It had been a long time since he had left the campus, moving on after graduation to try and find where he felt he was most needed in the world. He'd found it alright, but he wound up returning a completely different person. Physically he was somehow in even better shape, but emotionally he was essentially a complete and total wreck. He'd undoubtedly throw any empaths into one hell of a depression if they were unfortunate enough to use their power around him, there were quite a few things he'd done and been through that had transformed the energetic brawler into a cold, reclusive shell of his former self. He'd been through plenty in his two years as a student at AHS, but nothing, not even the concentration camps, were able to turn him into the wreck he was now.

His black dreadlocks were gone, in their place was shoulder-length black hair that just didn't seem to have the same psychological effect on those around him. His trenchcoat was gone as well, it had become too expensive to constantly replace them every time he used his power and put new holes in them. He no longer wore the black tee-shirts he used to either, now he preferred to wear a simple black tanktop. It definitely fit him well, but showing off his build was hardly the reason he started wearing them. The real reason was simple: they were a lot cheaper than t-shirts were. Only a few dollars so; but at the rate his bone-manipulation power reduced his clothing to ribbons of cloth, those few dollars added up pretty damn quick. He still had the same black jeans and military boots though, the jeans were almost always the same price no matter where he looked, and he'd just grown too attached to his steeltoe boots to part with them. He no longer wore his black sunglasses either, and his icy blue eyes had a sense of despair and hollowness to them that one would think he'd been surrounded by nothing but death for years on end. In reality, it was only a few months. Aside from his eyes and his altered demeanor, the only other visible sign of what he'd been through were the scars that now covered his body. The bulk of which were hidden by the black tanktop he wore, but there were several small scars on his face and arms, as well as a scar at least an inch in diameter on each upper arm, forearm, and in the palm of each hand. Those were a result of his bone-spikes (his healing power had lost some of its effectiveness recently), but the numerous smaller scars were a result of shrapnel from a bomb blast and the debris that followed.

" . . . not much has changed . . . " he muttered quietly, speaking to no one in the courtyard but himself, "peaceful for a change, though . . . "

He didn't reflect on the matter long though, he had a few things to attend to. He wanted to know how much had changed since he left, how his friends were doing, and more importantly if they were even alive anymore to begin with . . .

((Good, siggy is smaller now ^^))

The lingering remnants of her dream earlier were wearing off. A matter a fact, after stretching her body, she could barely feel the soreness left behind from the dream. Now that she was feeling better, she walked through the courtyard; on to her next destination. There really wasn’t anything to do. Already, she had missed all her classes. That was the third time this week that she skipped out on classes, and it wasn’t even done on purpose. It was odd. For the first time in a long time, Damara found herself considering the possibility of seeking out help. The thought had come, but quickly passed.

Her black hair was kept at it same long length. The silky midnight strands fell with a slight curl to her knees. One day, she was going to have to cut it shorter. No matter how many times she considered it, she couldn’t bring herself to part with her long locks. The hair on the right side of her face was tucked behind her ear, but the hair on the left was left free. Because of it, the hair fell forward, and hid away that side of her face. As for clothing, there was no need to wear the uniform, classes had ended. In its place, she wore a pair of simple black pants; which were complimented with a crimson blouse. The strap of a medium sized messenger back was slung over her left shoulder. Since she wasn’t carrying much, it was pretty light.

There was no need to look up. She gazed downward at the ground ; not paying attention to the people she passed by. Her mind was too bust thinking about the events of this morning to care about the people around her. However, a familiar presence tore her way from her thoughts. The torment she sensed yanked at her already faltering bonds to sanity. Had she not been on her own constant emotional and physical roller coaster, the emotions being projected might have had an even worse impact on her. Whether she could handle it or not was not the issue. She really didn’t need to add someone else’s torment on to her own, and so she pushed the power back. She couldn’t shut it off. It wasn’t like it was some kind of light switch. However, she knew how to numb its affects. She already knew who the person was. She knew who was suffering under all of that chaos.

Damara looked up with her sapphire blue eyes, and looked for her target. She found him standing some feet in front of her, almost hidden by a tree. She walked over to him. Even though she could have commented on what her empath power had picked up, she didn’t. She didn’t want people meddling in her business, and so she wouldn’t meddle in others. She walked off to the side, and stopped short so that she was standing slightly in front of him.

“Seth.”

It was Seth, but the figure in front of her changed. Not only mentally, but physically. She took a moment to let her gaze look over him. No more dreads, different outfit, more scars, he wasn’t even wearing his glasses. She finally let her gaze settle on his blue eyes. It seemed life had been equally cruel to him, if not more.

