Christmas had finally arrived -- a day that Ken'ichi had always liked, as it had been the one day of the year where he could actually act like a normal person rather than a stuffy stereotypical rich boy. Even though he was finally away from that, the magic of Christmas had not left Ken'ichi at all; in fact, it was even greater since this year he had already received the best present he had ever received: the chance to be in a place where he could be who he is and what he is rather than some stuffy rich boy stereotype. Of course, this holiday season he wasn't going to pass up the chance to do a little "carolling" of his own. He had on his usual blue button-up shirt and black pants and was carrying his guitar on his back. He found a relaxing spot on the ground and began to strum on his guitar. Throughout most of the year, he'd be playing a hard rock song on that guitar; however, this time of the year, at least to him, it was only appropriate to play something a little more seasonal.

# Over the ground lies a mantle of white
A heaven of diamonds shine down through the night
Two hearts are thrillin' in spite of the chill in the weather

Love knows no season; love knows no clime.
Romance can blossom any old time.
Here in the open we're walkin' and hopin' together ...

Sleigh bells ring -- are you listenin'?
In the lane, snow is glistenin'.
A beautiful sight; we're happy tonight,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird --
Here to stay is a new bird.
He sings a love song as we go along,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland. #

Kenshin walked through the trees towards the waterfall, enjoying the interesting music. Kenshin spotted the person sitting by the side of the water with his guitar. Kenshin smiled, his pure white gi shone in the sun.
"'Tis the season I suppose." Kenshin said. "You like Christmas? I think it's nice, to spend time with friends and family out of something other than necessity for once." Kenshin looked over the guy, Kenshin thought of his days sitting with sensei playing his wood flute, he didn't often play Christmas carols, but he loved them all the same. Kenshin thought of the beutiful music he used to play, with Ayame and the others. Kenshin smiled as his thoughts consumed him.

Ken'ichi stopped playing as Kenshin started to talk, doing a sort of quick "fade out" as he heard Kenshin begin talking so he could hear what Kenshin was saying. He indeed did enjoy Christmas and always had; the atmosphere around most of the world was more of an "enjoyable" type of atmosphere as opposed to the "gloom and doom" the rest of the year. He also smiles; this truly is a great time of the year -- a time when people get to spend time with the people they care about and sometimes even make some new friends as well. Even though he wasn't home with his family for Christmas, with the friends he had made he had no shortage of Christmas cheer -- he was with people who seemed to like him unconditionally, and between the season itself and the friends he had made, he had some very good reasons to be happy this Christmas. "Definitely -- it's nice to have such a holiday where, like you said, you can spend time with your friends and family without it being out of necessity, and the rest of the year people are always reporting on the 'gloom and doom' of the world, and it's a refreshing break from all that." He holds his hand out in front of him. "By the way, I'm Ken'ichi. What's your name?"

It was cold outside that day, the kind of weather that blanketed the ground with snow and made mothers bundle up their children in an obscene amount of warm clothing. Even the sky itself was blotted out with the falling snow, each tiny snowflake dancing in the wind with merry jubilation as if each tiny fleck of white had some understanding of the holiday season it was born into.

There were many people who preferred spring, or summer, but Jacob had always loved winter. The snow and cold had its own beauty and charms, ones that seemed far more rare and complex when compared to the other seasons.

Jacob had time off from his classes at school for several days, just like most of the students. When the big day arrived, Jacob walked off on his own towards the forest and the waterfall that had proved so popular for the students of AHS. He left the dorms and the masses of excited students behind him as he walked off into the shimmering white haze of snow.

He needed to be alone, just for a little while. He needed to be away from all the people and the hunger, where his mind could wander without interruption and the only sounds were far off in the distance and no more important than each petty snowflake that fell into the mass of snow that coated the ground.

He had received a Christmas card in the mail several days before, and Jacob had put off on opening it until that very morning. It wasn’t tradition that kept him from opening the letter, but fear and trepidation for what might be written inside. The truth was far more under whelming than most of his fears.

“Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.”
That and the obligatory signatures of his parents, and a bit of money. Nice and impersonal, but it was better than nothing.

Jacob had wandered towards the waterfall, following the noise of rushing water as he lamented the loss of the falling snow. The weather had calmed and it was eerily peaceful now, all except for the sound of music dancing through the air around him.

Jacob continued forward, smiling inwardly at the sight of the waterfall as he approached the two talking figures, recognizing one of them and running the person with the guitar through his memory, trying to determine if he had ever seen the person in passing in the halls at school. “Hello.”

