It took a while. Many months...nine months and sixteen days to be exact. But here she was, having ridden many transition flights from Hong Kong to be here. Here in Domino, right outside of Eeth's door. She had a few bags with her. One was a handbag carrying her usuals: wallet with cards, money, and identification, keys, phone, etc..Another was her clothing and the last was...well...weapons. Don't ask how. Everything pretty much looked the same from outside. The trees hadn't grown much taller, and the house looked new as ever. She felt hesitant though. It was violating someone's personal space. This was no longer hers, was it? She felt so strange being...well, what feeling did it give her? There was a comforting feeling...a feeling of welcome. Yet it seemed as though she hadn't really felt home there. Afterall, the woman hadn't stayed in the house for more than a few days and it had been almost a year now. How did she look? She looked at herself in the glass of the door. (The inside door was open.) Her eyes were covered with black shades that tucked over her ears. Long bangs flew away and toward her face. Her hair was still as long as ever, and her skin was slightly more tan than before. She wore casual jeans and a tank top with a hooded jacket over it. No makeup, as usual, and casual shoes finished her attire. She was older, but still maintained the later teen look. With the bags at her feet, she tucked strands of her black hair and reached for the handle of the glass door. But, she was surprised to see an orange cat there. The dark sunglasses slid to the end of her nose. Her hand immediately came away from the handle as she looked down at the creature, the glass between them. It gazed up at her with its large eyes. Vain swallowed, finding it hard to even look at the cute animal. Could she simply step back into the life of someone that she had abandoned? Would it be right? Could she possibly be able to accept them, let alone have them accept her in return? It's one thing to say something and mean it too. "K-k-k..." she stuttered, her eyes never pulling away from the cat, who continued to flicker its ears and look up at her. He began to paw at the door. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. It must've been a good twenty seconds before she managed to whisper. "....Kyou..." She was sorely tempted to ask the kitty if Eethy was home, a thought that came to her mind and almost flew out of her mouth before she could even think about it. Vain stood there in silence, just watching the cat and standing with her bags. It would be wrong to enter his house without his permission. |

He was home. Something the little kitty wasnt overly happy about. Eeth gave the orange cat attention sure, fed him and kept him warm but in the end it just wasnt as much as he wanted. Worse yet was Kyou wasnt able to sleep on the bed and be warm at the same time! Poor neglected Kyou had to choose between sleeping on the couch with the human slave of the house (Eeth) or the empty cold bed. That was until last month when Eeth had bought a dog to keep him company. It was a German shepard dog, still a pup really that was currently snuggled tight to Eeth's chest, as the man slept on the couch as he always did. There wasnt much reason for him to get up these days as house work was starting to become overly tedious. The outside of the house was perfectly groomed, the trees done symetrically. The lawn short and thick. Even the house had a fresh coat of paint on it. These were all things just to keep Eeth busy and sane. Inside the house it was overly bleached. Overly cleaned and scrubbed except around the couch where he slept. The covers were never tucked in, dirty clothes littered the ground. The food was all tucked away only brought out for simple meals that Eeth made simply so he wouldnt starve. Besides the couch and cleaning he was mostly outside in the garden. The area where Vain had remet Lavieon was where he sat much of the time. Reading, practicing, training when he felt like it and mostly resting beneath the shade of an oak he had planted himself. The leaves had started to change color in some of the trees in the garden, the circle of colors ever entertaining and Kyou going for them every chance he got...well when rodents and bugs no longer tickled his fancy. His phone lay on the trash bin, a thousand shattered peices. It was done because of the calls, the never ending calls when he wished to be alone. Nine months. Nine months of grieving and self pity. It hadnt gone over too well with Eeth's body or mind. He forced it to new extremes not because he felt he was weak but because he thought the only way he could ever sleep again is if he came back exhausted. Too tired to lift his arms. It was true. That was the only way he could sleep anymore. Thats how he was on this day. His legs were still sore and the cuts right over his kidneys were far from pretty but properly bandaged and were healing. He breathed steadily, comfortably until the dog's head rose up. It was awakened quickly its upright ears listening to the sound of someone at the door. It still had guard dog instincts though such actions were never taken with it anymore...that and a proper guard dog wouldnt have let anyone on the property. However when Kyou mewed at the woman on the other side of the glass happy to see her once again the dog jumped up off the sleeping man and bounded toward the door barking. The jump had pushed Eeth off the bed and he hit the