11:59. Christmas Eve.
---

“C’mon…Try again. We both know you can do it.”

With a soft bark, the fiery dog nodded and started to glow again. The tall grass of the meadow, in the spots that weren’t covered with layers of snow, swayed back and forth, harder by the second, as more and more powerful winds picked up. Sparky started glowing brighter, bright enough to the point that only the vibrant red color could be seen, and some of his outline…but no definites. Turned into pure energy, he had. Faits eyes took on a red glow, from the bond they shared, as Sparky started moving about in circles around his master.

“Now try splitting..”

Something between a grunt and a roar bellowed out softly as they flying, circling dragon-dog started to shake. The wind kicked harder, and the pure white cloak wrapped around Faits body snapped violently at the air, but he stayed, unmoving. Soon enough, the Sparky’s form split, first into two, then into a third, glowing red draconian creatures, seemingly made out of flames. Was there a reason he was training, Christmas morning, the day before his party? Well, there was nothing better to do than hang out with Sparky, so why not teach him a trick or two? His eyes glanced for a moment past the swirling mass of energy and up at the moon, full, beyond the darkened clouds. Funny…he had been back for over a month now…and seemed to lose more than he had lost out on his own. Even his best friend was now calling him his worst enemy. A bittersweet taste filled his mouth, filled with a want for redemption, along with twisted hate. The bat-like sword at his hip picked up on that, and started glowing…driving that anger further along.

All at once, a loud, fierce cry came from Sparky, seemingly out of all three forms at once, as they got bigger, and moved faster. Surely, someone would have heard it…but he was dangerously far out in the meadow, far off from the school. Maybe just the light show would attract attention…

“Calm yourself, Sparx…You’ll wake the kids.”

(( Alright, so here’s the deal. This topic has been under some major neglect after previous plans fell through. But it needs to get done. So, it won’t be as detailed as I may’ve liked…or as long. But it needs to get done regardless. So, without further ado~ Part II. ))

<Stryker~>

A deathly chilling voice slit the air apart, coming from everywhere and nowhere all at once. A flick of his wrist and Sparky had receded back into the shoulder pad. Something familiar about that voice…turning, he found the source; a blue alien, dressed in gold armor. Remarkably similar to one he’d seen before, his own brother, Cyros. But the voice sounded different…deeper, gruffer. More…evil. His eyebrows narrowed as he stared out at the creature, golden tentacles swaying about in the black night idly.

“What do you want?”

<Is that any way to greet your father, boy?>

Now, from what Fait knew, there was blood from two timelines in his veins. His mother, normal Drisk’la, and his father, the top elite warrior in his futuristic time; the Sle’drax. Viewed as almost god-like with their power. But if he was from the future…just what was he doing here?

“What are you doing here?”

<I’d heard that your brother was dead…and yet, you lived on. You must be the stronger, even though you are younger.>

“You weren’t there to see him die. You don’t know a damn thing about him!”

As much as he didn’t feel like getting into something right now…anger and hatred were pouring into every one of his senses, and beginning to cloud judgment. Wind kicked up around him, and blue eyes flashed red the instant his blond hair attained a solid black streak. Violent blades of lightning circled his body sporadically, making the alien across from him laugh inside his head.

<Ohh yes…I can sense it. You are the stronger one, aren’t you, little Stryker?>

“My name…is Fait.”

<Maybe the name you gave yourself. But you’ll always be little Stryker to me.>

Keeping anger in check was becoming hard…

“Just what do you think you’re doing outside your time?”

<I’ve come to test you, dear boy. See if you can defend yourself in a real fight. See if you’re ready to fill my place, and become the demonic killer you were made to be.>

“I’ll never be like you.”

<Oh really? Well, we’ll just have to see if I can’t provoke you a little…>

“Pro..Why are you trying to pick a fight?”

<To see if you’re worthy of being the strongest up and coming Drisk’la in existence, or if all the hype is just that…hype.>

“I’m not going to fight you just so you can play your little games, and there’s nothing you can do to me to make me.”

<No?> A cruel, cold laugh rang out into the night. <Who ever said anything about attacking you?>

His long, slender arm reached back, index finger pointed out, and started glowing red. In an instant, an orb appeared, and a beam of energy shot out towards the school. Faits eyes shot open wide before he rocketed forward, grabbing Nightmare in midair, and smacking the beam up into the sky with a well-placed swing. The moment he did though, his skin changed black, as did his hair. The cloak went from white and clothy to black and ethereal, and visible crags opened up through his body, revealing a sick red glow, reeking with power.

Chaos never was a fun person to deal with…

“You’ll pay for that!”

Nightmare was gone, but it wasn’t needed. He launched his dark self at the alien, and the battle began…
