Ricor smiled as he walked into the courtyard his trench coat flowing in the wind he sighed softly as the cold air around him hit his body. After taking a shower after meeting with Zlex, he had arrived in his trench coat jeans and blue shirt. Both swords hung from his belt as he sat down against a bench looking around waiting for Zlex to arrive. ”Oh Zlex, you brought such happiness to me that I don’t know what to do without you… Welcome back.” He said to himself as he looked at the fountain, which was running with hot water that released steam as it rested in the pool. The cool autumn air caused everything to have a slight chill around it, beautiful was the word to describe it. |

Behind Ricor, soft padded footsteps were evident. It was almost like the meeting in the springs....he was there first and she came tumbling after. In fact, she had been there longer than Ricor would've expected. It didn't take long for Zlex to get ready for the second meeting since her arrival. She seemed to be examining everything. Zlex allowed her long white hair to roll in the wind untamed by any means of restraint. Afterall, it did help keep her warm. Her dressing was simple; a white cloth jacket over a thin long sleeved shirt with jeans. She needed little to keep her warmer than thus since her blood was naturally warmer than most races. She hummed a tune under her breath...a happy tune that she had once heard when she was with Madame. "Ricor," She called afterward. She had seen him with his billowing trench coat. Not that she didn't like it, because she loved it. She thought it looked great with him. She had stopped to wait for him to notice her. But why had he asked her to meet him here?... |

Ricor turned his head around to look at Zlex and he was immediately shocked at how beautiful she was. He smiled and turned around completely to face her and disappeared when he reappeared he was right next to her, smiling he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his lips to hers. ”You look beautiful Zlex.” His trench coat was still fluttering in the wind creating a very nice rhythmic sound to his voice, seeming almost foreign to anyone but him. He just smiled as he held her to him slightly still perturbed about his accident at the springs but did his best to push the thoughts away. |

Zlex gave off a gentle smile. She glanced around her surroundings a bit. Lovely fountain. Perhaps that was due to her profound liking of water. She narrowed her eyes a little as he held her. "What? Are you still thinking about what happened at the hot springs? You dirty dirty man." She tsked with a slight shake of head. "Oh well. Why'd you pick to come here Ricor?" Zlex couldn't help but ask. Everything had a reason, right? In that case, there had to be a reason that Ricor asked her to come along. Then again, perhaps it was due to the ungodly hour that they were to end up here.... |

Ricor blinked softly, there really hadn’t been a reason for coming to the courtyard specifically other than it was a beautiful place. He put his hands on her shoulders and smiled. He hugged her tightly. ”Zlex there was no special reason to bring you here I’m sorry to say. At least I don’t think there is one.” Perhaps there was a subconscious reason but he didn’t know it at the current time. But that is yet to be seen. Perhaps someday there will be a reason for what he did but until then he would just have to live that way. ((ooc:last post for you today nothing perosnall)) |

That was what Zlex thought was strange about Ricor; he was always apologizing for something. He hadn't done anything wrong to deserve citing an apology. Was that the way people were supposed to act? She didn't let this thought ponder any longer in her mind. Instead, she ignored it completely as she pulled away from Ricor. "There's a reason for everything, even if you don't know it right now." She assured him. It was just like her to assure people of things she knew little of. Then again, it helped her in many a situation. Every downfall had its reason and so did every high. She tossed her arms around his neck to retain that space between them that she had created. Like she said before, she didn't want to be farther apart than she had to be from Ricor. To Ricor, she loved him... |

Ricor smiled as he felt something irritate his pocket, he blinked several times and then pulled away slightly enough to reach his hand down into his trench coat, he hadn’t worn this particular coat since he last had seen Zlex. What had been left in the pocket was beyond him, threw his arms around Zlex’s back holding the contents in his hand so that she couldn’t see them just incase. Ricor’s eyes grew very large when he saw what was in his hand. He immediately tried to throw it as far away as possible but in the position he was in it didn’t go that far. Rather it just stopped under a bench and then to make sure Zlex didn’t go try and investigate he hugged her tightly and kissed her. Ricor forgot completely that he was going to propose to Irene and the ring was in there how could he have not removed it, and why did he have the luck to have it in front of Zlex. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to propose to her but it was just to quick, even though they had known each other for quite some time. |

