A gloomy mist spread over the central square in Madrid, a dank air filling the air, creating a very negative, looming atmosphere: the very perfect setting for the horrible event to take place that morning. A large crowd was gathered around a stage in the center, a guillotine setting at its top. What a barbaric manner of execution, but apparently, the King wanted to make a public spectacle of all of this. He was truly a corrupt man somehow, something was corrupting his thoughts and his emotions. Either way, it truly was a sight: the cathedral looming over the scene, an aisle from its center door leading towards the podium in the center of the square. The cathedral doors slowly opened, and the crowd immediately hushed as the bells rang loudly, announcing that the event was about to begin. There, in the front, was a holy man, a man of a very advanced age, holding the holy book, advancing forward slowly in his ceremonial black robes. Behind him marched a group of nuns, one of them not quite a nun, and it was she who was leading up the rear with the man bound and gagged, his head dropped to the ground, thinking of all the loves he might be able to see when all this was over. Death wasn't anything new to him. He wasn't frightened, just solemn. Little did he know the "nun" behind him wasn't his foe at all, she was just in disguise. This would all unravel soon. Only the priest and the nun leading Nathan up the podium steps, where the executioner and King already waited, and all took their places. It was about to begin. |

Another was in position, though doing something he was quiet adept at while he was doing it - One teenaged male, cradling a set of weapons in his hands. In his hands was a plasma sniper rifle, and beside him a plasma gatling, while on his forearms were a three-barreled machinegun and a two-tube grenade launcher, outfitted with fragmentation grenades. You could not see his bodily features - he was sheathed in a suit of white armor, and was looking out of a pair of green crystalline eyepieces. None would know he was half-demon. And it would be hard to figure out that he was about to snipe off a whole bunch of the people ready for the execution. "This is Slayer. In position and ready." Eli Bladesong whispered into the comm circuit inbuilt into the helmet, linked to Amara. He had to be extremely quiet about the whole matter, and that he was, his voice coming across as a bare whisper. The headset Amara had was extremely small, and only a very tiny thing for her to wear - imperceptive people would miss it entirely. Come on you bastards...Hurry up so I can kill you... Eli raised the rifle, the only visible part the tip of barrel. None would know. |

Cyrus was taking up the front with his head lowered and trying hard not to shift to show his armor. He hid his hands from the public so that no one would see the gauntlets that are present. He could almost feel like this was a trap. Something just didn't feel right. But that was more than likely just him. He looked at the guillotine in the vicinity and maintained his steady gaze on the tool of death. He was definitely going to have to use the ring or the crest for this. Especially since he could use his hammer to crush that thing. Meanwhile, Viola took the lookout position with much disgust. She adjusted her cloak so that her face could be hidden. When Amara came in, she muttered the word bitch under her breath and then sat down. She had found an old tin cup and began to shake it to see if something would happen. If she was going to be a beggar, she might as well get some money for this loss of dignity. |

Violin was walking along in the crowd, towards the front of the crowd, considering his robes gave him a Noble appearence. He was allowed to be standing further up. Violin had his dragonstaff riding up his back. It was barely hidden, but hidden none the less. Violin looked around and saw all the Sages around, in costumes, taking their positions. Violins' was placed on the other side of the Stage of where Amara and the rest was coming up from. He had the backside. He had one of the best positions, next to Eli's and Amara's. He had no idea what importance this guy had, but he was following the rest of the group around. Mainly because he didn't want to be separated from his sister again. He found a good spot, looked up towards where Eli would be at, seeing a slight shine from his scope, and gave a nod towards Eli. He looked over Amara walking up the steps, and gave her a quick nod. He was ready...Just waiting for Amara's signal. |

Bother this. The ceremonial armor was not flexible enough nor all that effective for actual fighting, but it looked imposing enough. Plus he looked rather menacing, though he hated to say it. He stood straight and tall, and looked upon the crowd. Him and the others surounding the podium were to be crowd control, though he had no intention of causing any control. Truth be told if things got rough he was to cause chaos. I suppose there are worse things. All he had to do was wait for the single and then he would become a very chaotic being. Already he was controling it to begin, he could now though it took forever controling specfic areas to transform slowly. Right now he was taking care of the extranious stuff like the hair and the jaw. It was a form of resistance and it was very painful, but he didn't complain. There had been worse pains before. Death being the biggest one. Come on Amara. |