“You graduated, didn’t you. Why come back?”

"Seth."

"Afternoon, Damara . . . " Seth replied, his eyes darting over to look into hers the instant she spoke up. More than enough to make anyone uncomfortable (and no not that way you pervs!), but Seth didn't intentionally do so. His appearance and lack of any sort of facial expression was mostly to blame for that particular side effect. "Apparently AHS has managed to stay out of trouble in my absence . . . which is probably the reason . . . " His voice didn't have a depressing tone to it so much as it did an insightful one, and a rather gloomy one at that.

"Correct. Had to leave and try to find something to do . . . a job, anything similar. I found one, and it is the reason I had to come back . . . " Seth replied with a sigh, "Even warhawks like myself need a little peace from time to time . . . I came back mostly to make sure I wasn't needed, and that my friends remained unharmed . . . how have you been, Damara? From your appearance, it looks like the times have been kind to you . . . "

His eyes looked to her, ands she instantly noticed how much weight he had to his gaze. She didn’t flinch, but couldn’t help but wonder what could have happened in such a short time span. Not that much time had passed. He spoke to her again, but she really wasn’t paying attention. She always thought his eyes were stunning, but know they had such a distant, almost broken gaze to them. In response, she simple nodded to his comment about AHS.

Unconsciously, she pushed back the hair on her left side so that it too would be tucked behind her ear. This way it wouldn’t obstruct her view of him. As she stood there, she even considered using her empathy powers, but knew better. She was stronger then the temptation.

"Even warhawks like myself need a little peace from time to time

“yes, you seem like you might have been to hell and back.” And she meant the comment to vaguely apply to more then just the physical. “ From my knowledge, the school has been doing fine.” When he commented on her, she stood still for a moment. She forgot that her problems were not reflected through her physical self. She probably did look like things were well with her. Again, she nodded her head. “Yes, things have been well for me. Dare I say more so then they have been for you.” Okay, so it wasn’t the truth. It wasn’t like complaining about it would make anything better.

After her comment, she crossed over in front of him, and leaned up against the tree that was near by. She was in no rush.

"If you want the honest truth . . . I have . . . in a manner of speaking, that is. It was more Hell-on-Earth than anything else, but you get the idea . . . " Seth replied, almost fairly certain he came off as insane at this point. Still, it was the truth, and he felt obliged to try and explain it a little better. "Long story short, sorceress and a deal with the devil, took over the portal from here to hell and let all sorts of fun things out. I walked right into the area and even wound up working for her before I realized it was a bad idea. The mess still hasn't been cleaned up, but if I stayed there to help clean it up another minute I'd either get killed or go insane . . . I miss the traditional bad guys AHS tended to get. Much easier to fight, much more pleasant and bearable . . . "

Seth didn't say anything at first, only kept his eyes locked on Damara's. He now had a different gaze though, one that seemed to stare right through a person and into their soul. He maintained the gaze for a moment longer before lightly chuckling to himself. "Damara . . . you're not telling me something . . . aren't you?" It wasn't telepathy, he just didn't believe her. Sure he was an incompetent fool when it came to reading body language when it came to romantic issues, but when it came to matters like this (and his own survival), he could pick out the slightest clues as if they were plain as day . . .

"If you want the honest truth . . . I have . . . in a manner of speaking, that is. It was more Hell-on-Earth than anything else, but you get the idea . . . "

At that Damara stood straight, lifting her weight off of the side of the tree. As she did that, she shifted so that her right leg was supporting most of her weight. Her arms lightlly cross in front of her stomach as she let his words sink in. She felt as her left eye brow slight rose, as she considered what he said. It wasn’t totally unbelievable. She remained silent as he continued on to further explain what he just said.

“I see, sounds like you had fun”

She said with a hint of sarcasm to her voice. Not enough to offend though. Damara never had the pleasure of having to deal with the bad guys of AHS. Maybe that was her luck, maybe not. Even if she was never apart of the festivities, she certainly had heard enough about them.

“Well, try to relax a bit during your stay here. You look like you need it.”

There was silence for a moment. Damara didn’t flinch away from his gaze. Whatever he was looking for, he wasn’t going to find it.

"Damara . . . you're not telling me something . . . aren't you

She remained still for a moment, listening to his light chuckle that accompanied his questioning statement. She responded to it all with one of her own little grins. Nothing to large, just a slight curl of her lip.