ground with a thump. He was awake now at least and rising. Grumbling he pulled a shirt over his torso and pulled off the blanket tossing it back onto the couch. He saw his dog barking at the door and Kyou off to the side cleaning himself. The animals got along nicely, Kyou being dominant and not caring about dogs...besides them being sloppy, warm and subserviant to other's will they were loud. The first three things cancled out the noise when the kitty learned how to strong arm the pup into giving him food. The dog didnt much care about Kyou, it was just another dog to it...a mean small dog. Eeth was moving towards the door putting his hand on his dog's head between the ears to pat it and make it feel better. He called its name and told it to hush, the dog of course complied happily its tongue drooping out of its mouth as it trotted away proud of its job. The black haired man hoped it was really Vain behind the door but part of him doubted it. He doubted she would ever come back, it was a nasty feeling yes but beneath everything that fear would always be there. The questions flooded his mind, the most important being why. A couple of strange thoughts later and Eeth was convinced she was here to kill him, that the moment he opened the door he would be met with a shotgun to the face and die. Well there was no avoiding that. If anyone wanted a peice of him now was the time. The door opened slowly, Eeth didnt let his eyes waver from the girl his hand finding the handle on its own and opening it quickly though not entirely. He had a reason for that as he turned his back on her. "I said you would always be welcome so, come on in...but hurry up and close the door so Kyou doesnt get out." Keeping Kyou inside wasnt to be mean or punish him. The orange boy had been getting too friendly with one of the neighborhood cats, if Eeth wasnt careful or didnt get Kyou fixed there would be alot more little orange kittens. Not something that needed to happen at the moment. "Its...its nice to see you again." |

((I'm so sorry it's short!)) Vain knew inside that she wasn't completely shocked to see Eeth. Of course, this was his home! He was bound to be in it, but something about seeing him at the door gave her a strange awkward sensation. As if she didn't belong here and that what he said was merely for show. She nodded, offering a small, but true smile as she picked up her bags in silence and entered the home. Immediately the orange kitty slinked over, rubbing himself up against her ankles. The Chinese woman had to admit it was a feeling she had missed, and never realized she had taken for granted. Vain smiled, kneeling down and petting Kyou lovingly, scratching behind the ears and under his chin. "Hey there...long time no see. My goodness you've gotten bigger! You miss me at all, kitty? Hmm...I suppose it must've been too long..." That's how she felt--a stranger to everything. In her mind everything was jumbled. She didn't understand how she felt or what she knew. But it was no longer because of her memories. This time, Vain knew it was because she had to start at the beginning and learn. She looked up at Eeth, smiling. Would the two of them be able to rekindle what they had? "It's nice to see you again too." Vain stood up, then realizing that she was rather close to him. Perhaps he wanted more space. Regardless, a deep fiery sensation burned in the very bottom of her stomach. She felt her face go slightly scarlet. Afterall, they hadn't been together in a long while, not the two of them alone. In her heart she wanted to find the strength and way to patch what they had left, but she didn't know if it was possible. "Um..." Vain muttered, trying to fill her awkward silence. With her bags set down, she began to move around the home, touching the furniture here and there and stepping over anything strewn on the ground. "It's...really beautiful what you've done with the house. Especially outside. It's gorgeous." She looked back at him as she spoke, nodding to emphasize her geniunty. Maybe the first step was just simply talking again. Putting things in the past and starting fresh. Vain tucked a stray strand of dark hair behind her ear. "Did you do it all yourself?" Her eyes caught random objects around the room, her fascination endless. But in reality, Vain was only concentrating on Eeth. The addition of the German Shephard was something that the woman would have to get used to. But...Vain didn't doubt for a moment that things wouldn't set themselves right. Somehow she knew...felt that Eeth and she would be able to right the jumbles of their relationship. |

"Its just a hobby." Eeth wasnt trying to be cold. He didnt want to be cold or mean anymore. Those kinds of things were best left for people who had things to lose and risk. He no longer had any words for this, no longer had any will to argue or fight with himself especially over something they both wanted but seemed always poised to destroy. Kyou was bounding about in the usual kitty fashion, loving the possibility of the woman who had always given him the most attention cuddling him at night again. Kyou was selfish sure...but at least he was honest about being selfish. "You can put the bags in your room. If you are going to stay more then a night here then you might want to get comfy in there. The couch is good for me." He thought for a moment about turning around and carrying the bags into their old room. He hadnt slept there a night since she left. He doubted he ever