The bells continued to ring their deathly march as the parade began to encircle the podium, Nathan slowly stepping up the podium with Amara leading him up, staying there with him, as was custom for one nun and one priest to be on the podium at the execution. A chorus of boos erupted from the crowd as Nathan was lead to the terrible guillotine. Amara looked to the sky..so gloomy. The King wasn't even going to make a speech, he just grinned as Amara kneeled Nathan down into position, but secretly loosened his binds. "What is that for?" Nathan whispered. "You don't deserve this, I'm here to save you from all of this...we all are. Trust us," her warm voice spoke to him. Nathan's normal skepticism was suddenly wiped away by her warm voice...a voice all too familiar. That empath? And for some reason, he was happy to hear her voice. "I'm going to provide a distraction. While I'm doing it, go to that guard there," she nodded her head. "We'll need you to fight...he has your scythe that the King confiscated. This is going to be a long battle, we'll have to deal with the entire Spanish guard and much of the population is well armed...but we've got a lot of power on our side...do you trust me?" For some reason, Nathan was compelled to say "yes". Something inside of him felt weird. The thing that tried to distance himself from this woman before, was suddenly wanting to cling close to her...could it be? Nah. But then again, it very well could be. Well, he had no choice. And for some reason, though he was willing to accept dying, he didn't really want to. He did have something to live for...perhaps her. Perhaps she could make him feel again. He'd have to see. "READY THE GUILLOTINE!" As it happened, upon the King's words, Amara shed her nun disguise and soared into the air as the crowd gasped. She floated there, shouting in the loudest voice she could muster. "YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED! YOU HAVE BROUGHT UPON YOURSELVES THE WORST OF CURSES FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAINST AN INNOCENT MAN! NOW YOU SHALL PAY!" And to prove her point, and her signal, her bends...as she violently swayed her arms and the rumbling of water nearby could be heard as they saw the water from the waterfall fly over their heads, followed by a swirling tornado, a gigantic bursting flame, an earthquake, and to end with, the sky seemed to explode in a shower of brilliant light energy, as Amara soared herself to the ground, landing in a cleared center. The screams of terror were heard as citizens began arming themselves and the soldiers began assembling. When she landed, all she did was growl "Bring. It. On." |

"READY THE GUILLOTINE!" Oh, it's go time, you dirty bastards. You cocksuckers are gonna die if you try. Eli's fingers clenched around the handgrip, one finger hovering over the trigger. The sight was zoomed in on the head of the guard operating the guillotine. His plan was currently two-fold - hit the guards, and at the same time, destroy the guillotine. The guillotine would be...interestingly destroyed - It'd be burning, but the tricky bit was, it would be burning invisibly. You wouldn't know how or why it was burning. It would appear to be spontaneously combusting. Without seeing the fire. "YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED! YOU HAVE BROUGHT UPON YOURSELVES THE WORST OF CURSES FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAINST AN INNOCENT MAN! NOW YOU SHALL PAY!" And then Amara's signal exploded. Even though they hadn't discussed it beforehand, it was recognisable. If that's not a signal, I don't know what the fuck is. Eli's finger squeezed the trigger - the yellow bolt of plasma flying forth at the guard next to the guillotine, melting his face off with the insane heat level. At the same moment, Eli tapped into his bank of Psynergy, casting Flare on the guillotine, setting it on fire. His hands traversed the sniper rifle over like a turret on a tank, targeting the next guard ont he stage and once more pulling the trigger. Ten of them on the stage, and Eli was killing them all. Eight seconds passed before theu all died - Eli's eyesight and reflexes combined made this faster than even he expected. Eli stowed the sniper rifle on the left back hardpoint and took up the gatling cannon in his left hand and jumped out, onto the top of the bell tower. "Hey! Spanish shit-for-brains! Up on the fucking bell tower, you numbnuts!" -That- got their attention. Eli grinned under the helmet; the cloak was still covering the torso of his armour, as tattered as it was. He levelled the gatling gun, using the left hand - he could have done it one-handed, but he needed to hide his strength. "So, yo. I'm here to kick all your asses. Now, you guys have a choice. I've got my gatling gun here, three machineguns, and four high-grade fragmentation grenades. Now, you see, I have no qualms about murdering the lot of you. So I suggest you let the man go, now." He was answered with a whole wave of defiant stares. "No? Alright then." Eli levelled the gatling, in his left hand. "SAGES! DOWN!" he shouted, enough so they coudl all hear him, and then unleashed his barrage - two grenades and a swathe of plasma from the gatling. This would be fun - Eli unleashing his usual maniacal death. Welcome to Hell, fuckers. |