“You are the one that said things look like that have been doing well for me. I am simply agreeing. If I told you I was being sincere, would you believe me?”

She lightly shrugged her shoulders, and let the grin fade away. She then turned her gaze away from him, and glanced toward the building.

“Where were you headed?” She said before looking back to him.

"I can't even get sleep anymore . . . funny how you only realize how wonderful it was once you don't have the ability to enjoy it anymore . . . killing an innocent by accident is one thing, but to murder an innocent while working for the wrong side . . . is the sort of thing that can haunt you for the rest of your life. "I'd believe you were telling me a half-truth, but wouldn't pry any deeper since you obviously didn't want to discuss the matter . . . " Seth replied, "Your life; your business I suppose. I was only offering to help by giving you someone who'd listen..."

Especially if you watched them die the way she did, and were given her name . . . "

Ironically, his comments had hit home for her. She too took sleep for granted. She never before realized how much of an escape sleep could be. No longer could she enjoy the simple moments of unconscious rest. Every time she closed her eyes, the pain would return, both physical and mental. Every time, it felt like she was losing something from herself. Not just losing it; it was like something was being ripped away from her. Her gaze dropped to the ground again. Unlike Seth, she had no hesitation in killing the innocent. If they were in her way, then they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. A few of those innocents were now haunting every nightmare, and now they were reaching in to her mind, soul and body while she was awake.

“It always amazed me how you could be so sensitive to the lives of ‘innocent’ people” She said with a low sigh as she looked back up at him. “You and I were never the same when it came to that. ”Moving on though, I can unfortunately relate to inability to sleep peacefully.”

"I'd believe you were telling me a half-truth, but wouldn't pry any deeper since you obviously didn't want to discuss the matter . . . " Seth replied, "Your life; your business suppose. I was only offering to help by giving you someone who'd listen..."

“Thank you for your concern, and for respecting my privacy.” She wasn’t one to usually thank others, but ever since Seth had helped her get out of that hospital, she felt the need to try to be courteous around him. It wouldn’t kill her to polite to him. “I appreciate the offer, but bitching and moaning about my problems wouldn’t really solve them, would they? Heh, knowing me, I wouldn’t be surprised if I am just losing my grip on reality again. It comes and it goes. If that is the issue, it is bound to fix itself eventually.” Last time she had lost her grip on reality, a few people had died. However, that was a different situation. Those who she pursued deserved worse then what she gave them. This time, she wasn’t in a blind rage. A matter a fact, she wasn’t sure what the hell was going on this time.

"Somehow, I think I am suppose to be flattered that I was your top priority. I am surprised though. I am alive and breathing.” She took a slight step back, and looked over Seth again. She remembered when she met him up on the roof, and how she acted then. She was so different now. It was amazing how life could change a person. ”Tell me, what is up with the change in image.”

"My conscience just happens to be a little more fragile is all. I killed that one woman, and now whenever I sleep I'm forced to watch and hear it happen all over again. And I'd venture a guess that my bone-spikes tearing the flesh from a person's body, reducing bone to splinters, and utterly destroying any evidence that they were ever human would rank up there with the worst you'd ever done. What's worse, is not only was she alive while it happened, but for a short while afterward as well . . . I have to experience that at a bare minimum of once a night, and that's when I'm lucky . . . if I'm not, I'll watch it again and again before actually being granted the ability to wake up . . . "

"No, it rarely ever does. It's useful for relieving the stress that stems from such problems, which in turn makes it much easier to deal with them. I don't get to do it often, hard to find someone willing to listen to me. Serving the bad guys didn't win me any points with the good ones, neither did killing one of their own . . . " Seth explained, sighing before continuing. "Doesn't help that I'm working with them now either. Nevermind the fact I tried my best to make up for what I did, I'm still the bad guy who killed their friend. Sometimes I think compassion is a long forgotten virtue . . . "

The description of what happened to the girl did sound gruesome. She wasn’t surprised that it would haunt someone’s every waking moment. However, It just didn’t bother her. Never had she dreamed bout those she killed, innocent or not. No matter how gruesome it was. Once it was over, it was over. Most of the time, she never though about it again. That said a lot about her conscious. Damara’s head slightly tilted towards her right shoulder as she stared at him. Was this the only thing that was tearing him up insides. His emotions were wreck. His whole mental state was a wreck. No that she thought about, she wondered if there was a drug out there that would grant the taker a dreamless sleep. If there was, that would be Seth’s ticket to a peaceful rest. Not to also mention, the ticket to hers as well.

