realize Ray’s strategical capabilities. The other homunculus, on the other hand, quickly noticed Raymond’s fighting ability. The werewolf’s attacks were a mix of force, strength, emotion and thought. It was a mix most of them had rarely encountered. Korahn stood there as he watched Ray’s exquisite form move about almost effortlessly in battle. Although he was in great pain, the older lycan was excited to see Ray holding up his own. One by one, each Homunculus would have a weakness Ray could exploit. Korahn hoped that Ray would figure out each. Korahn also hoped that the younger werewolf would not transform into his wolf form, because once that happens, it would be five against one. The necklace only labored when placed on a human frame. It would have been two against five if Korahn was not badly wounded; he would be taken down easily in this state, leaving Ray to fight on his own. Returning to the fight, the huge armor stumbled a bit to the side, but managed to keep its footing. Chishio knew the wolf was beneath him since his legs were under attack. Quickly, the gigantic metal body began to stomp about like a child going through a temper tantrum. The great pounding caused the ground to shake and crack under Chishio’s great weight. Korahn watched wide eyed as he tried to keep his balance with all the quaking. Even the other homunculus attempted to keep their balance as their youngest brother danced around in hopes of crushing Ray. |

Picked up, torn by wings, pain spreading from his head, sides and right hand… Oh, what a day! All that the boy could do was put up with the pain for now, his eyes slightly welling up with tears before he was yanked off of the ground again by Rena. Blood was slightly drooling down from his sides as he was once again picked up, but this time he was flown in her full-form’s arms through the thick blanket of butterflies. ‘Today was not the best day to even wake up,’ he thought with a slight groan of pain. At first, when he was set down on the ground by the tree, the boy knelt down on the ground clutching his sides a bit. There wasn’t too much blood drooling down… But, for some reason, the blood flow had slowed down a bit faster than it normally would. Just as soon as he had fully stood up, the first Shadow creator had slithered down from her perch in the branches and shifted into her humanoid form. The first thing that stood out to him, much like any typical teen, were her breasts. It took him a bit to shake his head free from the thoughts that ran through his head. “… you have no part in this, so it would be best for you if you let the boy come with me. Technically, Daryll does belong to us… hmmm… or rather… to her.” is when the boy found his focus. Slowly, the scent started to waft through the air… It was actually a rather soothing scent to him, much like a scent that he would prefer to be around. Then, the strangely familiar ghostly figure made her way out into view. The boy’s gaze rested upon her, curious as to why she was there until the Shadow Sister spoke, “Daryll… Meet your mother…” As the sister continued to talk, his mother held out her arms, ”Takako is her name, but of course, you already knew that. She’s missed you. Why don’t you come and say hello to your mother.” This was when Daryll froze up. No… “No…” He spoke softly before starting to step back. “No.. No! Mother died! She died in giving birth to me! That is not my mother!” He yelled out, loud enough for it to be heard almost all the way around the forest. Blindly, the boy started to run through the thick blankets of butterflies and through the branches of the forest. Running faster than he had before, he found himself growling and snarling a bit as he ran, slapping branches out of his way as he ran. There was no way that he would stay in the same area as… them, if he could help it. Then again, he was already surrounded by the butterflies… So, he kept on running, hopefully aiming for the school. |

OOC: The blur effect and others standing by made me think of Final Fantasy games. IC>>>>> (Something seemed...off. It was hard to put his finger on, but Ray was quickly beginning to come to the realization that there was something lacking in his swings. The sword was suppose to reflect his physical prowess like a part of his own body. Whatever strength he had, so did the blade. Only...with the full moon out, he should be exhibiting the power to slice this giant to ribbons. Wood and stone were a joke to a full-moon Ray. Metal should also be possible to rip through in human form. But the sword was acting weak. Why should that be? Ray would leave that for later. He had said that he did not want to use the sword on these annoying golems and he meant it. His own fists had been quite capable of downing the armor before. Now, as Chishio took a temper-tantrum and stomped at him, Ray clung himself to the back of his right ankle. The ground cracked here and there and Ray was unhurt from not being underfoot. Finally, he jumped off from the leg and then threw a hard right punch to Chishio's calf that would certainly have a greater effect than this faux sword. He would damage the leg, topple over the giant, and step out of the before getting crushed. The damaged ground would work against the heavy golem, keeping him down long enough for Ray to inflict some killer blows.) |