"NIRVANA STRIKE!!!" Cyrus wasted no time as he made both his edgemaster axe and golden axe appear. When he heard the signal, he immediately made his way through the soldiers. They began to attack the boy, but then they realized why he came into the vicinity with such zeal. As his cloak was removed, his silver armor shone through. He started to slash through the horde of soldiers like a bladed tornado, mixing in the colors of silver and gold as he moved through the crowd. He was careful not letting himself hit the civilians, but he had a little idea. "Amara! Use this!" He sweeped his way out of five soldiers and channeled the power of the weapon of Lore. "Use my light to tear through the soldiers!" He shot a beam of light energy out of his axe which was going straight for his best friend. But he knew better when he did that. He knew that she could bend his light for a powerful attack. Meanwhile, Viola bursted into the room with her wind power and laughed. "Now you bastards are going to..." she trailed off when she smelled smoke. It seemed the plasma rounds that Eli was using grazed the top of her head slightly. But that was enough to make the hood catch on fire. "GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She began to shout out a stream of curse words as she tried her best to remove her robe. Her hair was smoking as she looked at a few of the soldiers. "So much hate...must hurt!" The wind around her began to whip around her in a steady cyclone. She was definitely not in the mood right now to mess around. When Cyrus saw that Viola caught on fire, he turned to look at Eli and smiled. "TROGDOR!!!!!" |

Amara saw the light...a direct source of light energy. Normally, light bending needed to be done with interspersed positive energies...which could unleash powerful light bending attacks. But a direct source...Amara had never done this before. She bent the light energy around herself and Nathan and herself and screamed to her allies. "EVERYONE GET UNDER THE LIGHT DOME NOW!!!" she screamed the order, hoping she could be heard. This attack would quite possibly wipe out all the enemies in the area while not harming anything natural around, and she didn't want to take any chances. She knew the battle was far from over, because the Spanish King would stop at nothing. He had already run, probably to get reinforcements. But at least this would wipe out the rest of the troops they were facing. Everyone was under the light dome. All it would take now was the bend. As Amara concentrated on doing it, the light suddenly exploded outward...light arrows flying around, piercing every soldier in sight, blinding light flashing around the entire square, a fantastical sight as every foe fell. But the battle was far from over...and especially not the war. |

Her "signal" was quite apparent. All of the powers, and the clearing of the land, soon followed by Eli shooting people, and Cyrus, along with his sister, Violia attacking, made it even more obvious. As Violin through off his Cloak, showing his Dragonstaff, now being held in his hand, that was grabbed in the process of taking off the cloak. As he cut the nearest Soldier in half, he quickly heard Amara scream, "EVERYONE GET UNDER THE LIGHT DOME NOW!!!" Violin did the smart move, and ran for Amara's Light Dome. As soon as he stepped in, beams of light shot out in every direction, killing all of the soldiers that were there. As the beams faded away, Violin stepped out, and saw that the area was completely desolate of any beings, other than the Sages. "Well, where to now?" |

