(ooc- ok, I have no idea what her Manager’s name is so I’m making it up for possibly like… the third time.) Shizuka was so dead tired, having just gotten off the plane from Hokkaido on her first concert tour. Luckily her manager had a meeting to attend and could only drop her off in front of the school. She dragged her suitcase across the yard and flopped down on the nearest bench. “Takahashi-san lied,” she sniffed, “he promised me I’d get my five days off! I was about to go on my first date with Sage-san too.” Date… Is that what they’d call it? They weren’t officially dating yet. Shizuka giggled at the thought. So there was a normal girl side of her after all, which was what she had always wanted, experiencing the life of a normal girl. But right at that moment when she was imagining going to an amusement park with Sage, a large angry Takahashi-san appeared in her mind, blocking her short daydream. ’Wait…’ How can she go out with someone if she’s already a pop idol? There was no way her manager would allow it. But she didn’t want to give up her dream either. She sighed. Every time she came back, she feels like the gap in between her and Sage widened. She wanted to know more about him, and just be near him, but even having gathered some courage to talk to him again after the confession, it was hard with her schedule constantly changing. Shizuka wondered if she can even graduate at this rate. But she had more to worry about at the moment from the news she heard after her last concert. Her grandfather, Mr. Otokaze will be flying back to Japan very soon, and is apparently holding some sort of a formal party at his mansion. Shizuka had received an invitation to said party, and her parents had told her that the decision is up to her. How’s this bad news? Well, Mr. Otokaze isn’t exactly fond of metas. He believed in the old and traditional, and was very much against his son’s marriage with a meta. When he heard of Shizuka’s killing, he immediately broke all connections with his son, disowning him. So why would he suddenly decide to invite Shizuka to such an important party? Shizuka couldn’t figure it out either. And the only way to figure it out is to attend it. She reached into the back of her jean pocket and pulled out the invitation, re-reading it out loud, “… you are more than welcomed to bring a friend along…” “A friend, huh…?” |

At the moment that Takahashi-san was departing the school grounds, a familiar-looking blue Corvette was just turning onto the grounds. Sage had hust returned after sending off a couple belated holiday gifts to some family living in both the US and the UK when he passed the other car. But when he realized who it was driving, he slammed on the brakes. That was Shizu's manager just now, there couldn't be any doubt about that. So if he was leaving, that had to mean... He didn't even finish that thought, instead he sped the rest of the way into the parking lot and parked into one of the empty spots before jumping out of the car. Pushing and shoving his way through some of the crowds of students, he stopped moving just as he reached the courtyard, and looked straight ahead at one of the benches that were strawn around the place. There she was, just sitting there reading something in her hands, and facing the opposite way from where he was standing. Sage didn't even know what to think at that moment, as he was starting to remember what happened between them that last time. Even after she had to leave for her promotional tour, Sage kept remembering what had happened just beforehand, when she finally said how she felt about him, and when she had heard his feelings towards her. Deep down, he regretted not being able to take her out to the amusement park though. Hell, after she left, he didn't even feel like going himself, so he just went back to his hotel room. But now, this might be the chance he needed to finally spend some time alone with her, and hopefully start making sense out of what happened. So after making sure his nerves weren't shot, he walked over and stood right behind Shizu before speaking again. "Hey, anyone else sitting there love?" Before she could even react, Sage had put a hand onto the back of the bench and jumped over it, to where he was sitting right beside Shizu. He was at a suitable distance of course, but he still landed to where he was sitting down correctly. He also didn't look at what she was looking at, as he didn't want to be just some peeking tom or something. If it was important to him, she would tell him sooner or later, was what he thought. "Long time no see, eh love....?" |