Turning her eyes up to branches of the tree, Rena caught sight of the snake, just as the 'seductive' words fell on a deaf ear. Rena certainly wasn't affected by it much, but it did draw a scowl from her maw. Staring at the oily scales and the writhing muscle under them, she gave it a quick once-over, estimating its value as a potential threat. A snake... she hated snakes. But she already knew that this thing wasn't a real one. Too much power, too much energy for that. As it dropped to the ground, she squinted partially at the light and partially in distaste as the form of a human took its place. She was right. Why did that not surprise her? Noting the perfect face and the perfect eyes, Rena was hardly impressed. Anything that 'perfect' wasn't born looking like that. Since their assailant was something of a shapeshifter, and most likely created the form to her own specifications, the human-like body that stood before her did not draw a gasp of envy from the shewolf, nor even a hint of admiration. A good piece of artwork, maybe, but not too terribly awe-inspiring to someone so cynical as Rena. For all she knew, the shapeshifter originally looked like a ball of slime with warts. One thing that was impressive, however, was the amount of energy that seemed to seep out around the woman, a telltale sign of power. Whether she had the grit to control that which appeared to be radiating out of her was another matter. Either this was a display of power, which meant she was probably arrogant and full of herself, or this wench didn't know how to keep that power disguised and under wraps. Either way, the radiating power made Rena's lip curl more, a shallow growl forming behind bared fangs. She did not tolerate showoffs, and she did not put up with those that had too much muscle and no way to control it, either. Nodding in answer to her own question, Rena murmured, "arrogant..." under her breath as she traced the curved, "all-knowing" smile that was on the woman's lips with a glare of pure scrutiny. Smug. That's how she looked. All because she was guarding the entrance to the place they supposedly wanted to go. But for how long? Rena didn't really want to use that route, anyway. Glaring silently at the stranger while she spoke, Rena's eyes narrowed at the 'offer'. Hell... now there was no way she COULD back out... dignity intact. Rena was SO not a submissive... especially to non-wolfen. As she let the woman continue, she gained a protective stance over Daryll. She may not have answered verbally, but her rigid posture and her back-turned ears and snarl spoke for her. Someone would die if they tried to take Daryll from her, and Rena was already calculating her odds. At the mentioning of Rena's 'not being a part of this', a twisted and somehow very carnal smile exposes even more of the teeth in Rena's mouth. Speaking in a rumbling accent somewhere between human vocalization and a drawn-out growl, Rena took a step in front of Daryll. "He's a werewolf- a pup. A submissive, under me in hierarchy, which puts him in my protection. Above all, he's pack, as I've adopted him with my protection. Blood for blood, you harm him, so I will harm you." When the woman expressed that Daryll was theirs, anyway, Rena refrained from shouting "The hell he is!", and instead the hackles on the back of her neck raised to fine points, her neatly folded black wings vibrating softly with the sound of metal grating on metal. When the woman in white reappeared, Rena had no doubt that she was the same specter she'd seen in the woods. SO not a human.... and most definitely NOT werewolf. Everything about the glowing form screamed "FAKE!". Her hand shot out to grab a hold of Daryll's shoulder, just in case the boy was tricked into believing this blatant lie. To her great surprise, when she grabbed, her hand caught nothing but air. Daryll moved, shouted at the two women, then turned and ran blindly into the woods. Well.... at least he was kind of running in the right direction... Ducking into the woods after him, she caught up with him rather quickly, exposing her back to their enemies, but fanning out her wings as a layer of protection behind her, shielded both her body and Daryll's from the two women. She had no idea if there was a third lurking around, otherwise she would have let Daryll run and taken care of the two bogey-women. But since she could not bet on it, never the less bet Daryll's life, she took the flight route and hoisted Daryll up by his armpits as she caught up to him, wrapping her arms around his torso as she had when they flew and making sure he was tucked safe inside the curve of her chest and stomach. If anything projectile came at them, she wanted to be sure it would hit her and not him. Keeping her eyes on where they were running, she tucked her muzzle down and grabbed Daryll by the nape of his neck, being careful not to harm him, she growled, the vibrations running from her muzzle straight into the back of his neck. Ending with a bit of a shake, she released him. Some things came as habit. Like disciplining pups. Realizing that what she had just done might have been misinterpreted, Rena backed them up with words, putting her muzzle to his ear in speaking in a growling voice that held enough disapproval to choke on. “Don’t do that again! Stay with me, under my protection, until you’re safe. Running off like that will get the both of us killed.” Turning slightly, she ran a bit east of the direction Daryll had originally been going in. They had a small stretch of forest ahead of them, but if they hurried, it wouldn't take long to get to the treeline. From there, the school would be one good frolic in the meadow away. That is... if they got that far. |

