Training to take the edge off . . .; (Nayama, any of Seth's friends)

Seth was under a little more stress than usual, at the moment. Aside from the usual stress that seems to plague young people for no apparent reason, there was also the incredible amount of bad experiences at NC, followed by the fact that he was now engaged to Josa, and also the fact that he was to be the father of two girls in the very near future. Which was just a bit of a mental burden. Especially since it had all happened in the past year or two, and Seth had only recently turned 20. Aside from the depression that usually hit on a regular basis however, Seth hadn't changed much. Appearance was different of course, he was covered in scars from virtually everything imaginable, but his personality was very much the same. He still loved fighting, and he still loved to relieve stress and vent frustration the same way: training and fighting.

Since very few students at AHS were foolhardy enough to rush in and fight him nowadays, he usually had to train by himself. There were stronger fighters out there of course, he'd been beaten down on more than one occasion, but even those fighters had left the campus. Seth had checked to see if any of the gravity chambers were available, but they were all in use, as was the gym and weight room. Apparently there were quite a few people at the school that had vowed to get into better shape as a new year's resolution, and wanted to get as early a start as possible.

So, Seth was once again training by himself. He opted for the meadow, as hopefully there wouldn't be too many interruptions. After all, not only was it cold out with a few inches of snow on the ground, but it was also way too early in the morning for anyone in their right mind to be outside; and especially dressed the way Seth was. Shirtless, and wearing just a simple pair of black jeans and steeltoe boots. He sat cross-legged in the meadow, having cleared some of the snow out of the way so he wouldn't freeze to death, and the four 'spider-legs' that were shorter and more suitable for combat had emerged from his back. However, Seth remained motionless, and instead moved each of the 'legs' about while his eyes were closed. The reason was he was trying to become better at using the spikes to sense his surroundings, since sight could only get a person so far. The tips of the spikes had to be made incredibly sensitive, but so far it was working. He could feel the cold from the snow, and figure out which way the slight breeze was blowing at any given point in time. The 'legs' were constantly moving about, with the exception of one that simply rested with the tip on the ground. This was to pick up movement on the ground itself, and thankfully Seth had been able to do this for a while and was only working on fine-tuning it by trying to distinguish different weights instead of simply movement.

Overall, it was a rather strange sight, and it was almost impossible to tell that Seth was already bored out of his mind with this particular type of training . . . he missed his sparring matches . . .

(Gah >< . . . posting sucks when you're tired and sick at the same time ><))

(((ooc sorry it took so long, I've been really busy! ooc)))

Nayama stood silently just inside the edge of the forest, her demon aura seemingly gone as she waited for the forest demons to come at her. Her eyes were closed and her silver hair was tied back. She was just as crazy as Seth, if not more crazy, wearing her black tank top that had be worn and ripped so many times that she had just ripped the battered bottom of it off so when she wore it, her midrif would show slightly, and thin black pants that had also been ripped on the knees and lower thighs, and around her calfs. She wasn't wearing any shoes and her usual innocent, childish face was cold and patient.

Her eyes opened suddenly, sensing two things: Demons, and Seth! She turned around to face the meadow as demon began racing out of trees to destroy Nayama. Her face was now bright and happy, now that she knew that someone she knew was close by. She began to walk from the forest, the demons running after her. One of them growled and roared, catching Nayama's attention. She turned back angrily, "Go away, demon! I have no time for you." She lifted her hand as all four of the elements she controled blasted from around her and destroyed every demon in sight. The crystal under her shirt even began to glow as she used the element of earth. As she turned to keep walking, the crystal ceased to glow.

"Se~eth!" She called as she ran toward the boy sitting shirtless in the middle of the snow, "Onii-chan! Merry Christmas, happy new years!" She ran at him and jumped at him like a dog would jump at it's master.

(( Don't worry about it, I can understand ^-^ ))

Seth actually picked up on the activity behind him, but didn't waste his time trying to intervene. Nayama could take care of herself, and besides; he was busy seeing just how well he could follow what was happening without having to turn and look. The spike touching the ground behind him picked up on the explosion, and then on Nayama's footsteps as she walked towards him.

"Onii-chan! Merry Christmas, happy new years!"

"It did have it's pleasant moments, yes. Josa did agree to marry me after all, and our daughters are due any time now. Thankfully I'm not limited to the average human lifespan anymore as well, Josa saw to that a few months ago when I was at another campus. Not a very pleasant one, but we did meet there, so it can't be all bad . . . " Seth replied calmly, quickly turning the 'legs' to face away from Nayama as a safety precaution. Not only because he'd made the spikes extremely sensitive, but because the last thing he needed right now was for Nayama to get hurt. "Happy new year to you as well, Nayama. Anything of importance happen while I was away from AHS, or did all the trouble follow me to the other campus? By the way, I didn't miss Alter's wedding, did I?"

(( Work probably killed about half my brain cells today, so this is the best post I can turn out right now ^^" ))

Naturally slow and airheaded because of her innocent nature, Nayama caught bits and pieces of what Seth said, she was just so excited to see him.

Josa did agree to marry me after all, and our daughters are due any time now.

Nayama giggled, "Wow, that was fast, onii-chan! I'll try and be there when they're born, I bet they'll be so cute!!!!"

Anything of importance happen while I was away from AHS, or did all the trouble follow me to the other campus?

"Prolly the ladder, nothing's really been happenin', but of course, I just came back from the makai myself, so I'm not sure about the things around campus." She explained, trying to remember what other people told her about what happened.

By the way, I didn't miss Alter's wedding, did I?

Nayama looked a little sad at this, "No, in fact, Alter hasn't seen Maur for a long time. I actually haven't seen Alter-onee-chan for a while either, I've been worried about them."