Kenshin stared into the blanket of white in wonder, Winter was the best time of year, despite the cold, Kenshin loved it. Kenshin thought about his christmas, not too exciting, yet fun and joyful all the same. Kenshin heard the boy speak.
"Well it sure is a beutiful day to enjoy it." Kenshin said, shaking Ken'ichi's hand. "I'm Kenshin Hattori, it's nice to meet you." Kenshin heard footsteps in the snow, he felt the presence, it was familiar, his eyes suddenly widened, he spun his head over, instinctively putting his hand on his katana. He listened to Jake speak. His eyes narrowed as he pulled his hand from the sword. His mind raced, thinking of the events past.
"You would know wouldn't you?" Kenshin said, anger in his tone. "Gave Siru one hell of a present this year huh? Tell me, are you hungry Jake? Plenty of bodies left in the school." Kenshin's mind raced back to that day, the yells echoed through his mind, the site of the seemingly insane Jake strangling the boy and he, standing in the shadows he made, anger in his heart and fear on his face. He remembered the look on the boy's face as his very life was torn from him. "Bastard, how dare he show his face in my presence." Kenshin thought. He attempted to clear his mind and stay level headed, but was failing.

"No need to get so worked up. It would seem there are many students here that have the tendency to get emotional over nothing." Jacob continued walking forward towards the two males, his eyes watching them with practiced disinterest, amethyst eyes taking in every detail and committing it to memory.

"Siru is perfectly fine. I saw him several days ago in the school gym."
Jacob gave a dismissive flick of his right hand as he spoke, as if brushing off the entire subject with nothing more than the simple and elegant gesture. "We even talked for a little while."

Jacob was getting used to being judged unfairly by others, although he was often far more careful now in his feeding habits than he had been that day with Kenshin.
Siru didn't remember a thing, and it was better that way for everyone involved.
"Its not my fault what I am, but I suppose you would have me spend weeks in bed, coughing up blood and squirming around in agony until I finally died, rather than to cause a few people some pain and discomfort."

A smile quirked the right corner of his lips, a glimpse of ivory white teeth showing under those pale red crescents of flesh. "From what I have heard around school in passing, you were not all that kind to, Siru, yourself. So don't preach to me, boy."

Jacob stopped when he was twenty yards away from the pair, arms resting non-threateningly at his side, violet eyes calm and warm. "And no, I am not hungry. It's Christmas, I didn't plan to go about feeding on anyone today. Are you done with your display of anger? I have no intention of causing trouble."

Jacob waited quietly for a response, and to see if he would make some noble comment about keeping an eye on him, or some oath of revenge. Ninja's were known to be dramatic after all.

Kenshin calmed himself as he listened to the boy speak. "He's right, there's no need to get worked up." Kenshin thought. Kenshin spoke, now quite calm.
"I'm glad to see you have yourself under control. As for my bout with Siru, at least I had the heart to take him to the hospital and sit by his bedside all night until he woke up. I made sure he was all right instead of being a coward and walking off. And no, I would see you happy, but there has to be some other way, doesn't there? And I know probably better than most in this school what you go through, but I've learned to control myself, you don't think the demon hungers? You don't think he thirsts for blood? He takes me when he can't have others, and I sit in bed lifeless shaking and coughing up blood too, but that hasn't happened for a while because I controlled it. I know what you go through, but in a different way, I hunger for souls, lives themselves. I pity you, truly I do, and I do apologize for my attitude, but I rarely adress attempted murderers with respect." Kenshin was still angry, but he tried hard to make his tone not show it.

Jacob laughed, the sound of his voice ringing out over the pounding sound of falling water, every bit as merry and cheerful as any laugh had ever been. The ninja was trying to talk about his problems, trying to show him that he had experienced the same sort of torture that he had endured for eight years. A broken and distorted childhood he could never get back.

"If I had wanted him dead, he would of been. I'm not big on attempting anything, I just do it."

Jacob sat himself down on a large jutting rock, one that had been carved out from the earth by the force of the running water, and he folded his right arm around his right knee, drawing it up to his chest as he watched the two males. "Don't talk to me about demons, you don't have any true comprehension about how terrible such things really are. If you did, Siru, would have been dead at your feet instead of walking around and interrupting my workouts."

His eyes narrowed for a moment, each lavender iris sharpened into a knifepoint of contempt. He didn't enjoy having to listen about Kenshin and his little inner struggles. Jacob had never whined to anyone about his affliction. He had informed a few select people about it through the years, but he had never tried to match his experience against anyone else’s pain, and he never sought out sympathy either.

"It's better to just embrace what you have become, rather than to fight it constantly. It isn't a matter of strength and willpower, but of just giving in to the power and freedom it can provide you. In truth, you’re not strong enough to let go, and it will only cause you needless pain. Now..."