As Ray presumed. The cracked, and already damaged earth beneath the hulking giant would bring the great armor down. The imbalance of the land, and the incredibly strong strike to the calf sent this suit of metal crashing down onto one knee. The ground shook once again. Chishio let out an echoed, muffled groan as if the person inside the armor had taken heavy injury, but once the armor fell forward on his hands, the helmet of the metallic suit went flying off. Ray could have probably guessed what he would see inside. Nothing, but that of course was no surprise to Alchemists or those who could detect scents. Chishio smelled of steel, iron, and other metals. Light traces of fabric and even bones could be picked up, but nothing that could be distinguished as flesh. The gigantic thing was attempting to return to his original position but without its head, the creature had a hard time find a good hold of the earth. With all the cracking and broken ground under it, its footing wasn’t very good, especially for something weighing so much. As it struggled to get up, a small glint of red could be seen inside the armor’s hollow body. A symbol drawn in blood. Korahn watched the impressive battle. Ray’s strategies were outstanding. The old wolf smirk as a surge of guilt shivered his spine. Just earlier that night, he had referred to Ray as a pup. Sure Ray was a little older then Daryll, and was still an adolescent, but Ray was no lycan cub who needed to be looked after or protected. Again, he shivered and closed his eyes. The full moon was enhancing his already potent regeneration abilities which meant he would be ready to fight in about an hour or two. The other Homunculus were not paying attention to Korahn’s moment of peace. They were eyeing Chishio’s exposed Soul Seal Array. Homunculus were a special breed of alchemical life, but there were other branches of artificial beings. Chimeras being one form. An example of this would be Pride and Sera. Both were created by a combination of animals and people. Their bodies, although like their homunculus siblings, they were fake, but these two held more life energy due to the many creatures used to create them. Seal Sealed Arrayed items was another forbidden art used for false life. Chishio, Ray’s currant opponent is an example of this. When a person is about to die, an Alchemist could seal their soul to an item through special transmutation circles. The last form of outlawed Alchemy created life was reanimation of the dead. Akorum, Koiji, and Daryll’s mother were all once real living people; similar to the Enchantress Twins, yet slightly different. These three were created using the flesh of the departed to grown a replica body of the deceased used. In simplicity, they are clones. Although all these shadows were labeled as Homunculus, they were truly not such. The two sisters were copies of real life, and these shadows were copies of those copies; like burning a CD from an already burnt CD and adjusting the songs a bit. Songs…Singing… Daryll and Rena could hear the gentle hymn of a woman’s voice, of course this was not meant to full the two wolves running towards the school. It was the sister’s way of taunting them, or rather, Daryll. Circe was correct in her assumptions. Rena had indeed stayed with the boy, and so was now labeled a threat, but of course, Rena would have already knew that; the she-wolf’s intelligence and capabilities shining even when they confront Circe. The orange haired seductress made a teasing pout as Rena and Daryll escaped from her and ran the other direction. The pink dressed woman tilted her head slightly as Daryll’s “mother” turned away. The haunting butterflies were upon almost every tree, and every bush Rena and Daryll passed by. These butterflies weren’t chasing after them, they were merely waiting to see who showed up. Like security cameras they observed, and recorded everything for the sisters. Through their eyes, the twins were able to see where the two wolves were. With the ghostly insects and the soft singing in the air, the woods seemed like another world. Then the one singing showed herself again. It was Daryll’s Mother. She stood there as Rena and Daryll came quickly towards her. Takako halted her sweet voice as smiled dully as her son and his protectress were swiftly lessening the distance between them. The white silked woman opened up her beautiful mouth and as a soft whisper began to sound out. That soft whisper grew louder as glowing blue and white lights began to exit the trees and plant life around her. These lights were quickly sucked into Takako’s inhale. Like a vortex, the life energy of the things around her began to be swallowed. The tree quickly became black and the leaves dried and fell off their branches liberally. If Rena had felt the power pulsating from Circe, then Rena would surely detect the energy leaving all the living things in Takako’s area. Even the enchanted butterflies succumbed to Takako’s energy stealing vortex. Moments later when the forest area around her had died, she closed her mouth and waited for the two to reach her. She whispered, but that whisper reached Daryll like a warm breeze. ”…Daryll…” Just then a flash of light explodes out as Rena runs passed two trees which had two magical scrolls pinned to them. If the she-wolf and the pup looked back, they would see a solid light barrier preventing them from returning that way. In fact, more flashes erupted to form a large energy dome around the wolves’ area, and around Takako. Everything within a mile radius would be blocked off. Just then, a few butterflies took to the air carrying the same sheets of magically scripted paper; forming the lid to this magical casing.”…Daryll…” |

(YES! The golem was down! He'd tipped forward and fallen face-down, assuming you could call the empty-armored someone who could HAVE a face. Rather unexpectedly, Chishio was empty. He was animate armor, like he was a haunted thing from a castle. Well, nevermind if he was or he wasn't. Ray went over to the neck of the downed, Chishio, having climbed over him to get there because that was actually the safest route, avoiding an attack of the limbs. He was going to get inside and break this golem apart, and the big guy wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. But as Ray crawled inside, he noticed the red mark as well.) Ray: Huh. That's...odd. It smells like blood. (Now inside of Chishio, he dared to take one of his claw-like fingernails and scratch the blood seal, testing to see if it's blood. Chishio most definitely had a reaction to it, which was another unexpected thing for Ray. He tried it again and got similar results.) Ray: It IS blood...and something important. Is this the real you? (He didn't figure on the thing answering, and it wouldn't. He knew that. Ray decided that the mark was the focal-point of something important about Chishio, like a weakpoint. Thing is, it way impossible to effectively use his sword in here. In fact, even throwing a proper punch would be hindered by the lack of space a little. Ray placed his hands and feet on Chishio's inner chest and back. A suit of armor was weakest on the inside, so he began to push with all his might.) Ray: I'll break you apart from the inside out! |