could stay there again. The pup was sitting in the kitchen when Eeth walked into it his head digging into the fridge to see if there was anything else that might be edible. This wasnt the relationship he once dreamed of. All those old childish fantasies were out the door now. Eeth would never admit he grew up, he wished he didnt. Perhaps this is what old stories like Peter Pan were all about...tired old men whose dreams were crushed and wanted to relive their hayday. The sandwhich items were pulled out onto the counter with graceful arms. The pup sat down like it was trained and was rewarded with a small hunk of chicken meat. Something that Kyou watered at. "You showed up before I got breakfast, you want anything while this stuff is out?" Wheat bread, mayo, chicken and some lettice. A simple quick meal for Eeth. A red nearly opaque glass was put on the counter to be filled with lemonade from the fridge. There was nothing strange or new about this. He had always kept the kitchen orderly, at least for him. There was an awkward silence in this house. A silence that Eeth couldnt get rid of. He had filled it with noise of work, of pain, of tears and of life but nothing...nothing got rid of the silence. Kyou didnt like being alone with the man, sure Lavieon dropped by and made sure he was taken care of. Keeping him warm at night once in a while. The boy never stopped by anymore. Eeth knew they were both doing fine however, a nice letter or email once in a while. Sometimes he would call his son and get a groggy exhausted boy's voice on the other line. There was alot of space in this family now adays...but they were all alive and doing well enough, thats what was important to Eeth. There were paintings on the walls, cheap knock offs of famous warped personas of dead european masters. A couple of black and white photos, three of which Eeth took...those were of nature, perfect waterfalls and deep cliffs. The children were portrayed in the classic black and white on the walls their faces staring through the smallest hallway. They had cursed his life it seemed, made him feel empty inside...rotting and quiet. The sandwhich tasted hard in between his teeth. It wasnt really, the lettice was crisp and the rest of it soft. How hard was it to concentrate on eating when the woman you thought was the love of your life...left you...decided that they brother was obviously more important then you, then showed up at your front door. Yes he had said she would always be welcome but never did he think she would actually accept his offer. She had seemed so at home in Hong Kong, like it was her real place...where her peg fitted with the world. Eeth still didnt know his place. He was so far a bad boyfriend, an overbearing fiance, an idiot ex, a neglectful father, and a killer. There was one thing that was still going to bother him. One tough thing that was going to tear open his brain just thinking about what could be done. "Why did you decide to come back now?" Sure he was proud to have her back, glad she even thought about returning to his life. But part of him was nervous...afraid that something more horrible then what had happened before was going to tear them apart. |

Vain was slightly relieved as he walked away, pulling away the tension that had also been in the air with him as he went for the kitchen. She sighed, nodding to his instructions and quickly walked down the hallway past the bedrooms. But immediately she paused, looking into a white room with curtains blowing ever so slightly from the open balcony doors. The sheets on the bed were clean and pressed, as if no one had slept in them for ages, or even touched them. The pillows were fluffed and kept neatly at the head of the queen sized bed. The woman opened her mouth to speak, but closed it again, her eyes grazing everything...from the oak dresser to the vanity and closet...Before she realized what she was doing, she had stepped into the room, leaving slightly imprints in the carpet as she did so. The bags dropped lightly to her feet. Vain ran her hands over the wood of the bed and immediately memories flashed painfully through her. She flinched, pulling away and holding her hand to her chest as if it had been burnt. Even as she stared at the white sheets and the perfectly made bed, all Vain could see was herself...the monster she had led Aiden make her, and the wreck she had become. Red...all over her hands and sheets. Vain stared, her breathing shallow as she flicked her eyes from the bed to her hands and back. She trembled slightly before steadying herself. Of couse she knew what room this was. She had dreamed about it evernight...but it seemed as though....well, did she have the right to stay here instead? Eeth had the right to do anything he wanted. She supposed she would have the ask him. Vain tucked her hair behind her ear, only hearing him moving in the kitchen. His voice further broke the trance she had been in. "Um...no thank you. I ate on the plane ride here...disgusting, I know. But it was enough..." her voice called in return, surprisingly loud enough. Although it was true that the plane food was disgusting, it also was that Vain had not been eating as much lately--most likely from stress. She waited a while, nodding and keeping her bags there. The woman would wait until he was ready. Taking another once-over with her green eyes, she walked back out into the hallway and went to gaze at the pictures of the walls. She stopped at one in particular....a