Zlex, that curiousity that was built into her, tried to push Ricor away for a bit. What exactly had he just done? Something...he threw something. That much she knew. And because Zlex was the person that she was, she just had to know what this object could be. "Wait, what did you..." She trailed off as she tried to turn and examine her surroundings. It had to be somewhere near there. But....not knowing what it was to begin with added to the difficulty in her finding it. She didn't know what on Earth she was even looking for. Perhaps just anything that looked out of place. "What was that?" She asked Ricor finally. She hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary, yet she wasn't stupid enough to believe that he threw a stick or a rock. It had to be something else. But, why would Ricor throw it away from him? She was hoping that he'd explain it to her. Or perhaps he was just playing around and all of this curiousity was in vain... "What did you just throw?" She asked more directly. She turned her head to look once more. Still, she found nothing out of the ordinary. Perhaps he threw something small and that was why she couldn't spot it. Or perhaps it was really big and he was able to throw it behind something. Regardless of its size, she was ready for any type of explanation... |

Ricor turned to look at her and sighed softly. He didn’t want her to find it but if he even moved with his maximum speed she would be able to tell he had moved. He just shook his head from side to side; there was no reason to dodge the facts now. ”Nothing you want to see I promise.” He said softly as he pulled out his sword slightly from its hilt looking at the object and then he sighed as he knelt down slightly to her, he sighed before darting to item and pulling out the sword to slash it but right as he was about to hit it the sword stopped and stuck into the ground and he shook his head as he went flying into the bushes. ”Darn it Yusuke…” ”I wont let you destroy it Ricor.” The voice had come from his sword which was glowing pink and sitting right in front of the box. |

It was evident that Zlex found all of this quite amusing. Ricor was acting quite strange all to protect her from a little....box? She shook her head with a slight laugh whispering itself from her lips. But what was most amusing to her was the sword...What had he called it? She couldn't really recall, yet she knew that it was very interesting. "Destroy what?" She heard herself ask. She walked closer to the box but stopped as she glanced at the sword. Although she knew Ricor for a good while, she had no knowledge of this...this sword that now glowed pink. Did it have a mind of its own? That was most absurd wasn't it? Well, perhaps not...but still... Still, she wasn't going to go venturing inside of that box, even though curiousity was raping her mind. She couldn't bring herself to come across the sword in any way. She didn't really like the idea that the sword might just attack her. And then there was Ricor who didn't think that she should see what was inside. But...it was just a box...a box too small for anything of importance to hide inside. What could be inside? The only thing that seemed to stop her from reaching out to it was that pink glowing sword that had a voice of its own... |

Ricor stood up out of the bushes a very blood filled look in his eyes he held out his hand. And looked at the sword as it started to vibrate in the ground as he nodded to Zlex and sighed softly. The following words sounded like a vibration from the earth itself. ”YUSUKE!!!” The sword flew out of the ground and shot to ricors arm which he grabbed it and looked softly at Zlex perhaps she didn’t know what the box and ring signified which meant she could see them. ”Go ahead Zlex look inside.” Ricor prayed that she didn’t know what it meant cause if she did it might be perceive incorrectly. |

This was quite confusing, indeed. First, Ricor was very skeptical to the idea of Zlex finding out about the box and its contents...and then he was fully promoting it. Not sure of what exactly she should make of this transition, Zlex paused and merely glanced at the box. Her intentions, mind you, was to ignore the whole thing and feign being aloof from the situation. Yet, her inquisitive disposition hindered her from actually putting her idea in action. Thus, she slowly, yet surely, made her way closer and closer to that box. It seemed to conceal a deep secret of which only she was able to uncover. The box was in her hands now. She was dilatory in her efforts to open the lid. Was she scared? No, it wasn't that. She was more solicitous if anything. The now opened box gaped at her menacingly with an air of loathing suddenly surrounding her. The ring, obviously, didn't like the thought of being seen by someone who it wasn't entitled to. She quirked an eyebrow and swiftly turned her head toward Ricor. "What's this?" She asked, all of a sudden sounding dumbfounded. A ring....so what? Why would Ricor try to hide it from her? A ring served little purpose...It was only a human toy that people gave others to promote beauty. So why on Earth would he care to throw it from him? Weren't you supposed to give those kind of things away to others?... |