"Light dome? Fuck that." Eli was more confident in his own defensive abilities. Combining the effects of youki, reiki and his hatred energy, Eli created a three-layered shield, each layer intermingling with each other and creating a black and red dome with white lightning crackling over it. The light arrows did almost nothing to it - sure, it was a shield, but it would hold - it measured in at over 300% of Eli's power. And anyone around with energy sensing knew that to be insanely powerful. And then, seeing as Amara had killed everyone around, he needed to vent the energy off. "Human scumbags...Pathetic." Eli wasn't done. He still felt the need to destroy - that one primal urge to kill, his one true primal urge that he listened to. He was a demon, after all - he had to listen to it. "NOW DIE!" Eli screamed in a rather throaty voice. Anyone who knew Eli would know that this would be the voice of his demon half. His fists raised up, still standing upon the church roof, and charged with youki, reiki and hatred energy, then smashed down - decimating a portion of the church roof, sending cascading waves of energy around the rooftom, bringing it down easily, the bell hitting the floor of the building with a loud clang. "GRAAAAAAH!" More screams from the hanyou. This time, he shot rings fo the energy from his body, smashing into the Church walls, and jut generally bringing the place down around him. And considering the roof was already decimated, he was in no danger. When the church had fallen, he screamed once again, and lat tendrils of energy seep from his body - and fired all the hatred energy he could into the air, letting it fly upwards. He knew it would reach space - he'd done it before. Now panting for air after exhausing that much energy, he stopped...and just stood within the rubble. |

Cyrus quickly grabbed Viola by the shirt collar and dragged her to the light dome. She had been cursing at Eli and shaking her fist at him. That was when Cyrus smacked her upside against her head once more. He watched as the arrows of light cleared the opposition, until he saw Eli look like he was going into a battle frenzy. He watched as the rubble began to come down and aimed at the barrier Amara made. He didn't know if the shield would be able to hold out with all of the debris and energy filling the area, and he wasn't going to take the risk. He supplemented Amara's light bending skill with the power of the golden axe. |

The battle frenzy lasted a few moments, with church bricks flying everywhere, the loud claning of the bell, debris bouncing from the light barrier that Amara and Cyrus struggled to keep up over the group of huddled Sages under the barrier. Meanwhile, Nathan was a bit bewildered. What the hell was going on? All this was a bit much. Again, he was being flung into something he didn't quite understand. But such was life as he was beginning to understand it...maybe he should just accept the fact that life was so utterly random. But his life had been saved, and this girl had saved his life even though she didn't have to...and right then and there, when no one else was looking, he snuck a very quick kiss to try to show her how appreciative he was...and what he very well might be beginning to feel for her. Amara smiled and felt her heart rise a little, and noticed that the debris storm had halted. No one was around anymore, only a few unarmed, scared civilians were now entering the square, nervously. Good. They weren't foe...but Amara and Nathan hoped, as Amara lowered the light barrier, that Eli's frenzy for blood was over. |

Violin looked up at Eli, who was now floating mid-air. "Hey, you IDIOT! YOU DONE BLOWING THINGS UP YET!" Violin yelled toward Eli. Violin wanted to keep on going. He had no reason to stay around with this group now, other than Violia. After all, To him, in his mind, Eli and Amara were dating, meaning that he struck out of luck with Amara. So he needed to get out of here, and start hitting on some other women. "WELL, IF YOU ARE, THEN WHY NOT GET DOWN HERE, AND LETS MOVE FORWARD SHALL WE?" Violin screamed once again towards Eli. He looked back at Amara, hoping that perhaps she knew what we were going to do now. They saved the guy, so it was time to leave wasn't it? |

Amara looked at Eli, tears in her eyes, almost ready to scream, but she restrained herself. "You...destroyed...destroyed...destroyed...you can't be...the Fire Sage...you...what...YOU!!!" with that, she screamed, and bent herself into the air, to face him. "How could you do that to that structure? What did it do to you? It was innocent! Now..." she held the power of fire in one hand, and the power of light in the other. "...explain why. Explain why!" |

"It's simplicity, really." If Amara wanted to play with shiny things, he could too. A tricoloured sphere hovered above his head, created out of nothing, and cloning itself as they did to form an octagon of energy spheres hovering around Eli, crackling with three types of energy at once. Not only that, but the gatling slid easily into Eli's ahnd, pointed at the girl. "See, I'm made to destroy. People here wanted to try and fight me. And a good strategist knows that striking at the heart of the enemy is where to go - and this, clearly, is it. So, veritably, I destroyed the heart." He could destroy her in millseconds. He could have burned her to death - and he readied his Psynergy incase. There was another way he could destroy her, too - an infintely faster way. He readied -that- one as well. I'm not the Fire Sage? Shows how much you know...Fire is the essence of destruction...and that is what I am. The Gods have shown me so... |

