Mirakel stepped to the lake's edge, the bright sun gleaming on his tan skin. In his clothing of no sleeves and shorts, he felt rather nice, though his companion would be a welcome addition.

Zlex Marski had retied her hair on the journey to the lake and now it rested high on her hair in a bun that was lazily put together. This was quite acceptable, though, because she was planning on ruining it anyway. It had been a few days since she last went swimming in the depths of the lake and she was very happy that she would be enjoying her hobby once again. Her happiness was evident in her violet eyes.

"I'm glad you came with me, Mirakel " She mentioned as she smiled at him, "I can't stand being alone when I'm swimming...it deduces the effects, I suppose." She examined the water in the lake just as she had when she was at the waterfall. Water was a beautiful thing on earth. It wasn't so lovely on her homeplanet. That was okay, though, she had her pros and cons about earth too. Nonetheless, she enjoyed swimming on both planets....

The sun shone off of her skin, and she looked radiant with the whole lazy look. He never much cared for the girls who tittered about their looks for hours on end with no break in conversation. He walked to the water's edge and began to streach his muscles, rotating his arms and pulling them beind his back.

"Glad to be here. Its not very fun swimming alone." He said. And he meant it too, for this was the first time in a while he was doing anything with anyone else. The warm breeze ruffled his hair with a friend's touch, his snowy hair glinting in the sunlight. He looked down his chest and breathed in deeply experimentally. He noticed that his skin was more tan than it had been... too much time in the sun probably.

The tepid water brushed his toes invitingly, and he shuddered. He looked to his friend and smiled. "Shall we?"

"Well, I don't see why not." Zlex exclaimed as she jumped into the water with a splash. There was something about water that was just so irresistable. Nothing in the world could have stopped her in her tracks now. Not even the horrid pictures of her sister that often plague her mind.

She resurfaced, her white hair matted to her face and shoulders. Laughing, she pulled her hair out of her view. Her violet eyes seem to glow more radiantly with the waterdroplets clinging to her eyelashes. She shivered lightly as if she were cold although in all actuality, no such temperment of her warmth had ever occurred.

"Have you ever been in water so light as this?" She questioned almost rhetorically. Another light laugh as she splashed around momentarily. She decided to float on her back with her eyes fixated to the sky where almost everything was light, fluffy, and good. Her silence only lasted for a few seconds in peace before she began speaking again.

"Oh what a wonder it would be if everyone had their little happy place that they could run to. I suppose everyone gets sick of life sometimes...perhaps a happy place would cure them. Perhaps that would be the cure to all of the violence and hatred on all of the planets..."

After seeing her gambol around within the shimmering waters, he knew that they would be fast friends in no time. He smiled as he dove under the water, coming up right next to her. The bright color of her eyes dazzled him, compared to his. His were the color of fresh snow in the light of a full moon, and he alway knew they were disconcerting at times.

He fell right into the same trend of thought as Zlex began to speak. With things so perfect at the time, how could one not? It was often he would think about things like this.

"...perhaps a happy place would cure them. Perhaps that would be the cure to all of the violence and hatred on all of the planets..."

"Well, if I had one... I would fill it with moonlight, warm areas and cold areas, a swimming pool... aaaaaaand... a squirrel." He smiled at the randomness of the last bit.

Zlex suddenly stood up in the water with a grin on her face. She couldn't help but to laugh. After recovering she hugged him tight.

"Strangely close to what my happy place would be like." She released him as she twirled around a bit in the water. "I like the moon. I like to talk to her. Sometimes I wonder if she's lonely. Silly me." She shook her head still with her smile on her face.

"I'd have a squirrel too. And rabbits, and dragons..." She paused and stopped twirling around. "They don't have dragons here, silly me." She tilted her head and made her way back to Mirakel. "They don't have dragons here." She repeated as if that was a very important part of her statement.

"But, if they did live here, I'd have one in my happy place. And then I'd have you there because you are a really good person." She smiled and nodded in agreement with herself. "A really good person. Not like a few others that I've met." She paused. A few others that she met...people who she didn't really like to be around. But for the meantime, they would be placed on the back burner where everything was nice and cool.

"But don't worry, you wouldn't be all alone in my happy place. You'd be there with two of my other friends too. They're good people. And we could all be happy there without a care in the world. And in my happy place, you could have your happy place. It'd be one big happy place filled with happy places." She laughed at herself. She had always been such a dreamer. Such a dreamer but not much of a maker...