Ricor sighed in relieve but some odd feeling struck into his heart. What the heck was this feeling, he suddenly felt the need to do something that he until recently though impossible. Why was he feeling this way? He shook his head and fell to his knees in front of Zlex, putting his hands in hers grabbing the ring from her. It was sudden but not really, they had known each other for a long time just with a break in the middle. But she wouldn’t understand would she? It would only make her sad, but he was willing to take the chance that she would know. He held the ring out to her. ”Oh Zlex, I know this might sound confusing, and very sudden but… Would you marry me?” He looked up into her eyes with a smile and lowered his head idly in shame that he had asked such a question so quickly and immediately looked away looking down at his feet feeling like a idiot. |

The words meant nothing to Zlex as they wafted through the air. What was he talking about? Was this yet another thing that she failed to learn from Madame? The look on her face was an expression of apathy. "Oh, get up, Ricor. What on Earth are you doing on your knees like that?" She questioned looking down at him with pity; half because she had no idea what this was about, and half because he looked so ashamed of himself. By the way he was acting though, she had guessed that this was something important...but still, what purpose did the ring serve? She shook her head slightly as she kneeled down before he could get up. Hugging him, she scanned her mind for anything that she could remember the ring having an important part for. Nothing...nothing at all came to mind. "What are you doing?"... |

Ricor had begun crying when she didn’t know what he was talking about huddling to himself, but when she hugged him he hugged her back trying to stop himself from crying, his heart had begun aching with sadness that she didn’t even understand what marriage was, but he didn’t expect her to know then why was he so hurt. ”I love you so much I was prepared to marry you… But you don’t even understand what marriage is.” He cried softly to himself before looking up at Zlex and trying his best to keep his voice steady and stop or slow the crying. ”Do you?” |

He was crying again. She had made him cry yet again. Her cheeks flushed to a bright red color as she glanced him over. What had she done? Marriage...did it coincide with love? Marriage....marriage....no, she was sure it didn't ring a bell. Not a single bell. And now, with Ricor crying, she began to feel really bad about her limited knowledge yet again. The question was too much for her. What was she to do? She couldn't lie to him...no, she dared not lie to him. From what he said, Marriage was a good thing. Something that happens when two people were in love. Hmmm...no, still nothing. She paused, staring back into his eyes with a look of surprise and obviously off guard. He was serious about this. But she couldn't lie....not to him...But she couldn' t ask him to explain it too her either. That would be too much. "I....I love you....Ricor." And that was all she could say in response to him. She answered the only thing that she was sure he'd understand. She thought love came alone....but perhaps a whole bunch of other human emotions came with it... |

Ricor heard those words and was struck dumbfounded, such wonderful words coming from her mouth. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing, had she seriously just told him she loved him. Ricor turned to face her and hugged her tightly. ”That is all the matters… Besides Marriage is only a legal state, as long as we love each other then who cares.” Ricor smiled happily as he looked at Zlex before kissing her cheek and laying back looking up at the sky, it was so wonderful in his soul. Everything just felt perfect the way it was. |