Jacob shifted his eyes to the male with the guitar, a warm, pleasant smile spreading out across his fine features as he observed him. "I think our little conversation might have neglected our musically inclined friend here, don't you think?"

Ken'ichi at the same time shakes Kenshin's hand. "It's nice to meet you too! You're right about that -- this definitely is a beautiful day -- perfect for Christmas." He then turns around to see another boy join them -- and a seemingly immediate reaction from Kenshin. Ken'ichi had not heard anything about what happened -- he knew about neither Jacob's condition nor what happened to Siru; then again, he wasn't really the type of person who was usually in the know about such things. It sounded like the two of them had met before under not-too-great terms; he was hoping that a fight wouldn't break out right there -- after all, his music was intended to entertain, not to bring people together for the purpose of beating the crap out of each other. However, luckily it did not escalate that far, and he figures that they'll be fine even if the event that they were referring to was something serious -- he has his guitar with him in addition to a second power, and if Siru recovered quickly it couldn't have been all that bad. However, he figures that he would not need to use them, as he does not expect that Jacob would attack them. He extends his hand, also glad to meet another student at this school. "Hi -- I'm Ken'ichi. You are?" He could ask about the event that happened, but he didn't want to add fuel to the fire. Besides, he's just glad that his music attracted another person, even if the two who had come by were each other's enemy.

His smile held firm, warm, pleasant, and strangely reassuring. Jacob was the sort that could fake all sorts of emotions with perfect precision, his face changing like a living mask. You would never see his true thoughts or emotions in his expressions unless he wanted you too, but he had nothing to hide this time, and he didn’t bother trying to wall himself up. Jacob wasn’t the sort of person to pursue pointless endeavors.

His smile faded slightly as the other male reached out his hand, his eyes trailing down to look at his outstretched appendage before snapping back up to look at his face. He reached out, his fingers clasping around the other males hand as he gave it a proper shake before letting it slip free from his grasp. “Jacob Leventa.”

Ken'ichi shakes his hand. "It's nice to meet you!" He then is facing the both of them, quickly trying to think of something to talk about. Since his goal wasn't to get the two of them to fight, he still doesn't really want to ask about what happened, especially if the other person involved was all right. Besides, despite what the two of them had been saying about each other, he didn't see anything that he needed to worry about as far as either of them goes. Of course, usually the next thing he asks people he meets and is trying to make friends with is what some of their interests are -- a sorta "expected" question, yes, but if a common bond is found, then all the better. He addresses the two of them at the same time. "So, what are some of your interests?"

Kenshin listened to the demonic piece of hell talk. Kenshin was furious, he tore his Katana from the sheath and pointed the tip towards jake's neck. "I could slit your throat right now and not have a thought of sorrow at my actions. Siru would be dead, if I hadn't come to and taken pity on him, but I don't murder helpless people out of fury. And if you think you have problems..." Kenshin's mind raced with thoughts that were not his own. "Kill him, let him die, show him no mercy, give in, my hunger is great, you cannot resist any longer. "If you'd like to meet the demon, I could let you." Kenshin smiled, his expression was cruel and hateful. "He wouldn't mind meeting you. I'm sure he'd love the introduction." Kenshin tried hard to fight the demon here, but his anger was strong. The pull of the blade was great, the demon within it was controlling Kenshin. "Don't let yourself Kenshin. You'll be no better than he is." Kenshin's mind was focused on his target, the other boys words were drowned out.

Ken'ichi then knew that this was pretty much out of his control. Unfortunately, his music, which was meant to brighten the season, ended up attracting two people who were now about to start a fight. Ken'ichi knew that he needed to put his guard up; if he were to get dragged into this, he'd definitely need to be able to at least defend himself. Even though this really was between Kenshin and Jake, Ken'ichi still couldn't put his guard down; if he were to do so, a stray attack could come his way. Luckily, the guitar that activates one of his powers is still with him, and though he still is convinced he isn't going to need to use it, he still is in position to pick it up should something come his way as well.

Jacob felt the metal against his neck, cold from the winter weather, and as sharp as any edged weapon had ever been. Those cold, and emotionless violet eyes slowly turned upward to look Kenshin in the eye from his sitting position. He was utterly composed and infuriatingly calm, as if Kenshin's weapon was made of rubber or some other harmless and malleable substance.

His slid his neck forward against the blade, and he felt the razor edge bite along his skin, penetrating it ever so slightly as his body shifted. A faint trickle of blood flowed down his skin, nothing more than a few scarlet drops slipping down the flesh of his neck, and he held still with the blade against him, never blinking, and never wincing in pain. "Do it..."