Mirakel was suddenly struck by a set of new thoughts. He finally made friend, which was something to celebrate about. Secondly, he'd gotten his first hug. First hug ever. He really liked it, and he smiled.

"I wouldn't mind being in your happy place. But you'd have to promise to visit often. Sure, I'd be there with a few others, but you'd be the reason I'm there in the first place, right?"

A random memory resurfaced.

The moon was full, casting eerie light upon the ground around the facility. His mission was to recover an experiment that had escaped. Moral repurcussions were non-existant as he planned on capturing one like him; trapped, forced to do things like this...

The sand underfoot was warm and had little hills from the ever-present winds, his footsteps were light on the shifting silicon. The horizon stretched 360 degrees, a bright dome of moonlight and stars. Venus and mars were clearly visible near the moon's pale sphere. In his frame of mind, he had no time to ponder on the majesty of the night sky.

Or whether or not the moon was lonely.

He sharpened his senses as he encountered the foosteps of the target, still fresh as the winds had not blown that night. The easily recognizable three toe print was unlike anything else out here, so he knew that this was the target. He followed the reptilian tracks until they suddenly stopped. Studying his surroundings, he noticed the ground ahead was slightly rasied, and he knew the target had burrowed beneath the sands to keep warm during the night. Being diurnal, he would sleep during the night.

Only this time, he stirred and awoke.

Mirakel's steps must have become rhythmic and noticeable. Rasing his head from under the brown sands, shaking off the little piles on his head and blinking away sleep, he raised his bulk and stared Mirakel down. His huge opalescent eye with a singular black slit mezmerized him. It forced him to rethink what he had planned to do. The intelligence behind that gaze held an understanding that forced Mirakel to realize that this creature was alive and deserved a name.

To put a name on such a noble creature required a name that bespoke nobility. Only one name came to mind...

"But dragons are real. I've seen one before. I saved his life and freed his mate. I know where they live too." Mirakel smiled at the sudden surge of memories.

Zlex paused for a moment and examined Mirakel with interest. She slowly nodded her head as she looked around. Fairy tales existed on Earth and so did make-believe. Everything that existed on different planets were put into a category that included imaginations. No one would have believed in such things as fairies or nymphs....no one liked her views on dragons or pixies.

"Oh, I know dragons exist. They just don't exist here on earth. I know plenty of places that they live and I know many of their ancestors too. I grew up with them." She explained gesturing to the sky. "I rode on the back of mine. His name was Graunco. Amazing that such valiant creatures are named for the uses of society....He took me to the moon once..." She seemed to murmur a little as she continued. It was almost as if she were afraid to talk of such things here. Almost as if the words that came out of her mouth could easily send her to her death.

"But, they don't live here. Not on earth, I don't think. And even if they did, I don't think they'd like it very much." She glanced at Mirakel as if she begged for him to differ. If one thing existed on Earth that existed on her homeplanet, maybe she wouldn't miss it so much anymore...

Mirakel swam a little closer to his friend. She's been to a number of places then. The moon? Hm...

"Yes, they are here on earth. I don't know if they are like the ones that you are used to, but there are Earth's version of dragons. No... wait... they don't even look like the stereotypical dragon from legend. I think anyway. What do the ones you grew up with look like?"

He moved a little closer to her so that he could see himself reflected in her bright eyes.

"Well, I'm used to many types of dragons. I suppose dragons grow up to adapt themselves to the area they reside in." Zlex noted scratching her chin slightly. Her head tilted as she remembered her old life-long friend. The only one who saved her from her death couldn't save himself.

"For instance, my dragon had flipper like feet because there's lots of water on Hashinaru. Whether his wings were visable or not was up to him. He had big ears and big eyes. Although he could be scary at times, his face was smooth and soft. Yet his tail was rough and scaly." She smiled at the thought of him. One day, she'd be sure to return just to pay her respects.

It hadn't been long before everything around her became blurry. She was cold and faith wasn't much of a revival for that. The same barred room became commonplace. Chained to the wall like a ferocious animal yet without the appearance of one. Her violet eyes weren't much of the bright stars they used to be either. No, time had worn away the shimmer of her intricate eyes. All around her were the voices of people...trying to get out....trying to survive. She hated the sound of it. The sound of thousands of people screaming for salvation.