“Alright, alright! I will, as long as we are not by th--” Daryll started to speak, but then was interrupted. The soft, hymn-like singing had broken the boy’s speaking, his gaze soon shifting over to where it was coming from. The woman from before that was acting as his mother was there… However, there was something different happening. Each time that the woman called his name, it seemed as if the life within her vicinity, whether it was plant or magical butterfly, seemed to wither away. “No,” he said firmly, “No. You… are a hollow shell, not my mother! My mother was human!” The boy started to step back, his gaze seeming to pierce through his ‘mother’. Suddenly, a thought came to him. The nail from before… He still had it. “You… are not… my mother!” he let out in a grunt as he suddenly reached into his bookbag, his hand clasping about the nail as he let out a slight grunt of pain. Daryll suddenly whipped the nail out of his bookbag and, as if it were a throwing knife, chucked it at the other being. He was shaking as it flew through the air, watching it wobble a bit. It almost seemed as if time slowed down as the nail flew towards the shadow’s left breast, the boy’s eyes closing. It was as if Daryll was not wanting to know what was going to happen. |

Finding Daryll's "mother" blocking their exit from the woods, Rena snarled, bared fangs flashing stark white against her black fur and peeled back lips. Curved claws shred the ground as she forced a quick halt, just as the light barrier flashed closed behind them. The hairs on her body all stood on end as she sensed the vortex of energy spiraling through the forest around them, sucking the life from everything within its grasp. A deep rumbling growl is issued in response from the bristling shewolf. But rather than worrying about the ethics of what the woman was doing, she busied herself with finding the fastest escape route. Glancing behind her, she noted that she was now backed against a wall. And within a few seconds, not only that, but boxed in. Hadn't this girl ever learned not to corner an angry animal? Setting Daryll down, she paid little attention to him and his throwing the nail, and instead, focused on his position relative to both her and the other woman. Finding where he was standing as less than favorable, she steps forward and in front of her younger charge once he'd disarmed himself. Being the guardian, she would fight first, and hopefully be the one to end it. A mane of spiked hackles frame her snarling face, her expression enhanced rather than reduced by a very carnal, very feral intent, fringed with a sharp and darker intelligence. Ears rotate back, dark slate gray eyes swirling with a bloody crimson until the pupils, shining like vermillion pools rimmed with a poisonous black, took on the hue of her bloodrage. It was rare that this mood-telling color surfaced without being quickly proceeded by some sort of blood-letting. This woman would not get to Daryll without a fight. In preparation, the claws in her hands and feet somehow extended out longer than they already were, hooked and sharped, spiny barbs turning the ridges of the claws closest to their furry sheathes into something very similar to a serrated knife- best for gripping, tearing, and shredding. Likewise, the fangs in her mouth (although not retractable like her claws) sported serrated bases, although for the sake of being able to eat properly, the only teeth that were bladed along the back ridge were the two largest fangs in her mouth, the canines. Showing these off in her snarl, she knew they would most likely come in handy very soon. Spreading her bladed wings out to their full extent, she nearly touched two sides of the magical 'box' with the pinion tips. Her fur and the wings seemed to almost meld together with the exact color of freshly spilled ink and the texture of liquid flowing into a slick, and very durable solid. The rattling of these appendages, like ominous chimes, was the only noise from the shewolf for a second while she considered her options. Deciding she had too much to lose if she were to make a mistake, she readied herself in a defensive fighting stance, blocking Daryll from view. Since waiting was not one of Rena's strong suits, she settled for a threatening, and very throaty snarl. - A warning of sorts. Although thinking that this would make the woman beat a quick retreat would be hoping for too much. |