His eyes narrowed into points that were far sharper and finely honed than Kenshin's sword could ever aspire to. Jacob's pale lips curled upward in an angry sneer as he glared up at the so-called ninja and his little demon. "I wish I had some witty line for you, but I don't. Why don't you just stop talking and kill me?"

Kenshin's vision faded, he heard nothing, he was blacking out again. There were voices in his head, something whispering in the back of his mind, and then, all at once, Kenshin didn't feel the bitter cold any longer, it was dark, he could see nothing but he was totally relaxed. The demon began to take control of Kenshin, Kenshin's skin darkened, it became scaly and hard, his eyes redened, his teeth became sharp and thick, blood dripped from his black lips, his katana was black, charred and dripping with blood, it was returning to it's state the day the demon had possesed it, a surge of ki rippled through Kenshin's possessed body, he felt this, the pure power of the demon and it's killer. Kenshin's mind was clear as the demon, now fully transformed, half way between Kenshin and the great dragon used his tool's arm to pull back the blade, wind errupted from Kenshin's body, the dragon was gathering energy, his eyes closed, his breath ceased the wind was like a hurricane, but Kenshin and the dragon felt nothing. And then, in an instant, the storm became still, silence echoed through the deepest reaches of the cliff on which they stood, the water stopped flowing and time itself seamed to stop. Shadows appeared fromnothing, veiling the demon in darkness, his claws curled slowly into a hard grip on the ancient blade, and then... he smiled, a cold chill filled the airas the demon finally opened its deep red and glowing eyes.
"I've been waiting to see you, Jake Laventa, for some time I have been feeding off the hate he holds for you." The voice that spoke was low, dark, raspy, cold and heartless. "I've reserved a corner in hell for you, soon you'll see it. Don't worry, it won't be long now." The demon's eyes narrowed, he put the charred blade up to gaurd himself. His snake-like togue flicked in and out of his sharp and blood stained teeth. Another burst of wind erupted from the body of the demon, the sword became veiled in shadow, the demon was using Kenshin's power, but magnified with his terrible power. Soon the demons entire form dissapeared in to the darkeness that surrounded them all.

Kenshin was sitting in a corner in the darkness, he didn't have memory, he was happy where he was, he felt nothing, but in an instant, an incredible power coursed through him, his mind raced, and then it struck him, the demon, what was going on, where was he? Bursts of ki hit him like waves in the sea, it was dark, terrible, like the depths of hell itself, his eyes widened. Across the room, eyes opened, they were great, red, shining eyes, the light spread through a snake like form. Kenshin recognized this at once, he had seen it many times before, late at night in his dreams. The demon spoke. "You have great power, Kenshin Hattori, my own child betrays me with his power. You know of what I speak Kenshin, I am your ancestor, so why then do you battle me, I was united with my blood the day you found that accursed blade, why then do you resist?" Kenshin gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowed. "You are trapped within your own mind, I have defeated the great son of the moon with a single stroke of my hand, welcome, Kenshin, to my home, welcome to the shadow realm." The demons eyes brightened and a cold and terrible laugh echoed through the dark place.

Kenshin's possessed body threw itself towards Jake, his hands were beaming with a black light, this was the only sign he existed, his form was veiled in the massive ebon veil that consumed them all, the demon had no power of it's own, this was all of Kenshin's doing, the massive surge of ki came not from the demon, but from the body it consumed. The body ran past the now darkened Jake and launched a burst of ten or twelve shuriken towards his back.

(OOC- Sorry for the wait ^_^;;)

Ken'ichi then realised that there was no way that he was going to be able to stop a fight from starting; it had already escalated to the point where it was completely out of his control. It's unforunate that his music brought this on, and he somewhat blames himself for it, cursing himself in his head. "This is all your fault, Ken'ichi, you idiot." Of course, that meant that he needed to keep his guard up in case something were to happen to drag him into it. Then, Kenshin's demon side starts appearing and seems to almost being fighting with Kenshin and Jake at the same time. Ken'ichi had only seen something like this once before -- but that time, it hadn't turned into what looked like it could become a deathmatch. He holds onto his guitar, ready to use it if he needs to do so; however, unless provoked to do so first, he isn't going to take sides on it, especially since he had just met both of them for the first time.

As the possessed Kenshin ran towards him, Jacob thrust himself over the right side of the rock, moving himself out of his direct path. A tentacle lashed out with inhuman speed as the majority of the shuriken buried themselves into it harmlessly, one of them flying past his right cheek and cutting it open, a steady stream of blood snaking down from the cut. Another caught on his right arm, sinking painfully into his flesh before he ripped it out with his left hand.