All hope had been lost the previous week when the executions began. Zlex's number was coming up pretty fast whether she cared for it or not. She had zoned herself out of the world she was in and now looked like a dirty doll without life and without form. Nothing surpassed the screaming. Only one night out of the millions was different. The sound of talking. She peered out of the little crack in the wall. "Graunco...." She murmured in disbelief...."

The memory appeared often and haunted her at night sometimes. The horrors of the camp and the greatness of her pet were the two most memorable times in her life.

"He was big...but he was rather smart for a dragon. Most dragons are smart and intelligent by nature....but something about the dragons on Hashinaru...." She nodded her head. "They seem to have more of a compassionate heart, I suppose. But like I said, that describes Graunco and many of his brothers and sisters. Dragons look different depending on where they live..."

Mirakel cocked his head and blinked. This was true. When he'd first laid eyes on the dragons, they seemed rather bland, but out in the world, they almost seemed to dissappear, for they blended in so well with their surroundings. Their anatomy changed, as well as their skin tone so as to suit their environment.

"When I first saw them, they were of a brownish color, with largs wings to glide on the thermals prevalent in the desert air. They were streamlined, with blue underbellies to blend against the sky. When sleeping, they would burrow under the sand, for their upper portions were brown, speckled with deeper earthy tones. I followed their route to the continent of Antarctica, and almost immediately, they became almost feline. Their skin grew translucent, crystal clear fur that would retain their heat. Their entire bodies were sheathed in an amazingly beautiful, powder white. I guess that they were designed to adapt to their environment almost instantly. They would never look the same in two places I suppose."

"I think that makes them more interesting than most creatures. That is, unless you consider aliens from other worlds creatures. Sometimes I wonder if they are affected by the people they live beside...perhaps society has more of a effect on them than we think they do." Zlex stated rather thoughtfully.

"I think it's rather funny how some books depict dragons on certain planets....like Mars or Venus. Sometimes, I can't help but to laugh at the illustrations or the descriptions that they give." She smiled as she recollected such memories. But then again, it was always people who were non-believers that made her second guess herself thousands of times...even Madame had caused her to question herself.

"Have you ever had a dragon as a friend, Mirakel?" She asked suddenly as she gazed at him with her vibrant violet eyes...

Mirakel pondered the things she said, floating on his back in the water. When she asked him if he'd ever had a dragon as a friend, he responded honestly.

"I never asked. I would assume so though. I saved their lives and relocated them to a place they could be happy and safe."

His driftings brought him to bump his head against her shoulder, though he felt so calm around her, he didn't swim away.

"It would be nice to know if we were. Just to say it wold be worth it."

He pressed his head deeper into the water so he could look at her. She looked adorable from upside-down. He smiled.

"You know... if you look at this place jsut right... things start to make sense."

Zlex tilted her head in a state of slight confusion. She did get the gist of what Mirakel was saying, however, she didn't quite understand where he was getting it from.

"They didn't make sense before?" She asked as a way of better understanding his viewpoints. She didn't disagree with what he said in any way at all. It just seemed rather interesting that he would put it that way. It was certainly a way she hadn't heard of before.

"I mean, when I first got here, everything was so different. I don't know. I guess I never thought that I could make much sense out of anything here. And the people..." She trailed off as she shook her head sarcastically. It wasn't like she knew what she was talking about anyway. People were just people afterall.

"At least there are people like you here." She smiled as she brought that new prospect into her thinking.

"But, what do you mean? What starts to make sense?" She asked sounding almost like a little toddler who had not been revealed to the world quite yet...

Mirakel remained on his back, staring out into the deep blue sky. "The world, even to me, someone who has been here their whole life, is still so confusing. I don't mean to say one should spend their whole life upside down. I mean it metaphorically. Sometimes..." He looked at her from upside-down again. He smiled and let a little laugh escape. "It takes a new and unorthodox view to understand things properly. Am I right?"

Zlex nodded her head to signify that she understood now what he was talking about. Her own little smile appeared and she tilted her head again.

"I believe that some confusion is needed." She added thoughtfully as she swirled her finger in the water. "Fitting all of the pieces together isn't one of the tasks we are supposed to do, in my opinion. I think we were meant to look at things differently and make sense out of them....but I don't believe that everything was meant to make sense." She had discovered this on the many journeys she had to take just to find her own shelter from the storm.