Again, she had to stop herself from prying to deeply in to his business. However, from what he said, it sounded like he wouldn’t mind telling his problems to someone. Like he had just said, it would help to relieve the stress of his problem. Already he had told her quite a bit, maybe he wanted to tell her more. The difference between the two was that if Damara needed to speak to someone, there were a few people who she could go to. Despite her action in the past, and her capability to repeat them in the future. For some reason , it seemed like none of that matter. The people who associated with her always tended to be able to look past such things. At the moment, she wasn’t sure if she was thankful or not for such things. As it went, she never spoke about the things that happened to her. Her past, the rapes her sisters, the dreams, those she killed. Those were things only she knew.

She had to give it up to Seth, He knew that she wasn’t the most normal person in the world. He had come and taken her away from a mental institution. Despite that, not once had he tried to pry in to her business and find out what happened.

“I may not be all for talking, but if you feel like you want to talk. I will listen. I don’t know how much of a help I would be to you. My views on certain things or controversial at the least. Despite that, I am sure I am not the only one here that would listen to you, and talk to you about the things that are obviously interrupting your normal pattern of life.” She considered the bits of information he was giving her so far "I could tell, way before you told me, that you are having some extreme problems. The thoughts, and emotions that are radiating off of you are chaotic, and quite depressing. Could I take a guess and say that more happened to the. More then what you are telling me? It is rare for someone’s own emotional field to disrupt my own in that way. I am sure If I wasn’t half way numb to such emotions, cause I deal with them on a regular basis, It would have had a worse affect on me. My advice would be to stay away from very sensitive Empaths. “

"The clothing and hairstyle's just due to practicality. And for a while, shortage of money. " Seth replied, managing a half-hearted laugh for the last part, "You can see why I needed a bit of a rest too, now . . . "

“If the healing power has been acting up, Maybe you should consider using your spike power a little less. One day it might full backfire on you. From what you say, It is a good thing you are getting away. Are you trying to get yourself killed.” She said the last bit a bit sarcastically” All that aside, I like the new look. You should have never hid your eyes in the first place.” She then glanced back toward the school again. “Where are you staying while you are here.”

"It's all the same whether you say something or not, the actual benefit comes from just having someone to listen, Damara. And yes, that's not the only incident either. Try living somewhere that is in almost constant chaos, and with plenty of bloodshed to go around. The worst one to date happened at the campus foyer . . . the resident demon and his lackeys decided to attack the school again and detonated a bomb at the front doors. I'm most likely the only one inside the killing radius that didn't die, and that's only becuase of my healing power. I did get buried under rubble though, and when I dug out . . . the foyer was filled with the mutilated bodies of both the dead and the living. The wounded were in agony, you'd be able to tell by simply hearing alone, and seeing what was left of the dead wasn't pleasant. Then of course, those of us who could still fight had to fight him and his lackeys off . . . I got charged with taking care of the woman under his command, who had far too much firepower for her own good . . . aside from being shot all to hell, I also had three .45 bullets go through my right lung . . . and got blown up yet again to receive more shrapnel wounds. Then of course, you would have to imagine having to fight the one person you love most in the world . . . nearly being killed by them, but thankfully getting through to them and stopping the fight - only to have them stolen away from you shortly afterward. Then imagine having to deal with all of that in the course of two weeks or less . . . " Seth replied, "And you would have a brief summary of what I had to deal with. One or all of the above events typically happen on an almost daily basis, as well, so it's probably the fastest method to losing your sanity as possible. I'd love to avoid empaths during my stay here too, Damara, but unfortunately one of them is one of the others I've come to check up on. So I'm afraid that it's a bit impossible . . . "

"I appreciate it Damara, but I've never been one to heed the warnings I've been given. For the record though, my bone-manipulation power has already backfired on me, I've had to be hospitalized for critical blood loss on at least half a dozen seperate occasions. I've learned to take things like that in stride, though . . . " he answered, managing a bit of a smirk before continuing. "I've also never been one to care much about my appearance, though it's nice to know others do. Especially if it's someone with your beauty, you could probably get an entire room's attention simply by walking in."

