Nanami strolled around the courtyard looking around. Gold brown eyes looking from here to there, almost searching. She stopped in front of a bench and sat down as she placed her chin in her hands. There was nothing, nothing she could rememberd about this place. One of the scientists told her she had went to this school but there ws nothing that she could remember. There was a chip in her head that had her past memories in but she wasn't able to open it.

"MAybe it takes time to remeber, I can wait." She sighed heavely as she looked around at the people passing by. Maybe people could help her remember.

Shoobie was walking around the courtyard, jumping now and then to catch some bugs that were flying by. Looking more dumb than anything else, the orange-haired kid just stopped and decided to only jump around, having fun. He really was childish and playful, but that was good, he never was depressed, always happy, always full of energy. Then, he spotted somebody alone on a bench and he jumped up to her, landing right on the back of the bench, as if he was a bird or some sort of weird stalker.

''Hey there!!'' he said, laughing a little. ''How's it going ma'am??'' he asked with a cheerful tone. Today he was happy. Why? No reasons, as usual. Maybe his bottomless bottle of joy was still full or his heart was pumping joy all around his body, who knows. He really was a phenomen.

Michael had been walking around cluelessly in a rather ripped apart moment he couldn't help it he just was so depressed. The loss of the one he loved was replaced by someone, but the old love was there still, from what his thoughts were he couldn't lose the love orignally so that must mean the new love was all just a ploy. He sighed as he turned the corner and he saw something that caught him offguard. "Na...na...mi???" He said wide eyed before falling back in disbelief hitting his head against the ground and then standing up again seeing her again he shouted at the top of his lungs some words and then started to dash over to her, on his way over there mayn things were flowing through his mind, where had she gone, what had happened, was she ok. He tripped on his own feet and landed with a umph and slid several feet until he was at her feet and the other boys. His entire right cheek had scar marks on it. "Ouch."

Harker walked at a leisurely pace across the courtyard, seeing if there was something more entertaining to do than sit in his room playing solitaire. As card-obsessed as the short redhead was, even he had limits. He spotted Shoobie, and decided to go over. Shoobie was hyper almost to an insane level, but he could probablly think of something to do. As he approached, he saw that someone else -- a girl, it looked like -- was sitting on the bench that Shoobie seemed to be using as a perch. It was amazing, Harker reflected, how Shoobie seemed to generate a field of constant motion even when he was standing still, like some sort of humanoid electron.
"Hi Shoobie," he said as he got closer. "What're you... um..."
He trailed off as he saw the other boy at the end of a furrow of dirt, ending at the bench. He almost said something like "Are you all right", but that seemed rather pointless in this situation. Much like someone prodding at a broken limb and asking if it hurt.
Instead, he trotted around the bench and squatted beside the fallen student, and rather unceremoniously poked him in the head, closing his eyes and concentrating. He felt his consciousness open slightly, and began mentally scanning the fallen student. After a few moments, he opened his eyes.
"It's not a serious wound," he said, to the gathered students in general. "But it wouldn't hurt to wash it out, I think."

Nanami hadn't expected to be surrounded by three guys. There was one behind her, another at her feet and one beside the fallen boy. It seemed one knew her, that was good, right? She did her best and smiled at the young boy behind her who seemed just to be full of energy. Quite short for his age though, but who was she to speak?

"Hello, it's nice to meet you. I'm doing quite alright...." She spoek with a smile before she looked down at the boy on the ground. He seemed familiar but other than that, she had no clue who he was. People here were very odd indeed. Hearing the other boy's comment on how he was, she sighed a bit in relief. "That's good to hear. That looked like a pretty nasty fall...."

She smiled and looked at the student that was on the ground.

"Do I know you? You seem to know my name." She spoke with a curious tone of voice.

Michael blinked at the other students comments... "Sorry yeah ill wash it up later." HE turned his attention back to nanami almost tearful eyed. He lept up and hugged her tightly planting a kiss on her cheek. "Nanami..." He heard her say what she said and started to shrink back. "Wait... Don't you remeber me? Michael? Please dont joke around." He said knowing she wasent trying to restrain his sadness, he just took it all in. Had she completely forgotten him? It hurt to think of such a thing, but it could have happened he hadn't seen her for awhile.

Gold brown eyes widened a fract as the strange guy hugged her. Did all people welcome one another like that. How did he know her name? He had yet to answer her question! The way he acted, they must have been close. Or so she observed from his behavior.

"I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean. I really don't know who you are. This is but my first day here." Nanami said truthfully as she held her hands up and shook her head lightly. Well, she found one piece of the puzzle. So, there had to be more people here that knew her.