painting of hers. It had been a scenery...a dirt road with oranges, reds, and yellows for the fall season. Trees lined the road and leaves were strewn on the ground. They framed the road where the sticks gathered and the wind blew. Exactly the time she had dreamed of seeing and feeling. Autumn always gave her the most homely feeling. Apple cidar and pumpkins. But Vain's attention was pulled away again, and this time, for good. "Why did you decide to come back now?" She walked to where he was standing so that she could face him properly, something she had always neglected doing when talking about important things with him. This was the time to lay everything straightforward and get it all said and done. She took a deep breath. Courage. "Eeth, I don't know whether you want me in your life or not. I know that everything I've done to you cannot be changed. I wish...so hard....that I could take away what I've done to hurt you, but all I can do now is ask for us to rebuild what we can now." Vain placed her hands on the counter, continuing before he could interrupt. She wanted to say everything and make sure he heard clearly. It was because of misunderstandings that they were torn apart, wasn't it? "I want to be with you, because I know now that that's the way things are supposed to be...that I can trust you with everything. That if I hurt you you can bounce back. I was selfish...because I wanted you to myself...all the time, forever. I didn't want to share you with the world, even though I knew you were helping people by doing your duty. I was young and ignorant. But I'm here now because I want to be by you, beside you, next to you, with you. I want to know who you are again. I want to know what this relationship means to you...and if it turns out that you don't want it, then I'll do what I can to make you happy, because I've wronged you too many times in the past." Vain couldn't meet his eyes, and instead, looked down at the counter. Her eyes focussed on the grain of the wood and anywhere but his person. She couldn't tell if he would be angry with her. If he wanted her out, she could leave right away. "Of course I know that things will never be the same...but I'm not asking for that. I just hope that we can make something new and better between us, and that will be enough for me." |

The sandwhich was bitter. Painful and Eeth wanted to vomit it out the moment he put it in his mouth. He knew it was going to be horrible yet he ate it anyways. He did this because it was better then eating his words, better then going back and ignoring his heart. This was awkward, painful and rather disturbing. It was worse that he didnt know what to do. Thats right Eeth had to think about this. He had to wonder if everything could be worked out, if Vain really was done vanishing, fighting and leaving him. The future was always going to be a mystery, that was a simple fact even Eeth had to accept eventually. He ate in silence, the meal taking very little time. He was thinking, listening to her words and over all worrying. Worrying didnt do him any good anymore. Such things were too useless in the end. He moved to talk to her his head held high and his eyes as warm as they could now adays. His stance wasnt the best, he looked rather slumped when thinking. It was the silence that was the worst, the silence that tore open the air and ceased to let life into the world. "You've hurt me alot before Vain, I am not going to lie and tell you that you havent. I dont know if we can rebuild...I really dont." There was a pause in his speech as the man looked across at Vain a smile somehow creeping across his lips. "But I would never have told you that you could come by if I didnt want us to try." "You can want all you want, you can wish and you can pray. I hope it all goes well, I hope we can get back together and stay that way. Things are odd between us...alot has happened and I dont know if I can trust you, and I know you cant trust me." Eeth avoided looking at her as he moved towards the main counter with the phone after seeing the little red light blinking on the machine. He gave Vain a polite glance telling her to hold on, anyone that left Eeth a message was important enough to hear. Hello Mr. Hellsing this is Dr. Harris from Domino General. We have very good news, the operation and the observation period all went well. Social services still wants to visit but the paper work is cleared and you can pick up the child and bring it home at about 5 PM tonight. Should give you enough time to prepare right? Well give us a call if you need more information and we hope to see you here soon. This needed some explination obviously, a little fault that Eeth couldnt just ignore. He couldnt go back on a duty no matter how small it was. For Vain or for anyone else, he couldnt let himself down. "Oh right, I've been working hard and ran into a little problem." It was hard to remember that time, Eeth referred to it as hell week. It was a week he spent working, killing and fighting not even getting a chance to rest while protecting people. "About a month or two back I was working alot, you know the job I have...it wasnt pretty. There was a Baba Yaga near the old campus, a nasty old witch who ate kids. Well after I took care of her I found one of her victims still alive. I guess it was more of a victim of her victims. Poor child...a newborn with no one." "I went to the orphanages thinking it wasnt my problem, they are surprisingly full. I couldnt just let the child do so...well...I adopted it." He paused again looking at Vain, if she wanted to get back with him she had to know he was a father now. "I adopted the poor kid, that was the hospital, little thing had in growing wings and they had to remove them. Seems its fine and ready to come home. This might seem a little much for you after all...you just tried to get back in my life." Was this selfish? He was asking Vain to stop her life to come back to his. He wasnt trying to be happy anymore, it seems pleasing people was his life. Eeth was no longer Eeth Hellsing himself just a...well just a nameless man trying to keep people happy. His life was shattered earlier and now when he was trying to tape the peices together someone came in with glue. |