The smell of rust, blood, and moldy fabric loomed all around Ray as he entered the large suit. The darkness inside the suit was only momentarily suppressed as the giant armor stood up, but that was when the wolf pressed a sharp claw against the Soul Seal Array. The suit gave a mighty jerk as the claw scraped down its design as sparks of orange electricity seem to burst out from the symbol. A loud and low toned howl raged out from the samurai suit’s chest from invisible vocal cords. The low scream echoed inside all around Ray like concert speakers ready to explode at Max volume. The armor twirled about frantically as it stomped about in pain; trashing and kicking at thin air. The circular symbol was disrupted as alchemical energy surged out from the armor’s body just as Ray pushed his chest forward from the inside. With that mighty shove, another ear pierce screech rumbled, and the armor burst apart. The armor’s chest flung open as it’s metal gloves and leggings tumbled to the ground with great clanks and thumps. Ray would be seen coming out from Chishio’s broken chest. As the great metal armor, clanked on the floor, the magical blurs all around the area fizzed away. Declaring Ray the winner since Chishio had been “killed.” Akorum grinned at this as her slender, pale arms folded across her chest in a smug stance. She gritted her teeth a bit before turning away from her dead younger brother and his murderer. But before she could get very far. ”Ray! Choose your next opponent quickly before any of them can leave this area!” Korahn’s voice yelled out to the younger lycan as the old wolf dashed forward like a bulldozer; crashing into the black dressed homunculus and sending her backwards with a loud thud. She hit the floor and slid a few feet on the rock earth before halting. Dirty and scratched she sat up and glared Korahn, but when she saw what condition the elder wolf was in, she smirked in wicked delight. Korahn had fallen to one knee and vomited up a hefty amount of blood. When he said he wasn’t capable of fighting anymore tonight, he meant it. But, to ensure his son safety, he forgot about his own injuries and stopped the woman before she could go off and fetch Daryll. Akorum stood up as her already sharp fingernails began to grow. To three feet; they became five thin blades, ready to strike. Ray already knew the reason why he shouldn’t fight them all at once even though he could take them all on in his lycan form; not to mention the full moon. If Ray was only a second distracted, one or even two of them could slip away from the fight and follow Daryll. He was their target. They had made that clear now. Neither Ray nor Korahn had what the sisters desired. Although Daryll did not possess lycanthrope-metamorphosis like Rena, Ray and his father, there was something different about him, and that was- ”The Power belongs to his mother, Korahn. You have no say in this anymore since you abandoned your son long ago by not looking for him. Pride! Sera! Hurry, find the boy. Koiji, Kill the bastard teen wolf before his necklace recharges.” Akorum turned to Korahn and licked her dead looking lips. But just then, Korahn points up at the moon in a snicker and then to the his jewelry around Ray’s neck. The full moon powered the Necklace quickly and already. Ray would be able to choose his next combatant. Meanwhile, the thin pointed strip of metal is flung at Takako in a most aggressive fashion. The nail spun about threateningly at the ghostly woman’s chest, but the woman did not move. She merely stood there as the nail made it’s mark and pierced her flesh just beneath her neck. The nail embedded itself half way into Takako’s chest, but no blood could be seen pouring from her wound. She only smiled lightly with her eyes half open in a dreamy, daze expression. Even when her petite fingers removed the rust nail, there was no blood, nor even the slightest hint of pain. Like a nail stabbing clay, the hole left behind was just a black shadowed mark. Although this living clay was artificial skin, it looked and felt like flesh. The woman caressed her flesh wound a bit before stepping towards Rena and Daryll in the same day-dreaming lime expression covering her entire heavenly face. ”Daryll. Please. Come with me. I’ve missed you so much.” Takako whispered to her son as she held out her arms to him. Although Rena had blocked her from the child, the spirit like lady seemed to look right through Rena. Rena’s wings, her impressive coat of fur, and her snarling mouth full of teeth ready to crunch Takako’s face; all of this seemed to be invisible to the white dressed woman. She was now merely a few feet away from Rena with her arms extended; wanting to touch Daryll. |

(Despite all the rumbling and the tearing around, it was all the while TOO LATE for the golem called Chishio. He was dead in the greatest sense of the word. That is, destroyed. Ray chest-bursted from him like a friggin' alien and landed in a roll.) "Ray! Choose your next opponent quickly before any of them can leave this area!" "The Power belongs to his mother, Korahn. You have no say in this anymore since you abandoned your son long ago by not looking for him. Pride! Sera! Hurry, find the boy. Koiji, Kill the bastard teen wolf before his necklace recharges." Ray: Oh yeah, almost forgot! Not so fast, you lousy puppets. I'm not finished with you yet. (Ray pointed at Akorum.) Ray: Nobody tells one of my own kin what to do with his son. For that remark, I'll kill you and make sure you stay dead. (Then he briefly looks at the others, after his decision had already been made.) Ray: And if any of one of you tries to leave before saying goodbye, you'll be the next ones to see why wolves rule the land. (Back at Akorum...) Ray: Now come on! (The werewolf suddenly moves to attack the woman that he'd killed before. More than anything else, he wanted to silence her for good because of that insult, that demand for what they did not even earn. Daryll was not some trinket and neither were any of his powers, whatever they were. These lethal toys would just have to die with disappointment. Ray's run towards Akorum soon changed to a high leap with several somersaults to pick up velocity, which ended in him plummetting down at her with a kick that would impale a Buick.) |

Watching the woman take the nail out of her throat and keep coming like nothing was wrong was like witnessing a slow train wreck... or a bad horror flick. You knew what was going to happen, you knew it was going to be bad (or horribly weird), and yet you just can't stop watching because you don't want to believe it. "Lady.... you're psychotic." Staring at the approaching woman like she'd sprouted a second head, Rena shook her own. 'That is one stupid broad...' Glancing at the wound, she shook her head again. 'Not a bleeder, eh? Might have to see about that...' "Daryll. Please. Come with me. I’ve missed you so much.” Feeling her hackles lift even more with a whole new set of goosebumps, Rena let out another snarl. She wasn't even LOOKING at her! What the hell? Like any good warrior would, Rena was almost entirely too pissed off that her challenge was being ignored. She wasn't used to dealing with crazed human women who go looking for a fight, then ignore their opponent. Controlling her breaths, she resisted the urge to close her eyes, and instead took the time to count to three. She needed a clear head. When she finished, the woman was only a few feet away. It was soon becoming quite apparent that she would be initiating this fight. And the woman, if she didn't acknowledge Rena sooner or later, would most likely be reduced to ribbons. Bloody hell. "Hon.... ever messed with a PMSing werewolf?" Rena shrank closer to the ground for a second before launching herself at the woman, shoulder bared, wings spread. "It's NOT pretty!" Ramming her shoulder into the woman's chest and spinning, Rena extends her wings to be included in the motion, the backs of the inky feathers as bladed and deadly as the front. Spreading the pinions and aiming to bisect the woman through the middle, she finishes the movement by whipping the wings back out to block any route to Daryll, leaving Rena crouched and facing the woman whom she had hoped to shove off balance, then gut with the motion. OOC: speed posting.... wheefun. ><; |