Michel was near uncontroable sadness, "You really dont remeber, Michael, Your one and only..." He couldn't bring himself to relize that she had completely forgotten about him... He brought hiself to a calmmer composure before holding out his hand trying his hardest to resisit crying, but his voice broke up as he forced the words he never wanted to say. "Hello, I'm Michael." He said them with such sadness that he turned aorund not to face her but his hand was still held out to her.

Nanami smiled and shook the young man's hand. He seemed sad for some reason but she didn't know why. Had she done something wrong? She skimmed over the past few seconds over the recent events and found nothing. The robotic girl hadn't said anything bad or anything.

"It's nice to meet you Michael." She said with a smile.

Harker stood and backed up a little bit as the girl and boy spoke. He shuffled uncomfortabley, getting the sense that he was intruding on something rather private. It was clear that the boy at least thought he knew this girl, and also clear that she had no idea who he was. Either that, or the boy was delusional. Harker somehow doubted that, though. The other student seemed too lucid, too genuinely sad for it to be the result of a hallucination.
He backed quietly to the other side of the bench, wondering if he should leave. And the question of his departure also raised the question of whether he should find some way of taking Shoobie with him. He hadn't spoken with the boy much, but enough to know how hyper he was. In this situation, it seemed like extreme hyperness might be something of a "bad thing".

Michael just took hold of her soft hand again and remebered what it was on the inside. "Robotics, easily wiped." He said aloud on accident before looking back at her, with remorse in his eyes taking his hand slowly away from her wanting to feel all the softness in her skin. "Im sorry, it's just I forgot how easily your memory banks could be wiped. I should know." He said befor elooking down at the ground.

Harker coughed in what he hoped was a polite way, reminding the two that he was present. He felt a little bad, interrupting a moment that was so clearly personal, but he didn't have Shoobie's apparent talent for vanishing.
"Er, hi," he said rather lamely.

Nanami blinked a few times in confusion before responding ot his comment. Her hand coming back to rest in her lap.

"Some yes, most no. I have a chip in my head with my past memories but I can't access them," She said as she turned her eyes to look at the other student and smiled. How rude of her! The robotic girl stuck her hand out and smiled apologetically before speaking. "I'm sorry, please excuse my rude behavior. I'm Nanami."

She smiled at him hoping that he would forgive her.

Michael looked at the kid with a smile before staring at nanami some more, "Oh yes the blocks, the ones you wont let me through." He said before shaking his head side to side in sadness and pure helplessness he gazed back at the other student. "Hello I'm Michael." He said happily holding out his hand as well.

"I'm Harker," he said, shaking hands with the robotic girl and the boy, in succession.
"It wasn't rude, really," he said to the girl, sitting down. He was mostly relieved that the tension was gone, at least mostly. His mind, however, frantically leaped around for something to say to fill what promised, to him, to be an awkward silence.
"So, you've been here before?"

Nanami smiled and nodded her head up and down to his question. She had been here before, that most was true. One of the scientist had told her so and even showed her a few pictures of herself attending it. So, here she was but she wasn't able to remember a single thing about the place.

"Yes, I have but I can't remember. Though I have a chip in my head of my past memories but I can't access them." The robotic girl said with a small sigh as her shoulders slumped a bit.

Harker blinked as his brain processed the information. His eyes glanced between Nanami and Michael.
Ah...
"Wow," he said, not able to think of anything else. "I'm sorry..."
For what, he wasn't entirely sure. He felt that the world as a whole, somehow, owed these two an apology. He just happened to be closest.

Michael was hurt in ways no one could ever even try to comphrend, his heart ached with pain from nanami not remebering him, after everything they had been through he would have to do it all again. "Um for what might I ask?" In his heart he knew, but he just wanted to hear it from someone, maybe that would embed the truth into his mind.

Nanami blinked a few times as she looked at him with confusion clearly written on her face. Why was he sorry?

"There's no need for you to apologize, really. None of this is your fault Harker." Nanami quickly said as she stood up and bowed her head to him. "Please don't feel sorry. It's not as bad as it sounds anyway. Plus, there's a good side I guess. It keeps the bad memories away. Though It's kind of wierd, the last thing I can remember is being found on the floor. My systems were all battered up andbarely funcioning."

She laughed a bit as she straightened herself back up and rubbing the back of her head lightly.

"Um for what might I ask?"
"Er... I don't know, really," he said, searching for words. "It all seems so... randomly cruel."
He blinked back to reality, snapping out of his small reverie as Nanami stood and bowed her head at him.
"There's no need for you to apologize, really. None of this is your fault Harker. Please don't feel sorry. It's not as bad as it sounds anyway. Plus, there's a good side I guess. It keeps the bad memories away."
"I suppose," he said. "It just doesn't seem like it would be worth blocking all the good memories, too."
He looked at his feet for a moment, trying to think.
"I'm getting all philosophical," he said with a small laugh. "Sorry."