"Well, since I graduated I figured I wouldn't be able to stay at the dorms anymore. Thankfully I'm not broke anymore, I managed to get a job working as a bouncer downtown. So I was able to get an apartment as well, and a decent car as well. The latter was unfortunately obtained through rather 'questionable' methods, but I don't plan on walking everywhere I go . . . "

Okay, that was a lot to take in. She stood silent for a moment, letting it all sink in. Now, out of everything he had just told her, what should she tackle first. She considered commenting on the events that had caused him to be the way now, but she quickly decided against it. She really couldn’t think of much of anything to say in respond to it. Already, she had warned him that she would not be able to respond and provide much comfort. However, he did say that all she needed to do was listen, and that was exactly what she had done. Since he had already said it was okay, it pointless to try to think of something to comforting to say to him. The role of a comforting friend was not a role she could ever play; no matter who the person was. Sympathy was a rare thing to find in Damara. Anything she would have said would not have sounded sincere anyway.

“The Empath you are going to see will probably be of much more help then I can. It is true you said that all one needs to do is listen, but sometimes that is not enough. “ she shrugged her shoulders. Her first impression of Seth was that he wasn‘t much of a talker. She had been very wrong. If she had been in his shoes, She wouldn‘t have so easily given up so much personal information. “ Anyway, If you just need someone to listen, I am located in Byakko house.” She turned her gaze downward to the shoulder bag. Reaching , she took out a pen and ripped the corner of a piece off paper from her spiral notebook. She then jotted down a series of numbers and wrote her name in script. “ Here is the phone number to my dorm. I am usually up late, I try to cut back on sleeping.” She said as she handed him the piece of paper. She had ignored the compliment towards her appearance. She was never good with compliments, and never really cared for them. She didn’t really care for them when Dario complimented her either. Somehow, she just never seemed to care. When she had first met Seth, she had played a lot off of her appearance. She knew she was attractive, and loved to use it, along with her direct nature, to make other uncomfortable. It was amazing how she had done a complete 180 degree turn. She really couldn’t appreciate the looks she was blessed with lately. Lately being the past year, she was too busy trying to sort through all the shit in her life.

“Well, I guess a car would be necessary if you planned to do a lot of traveling. As for how you got the car, it really doesn‘t matter to me.” She sighed lightly, feeling the breath as it pushed past her lips. She hadn’t gotten a lot of sleep, but none of it seemed to matter. Ironically, the more she tried to get sleep, the more tired she would feel when she awoke. Her 3 hour naps here and there were working out much better. A yawn began to escape her, and she used her hand cover her mouth. The hair that had been safely tucked behind her ear fell loose, and she had to push it back again. Then it hit her again, the same sharp pain that hit her this morning. Like earlier, it had faded away as quickly as it had come. The only difference was this time, she managed not to fall on to her ass. The only outward hint she gave to the pain was that her body suddenly tensed for a moment. “fuck” Damara said as she cursed softly under her breath. The pain was gone, but the shock of the moment lingered there. Damara took in a deep breath and forced her body to come to terms with the fact that it was over, for now. She closed her eyes, and lightly rubbed her forehead.

Nayama had been walking through the forest with her little animal friends. They usually stayed with her because of her level of power, which kept all the dangerous demons away from the helpless animals. She had stooped down to pick up one of the small white and red foxes, but she stopped when something seemed to smack her in the back of the head. She stood quickly and looked up through the leaves of the trees. Her loose silver hair was immediately tied back into a ponytail by the wind with a small vine from one of the trees. This was a habit of the elements now, whenever she was going to fly off somewhere.

Nayama, what's the matter? You seem to be panicing, but there's nothing wrong.

Kohaku... I sence someone... but I can't tell...

Immediately, she flew off into the sky.

The familliar ki of someone I know... but it's different, as if a total stranger.

The edge of the forest passed her as she flew toward the school as fast as she could.

Could it be?

The buildings of the school were clear in her sight now.

After so long?

The courtyard...

It can only be...!

"SETH!!!!!" She desended at an amazing rate toward the raven haired boy. The wind around the courtyard picked up intensly as the green eyed girl was barely able to slow herself enough in front of him to push them back a few feet as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He barely looked like himself, it was a miracle that she was able to find him. Someting was wrong... something had happened... she was going to find out what.

"Damara, are you okay?" Seth asked, immediately ignoring the paper and the instructions she'd just given him and his voice having a touch of concern to it. He'd come back to make sure he wasn't in danger of losing anyone close to him, and he should have known better than to hope that everything would have been alright. That just wouldn't be possible, he'd learned that misery or at the very least; trouble, tended to follow him wherever he went. Which did not make for good first impressions. "And don't try telling me 'yes' here either, I want an honest answer."

"SETH!!!!!"