"Maybe I should start killing things like you, it could be a fun hobby."

Jacobs’s right hand dipped inside of his long leather jacket, removing a Mark XIX Desert Eagle from a concealed shoulder holster under his clothing. The gun was heavy and unwieldy at times, but Jacob wasn’t a normal human. He thrust the gun forward at the source of all those shadows, a single finger flicking off the safety with all the ease and experience that his recent practice with the weapon had taught him. Jacob wasn't all that amazing of a shot, but he knew how to work the weapon properly, and that was more than many people could say.

He thumbed the hammer back dramatically despite it not being necessary, and he took a standard shooting stance, the right side of his body facing Kenshin with his head turned to keep an eye on the target. In this stance he could deal more easily with the strong recoil of the weapon, although his wrist was likely to hurt in the morning.

"I wonder if you're fast enough to dodge a bullet moving at over 1200 feet per second. Drop your god damn weapons before I decide to find out, I am sure you don't want your host to be splattered across the forest floor, demon."

Jacob’s eyes narrowed, those amethyst orbs sharpening into knifepoints as he sighted the darkness down the center of the barrel. "Libérez-le, démon."

The demon didn't even bother to dodge the tentacle, it wasn't his body , after all, and he couldn't be killed. The demon laughed a heavy, cruel laugh at the boy's words. The tentacle shot deep into the possessed body. The demon's thick, bloodstained and razor sharp clows shot into the fleshy tentacle, the demon knew what he needed, control over this boy, this body wasn't fast enough to dodge bullet's and it was true he didn't want another thousand years to find another host. The dark, low voice spoke again. "I've dodged bullets before, child. Don't think I won't kill you, Kenshin may be kind hearted and foolish, but I am not so naive as the boy you know." The demon pointed the blade towards the mass of mortal flesh. "I wouldn't bother with scum like you, but today, I am hungry." The demon laughed, loudly, cruely, like shattering glass or a shrill scream, his voice was changing, and so were his features. The teeth that were now clearly visible flowed with blood, but were still black and thick. His nose was extending, like that of a dog, his tail was growing, his claws were thicker, sharper, flowing with blood. His eyes erupted in a blood red flame. The laughing continued, at his full form, his very voice could kill those who heard it, but now, it only sounded terrible, he was not yet dangerous, or at least, not near as dangerous as he would have chosen to be.

Kenshin was still in his prison, deep in the depths of his own mind. His whole body was aching, he was slowly dying, the demon was trying to get rid of him and us his soul. Kenshin didn’t have any sense of what was going on outside his prison. He was thinking hard about any kind of method he could use to escape him. Then, in an instant, his side seared with pain, his mind flashed to a vision of something hitting him and penetrating into his body, the pain had given him a path into Katashi’s mind, he tried desperately to think of how he could use this, but his body was racked with pain. There was no visible sign of the wound, no blood, or scars, but he could feel it very well.

"Demons." Jacob laughed to himself as if the very word itself was some sort of marvelous and inspiring joke. It was all such a remarkable coincidence that he couldn't help but wonder if Kenshin was a part of all the dreams he had been having as of late. It was always the same, every night. But each time the dream went a little further, and he saw more of it.

It was nothing more than a large green field, its landscape dotted here and there with large rolling hills that obscured whole pieces of the horizon beyond. It was a place not unlike hundreds of others scattered across the world, but today it would be special.

There was a man in the center of the field, and he was standing perfectly still. He seemed to take no breath as he waited, and the only motion his body created was that of his long black hair whipping back and forth in the wind as it danced with anticipation for what awaited just beyond the horizon.

He had once been a normal man, and nothing more than the son of a poor farmer.
That had all changed when he found a single shard of metal resting in a field of crops.
Soon after, the young boy of 15 had murdered his entire family after deciding that all they really wanted was his rusted shard of metal.

He left the farm in flames and ashes, and quested for no less than fifty years, yet he still remained a boy, caught forever in the embrace of that rusted piece of metal, and searching endlessly for the other shards that made up the collective whole. And now, here he stood, waiting for an entire army to come for him.

He was deathly thin and frail, his ribs poking out from under his pale white skin, and his eyes had dark rings around them from lack of sleep. His right arm had become something dark and twisted, and was now tipped with a sickening black hand with only four fingers, each one ending in a long curved claw.

There was a sword in the particular hand, black and shimmering, as if made of volcanic glass, a mass of squirming black tentacles at the hilt, searching for more food. It was too large for any normal human being to wield, but the boy hefted it around as if it were light as a feather.