The air began to blow around them very violently...the cast of the beating of their hearts. Suddenly, Amara felt something within her...something powerful. It was something she'd never felt this strongly before...her elemental self, the part of her that gave her the power of bending. It was her elemental self. It was the Sage's solemn duty to save, not destroy, by power...and with that thought, not even knowing what was going on, Amara's body was transformed. It was her elemental half...transforming her. She had taken her elemental form. No longer physical, she traveled through the air as the air, purely the air. It was an incredible feeling. She soared to her allies gently, trying to get them to understand as she set herself next to Nathan. She couldn't speak literally, but Nathan could somehow sense her presence. That time by the waterfall had somehow caused a connection...he felt her, and saw that man...that demon, and not only realized the danger they were in, so he quickly lead everyone to a place where everyone could hide. A place where fire could not find. |

Eli was creating chaos, and Greg thought he was a changed person. That was one of the sweetest and most hard things for Greg to deal with. His own naivity for everyone that is. Eli had to be stopped now, and while there was no chance in hell he could stop him in this blood rage he needed to get as many people out of their as possible. Moments (or was it seconds ago) he had transformed from man to ogre. Not that anyone noticed, because as usual Eli had decided to become the center of attention. If Greg had any wit whatsoever he probably would have been able to come up with several concepts involving him and a parent, but he could not and would not nor had not the skill. Besides this was not really the time. He needed to block Eli's fire or bind him and he needed it to be strong. Trees would be the only thing to do though he hated knowing they were almost definatly going to be destroyed, but as long as he stopped him long enough to keep him in control he would do it. Concentrating, this would be the biggest plant growth he had ever done in his life. Trees sprouted from the cement. They had been buried long ago when the city was new. Now they were free. They grew strong and tall and wide and thick. It was a wall made to protect. The light arrows hit the trees not him, but the trees were not tall enough just yet to protect the others. Now they flew up with the nessesity of protecting life and the importance of balance in the elements. It was inbetween the sages and Eli and the forest protected them. The attack of Eli's would simply destroy the trees and send timber aflying everywhere. In the chaos they would be able to regroup somehow. Eli was a great danger, and he needed to be stopped. "Run!" The forest exploded milliseconds after. |

Cyrus complied with Greg and practically slammed the mask onto his face. He might not have been as fast as some of the people here, but his mask gave him certain skills. He picked up his scythe when the forest exploded around them. Meanwhile, as much as Viola hated this, she used the power to bend the air around her so that she could be able to pick up the pace. She made her lower body into a mini cyclone as they made their way away from the demon. Cyrus looked up at Amara and prayed for her safety though. He never wanted to see a friend die, and she was one of the only friends he had in the school. |

Violin watched as Amara charged off, in a wind form, towards Eli, planning on stopping him. No matter how strong Amara was, Violin thought that she couldn't take him herself. After being dropped off, Violin caused a bend below his feet, and started heading off after Amara. Once he reached the Town square once again, Violin took a slight hiding spot. He hoped that he could stop Eli incase he came after him. He looked for Amara, which he soon spotted, and focused a bend behind her, to help her head towards Eli, help her out alittle bit, anything could help. He knew that his bends couldn't stop Eli himself, so why not help out the cause, that was what Violin thought. There was something else he thought too....He was thinking, since Amara and Eli are about to square off....Amara would be single now, and Violin can move back onto her after Eli is out of the picture, so to speak. Violin smiled some, as he forced the Bend to be stronger. |

Amara smiled, noting that she was being supported by the air-bender. Finally, he was learning what team work was about. She had a plan. It would involve every ounce of her strength as a bender, but if they could execute it perfectly, they could get away quickly enough. She concentrated as hard as she could. Using the stream of air Violin was giving her, it would make the Six Seals Bend a lot easier to execute. As she concentrated, a well of each element appeared and surrounded Eli quickly, surrounding him and entrapping him within all six elements. While it would only entrap him temporarily, Amara knew it would give them time to escape as it could not be disrupted easily. She rushed her form to where the group was, the sphere still holding strong around Eli. "Let's get out of here. NOW." |