Michael looked at harker and smiled. "No your fine, phisophical is good. anyway." He said before looking at nanami and smiling. He looked at nanami as she said what she said about the floor and took a deep breath in. And then when she said nothing else he feel backwards almsot unconious, his heart had been prepared for her to rember but no.

Nanami blinked a few times and smiled at Harker.

"Philosophy is a good thing. There's nothign wrong with showing what you know," Nanami said truthfully as she looked over to Michael who was smiling at her. She was about to say something to him when he fell backwards. Her gold brown eyes widening as she quickly bent down looking over him. "Michael?! Hey, wake uo. Are you okay?"

She looked a bit frantic as she patted the side of his face, as a small jewel orb fell from out of the tunic of her shirt. It had been tucked beneath her shirt, the pink of the transparent orb glinting against the sun's light.

Michael blinked as she touched his face, it felt so comfortable, having her touch his face. But then something caught his attention as he saw the orb fall from her tunic. He knew what it was the memoery orb. "MEMORY PLAY!!!" HE shouted at the top of his lungs as the orb started to glow and a hologram appeared that was Michael waving at everyone. "I want you to have this to remeber me as your one and only and remeber everyone so that you can know you are loved." the hologram said and he smiled. Leaning his head back again against the ground. The hologram just stood there smiling.

Nanami jumped back as he shouted something at her and fell on her butt. Her eyes widening as she saw apicture come from the necklace around her neck. Frantic hands ttugging it of her next as the image began to play before her eyes in her hand. During the time it played, she couldn't remember a bit of it but she didhave that feeling again.

"When did this happen?" She asked looking at Michael with curious eyes as she watched him. Nanami really didn't know the necklace could do that.

Michael smiled at her. "I gave it to you at dragoon mountain about a month ago." He said hoping she would slightly rmeber, this was definently a giant step forward. And better yet he didn't have to confess to her again his love. He had a memory player to do it. "Please tell me you remeber?"

Harker stepped forward when Michael fell backwards, but Nanami beat him to it. He stepped back as the hologram, whatever it was, started playing. He blushed slightly as the feeling that he was intruding on something deeply personal returned, with reinforcements.
He shuffled slightly, trying to become deeply interested in the grain of the wood on the bench.

Nanami blinked a few times looking at Michael and slowly shook her head from lef to right.

"I'm sorry, I don't remember that," Nanami said as she looked down at her lap where the gem was tightly cluched in her hand. She shook her head lightly and sighed. Now she was really starting to feel bad. Her shoulders slumped a bit as she averted her gaze from him. "I hardly remeber ever being here."

She twisted the material of the skirt she wore.

"What's wrong, Harker?"
Harker blinked, looking up from the wood-grain on the bench.
Any number of things.
"Nothing," he said, pushing his sunglasses up his nose.

Nanami lifted her head up to look at Harker when she heard Michael as the student a question. She looked at him and tried to see if there was anything wrong with him, but nothing. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with, appearence wise anyway. Nanami got to her feet then as she looked at Harker and figured out what it was. Discomfort. Yes, that's what it was. Here they were talking about her and that small hologram didn't much help the situation.

"So, Harker...what do you like to do on days such as this? We are having such nice weather, don't you agree?" Nanami said with a smile as she looked at him with her hands neatly folded in front of her. That should do it, change of subject always did help. In her opinion at least.

"I usually just hang around the courtyard," Harker said, thankful for the change of subject. He felt like he should give Michael and Nanami time alone, but couldn't think of a way to gracefully excuse himself.
"I suppose the courtyard reminds me of home, I suppose. Especially when the whether's nice like this."

Michael smiled as Harker said what he did as he took a step forward standing towering over Nanami. He smiled.

“The weather is beautiful and this courtyard is really nice place.” He said with a smile.

He looked at Nanami as she looked at Harker, it brought happiness to him to know that she at least had met him again.

Nanami smiled at Harker as she listned to him. Hearing Michael's comment, she nodded her head in agrement. It was true, the weather was quite nice and there was no signs of grey clouds. Wiping a strand of hair out of her face, she smiled before she began to speak.

"I see. And where did you come from Harker?" Nanami asked with a smile as she looked at him.

"I came here from Britain a few weeks ago," Harker said. "I've spent most of that time trying to learn the campus."
He sat down on the bench again, trying to think of something else to say.
"What year are you in?"

”I’m still new here, so this is my first year.”

Michael had known what year Nanami was in, he was about to speak for her when he stopped himself, if she really could ever remember him it was better to let her rebuild her memory on her own. Maybe by rebuilding her memory she would once again remember him.