Zlex let out a breath that she had been holding eversince the reply came out of her. So, she was saved by the only phrase she knew the least. And out of it all, she felt bad. Depressed because this was just as bad as lying. Did he know that she was still hazy on the true idea of love? Even if he didn't, she wasn't about to bring about this realization in him. Whatever it took to make him happy. Yet, Ricor had been so serious about marriage....and yet, once again, he acted so differently about it...As if it wasn't such a big deal afterall. She peered into his face as if trying to decipher if he was really over this marriage ordeal. Her gaze fell to the ground beneath her before she allowed it to slowly trail back up to his face. Her first words to her rescue was 'I love you'. The irony of this was so strong that she could feel a part within herself mocking her. How terrible this all was. She was living in this world with all the fallacies of the unknown. It was as if she hid behind this word that held so much power....love... Such a simple word, and yet, it was able to rearrange the atmosphere in a split second that the word was spoken. She felt so horrible...A few tears found their way down her cheeks the more she thought of it. She felt as if she'd betrayed him... |

Ricor saw her tears and let one of his own seep from his eyes as he slowly came to the realization of what was going on and why she was crying. He loved her and couldn’t feel good, as she was hurt. He sighed softly as he wrapped his arms around Zlex and let her head rest on his shoulder. ”Oh my god Zlex I love you… I’m so sorry I did this to you.” He sighed softly and kissed her forehead before letting go of her and standing up looking at a brick wall, all he was capable was pain to others if that’s the case. Ricor Charged head first into the brick wall stood up blood coming down his forehead, and backed away and then did it again. He fell backwards and his neck was in pain and his head bleeding. |

Another apology. This time she wasn't too clear about what he was apologizing for. She should have been the one apologizing to him. Her eyes followed him as he left her on the ground. Where exactly was he off to? Was he going to leave her? The first time he charged head first into the brick wall, Zlex jumped. She was stunned. Stunned of what he was doing. Stunned to the realization of a mixture of past and present. Blood...She was tired of seeing blood. She'd seen it yesterday and the other day and the day before that. Why didn't they just leave them alone....They hadn't done anything to provoke this madness. Blood smeared walls and bars....blood smeared concrete...Blood everywhere. The second time sent Zlex screaming and racing toward him. Blood and all the things that it reminded her of couldn't stop her. She brought herself down to her knees next to him and couldn't hold in the heavy sobs that were already building up from before. "Why are you doing this to me?!" She screeched at him through wicked tears, "Why can't you just....just..." And she was in a loss of words. Just what? She couldn't say anymore. All she could do was sit there bawling... |

Ricor couldn’t speak properly any words that came out of his throat were half eaten and filled with sobs. Tears ran down his face as he looked at her his sight red as the blood itched its way down his head. ”Zlex I am horrible, I am the worse person you will ever meet it is better I die than you cry.” Ricor coughed up a little blood real quick he gasped trying to sustain the blood in his body so that Zlex wouldn’t have to see it. He reached for his sword as he was able to barely grab it by the hilt he held it above his stomach the blade poking his shirt he tried to thrust down but only succeeded in ripping his clothes and not piercing the skin. |

"STOP IT!" She screamed as she grabbed the sword and threw it away from him. "You can't do this to me! You just can't!" She shook her head vigorously. Out of all the things he could've ever pulled off, this was the worst. "I'm horrible. I'm a terrible monster if this is what I've reduced you to." Blood. The only substance that could be seen from those solid walls of foreshadowed death...no longer having a life to live...a life that was your own. "I should deserve to die, not you! I don't understand! Tell me why you're doing this!" She demanded this from him. If she were to demand anything in her life it would be this. Oh, this tormented her so gravely. All of this was too much. No amount of tears could possibly wash away this 'sin' that she had commited. Driving someone to their death. She wouldn't allow it. "Aren't you happy that I love you?!" She tried desperately for a positive response. "Can't you be happy that I love you?! What do you want from me?!" All the while she weeped and weeped. What was Zlex to do for her beloved Ricor... |

Ricor looked at her with years in his eyes he heard the words they hit him with such force that his whole body seemed to vibrate in pain. He had caused her even more pain with his own pain, such was the way his life was to be led. He loved her so much but caused her so much pain. ”Zlex, you feel like you betray me because you don’t truly understand love and yet you say you love me… I love you more than life itself Zlex, I love you.” Ricor closed his eyes trying to reconnect to his soul from this injured and weak state just wanting Zlex to know everything about the world and him. And understand Human emotions, he didn’t want her to feel betrayal. That was the worst of all emotions. He moved his hand to wipe away her tears. |

