A large group surrounds a corner spot on the sidewalk, most people clapping along to the beat of the music that can be heard coming from somewhere in the center. In the center of the group there is a wide space where Chihiro is performing a dance while playing an upbeat tune on her reed pipe. She's trying hard not to smile since it would ruin the music and her dancing also follows the beat of the music and clapping. Many people drop coins into the large bowl set to one side of the large space that is obviously for tips. Apparently she was doing a good job since there was quite an amount of money in there. Chihiro finishes her song and grins broadly (quite proud of herself that she didn't smile during the performance itself), bowing to the audience, who clap and give praise while some throw more money into the bowl. The people begin to disperse and go back to their errands as Chihiro puts her reed pipe away and walks over to the bowl, kneeling down and picking up some coins in her hand. "I did a good job today didn't I? Well, I can't get an actual job, so I guess this is the next best thing." and with that she put the money into a pouch she had with her and put that in a pocket at her knee. It was pretty heavy; the sign of a good day's work. |