Vain said nothing as Eeth spoke. She knew that she couldn't expect his trust right away. Of course...how could she ask for anyting from him anymore? Had things really gone too astray that they couldn't figure things out and be together in the end? She contemplated, nodding with barely the faintest hint of acknowledgement as he pressed the button on the answering machine. It was his house, he could do as he liked. Vain's immediate feeling could be described none other than a complete dropping of her inside. Pick up the child? She tried not to look flustered as she thought things through. What had happened? What child? Operation? What operation? Had she been foolish enough to think that Eeth had not moved on. Of course he could've. Vain's impression was that of dread, shock, and instantaneous sorrow. "Oh right, I've been working hard and ran into a little problem." But the only thing Vain could possible fathom was, 'What kind of little problem? A relationship? Because that's not little...' However, as Eeth continued Vain managed to let go of the tension in the air that had strung her. She realized that it was just another aspect of a mission gone a little haywire. The child was something to be concerned about, but nothing as big as what she would have had to deal with if it had been....well...she tried not to think about it. "...This might seem a little much for you after all...you just tried to get back in my life." Vain swallowed, trying to soak the information in. She cleared her throat before speaking. "Well...I think it would be a little much for you if anything. I am the one forcing myself back into your life. If you'd like me to leave I can. I mean, I know you'll be awefully busy with the child and everything. I really should've asked you beforehand. I'm sorry." She turned around and stepped out of the kitchen, shaking her head and walking into the livingroom where the only thing she could stare at were the photographs. Her hand over her heart and one at her hip, her arm having wrapped across her waist in the front, Vain took a deep breath. What was happening to her? How come all of a sudden things were coming together and pulling apart at the same time? 'What do you want?' she quietly asked herself, thinking carefully about a response before answering. 'I want more time with him.' 'But you realize that you'll end up the same as you were before: wanting all of his attention when you know he can't give it all to you. He has a lot of more important things to deal with.' 'I understand...I guess if he doesn't have time, then he doesn't. I shouldn't force myself on him. In fact, maybe I should just leave now. He'll be swamped with things...and...well nothing will ever get said or done if he's busy. I'll just kinda be here...in the way.' 'Do you really think so? I mean, he did invite you back. He hasn't shunned you out or tried to imply that he's gonna kick you out. He even offered you a room...' 'No. Everything's different. So different now. I don't think he'll have time to sort things out with me. Not right now...' 'But if you don't sort things out now, then they'll never get sorted out and you'll end up alone.' Vain ceased the conversation with herself there, not realizing that her breathing had quickened and a slow and steady pain had begun inside of her--a heartache, one might say. Without realizing it, the dark-haired woman clutched the material of her shirt there, the other arm holding her middle tightly and her green-eyed gaze glassed over as it stared at the floor. |

There was a hand on her shoulder now. It wasnt made to be rough but it was sturdy and obvious that the hand wasnt about to just let her go. Eeth wasnt going to let her just walk out of his life again. She had done it too many times. He loved her, he was hurt by her time and time again and he was sick of it. So sick of it he wasnt going to let her do it anymore. Not letting her do it meant either he could let her stroll out forgotten and lose his love and doom himself to be alone or he could stop her from going. He was going to stop her from going another step to the door. "No, I took the child in because it had no one else. You might have your brother but that life isnt good enough for you." The logical reasons didnt mean much to people like them. They were illogical love driven maniacs who just couldnt seem to make everything go their way. It was about damn time someone put their foot down and made all that bullshit get thrown out the window. Eeth's foot was as good as any so he spoke clearly his voice strong and truthful. He wouldnt lie to Vain, he couldnt anymore. "I love you, I am tired of you walking out that door. You love me or you wouldnt have come back. How about