(OOC: Daryll asked me to take his turn for him... or rather just to skip him. *smirks*) Akorum paused with widen eyes as the blurs all around the forest returned and set the magical effect in place. However, unlike Chishio’s blur, this hazy air held figures of people, and certain events. In fact, all the blurs that surrounded Ray and Akorum was forced into Ray’s mind like the cliché saying “My life flashed before my eyes.” It wasn’t his life he saw, it was Akorum's. He would see Akorum as a young girl planting flowers; looking lively and not so zombie like now. Then teen Akorum, and finally, a married and pregnant Akorum. Then a small boy being beaten by a group of bandits and Akorum screaming. Then the image of the two enchantresses Ray knew so well. They appeared by Akorum’s side. ”With this Scythe of Demonic Divinity, destroyed those bandits, and save your son. In return, you must offer your body as payment.” More images swooped in and out of Ray. The green haired sister bringing the boy to his father, and then Akorum’s body laying on the forest floor. A shadowy figure entering Akorum’s body which causes it to rise; looking pale and deathly. The Scythe of Demonic Divinity being stored away, and then a leap in time. Several years in the future, a boy named Micheal receiving the Scythe, and sent into a three way battle against a boy named Zoan, and a ninja named Koiji. The same Koiji that stood mere meters away. Then as quickly as the memories came, they vanished. The necklace around Ray’s neck pulsated with energy as it locked all the homunculi in the area while Akorum was thrown into a challenge. The dark woman gritted her teeth in frustration as she turned towards Ray with a glare of pure loathing. Already Ray had began his attack at such an impressive speed that Akorum, too, was shocked by the attack and astonished at how Ray would have killed her again. Ray would have killed her for the second time if she had not dove to the ground in quick reflex. Ray’s foot almost made its mark. The crash on the ground rumbled the earth. This crash wasn’t Ray’s attack colliding into matter. It was Akorum’s use of the symbols on her hand. With the gift to disrupt energy, Akorum caused the eart around her to explode right when Ray flew over it. The blast pushed the woman back, causing her to slide backwards a few feet before she was able to stand again. Did she get him this time? She couldn’t tell by the immense amount of smoke that filled the clearing. ”Stupid wolf! Stay out of my past!” She cried out as she gritted her teeth once more. The other shadows stood there waiting for that darn dust to settle so they could see what had happened. Korahn merely smirked as she crossed his arms smugly as if he knew something the others didn’t. Wolves had a special talent for getting out of difficult situations, especially werewolves. Even if Ray took the hit, Korahn was confident enough to not worry about Ray. There were more important things to worry about anyways. Although he didn’t express his worry, his mind raced with Daryll’s well being, the memory of his wife, and those damn sisters. Daryll’s well being, however, was in the hands of their newest ally against the two enchantresses, Rena. The beautiful lupin who now stood in the way of Daryll’s deceased mother. The heavenly appearance of Daryll’s mother seem to brighten up the feet feet around the three as Takako’s flowing gown fluttered in front of Rena’s muzzle. Her hand was so close to Daryll and Rena. Then suddenly the air around them dropped by a good thirty or forty degrees. Already the night was cool, but now it felt like the middle of winter. The reason for this sudden change of temperature was Takao’s mouth had began to open. Already she was ready to drain the energy out of every living thing around her. As she opened her full, pouty lips, a soft hissing sound could be heard, followed by what sounded like thousands of people screaming in agonizing pain. And then, there it came, like a vortex, energy began to drain from the energy, but Daryll and Rena were unaffected. The force field that surrounded them shimmered slightly before bursting into specks of white light and was pulled forward into Takako’s vortex. The trees and other plant life began to shrivel and turn black while the butterflies the covered the forest clearing hit the soil; dead and dried out. As the last of the barrier was devoured, Takako closed her kissy lips and looked at Daryll; still somewhat ignoring the wolf female that stood in her way. Even with Rena’s great, bladed wings, the ghost woman’s eyes did not seem drawn to them. Takako then whispered. ”Please, come with me. You’ll be safer. The sisters will be here soon. We must escape. Please, come with me. You can take your friend with you.” Takako’s soft lips stopped smiling and became more serious; almost desperate. Of course, her dazed face still remained, but it seemed as if she were made to forever to look that way. After all, not even the most powerful wizard, the most ingenious scientist, or the most skilled shaman could bring back the dead. It was true, she wasn’t real, per se, but she still possessed all of Takako’s memories. The woman finally looked down at Rena and tilted her head. ”Will you let me save my son?” (((OOC: I am so sorry the wrong copy of my post was posted instead of the complete one. It caused so much confusion, and unneeded hard feelings to come up. I found the right file on my Microsoft word, and have added it to my post. Thank you so much for understanding. Daryll, Rena, please edit your posts to fit the now correct post. Again, I'm so sorry, and Thank you.))) But then, Rena’s howling anger shot force with icy hate, “It’s not pretty!”. Her shout washed over Takako which caused the ghostly woman to step back suddenly. Even with her deadly display, she showed a startled expression. And then, the wolf launched at her before Takako could even blink those too-perfect eyes. A crack is heard as Takako’s ribs seem to shatter. After all, shadows or not, these beings seemed to be of human strength. Even a human body builder was still a mere weakling compared to a she-wolf. And Takako was definitely no body builder. A gasp barely escaped her pain filled throat as she stubbles back. Already, Takako was forced back enough to allow the two lupines to escape, but it seemed extra measures were added just in case. A rippling of razor feathers saw to it that Takako wouldn’t be following them, or leading them anywhere. Like scissors, the blades sliced the ghost woman’s middle, but instead of opening up her guts, her thin frame was complete cut in half. Her slender body just couldn’t handle such an immense aggression. There, her upper body falls forward as her legs topple over. There she lays motionless, tears rolling down the side of her face from her dead eyes. Like Korahn explained before to Daryll, the homunculus didn’t have blood, nor organs, nor ordinary colored meat. Takako’s body, although severed in half, was like clay. |