"If we understoood everything...knew everything...see everything, then it wouldn't be worth anything anymore. We wouldn't know how to appreciate such things as we do now in confusion. It might seem as if we are looking for a way to make more sense out of everything when in reality, all we are doing is satisfying what we want for the moment. We never actually try to fit the pieces together....that would ruin all there is to curiousity and exploration; to experiments and hypothesis. Everyone would be wrong and everyone would be right. Supposedly, that would destroy the balance between ying and yang, if you will." Perhaps it was that she was only speaking of things she had read on books but still, her thoughts and opinions on such matters were quite clear regardless of where the information had first found her. And perhaps she was even straying farther from the subject than she intended to; the whims that cross her mind were most often said right when they appeared and just as they appeared...

Performing a small backflip, he returned to being right side up, and floated chest deep in the water. "You have hit the nail on the head." He grinned. "You are the first person to understand the world the way I do. I wonder why that is?"

Zlex smiled as she shrugged being quite honest and not much up for thinking about it.

"I don't know," she admitted directly. Her violet eyes wandered a little before returning to him, "Honestly, I haven't found anyone who actually understands what I believe in. Everyone thinks I'm a little too...foreign, I suppose. So, someone who also shares the same views as I do doesn't come so abundantly." Zlex paused for a moment.

"Or perhaps it's because we haven't spent our entire lives dedicated to solely this planet...or maybe because our ancestors didn't. Perhaps some of the experiences you went through are similar to the ones I went through..." some of her questions began to make her a little more curious about Mirakel. "But why do you think so?..."

He actually began to set his mind in motion to try and figure that very question out. "Well, perhaps its because were both new here. I mean, you're new as in a newcomer, and I'm new as in coming to terms with something I've been removed from for so long. I didn't actually interact with others until a year or two ago. I still find the things they do foreign." He swam in a lazy circle.

"Where did you live and visit before here. I've never been off world..."

"You've never been off of this planet before??" Zlex asked rhetorically. That didn't surprise her much. She had quickly learned that many people on earth had never left before. Besides, few even knew about the many planets that existed around the nine that they were able to discover.

"Well, most of the planets I've been to and lived on are not known to this world. I do believe that the only place out of the nine planets known to earth that I've been on was Pluto." She explained. "I've been on many planets, most of the time only passing through. I've lived on Hashinaru and one of the moons of Irretria. I've passed through earth's moon also." She continued, nodding her head periodically with the names that she went through.

"Pluto is quite interesting," she decided to talk more about a planet that he might be familiar with, "Although it's mostly ice due to the lack of sunlight...inside of its caves...it's really beautiful. People actually live there. They don't look like me or you though; of course everyone develops in correspondance with their environment." She paused for a moment before changing the subject, "Earth's moon is strangely deserted. Nothing is there but rocks and such. It's bland. I do believe that some type of life once lived there....perhaps they were interrupted by the landing of humans; many races despise and fear the humans. Or perhaps they took off to a different planet because of the lack of resources." Zlex mused.

"But that pretty well sums up my travel log. How about you? Where on this planet have you traveled? I've only been here..."

Mirakel thought about that. He'd been pretty much everywhere. "The shorter answer would be where haven't I been. I've been all over this world except some parts of Africa and Australia."

A thought struck him. "How familiar are you with our geography?"

"How familiar am I with your geography?" Zlex repeated as if she were stalling for time to answer. She remembered the way Madame tried to teach her everything she would need to know about earth and almost smiled when she began to remember the maps she scoped.

"Well, although I have studied the different countries of earth well enough, I do get confused sometimes about certain places. It's been a while since I've even reviewed it though, so I'm probably not as good." She admitted a little timidly. "Why?"...

Zlex didn't seem surprised at all although such questions were seldom asked of her. She tilted her head like she usually did when she was thinking a little about her answer. She smiled and shrugged a little.

"Well, I like you a lot. You're a really good person to hang out with." She noted with a slight nod of her head for her own confirmation. "You're a really good friend to have." She added.

Zlex had only recently been taught that there were two meanings behind the word 'like' and her answer was more of a way to figure out what meaning he was actually going by...

he smiled. "Well good. I like it when I have good friends. Perhaps we might become best friends some time." He smiled. "I've never had any friends before." He wondered about what he said, the quickly added something. "I hope you don't think that I meant 'like' as in a romantic relationship..."