The sounds of shouting and rushing horses filled the field, and all at once, hundreds of soldiers flowed over the top of the largest hill. They spilled down towards the boy like a swarm of locust and he simply raised the sword above his head, screaming in a voice that was no longer quite human. It was then that a large eye opened at its center, the same baby blue color as the boys, and it darted around back and forth inside of its socket, staring at the army in what can only be described as voracious hunger.

Horses fell to the ground with sickening thuds before crawling back up onto their legs and running away from the battle as fast as they could, some of them dragging their riders behind them as they screamed and fought to free themselves.

That was as far as he had ever seen, and now he could not help but wonder if there was some connection. There was only one problem, the sword Kenshin has was not nearly old enough, nor did it have the same properties. Jacob felt tied to the dreams and the memories, and he knew that it had something to do with the darkness and the parasite inside of him. He felt no connection to this sword, or to the blood dripping, hideous freak that was now holding the sword.

It was a demon in a sword. What Jacob saw in his dreams was a demon that was a sword.

"Is it really even worth the risk?"

He let the weapon fall to his side, the tentacle still drawing that terrible energy into his own body, the parasite being careful to purify it properly so that there was no chance of the demon using that power against its host.

"I'll help you take him if you wish. What would you truly gain from my death, when there is so much to take from my life? If you wish to fight, then we will, and maybe you will kill me. Or perhaps, I'll sink an entire clip of .50 calibur rounds into your damned hosts skull. So quite simply, is it worth the risk?"

The demon smiled, a cruel yet knowing smile.
"I've been watching you for sometime boy. You really are something special aren't you?" The demon narrowed his blood red eyes. "You don't fear me do you? That is foolish, listen closely to me, I see nothing I could gain from letting you live. And as for your petty threats, you have seen nothing of my power." The demon let out another burst of wind. The gale howled around the field you could barely hear the demon when he spoke. "Have you never heard of my power boy?" The wind become faster and harder. "Have you never seen my strength?" The wind was now ripping up the blankets of snow and ice around them. "There are many sources who will tell you of me. But they never even learned my name. Few even see my face before they die. If there's one thing you could learn about demons, it's that they won't fight you." The wind stopped all at once, an an eerie silence filled the place. The demon's left hand burst forth a black and shadowy light, it filled the trapped tentacle and something whispered in Jake's head. "They'll posses you." The claws tore deep into the tentacle and yanked hard.

Kenshin thought hard about his situation, then he thought of somtething. Maybe if he could cause himsel pain inside this place, maybe if he could make himself think he was wounded, he could make contact with Katashi. But what was there around here he could use? He got up and walked into he darkness, he saw nothing, then he realized, he was still carrying his sword. "Hell, how stupid can you be?" Kenshin pulled the sword from it's sheath and touched it to his forearm, it began to bleed slowly, nothing happened. Then, everything went bright white for a moment. He saw only darkness, but there was a tentacle inside his blackened body. "I suppose it works then." Kenshin said as he returned to his normal state. He pointed the sword into his leg. "Better not do any fatal cuts, just in case."

Jacob smiled happily to himself, a flash of ivory white teeth the match the white snow around them. School was boring, and life itself wasn't much better most of the time. But this? This was exciting. He could live for this sort of thing.

"It's foolish not to fear you? You really are full of yourself, especially for an all powerful demon that has to use a young boy for a host. You're pathetic."

Jacob laughed as the wind kicked up again, snow swirling merrily in the air as it flowed around him like a living storm. Jacob's long red hair lashed out in the wind like a river of crimson, and his lips upturned in a cocky smirk. He was enjoying himself.

As the power flowed into him, Jacob only became stronger and faster, feeding off all of that delicious energy like a starving man at a banquet. When the demon sunk its claws into the tentacle, it caused no damage. The tentacles had the ability to phase through organic material with ease, when he pulled the tentacle, it was like trying to grab smoke, and Jacob continued to stand there unaffected.

“We’re done talking. I’ll come to you again someday, and show you a real sword…”

Jacob’s left hand flashed out like lightning, his body seemingly boneless and flowing with liquid grace. He was much faster now with Kenshin's power flowing in his veins, too fast to be quite human. What appeared in the grasp of his left hand was only visible to Jacob and the demon, their energies now so finely attuned to one another.

It was a sword, one too large to be affectively wielded by anything that was human. It was black and twisted, red tentacles flowing through its middle and out past the hilt. The red tentacles lashed out back and forth in fast whipping motions, as if seeking something to latch on to.

The eye at the center snapped open, a sudden aura of darkness flashing out from that abominable iris, and it crackled against the aura from the demon. The eye was lavender, just likes Jacobs, and it flicked back and forth before steadying on the demon in a fixed stare of recognition.