Ray: What in the hell...is this? How can I see these things without the Scent Memory? Unless... (The necklace. That was the only answer. He didn't understand how, but it was showing him things in the blink of an eye, things that he had no choice but to see. He understood what it was trying to tell him. It was letting him know that these creatures, these homunculi, were once living beings. Once. However, Ray was not in a forgiving mood right now, so his battle ethic did not falter. However, when he hit ground instead of Akorum, the ground shook and...exploded! Smoke and rubble goes everywhere! Visibility is cut off! Where was Ray?) "Stupid wolf! Stay out of my past!" Ray: If you want me out of your past, then you keep it out of me. I don't even know how this thing works. (That voice came from above! Ray was apparently hanging onto the branch of a tree. How did he ever get up there? The blast? It's possible... Actually, it was both the blast AND Ray's sudden last-ditch attempt at jumping out of the way. He let himself go and dropped to the ground.) Ray: Also, you should've thought about that before getting involved in this. (He had his sword in hand again, having picked it up from the ground. Only now...he wasn't going to use it quite as perscribed, but how HE wanted to use it. That is, he took it in his hand and...threw it! It spun directly for Akorum, who would have to take some sort of action to stave it off or duck it. Following it shortly thereafter to deliver a very heavy-handed punch to whatever part of Akorum presented itself.) |

(Sheeeeesh. :P) The deadly chill of Takako's breath lightly flowed through the area, making the boy shake. The life around them was being affected. Trees wilted, more moths dying in a crumpled, shrivelled manner. The boy, still being protected by Rena, soon found himself thinking. 'If the life around us is being affected, how come we are not dying?' It almost seemed to be answered, but the razor blades and the attackings of Rena got to the Homunculi first. This made him pause, eyes opening then closing slowly before he stepped back a bit. He was now within very slight view of Takako's sliced "body", but still within the protection of Rena. After watching her, he spoke, "Wait... Rena... Why do you think we are not being affected, while the life around us is?" He gazed about them at the dying life, more moths and plants dying with each breath she took. "Do you think... that there may be something else behind the Holumculi, aside from an empty shell?" |

Straightening back into a comfortable defensive position, Rena took a second to look down at the eviscerated 'woman'. Snorting in contempt, she quickly scanned the woods around them. The dead and dying forest that minutes ago had been so full of life. This couldn't be good news, and so long as the corpse lay at their feet, visible, and not hacked into square inch bits, she would still feel the need to hurry. Sensing Daryll's aura shift emotional tracks behind her, Rena payed a little more attention to him, although she never turned her head, nor took her eyes off of the forest in front of her. Listening to his question, Rena Shook her head and mentally began thinking up a new strategy. "Look, kid. I don't know a thing about the Holumculi, I don't know your mom, and I don't really know you. But your dad and Ray want me to keep you safe and away from these psychotic things, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Make an effort to sympathize with this one (jerking her thumb towards the shredded woman) or do anything that will put us in any further danger, and I'll give you a quick thump and pull you out of here unconscious, but still breathing. Got me?" OOC: Okay, edited. Go ahead and respond, Daryll, then we can get a move on with the post. XP |