"It's hard for me to form best friend relationships. Other people are so hard to trust and their love to break others is treacherous. But, perhaps we can reach that extent of friendship. I don't think you'd hurt me." Zlex explained, "I hope you don't take that offensively. It's just the way I protect myself from others." She shook her head a little in dismay.

"What I can't understand is the fact that you'd never had friends before. Why didn't you have friends?" She asked as she rememebered the years in her childhood life in which having friendships was impossible.

It was when he mentioned the dual meaning of 'like' that she had to laugh a little. She nodded her head. "I did think you meant that at first. However, I wasn't so sure of myself. I don't like jumping to conclusions, though." She admitted.

"It's hard to tell the difference in the context sometimes." She noted seeming a little weary of the english language for the first time. In a sense, she was glad that one person in this planet didn't like her in the romantic sense. She already had a few people falling in love with her and she felt drained by their presense around her. All she truly wanted was to have a few friends that she could hang out with. It wasn't the thought of love that scared her but rather the way it changed people so fast.

"Have you found anyone that you do like romantically yet?" She asked out of her own curiousity...

He smiled when she reassured him. "Glad to hear it."

About him not having any friends... well, alright then. "Well, I grew up in an experimentational facility within the Gobi desert. I was an experiment by the Japanese government to develope the ultimate warrior. On the metal operating table, your genes being spliced and rearranged, you don't meet too many friendly faces." His eyes clouded over, silence enveloping him. He looked away, painful memories resurfacing. When she asked if there was anyone he liked romantically, it didn't help much. Love was something he'd never felt. "I... I don't know what love is. I've never been loved as anything more than an achievement in someone's pocket book." This made a single tear mix with the clear lake water.

Zlex froze in a type of astonishment that could only be achieved once in a lifetime. She had understood the pain he felt and couldn't believe that she had found someone that she actually felt rather close to now. Her heart began to ache and she felt a little disturbed by her own mistakes.

"I'm sorry, Mirakel. I should've..." She trailed off not knowing the right arrangement of words to describe what she felt. She shook her head wearily.

"I know how you feel...as awkward and unconvincing as it sounds...I don't know what love is either." She had struggled so hard to understand the explanations given by others but she was never able to achieve that level of full comprehension.

"I can't feel a number of emotions that people feel. That includes love. Although this isn't the result of a governmental project, it derived from the horrible morals and values set by my people." She explained, hoping to help him just a little bit by her own close experiences.

"Believe me, I've never truly been loved myself. Although others 'love' me....they only look at what beauty I have....That isn't love." She continued. She felt a little depressed thinking about it and she felt the need to either change the subject or create a silence. And only because a direct subject change would be unsuccessful at tearing the memory apart, she provoked the silence until Mirakel decided to break it himself...

Mirakel waited until she'd finished. "You'd be suprised how, here on earth, how often someone's pocketbook and their morals are often one and the same." He dunked his head underwater, the chill liquid clearing his head. "Anyway, I'm glad that you are someone that I can relate to. I feel, from a objective standpoint, that love isn't simply someone's looks. It needs to be something like what we have, only stronger. It is not you physical attractiveness that makes me drawn to you, it is your personality and past that makes me want to be near you like this." He floated on his back and smiled.

"I hope that is what love is. It makes so much more sense that way."

Zlex's expression softened with relief. She didn't want to let that moment of tension persue. He had been the closet friend to her so far and she would have hated to ruin it.

"It does make more sense like that." She agreed with a slight nod of her head as she watched him.

"That's how I always wanted to base my friendships on." She continued, "I had hoped to form friends because of their personalities...however, it's rather hard for me to actually find real friends like you. Your personality is most unique and I feel closer to you because we aren't that different in all reality." This observation wasn't so late in appearance at all. In fact, it took only the first few introductory words to assure her that they were much on the same page.

"But...sometimes I believe that even humans have no idea what love is...most of the time, they don't even know how to explain it or how you come about it. I believe that they're just about as confused as we are; we're just the first to admit it."...

Suddenly, his expression became difficult to read. He wasn't sure if he should bring her up, but the sudden reminder was hard to hide. "Oh..." Zlex trailed off as her gaze fell down to the water surrounding. She would rather forget about her sister altogether.

"Well, I'm sorry that you had to meet her. She doesn't care too much about anyone. In fact, she hates anyone that isn't her race." She explained, almost apologizing for her.