for a moment we stop with this cold air and start telling the truth. I want you back in my life, I never wanted you to leave. If I was busy I am sorry for all that, I wish I could have many lives, spend one apologizing to you and spend another with you and let all the other things go on." It was strange for Eeth to talk this way again, for him to try and make pretty words come out his mouth that never actually sounded right. It sounded more like someone dropped a bunch of poetry from tweleve different authors in a shredder then plucked out the peices and glued them together. Yeah if it wasnt Eeth he would have sounded like a giant idiot. "Vain please, you dont want to leave and no one wants you to go. Once you were willing to spend your life with me, and now you are trying to leave it again. Were you lieing before or are you lieing to yourself now? I'm thinking it is the later." Eeth worked as most people did, sadly his work involved odd hours, death, pain and of course the most popular of them all...being away for days on end when he had to. He would have to go into semi-retirement to take care of the kid or hire a nanny...neither he really wanted to do. But with Vain here too it gave him a better reason to leave his old life to only a little while. "I can stand here yammering about what happened and what hasnt but that wont change how I feel. Vain if I didnt want you here you wouldnt be here, if I hated or felt ill of you in any way you would know it because I would say it...to your face. The fact that I havent should be enough for anyone to know how I feel about you. Dont just leave unless you really want to give up on the relationship which I dont think either of us want to do." |

"I don't want to leave. I don't want to walk away from you, but if you're too busy to have me in your life, then I don't want to force myself on you! Eeth, I want you to be happy, and although you may love me just as much as I love you, you have more and new obligations you have to fulfill. For one, this child. You took the responsibility of taking care of it before I came back here, and I'm not about to sacrifice a love you can give to a new person in your life for something I broke myself," Vain stated, referring to their torn relationship. It was true that it had been her fault. It was because of her past, it was because of her personality and her family. It was because of her choices and her words. It was because of her thoughts and her actions. "I don't want to give up on us. I don't want to believe that we can never be. I want to know that from now on, we'll be able to figure things out, but I'm just not sure. We're so different now, so different than we were before. Before it was just us, teenagers, lovestruck and hopeless. We had crazy ideas in our heads and now..." She paused, shaking her head gently and closing her eyes, breathing deeply. Vain brought her head up, green eyes beginning to glass over with tears. "I don't know who you are." The woman turned, wiping the tears before they could streak and stain her cheeks, but continued to speak. "I want to know who you are. I want to start over again even though I know things won't be the same, but I want to respect your privacy, your space, your life. I want to share it with you. I want to be a part of your life, but if it's something we can't handle right now then there's nothing we can do about it. I don't want to pressure you. And I want to tell you the truth about everything now. We can right the things we've done wrong in the past. Maybe we can even be around each other more than we were before. But it still remains that the fact of the matter is: we need time that neither of us can seem to manage to obtain." Tucking black bangs behind her ears, Vain sniffed before looking up at Eeth. But she coughed, shaking her head and loosening the hair as she bent over and took a hold of the couch. The coughs were harsh and painful sounding, a jolt of pain accompanying them through her. She had been feeling ill ever since the experimentation had ended and her body was adjusting to not having the injected substances that her body had become accustomed to not in her body. Now normal sicknesses that she had been immune to before were becoming foreign to her. Vain held herself steady on the couch, coughing for another ten seconds before they evened out and she drew in breaths enough to flush out the sensation. She took her hand away from her mouth and apologized. "I'm sorry..." She stood up, swallowing and smiling meekly. "I guess the weather's got me down. Have to adjust or something. I don't know what's wrong with me. I seem a lot more tired than usual. Maybe I'm getting old. Ha ha ha..." The outbreak of coughing was enough to lighten the mood at least a little, and it seemed that now that most of the things they had to say were out, they would be able to start saying good things. "When...do you want to go pick the child up?" Vain asked, feeling the words coming strange to her tongue. She blinked, thinking through things quickly. "If you'd like me to come...I will. But I'll understand if you'd like me to watch the house or something." She had accepted by now that Eeth wasn't going to kick her out, that they were on good terms, and that now all there was was the problem of having enough time to try and rebuild what they had before. They were both willing, they both were obviously still in love even through the trials they had endured individually. So what was next? |