Her gaze fell downward to the ground beneath her. Alas, she was exposed. He had brought to surface the one thing she wished wouldn't have. Is that why he was doing this? So, indeed, all of this was her fault. Stupid her and her limited knowledge. Why couldn't she be like everyone else? She felt helpless now in this moment of half embarrassment and half heartbrokeness. "If...you love me....then you'd stop this." She countered with a tone of earnest thoughtfulness. "If you love me...more than life itself...then you'd stop doing this....and you'd never do it again." Anything, anything at all, to make him stop...She'd do anything. This was too much. "I do love you!" She protested finally. She didn't want him to know that she still had her doubts of what it truly was. The more she thought of it, the madder she became. She lover him....right? "I do understand! I mean it Ricor! I love you!" And thus, broke into sobs again despite his notion to wipe away her tears. |

Ricor propped himself enough to put his face next to hers. He still knew she was slightly unsure but the fact that he was there with her made him happy. And she was so determined that she loved him maybe she did and that was why she was so determined. ”Yes Zlex I love you so much, but I don’t know if I can stop. Without this happening you will always be in pain.” Ricor sighed softly as he weakly coughed some more blood this time hitting her cheek with it he wiped it with his finger before falling back coughing softly. He was so worthless. |

Madness. All of his words were pure madness now. Didn't he realized that all of this was killing her second by second? She didn't know what else she could do...she was stuck between two worlds and neither sufficed her needs. Ricor, with everything he's given her, was now taking away everything she had. She wasn't going to let him get away with that. Not that easy, anyway. "If this has to happen to protect me...then I want you to hurt me and not do it anymore. I'd rather be hurt for all eternity with you untouched than to have you bleeding to death just so that I won't. If you have to do this....then I'll do it too." This was said in such a serious tone that it even scared her. She hadn't expected the words to pour out of her like that....but it was all too true. She grabbed his sword from that safe distance in which she threw it in. She glanced from the sword to Ricor. "I'd die for you and with you." She proclaimed with a weird sense of pride within herself. She didn't care about herself. She cared about Ricor. Death for Ricor wasn't that bad at all. She placed the tip of the sword underneath her rib cage prepared to thrust it into herself at any given moment. Her weeping had stopped and only a single tear made a course down her cheeks... |

Ricor looked at the sword with bloodshot eyes. He couldn’t believe that this was happening to him, had he really driven her to such lengths as to take her own life. He put his hand to the sword and pulled it weakly away from Zlex using all his energy to weakly stand up limping against the sword. He bent down to kneel before Zlex almost collapsing into her as he tried to give her a hug. He held her head to his shoulder away from the blood on his face. Staring into her eyes he smiled. ”Zlex please don’t hurt yourself on my account. I will stop if it makes you happy.” |

Oh good. He was going to stop. He told her so and she believed he would. Yet, she needed something more than this. What was it again that the humans did to insure that something was never done? She searched her thoughts for the answer. Ah, now she remembered. They made promises. An easy pact that would make sure he wouldn't do this to himself anymore. "Do you promise? Promise that you won't do this anymore?" Zlex wasn't too big on the fact that she nearly drove him to his death and she didn't want to start getting used to it now. "If I can't hurt myself on your account then you can't hurt yourself on my account." And this was more a command than reasoning. She felt horrible when something like this happened. It was almost as if Ricor was trying to get away from her. Her imperfections made a fool of her and she knew that more than anything. She had to admit that she felt much relieved when he took the sword from her. Still, she would've ended herself there if she had to no matter how much she wanted to live. If it was for Ricor, it was a good enough reason. Besides, he might be able to travel to the afterlife to retrieve her...and who knows, maybe Irene too... |