(It's been a while, and I'm still not 100%, but here you go. Sorry for the delay.) “Also, you should've thought about that before getting involved in this.” Akorum gritted her teeth as she normal does when agitated. She thought of memories within her, and then looked at Ray with a glare of pure loathing. Her red dead eyes seem to flash with the anger building inside her as she griped at the air which caused streams of yellow lightning to gather in her hand. The marks on her palm began to glow as the ground beneath her began to crack. Wind swirled around her causing the silk black robes and her long raven hair to flutter about. But then, the sword came flying at her. What a surprise it was. Akorum’s eyes widen as she grips her fist tighter as a flash of blue energy joined the lighting which was most likely just transmutation energy. Following the sword was Ray; ready to attack if the sword did not connect, and it wouldn’t have if not that cold breeze that swept over the lycan and the dead woman. A whisper over came them. “..let him...” Akorum tilted her head back, but kept her eyes on Ray as she released her grip there by canceling the powerful blast she would have launched out. The lights faded just as the sword cut through clay like flesh. Like a saw, it sliced Akorum down the middle; all the way to her waist. No blood, but that was expected, even when Ray’s fist slammed into her which sent her corpse to the floor. The blurs formed once more and faded out. With two of the homunculi dead, the other three that were left watched Ray bitterly, yet a sense of fear glinted in there eyes. They had never showed nervousness when confronting Ray, so the change in the atmosphere would have seemed odd if Ray was keen on things like this. Pride, Sera, and Koiji waited. They knew it would be foolish to leave if Ray chose his next opponent. They just waited. Like Ray Promise, he killed Akorum, but making sure she stayed dead was something Ray would have to wait for. ”You need to take the others out fast, Ray.” Korahn struggled under his breath. Sera, the homunculus girl, took a deep breath and stepped forward a little bit less then confident. ”Y-you can choosies me nexties. I makingies s-suresies you diessies.” She says as she drops a piece of paper to the ground at her feet. It immediately burst into flames and turned to ash. Meanwhile, Daryll and Rena were off on there own with no one after them. The moths had been killed off, and Takako was sliced in half. Even the sisters seemed to have lost interest in following Daryll. But, just before Rena could take Daryll to safety, a small burst of flame, similar to someone lighting a match, appeared at Daryll’s feet. The same piece of paper Sera drop made it’s way to Daryll which read. You father is wounded badly. Go to him now before Ray kills the rest of us. Once Ray finishes us off, the sisters will be able to get you. –Love, Sera. |

(The sword broke right through the homunculus like it was nothing and soon embedded itself in a tree like some casually-launched spear or arrow. Ray stopped himself after he knocked the already-killed body and looked carefully, thinking about what just happened. Something was wrong. He thought he heard something a moment ago, and it was certainly very odd to see this woman go down twice with apparently little effort. That seemed off, somehow. Were they toying with him? Chisio was most certainly dead in a final sort of way. They'd have to rebuild him from scratch if they ever wanted him back, and it wouldn't be the same guy either. He was about to render Akorum in the same manner when Korahn spoke.) ”You need to take the others out fast, Ray.” ”Y-you can choosies me nexties. I makingies s-suresies you diessies.” (Ray was agitated by all this. What they had to do was catch up with Rena and Daryll. Not this! He looked over to Akorum, who was decidedly dead for the time being.) Ray: Just stay dead this time. Your life is a mess, otherwise. (Then, he turned towards the three remaining challengers, who were all present and accounted for. Good thing too, because he was going to make good on any promise or threat that he made. In fact, he had an idea now, sort of an insurance policy. He couldn't be with Rena and Daryll right now, but he would be there in spirit. He spoke up to Sera now.) Ray: You don't seem all that confident anymore. Having second thoughts? I thought anyone working for the sisters weren't allowed to think for themselves. You're next. (He wasn't sure what it was that made him choose the kid-like one next. Something in her voice set him off. Not the threat, but the slight fear. Something wasn't right here. It was already bad enough he was stuck in mortal combat while the sisters could try their luck with his friend, the shewolf, and Daryll, the kid-wolf. But...was there more to it? Ray remembered not to underestimate Sera, though, as Korahn said. He started off with a question.) Ray: Since this amulet thingy's cranking out answers to questions I never posed, I may as well ask... How does a child end up being a tool for murder? |

The first thing that ran through his mind when he saw the small burst of flame was 'What the heck is attacking us now?' However, he soon saw the note float into his hand, blinking... "You father is wounded badly. Go to him now before Ray kills the rest of us. Once Ray finishes us off, the sisters will be able to get you. –Love, Sera"! He read aloud, hoping that Rena could hear him, speaking with a bit of a surprised and angered voice. He growled a little bit, frowning before he looked into Rena's eyes. All that he said was, "We have to go back. I'm not getting out of here... The sisters are keeping their minions and Ray and Dad busy while we are heading out of the forest... leaving me ready to get taken by the sisters. We need to go back!" |

Rena heard him read the letter all right, and she hated the sound of it. Something about this whole business seemed fishy right from the beginning. Letting out a low-grade snarl, Rena eyed Daryll with a look that was less than friendly. It wasn't directed at him, necessarily, but at what he was expecting them to do. "The sisters aren't going to get you, kid. Three fully grown werewolves are hard to beat, especially when they're fighting for their pack. Your dad may get a few injuries, but I'll tell you this... it takes hell of a lot to put a werewolf down." Thinking through the situation, Rena hadn't quite consigned herself to backtracking just yet. She readied herself, then leapt onto the trunk of a nearby tree, latching into the bark with the long, serrated claws of her hands and feet, securing herself and looking down skeptically at the kid werewolf. "And what makes you think this 'Sera' person is on our side, anyway?" Tipping her muzzle back, a long and seemingly detailed howl poured out into the night air, resonating between the trees, carrying through the forest to the others. It was a howl of frustration, mostly, but it briefly relayed their circumstances and asked for directions. Rena had concluded to herself that if anyone knew what was really going on, it would be them. Tilting her head to the side, she put an ear to the wind, waiting for a returning howl. OOC: *groan* So much left to do... so little that's actually done. |