A look of resignation crossed Seth's face, he knew exactly what was coming. Every time he'd heard Nayama shout his name like that, he always wound up on the receiving end of a rather . . . aggressive . . . hug. This was the first time she literally flew at him though.

"Let's see . . . . iron grip, air supply cut off, cute voice . . . . . ah, good afternoon Nayama . . . . . . . I missed you too, but . . . . . can I please have my head back now?" he asked, "There's something wrong with Damara . . . "

"Damara, are you okay?" "And don't try telling me 'yes' here either, I want an honest answer."

It was a question that was too be expected. He had knew she was lying earlier, so it was just a matter of waiting for him to ask. Now she had two options, she could lie, but he would know she was lying anyway. Or, she could simply tell the truth. It wasn’t like he asked a hard question. Besides why was she beating around the bush for. Was she ever alright. This new problem in her life was causing her to act more out of character then she would have liked.

"SETH!!!!!"

She heard the loud voice of a female yell out his name. She gazed around, then looked up. As to not be in the way of impact, Damara took a few steps back. She didn’t recognize the girl that was descending, but it was obvious that Seth knew her. Damara took the role of a spectator as she silently watched the girl embrace Seth. She must have been one of the other people he had come to check up on. She wasn’t upset at the interruption. In fact, it took the attention off of her for a moment. She remained still, and silent; allowing her gaze to switch between Seth and the silver haired girl. She had hair just like Naiya’s.

"Let's see . . . . iron grip, air supply cut off, cute voice . . . . . ah, good afternoon Nayama . . . . . . . I missed you too, but . . . . . can I please have my head back now?" "There's something wrong with Damara . . . "

She head Seth reply to the actions of the girl. So Nayama was her name. Damara lightly shook her head back and forth. She wasn’t sure if Seth noticed the motion, but it was habit to respond like that first.

“Don’t let your concern for me spoil this moment of reunion. No, I wasn’t okay. I am fine now.”

At least she wasn't lying.

Josa had been wandering the school for hours, asking everyone she knew about Seth Wynd, and where to find him. No one really had answers, but they had all said to look in the forest somewhere.
"Seth?"

She called for him, looking around. She was so excited that she had finally been accepted into AHS that she just had to find him.
There! By that beautiful old tree, he was. ...Talking to two other women.

Hmph! They had better not be trying to steal my Seth away.

She went into a full sprint, her raven locked dancing on the breeze. Fortunatly, she was wearing a little more than she used to. Usual corset, leather pants, knee high boots. "Seth!" She leapt into the air and tackled the poor man, her arms tightly wrapped around him and her lips pressing kisses to everywhere they could reach.
"I missed you!"

" . . . well . . . if you say so . . . " Seth replied, obviously still feeling she was keeping something from him. Still, until it became something he felt was far too serious to leave alone, he'd let her have her privacy. "I don't know if it'd count as a reunion, I'll only be staying here another year or two at most. At the very least it'd be another few weeks . . . GAH!"

What was it with him and getting attacked all of a sudden? Still . . . this one he didn't mind, he'd been missing Josa since he left the old campus.

"It's good to see you too, love. Though you don't see me trying to break your ribcage, do you? Nooooooo . . . " Seth said playfully, returning one of the several kisses before getting up. He still kept one arm around her waist as he made sure they both got up, the 'spider legs' emerging from his back to simply tilt him back onto his feet, and they retracted back into his body once the job was done. "Seems another set of introductions is in order . . . " he laughed, "Josa, meet Damara and Nayama. They're both old friends, and Nayama's the closest thing to family I have, so play nice . . . Nayama and Damara, meet Josa. For lack of a better word, she's my owner . . . "

It was no doubt surprising that he was suddenly in a bettter mood, the biggest change would be noticed by Damara through her empathy ability, so he figured that he better explain. "Her proper title would be 'the love of my life, and the only good thing to happen to me during my leave', but I think 'owner' is a little easier to remember. Little more accurate too, since I can't really avoid trying to keep her happy . . . and she can't keep me from trying, either . . . " He explained, still holding Josa close. He hoped she'd listen to him and stop worrying about Damara and Nayama. While she hadn't come outright and said it, he knew she had a tendency to be incredibly possessive . . .

Josa waved to both girls, smiling at Seth's description of her. "Hello, I'm the resident half-breed, how are you?"
She turned to Seth and giggled. "Isn't this great? I found you!" She hugged him tightly and nuzzled his chest. "I missed you so much, Nightmare Campus went to hell..." She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.
"Too many warlocks and dragon wannabes running around...how is it here?"