Jacob’s right hand shot upward with that same inhuman speed, and his trigger finger squeezed the trigger, sending a round towards the demons left shoulder for a non-fatal wound. The sword flickered in his hands, not quite real in this world, the ghostly phantom of the sword only here because of the power flooding off the demon and Jacob. It wasn’t ready to show its eyes to the world quite yet. But soon. Very soon.

((The sword. My girlfriend drew it for me by hand a while ago for Jacob. Demon Sola ))

The demons blood red eyes flashed toward the gun and the bullet, he knew what was happening inside the boy's head and decided to use it. Kenshin thrust the sword deep into his leg, blood flowed from the open wound. The place where the blade had pierced seared with torturous and unbearable pain. He pulled the sword from the wound, his leg failed, he fell. He lay lifeless and screaming on the dark and stony floor of the place.

He awoke to the sound of something familiar. A voice, Jake Laventa. Suddenly, thoughts and memories hit Kenshin like stones. He began shaking, this was familiar to him, blood flowed from his cold lips. Then, something hit him hard in the shoulder, a bullet. His mind was blank, he was still in darkness, something familiar, that he had created before. His mind raced, and soon filled with unbearable rage, like nothing on this barren earth. His eyes flashed, he was falling, in the wind and snow, he fell, the cold taste of the bitter wind met his face and his eyes lossed all color and life, his lips din't move, his heart stopped. The wind ceased as his mind realized. "I am dieing."

His eyes closed. The demon was slowly striking at the very soul of it's victim, draining him of his very life. The consequences of his actions had come, he couldn't seperate himself from the demon and by attemting to resurface his consciesness, he had commited suicide. The darkness ceased, the sword fell as Kenshin lay lifeless on the ground, he was still yet consciess as he lay there in the bitter and cold ice and snow. His lips opened and a small and bright light left them, a small and insignificant orb of glowing radience. Suddenly it wisked back into the lips of it's host and Kenshin coughed and awoke, blood burst from his open mouth, his mind raced, he was back in the place, the boy standing just where he did and then Kenshin realized, the demon had save'd it's host.

But it came at a price, seemingly unphased by the events, Kenshin rose. His voice was two, one of the demon and the other Kenshins, they both spoke. "This is not the end, never the end, 'till the day when I shall rise again, when darkness fills the earth, you will know I've returned." Kenshin came to, he saw the sun again, the glittering snow, the boy standing across the field. He coughed up more blood as he thought, and remembered the demon's sights and thoughts. "This is the cost of my fight." He said. "But I take it gladly."

Jacob gave a slight shrug of his shoulders, that same irritating and cocky smile spread across his finely featured face. "I wonder how many other 'all powerful' monsters like you have made the same empty promises of doom and gloom."
Jacob held the gun steady on Kenshin, his hand unwavering even in the strong wind. The strength the demon had given to him made him more than strong enough to hold the gun with precision and care.

The gun went off again, sending a single round at Kenshin’s head so that with the high wind, it would only graze the corner of his right ear, rather than shooting into his skull and bouncing around inside his brainpan for a few seconds. "Leave. Now. And know that I'll soon take your very soul, demon, even if it leaves your vessel in shredded tatters."

"Pride is the fall of the weak, don't ever be sure of your abilities." Kenshin said as the bullet grazed past his ear. Kenshin didn't flinch, guns were nothing new nor special. "We're not done here, Jake. We will settle this." Kenshin kneeled down and formed a meditation seal, he needed to gather ki to keep himself alive. Kenshin knew he needed protection so he formed a simple ebon veil to protect himself. He placed himself off center in the darkness so as not to give a target should the insane child choose to throw a tantrum again. Kenshin consentrated hard, he needed to gather as much energy as possible to even bring himself to the hospital.

Hinakura slept on the dirt floor underground. The noise of gun shots and yelling was getting to her now she growled lightly her eyes half opened. Her rabbit ears twiched as she rolled over to all fours she looked over to wits seeing he was still sleeping. She crawled down the rabbit hole which lead to the waterfall or to her were the noise was comeing from soon she stoped opening a door that was above her. Now she was fully awake. She jumped out pulling the door the close it. Being a two-legged rabbit and haveing tunnels can come into use at times. She followed the noise as she took off her hat pulling out three green rabbits and one red rabbit. she droped them the the ground as the three green rabbits fur chanced colors so it matched the area around them. The red rabbit stayed with hinakura while the green rabbits crawed keeping there bellys close to the ground.
Hinakura looked over to Jacob seeing a gun into his hads "so your the one makeing all the noise" she said sounding like someone who didn't want to be waken "some of us sleep dureing the day" she went on ranting "and whats with the gun I mean you don't have to go off killing people" she said as the red rabbit pointed its nose over to Kenshin . Grunting to get hinakura to look Hinakura looked over to Kenshin then back to Jacob "and then you shoot my friend" she said well she gave a good guess this Jacob did shot her friend Kenshin because gun shots and him haveing a gun was a good give away. She pointed her left paw at Jacob "whats up with you new students trying to kill each other?" she growled her rabbit ears twiched once more sure she was like them when she first came to AHS but she thought things had changed she stoped pointing at Jacob. She looked over to Kenshin "Hay, Kenshin is this guy causeing you any trouble"