"Although her hatred is cast out to many, her appearance draws people to her. Yet, she feels no love and therefore uses them to her needs. Then, she casts them out." She could almost picture Jack who had fallen in love with Zlax. It was because of him that she was able to achieve her goals...yet, his love for her only caused problems. He was quickly thrown out of the situation.

"But...I'm glad you didn't fall into that same category. I would hate to see such a terrible thing happen to you. I'm just glad she didn't run her blade through you." She added as she shook her head, seeming a little downtroddened that yet another person had met her sister's bad aura...

Mirakel knew that thos was going to happen sooner or later, so he might as well do it know. "I'm sorry if I am ruining our day together, but... I need to know some things. Firstly, why would your sister say to not trust you, considering where you come from? I mean, you are a good person and can inherently be trusted, yes?"

"You're not ruining my day," Zlex corrected him, "Anyone who meets my sister will automatically question me over many things. I've gotten used to this and I've prepared myself. Believe it or not, a lot of people have already drowned me in questions; some of which, I had no answer to."

She paused for a moment and smiled just to assure him that she was ok with his curiousity. "If you ask me, I am trustworthy. However, you must understand that all Hashinarians were raised to be liars and heart-breakers. I was one of the few that dared rebelled against such morals. Therefore, I was locked inside for a good portion of my childhood just to keep me from being executed. My sister hated me for going against traditions. She's trying her best to hurt me now because she blames me for a big portion of the pain she had to endure afterward." Again, she paused as if to allow time for all of her explanations to sink in.

"It is said that even those who rebelled against the ways of the Hashinarians cannot escape their true destiny of being the most untrustworthy people. It's all in the blood, they say...and of course, I'm full blood."...

Mirakel was almost laughing out loud as he heard this. Most of it sounded something out of Sparta of the ancient Romans... only without the rule of ultimate obedience. "Well, have you ever thought of fighting back? I mean, you are the one rebelling. Why is she hurting you? Shouldn't it be the other way around?"

Zlex quickly shook her head in opposition. She looked rather vulnerable now as her face changed into a more frightened expression. Just thinking about her sister gave her the chills.

"I...you...you don't understand." She protested, shaking her head some more, "She's so much stronger than me. They put us through training while we are little....I, as the rebel, was not allowed to go."

"Plus, she has more experiences than me. She's wiped out a complete planet by herself with nothing but her ancient sword by her side. All she has to do is wish someone dead and there would be someone backing her up...protecting her and helping her. I could never fight against her. She'd win and would kill me." She looked down, obviously shivering although it was not cold.

"I often wished there was something I could do...but there isn't. When she comes after me, I won't stand a chance. She's just letting me run for now, all to her amusement...If I try to fight back, I won't be able to stall for more time." A few tear drops fell down her cheek although she hardly realized that they were flowing so freely without her will.

"I....I don't have anyone with me who would help me defeat her....I don't think I'd have the guts to do it anyway..."

Before she knew it, she was wrapped up tenderly in Mirakel's arms. He held her close so that her forearms rested against his bare chest. Though the water was warm, their skin felt chill as they connected.

"Zlex..." He whispered softly. He tilted his head downward so that his mouth was right next to her right ear. "Don't think for a minute anything about yourself that you've just said." He pulled her even closer. "You are strong, strong enough to hold to yourself all of the thoughts and ideals that you hold dear. That is real strength. And you do have someone to stand next to you through all things, thick and thin."

His palms slid against her back, sliding them gently over her shoulderblades. "You are the first person to come this close to me. Don't think for a nanosecond that I won't be here for you."

At first, Zlex could not answer with more than the sounds of her crying that had grown slightly from the tears that had falled earlier. She felt a little embarrassed that she was crying in the arms of Mirakel. Still, even that couldn't lessen her moments of release. To her, her crying went on for a long time, yet it had only been a few minutes (if that).

"I...I'm sorry." She apologized, "I didn't mean to cry all over you like this....I've never felt this way before..." She took a few deep breaths to help calm her down because she didn't want to continue crying.

"Thank you for being there for me." She replied after a moment's pause, "It's the most comforting to hear at a time like this. I have to admit that I feel rather useless now...I'm proving myself already weak. Why, she'd laugh at me right about now."

She stared into his eyes with every bit of seriousness that she could muster. "I have to face her sooner or later, Mirakel. I'll have to fight. Will you help me when that time comes despite the danger it may provoke to you?"...