"Hey, anyone else sitting there love?" Shizuka jumped and let out a small "kyaa!" She was so occupied with the invitation, she didn't even notice anyone behind her. "Sage-san!" Well that was a surprise. Given how big the school is, she didn't expect to see him at all. "Long time no see, eh love....?" Shizuka forced a smile and nodded. "How have you been?" That was weak. There was so much more she wanted to say to him, but she couldn't help thinking about her grandfather's invitation at the same time. She was too easy to read, there was obviously something on her mind. It wasn't that she isn't happy to see Sage, but she just couldn't figure out why now? Was it because she's now somewhat famous that he'd acknowledge her? If so, perhaps she can make him accept her mother too. She wanted to know so bad, but she also doesn't have the courage to do it alone. What if he rejects her? "A-ano! Sage-san!" Shizuka turned around to face Sage so suddenly that their noses almost touched. For once she wasn't concerned about how close she is to him. "Are you free this Saturday?" |

"Me? Oh, I've been good. At least, a lot better then that one time you saw me in the gym. Haven't had to push myself so hard since I got word that my demonstration got delayed." It was a bit unsettling to Sage though, he was all set to go back to Wales when he got word that his sensei had come down with a major illness, and couldn't perform the duties of the school for a good 6 months. But now, he only has about two months to go, then he can finally head back. For now however, he decided to take some time and relax more, even finish off his last year of school with hopefully good marks in his last classes, even take some time to get to know Shizu better. But as he sat there, he could tell that the smile that she gave him was forced. It could have only been caused by what was in that lettter she was reading, though it could have been speculation as well. But it was still good to see Shizu back around campus again. He thought that the tour she was on would have had her away from the school longer then it had already taken. But it wasn't a bad thing that he was thinking thoughts like that, the time apart gave him time to think about things. Before he could say those things though, Shizu was up close to his face, so close that all he had to do was lean in just a hair and he'd be liplocked with her. It didn't feel uncomfortable, it just caught him off guard for a moment there. "A-ano! Sage-san! Are you free this Saturday?" "Huh? Am I free? Well, I don't really have much planned on the weekends, so yeah, I should be. Why, what's up love?" |

"Huh? Am I free? Well, I don't really have much planned on the weekends, so yeah, I should be. Why, what's up love?" "Well..." Shizuka started off, turning her body back and trailing her eyes to the grass in front of them. "It's a bit complicated... But... My grandfather, on my dad's side, used to be a general and worked for government. He's retired now of course, but he still has a lot of connections with politicians and such. And... well, I don't know him that well so that's all I can tell you about him." She paused hesitantly before continuing. "He, um, sent me an invitation to attend his party on Saturday night, and it says I can bring a friend... And I was wondering if... you could accompany me too." Would that be a wise idea though? To bring another meta to her grandfather's mansion? If her grandfather hated metas, there could be a chance that he's up to no good. But of course, Shizuka wasn't aware of this, otherwise she would've never let Sage know or invite him either. Deep down, she was willing to forgive her grandfather whether or not he would accept her, she really wanted to give him a second chance. |

Complicated was never a good way to begin a conversation. If he could ever help it, Sage never liked to start talking with anyone on a down note, but he could also tell that what Shizu had to say must have been serious. Fortunately for him, it just sounded like she wanted him to meet a member of her family. Even though she barely knew him herself, she may have wanted someone that she knew well enough with her, perhaps for moral support. "Sure love, that's no problem. Guess I have to dig out the penguin suit or something nice for this event, don't I?" Yeah, Sage had a tuxedo alright, he just never liked to wear it if he could help it. Besides it feeling uncomfortable, he could barely keep anything inside it. That was probably why he liked his normal blazer more, now that he thought about it. But this was good in a way. After all, his parents like her, and are still asking how she's doing on occation. Perhaps this was his chance to make a good impression as well. "Hey, now that I think about it, I guess... it's a date. A real one at that." |