(OOC- This has been getting really interesting ^_^)

Ken'ichi had realised at this point that there was no stopping them now -- at this point, they were both trying to actually kill each other. He thought, though, now he understood what was going on: Kenshin was apparently possessed by a demon, and he was correct in assuming the two were mortal enemies -- but in his mind he was beating himself up for the whole situation; if he had not started playing music, this wouldn't have happened. Sure, he had no idea that this was going to happen, and it's not exactly something that anyone would've expected to happen -- but still, he couldn't stop blaming himself. Luckily, he was no longer the only third party in this situation, as one of Kenshin's friends -- who had the appearance of a bunny -- had joined them, so if things spiralled even further out of control -- well, two heads are better than one.

Jacob quirked an eyebrow at the new arrival, noting the obvious rabbit influence in her anatomy before shifting his lavender eyes back to the shadow that Kenshin had become. She was fairly young, and it was impossible to tell what sort of powers she might actually posses. Luckily Jacob was quite used to dealing with girls that happened to have a slightly more unusual appearance. His girlfriend was a Nekojin after all.

"Yes, I would say that I am giving him quite a bit of trouble, though I doubt he would ever like to admit it."

Jacob gave a slight tilt of his head, cocking it to the side as a spray of scarlet hair spilled out across the side of his shoulder. A dark little smile spread across the pale, red surface of his lips, a cocky smirk that showed he was anything but afraid of the Kenshin and the bunny.

"You might want to take a few steps away from him, cutey. He was dripping blood out of most of his face a few minutes ago, and proclaiming the apocalypse, but I'm sure that he is just a big softy on the inside, right?"

Jacob thumbed back the hammer, a gentle and satisfying click sounding from the primed weapon. It felt good in his hand, heavy, strong, and infinitely reassuring to boot. "I doubt it would matter if I said that he attacked me first..."

Kenshin's focus stayed strong and heavy on his mind, the voice was familiar.
"You shouldn't have come, Hinakura, this is not your fight, but if you must, yes," He glanced over at Jacob after listening to his remark. "I admit I am having a bit of trouble. This is my friend, the attempted murderer Jake Laventa, we've been good pals since he sapped the very life out of my slightly smaller friend Siru." Kenshin's voice was calm and reserved anger would only serve to dull his strikes and brake his will. He continued to maintain his state with the utmost control. "And no Jake, I don't think it would matter." Kenshin could feel the ki surgin through his stressed vains, he was trying to control the flow of blood issuing from his pressed lips, it was such a give away, he was controlling it, but with some difficulty, simply sustaining himself in this state was difficult enough, he would have to find something else besides his suroundings to boost his ki, despite his recent run in with the dragon , he called upon the fabled blade once more, controlling it with all his will. The surge of energy echoed through his weak and pale skin as he thought of his master's teaching. "Tamashii, students, is definately the most important characteristic of a trained ninpo practitioner. It is the will to perservere, to will away fear and anger, to set one's mind on your task and achieve it to the best of one's abilities, no matter what the circumstances. The warrior spirit, it is alive in all of us, it's finding it that's the key." Kenshin's determination grew, he once again changed the position of the ebon veil so he wouldn't show himself within it, he had to keep controlling the bleeding.

Hinakuras ears flickered hearing one of the many words she hated to be called and Jacob said one of them. Sure it was a complement kind of but thats hinakura for you a short fused that doesn't go out easily "Cutey? Cutey?!? are you calling me weak or are you just stupid" she hissed her ears flattened making it clear that she might jump Jacob but she stayed clam on this she wasn't going to waist her time on this guy no she was after another guy and she was going to make his life hell.
She ignored Kenshin for the moment because of his motivation speech thing that was going on she glanced over to one of the green rabbits what couldn't be seen but she knew it was there. all of them flattened to the ground and ears back each of them in a defensive position considering an attack. If a rabbit is about to attack its body will upright and its tail will be stretched. It may also lay its ears towards the back of its head.
Hinakura ingroed Kenshin still
((sorry if I over do rabbit talk... I can't help it))