Ricor sighed softly as he smiled softly weakly pulling head back he looked at her in the eyes. ”I promise Zlex. I wont, if you wont.” Ricor couldn’t help but feel like a shit what had he done to her that caused her to feel like this, he hated himself more than anything right now but if it made Zlex feel better he promised not to and planned to hold to that promise. ”I love you so much Zlex ill do anything for you.” |

The promise, although simple enough, made Zlex feel so much better. For the first time, words seemed to speak louder in this instant than any other instant. "Thank you. I appreciate it very much." She claimed with a weak smile forming on her lips. He had told he that he would do anything for her. That's how much he loved her. This made her feel very comfortable and secure with a weird sensation inside. She could've been brought to tears again if it weren't for the extreme cloud of tiredness engulfing her now. All of this was very tiring. Still, she kept her eyes open and her mind aware of what was going on. "And I'd do anything for you too." She meant it. Didn't she prove that with the willingness of death probing her? Yes, she'd do anything for him. Anything at all. "But...I must ask...Why do you love me so much?" It was a question that she pondered upon lightly before. It was only now that her curiousity had pushed out these words to be answered. It was an inevitable question....one that would have sooner or later risen to the occasion... |

Ricor looked at her, that was a good question a hard one to answer but one that needed to be answered for her. ”Because Zlex when I lost you and Irene I was thrown into hate, my family died. You were always my best friend, without friends I have no reason to live, well I guess I love you because you are my friend I care for you more than anyone else, love is such a simple emotion, my heart tells me so and thus I believe.” Ricor smiled as he kissed her cheek keeping the blood away from touching her skin but it was still in his mouth. He smiled at her and laid back down in pain, he couldn’t keep sitting up. ((last post for awhile)) |

Love...A simple emotion? Well, at least to him it was. It seemed that Zlex had missed a lot since she had been gone and parted from Ricor. His family had died. That was just horrible. Strangely, the more he mentioned how much she meant to him, the more she actually started to believe him. It wasn't like she didn't trust him...it was just...it felt weird to be so important to anyone. She didn't know what to say, finally at a loss of words. "I'm sorry about your family. It seems as if everything went wrong after I left. I'm sorry that I had to leave you." Her family was probably dead by now also. Besides, she hadn't heard news of anyone else in her family surviving except for her brother. She didn't feel to horrible by the fact that her family was dead either...but that only applied to her. She had no reason to feel any pain for her loss. Ricor, however, was different. In fact, every other race was different. They had love and family...the real kind of family where conversations are carried and everyone could be themselves. A family that didn't hate love. Yes, it is because of this that it was terrible for him and not for her. She understood this. "I do believe that you need some help, Ricor...You're bleeding badly."... |

Ricor shurrged and shook his head, he would be fine with time nothing to serious but he didn’t want her to worry for him, after all he had done this to himself it wasn’t her fault that he was rather ignorant. He put his hand up to her cheek and smiled rubbing it with his thumb. ”Don’t worry I am perfectly fine and extremely able.” Ricor laughed softly so that he wouldn’t cough and looked into her eyes, the same beautiful eyes that he had seen for the first time in a long while. The same Beautiful person, the same wonderful human being. "Any pain I feel is from your beauty striking me down." |

Perfectly fine. Although that was a bit much for her to admit herself, she didn't think it was necessary. She believed that everyone knew their own limits; barging into this was not exactly her idea of being helpful. It wasn't this that had struck her, though...it was the second comment that he made that really hit her. Her cheeks slightly flushed and she could feel the heat within her cheeks. Blushing...blushing embarassed her. Yet she didn't feel so much ashamed of herself. "From...my beauty striking you down? Surely you exaggerate to great extents." She murmured as her gaze fell to the ground once more. "You're so....wonderful Ricor." She mimicked with a slight smile impressed against her lips. "You're more beautiful than I could be." Her meaning of beauty was inside and out. Her beauty, what ever of it that she had, was outward and meant nothing. His beauty was within himself and outside. He was truly beautiful, not her. She wasn't that good. Good things deserved beauty. Only good things... |
