Alara's smile melted to pure gratitude as she pushed open the doors to the caffeteria. Food! Glorious food! But, she had a job to do first that would hinder her satisfaction a brief moment longer. Still...Food! Her eyes kept darting toward the lunchline as she held the door wide for her following comrade. "Here is the lunchroom," she said quickly, trying to pry her gaze away to the young man. "It's very big, and there's lots of tables to sit at when you get your meal...Let's explore this concept, shall we?" Maybe she was a little too eager to eat, but her stomach had no qualms about her social faux pas. Abandoning the door, she hurried to grab a set of trays and handed one to him, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she peered over the other students' heads to see what was being served today. She hoped it was meat in one form or another. It was one thing she hadn't enjoyed regualarly on Maedos, but here, it was in abundance. "So, I guess it is my turn to ask a question, yes?" Alara said, still straining to see something other than a ladel full of brown goo. Was that gravy? Were they serving mashed potatoes? The distraction was almost too much as her stomach growled audibly. "Umm...Oh, yes...What do you do in your spare time? There has to be more than following me around. Even I could get bored of that!" She giggled, laughing at her own joke though not even she understood what struck her as funny. Alara rather liked this young man, beaming at him while waiting for an answer. |

Sweatdropping and almost laughing as she led him around the cafeteria, searching for a meal. He had no idea what it was that she yearned for but he wasn't picky in the least. Ever since he was young his family had him eat all kinds of different foods. From apples to Grandma's Zesty Ribs! He had tried at least one of everything, or so he thought. But here it smelled like mashed potatoes, beef gravy, and a sirloin steak. Taking the tray and smiling at her as they slowly progressed through the line towards the serving lady.
Thinking for a moment, he returned her laugh with his usual smile. "Well, so far I havent ha a lot of time to even find out where my dorm is. But I am sure that after a little while I will develop a habit of doing something in my spare time. And since it is my turn now, I might as well ask you the same question." |

With the promise of food securely cemented as the ladel of brown goo landed on her plate, Alara was able to focuss on other matters at hand. Her smile lit up her face, upturning her whisker-like markings and making her appear almost mischievious.
"No hobbies, huh?" she said, poking a finger into the papery mashed potatoes and sucking on the tip of her finger to clean it off. "Well, I guess that seems to happen a lot around here. As for your question, that was a statement, but I will answer anyway. I dance and sing a little in my spare time. Teehee, I can't help it, but it is part of my talent." The second thing dropped on her tray splashed a little on the front of her pleated skirt, sending a grimace up and down her spine as she saw it land. Guh! Unidentified Caffeteria meat goo! It was the worst kind as she tried to figure out if this was some form of stew or soup. It seemed to be too runny for stew but too thick for soup... Forcing the wave of greeness over her face to pass, she tried to focus on her new friend. Smiling around the clear disgust at her clothing, Alara tried to compose her next question. "Well, I can help you with finding your dorm. Which one were you assigned to?" |

"Well then, I bet you dance beautifully and sing just as well." The great parents he had spoken of had also taught him to speak very politely to women and compliment them often. So he tried to always say nice things about them whenever possible. Of course the compliments he had said about Alara were probably true anyways. Upon recieving such food, he was about to ask the cafeteria lady for something else, but decided that he would at least try out this almost experimental looking food at least once. He followed Alara to a table and sat down across from her. Staring down at the food detesting what it would probably taste like. He was even almost afraid to try it out.
Thinking for a moment, he couldn't remember. But luckily he still had the slip of paper in his pocket that had the name on it. Pulling the white slip of paper out, he remembered instantly. Though still looked at it just to make sure. "Suzaku, what about you?" He sincerely hoped that she would be in his house as well. For this way he would see her more often! |

Vintrict was rather starving after a night of training. He had went to sleep for a few hours then awoke in the afternoon. He forgot to fill his stomach in order to replenish his lost energy, but looks like he skipped such a thing in order to gather sleep. The boy walked himself toward the cafeteria, himself sort of weak, yet not showing it. He opens the door and is met by a large assortment of students everywhere. He sighs and walks to the back of one of the lines. As he moved more toward the lunch lady, he hears two people chatting about in front of them, although the girl seems to be more energetic and upbeat than the boy. She simply makes him laugh. |

As Alara heard his compliment, she blushed again. She seemed to be doing that more and more as she spoke with this smooth-spoken young man, even eliciting another blush for the mere thought of him. Well, she could control herself to an extent, couldn't she? She focussed on her hunger, and suddenly, Alara's feet were carrying her quickly to the nearest table to eat. It wasn't as horrible as it looked, but she certainly didn't want to be sporting a grease-stained skirt for the rest of the day. A miracle it would be if his next destination brought her close to the dormitories for just a moment more. Heck, she'd settle with the lavoratories, but those were readily available, and she doubted he needed an escort to the 'little boys room.' Trying to keep her ravenous hunger in check as she spooned the thin stew (she had decided at last that beef meant stew instead of soup) into her mouth hastily, Alara tried to focus on the young man before her.
Her spoon halted a milimeter from her openned lips, and she let out a soft gasp. What luck, but she had to be sure she wasn't imposing too heavily. Already, their trip to the caffeteria had been made to suit her needs as he grimaced openly at the tray before him. Hmm. Well, he did need to know where he would be living, didn't he? Alara supposed that should be reason enough. Anyway, there might be more than a few passerby to keep him company while she slipped into her own room to change. She abandoned her embarrassment for bravado. "Why, that is the same house as mine!" Alara said, grinning like a fox again. "I will show you, if you wish it..." She managed to slip the spoon into her mouth without interrupting the words, but still, she had to swallow. "Or have you already registered your belongings and room?" Please no. I need to get a different skirt! Stupid goo! A tremble of disgust washed over her as she felt a smidgeon of the unidentified caffeteria goo seep through the thick weave of the pleated skirt and rest on her leg. With reckless abandonment, she sprang up, tossing the spoon over her shoulder and dancing in place as the grease continued to disgust her. "Gross! Gross! Gross!" Snatching for a napkin, she wiped off the offending smudge and stared with a scowl at the paper rag. Well, there went her calm demeanor. Stupid goo. She blamed it. Forcing a smile through the paleness of her face, she turned to Takeda. "I'm sorry," she said. "You were saying?" |