"Sure love, that's no problem. Guess I have to dig out the penguin suit or something nice for this event, don't I?" Shizu chuckled. Indeed when she was little and attended such formal parties, she thought most of the men there looked like penguins. "Thank you, Sage-san! I probably wouldn't go if no one would go with me. I'm sorry to drag you into this though..." "Hey, now that I think about it, I guess... it's a date. A real one at that." Her face flushed when she finally realized that she had just asked Sage out on a date, sort of. She wondered when if she'll ever get used to Sage and stop blushing for once. Funny how little things he say can make someone who's not afraid to sing in front of thousands of people feel so nervous. She waved her hands in the air, "I-I didn't mean it that way! I mean, yes, but no! I-" Did she just ask him out? It seems like she’s constantly surprising herself at how daring she is, though she really hadn’t think of the invitation as a date until Sage mentioned it, but it might be better that way anyway. And now that she thought about it, what will she wear to the ball?! "Sage-san!" Shizu's face became serious all of a sudden, as if her little nervous break down just now had never happened, "what's your favorite color?" |

'I'm sorry to drag you into this though..." "Oh no, don't worry about it love. Way I figure it, I get to see what a night in the life of a famous singer is like..." That's not what he really wanted to say though. Sage really wanted to say that he didn't mind going as long as he was with her. But he just couldn't get the words out of his mouth. Was it nerves, or fear... he couldn't tell. But like how Shizu continously had her face flushed whenever she was around her, Sage kept getting whaever he wanted to say crossed. He could defend others, he could keep up with the best of them... but for some reason, it was this one young woman that was his weakness. Maybe... just maybe.... he thought. Perhaps, he was seeling what Shizu had felt before in the gym. His face wasn't flushed, but he could feel his heart racing when he realized that they were going out together... no manager, or friends to get inbetween them. In fact, he was spaced out for a moment until he saw Shizu's face change from her normal look to this extremely serious one, and it snapped him from the daze he was in. "Sage-san! What's your favorite color?" "Huh? Oh.. um... I'd have to say that I'm quite partial to red myself. Why?" |

"Oh no, don't worry about it love. Way I figure it, I get to see what a night in the life of a famous singer is like..." Shizuka forced another smile, even though this time it looked real. '... was that it?' Shizuka trusts Sage no doubt, but was that the reason he is close to her? Because of her fame? "There's really not much of a life for a singer like me," she responded, whispering a quiet, "especially someone who has a bad record," to herself. Speaking of which, she has still yet to tell Sage. But how? I mean, she couldn't possibly just go up to him and go, "hey Sage, guess what? I killed four people before!" What would he think?! Shizuka shook her head. No, she can't... For someone who's practically a murderer, she is not suitable for Sage. She doesn't deserve it... She knew perfectly well in her heart, but perhaps for now, she can still dream... "Huh? Oh.. um... I'd have to say that I'm quite partial to red myself. Why?" The idol giggled, giving him the "you'll have to wait and see" look. "It's a secret!" She placed her finger on her lips. Standing up, she dusted her dress off and took the handle on her suitcase. "So I guess I'll see you on Saturday night then? How about I pick you up at 6:00?" That would normally sound extremely odd coming out from a girl's mouth, and it was too late when Shizuka realized it too. (=_=;;)'Wait... something sounds wrong here...' |

Actually, Sage was about to answer her little comment, when it dawned on him how strange it sounded. Isn't it usually the guy saying that to his date, instead of this case of vice versa? Realizing that his mouth was just agape from what he heard, he coughed a little to make it look like he meant to do that, then scratched his head as he tried to think of something to say to break the ice. Instead of speaking though, he chuckled a little over what had happened instead. Hopefully it would serve to show that he was at least being a good sport about all of this. "How about this love? I know where your place is now, only cause I pass by it quite a bit. So why don't I meet you there at 6, and I promise I won't be a minute late." Shizu had one thing going for her this time. Sage didn't notice when she was speaking to herself for that brief moment. He was thinking more of this first actual date of theirs. And since he would be in her element, he wanted to make sure he didn't mess this up. After all, he did want to look forward to a second date. ooc: Wow, this is short... |