Thinking for a moment, Takeda remembered the erson who had accepted him into AHS. He had told him that he needed to register his belongings and then he would then recieve a room. Not yet had he done that, the closest thing to it was figuring out what house he was in! "No, I still need to go do that. Perhaps I will go do that and then meet you somewhere after this." He smiled and hoped that she want disappointed or anything. ((You will have to find a way to wind yourself into this post dude. But I dont mind)) |

Alara breathed a sigh of relief as she realized her outburst had been ignored. Stretching her lips in a true grin of graciousness, she beamed at the young man and tried to keep the pride from her voice. Alara knew exactly where he would need to go, and more importantly, she would gladly show him. What had been a random meeting had suddenly become a tight friendship to her, taking him under her wing so to speak. "I will gladly show you, Takeda-san," she said. "After the meal of course, or are you not very hungry? You haven't touched a drop of your stew, and I seem to have lost my spoon..." Alara frowned as she realized she had tossed it somewhere in her rugoodoo. Suddenly, her attentions were shifted from the young Japanese man to the forgotton instrument. Where had she thrown it? How far? She ruled out the possibility of it flying out the window when she saw someone had shut it recently, and that only left her surrounding area. "Hmm..." ((OOC: Sorry for the shortness, but Vintrict, if you're going to get back in the swing of things, here's you chance.)) |

((I hope I'm not interrupting your little chat. I'll make this meeting short)) Vintrict stood beside her, smiling as he held his tray of food. "Hello," He says. "So, you're the jumpy lady that was in the line. You are quite cheery when you place your sihts on food. Yes, I think their food is lovely, too." He places a fork forward. "I believe you had almsot dropped this on your way to the table. Fortunately, I caught it in time before it hit the floor, so it still has it's pureness." He laughs, knowing pureness wasn't a word. |

Laughing, Takeda stood up to help her find it as well. But it seemed that another person found it for them. But he remained standing to greet this newcomer. "Hello sir. I thank you for catching her fork. And I introduce myself as well. My name is Takeda. And this vision, is Alara." ((Sorry its so short. I have a lot of posts to work on.)) |

Alara smiled up at the young man that had found her errant utensil. Well, this place may be strange, but at least the men were gentlemen. Taking back the fork, she barely caught her companion's words.
Her hand paused halfway to the fork as a crimson blush lit up her face. What did he just say? Alara's face was burning as she tried to sort out her thoughts, but it was too late. She was overwhelmed with her embarrassment, dropping the utensil again in her surprise. "Takeda-san!" she said quickly. "Thank you, but please!" Light of Mercy! Why does he say such nice things to someone he doesn't even know? Well, he knows me, but...Oh, pooh! Silly girl! Focus! You still haven't thanked this nice gentleman. Turning to the young man, she forced down a measure of the blush, but her embarrassment was still evident from her quieter voice. "Thank you, sir. You are very kind..." Would he ignore Takeda's words and relieve her of this crushing embarrassment. No, she would know he was overlooking it for the fact that she was blushing so, eliminating the gesture in her eyes, but still, she wasn't entirely sure she didn't like Takeda saying that. Oh, how Alara wished for some mercy from her emotions! |

He waves. "I am honored to have assisted you. I guess I will leave you two doves on your way. ^^" He chuckles a little as he walks away over to a table not far from them and sits down. |

A wire shot out of his finger and caught the fork just before hitting the ground. He smiled as the wire dropped it in his hand. "You really have to stop doing that Alara, I don't know how many times we can save your forks." He reached out to her hand with his own, opened it, and placed the fork within. "Now try not to drop it." He said with a grin. Watching as the boy left, he was kind of disapointed. What did he do to make him go away? Not thinking too much about it, he shrugged and smiled at Alara. "So Alara. We can leave once you finish the rest of your meal. If you still want it that is." She had seemed to dislike the grool that the school had fed them with, so he had no idea if she wished to finish it. |

Alara was still stunned as she watched the other young man leave, and it continued as Takeda handed her the utensil a second time. When had she dropped it? Far too often was the answer as the young man gave her a cautious warning about retrieving it every time. Ugh! She was so embarrassed! He seemed to be doing that a lot to her. Her face was still crimson as she heard his next words.
"Hmm? No," she answered distractedly. Frowning down at the hardly-touched stew, she shook her head to confirm that. "No, I'm finished...You don't seem to have tasted yours, either..." A smile broke across her face. Well, the food was a little strange for a newcomer. Alara, herself, had been loath to try it in spite of her Half-Whin hunger, but in the end, she decided it had to be better than the food American high schoolers ate from all the rumors she had heard. Gathering her plate and Takeda's, she placed the fork directly in the center of the tray to keep it from falling again and marched over to the window for the dishwashers, setting it neatly on the metal counter. Well, there was one mission done. Now, to get a new skirt and show Takeda where the Suzaku house was. Silly method of sorting they had around here. It was almost British...Oh well. Musings were for later. "Ready!" |
