The first starting, the very first practice and the very first band by the name of the Edds of Symphony appeared on the scene at last. Dragging into the theater came Gato, the visionary and the person that wanted this band so badly. It’s the horrible sight of him showing up late. It was a slow morning. Come on, he’s not going to be on edge and on point every single day. As music and money hungry as he seemed to be he did fall short sometimes as well. The reason why he was so late this evening was because he didn’t seem to want to wake up from his nightly slumber.

The plan was to sneak in the gym after hours without permission thanks to an open door, Takeda’s idea, and then, the rest of the band would show up later on. The agreement was for everyone to meet in the auditorium at midnight but nothing seems to go quite right with a band like this. Let’s be honest, they didn’t agree from the start. You have a puppeteer for a guitarist, a half crazy, vampire looking, rude and arrogant energymancer, a girl who looked like a super model gone super star singer and a bear guy who didn’t even show up because he hadn’t even gotten to the school yet. Oh well, things were going to get interesting with this strange combination. Perhaps people will appreciate their differences and see them for the unique band that they are. Or maybe the variances will be the Edds’ downfall.

Gato set up the stage equipment. He brought in ol’ Josie, his guitar and placed her on a small stand. That instrument meant more to him than life itself. If anyone bothered it he wouldn’t stop at nothing to make sure that either their lives became a living hell or he just killed them. As a matter of fact, he didn’t give a care about how any of the other props looked on stage; he only cared about his baby Josie. If no one liked how he had everything set up then, as far as he was concerned, they could go to hell. He believed that his guitar could make or break some of the songs. Yeah, that sounds self-centered and selfish but since he did write most of the songs that this song would use then of course it’d make sense for him to be like this. He wrote the songs to fit his style in a sense.

He took a seat in the middle of the stage and waited for everyone to show up. While doing so he thought of the ways the band could reach the top. He had this in mind when he dressed himself up this morning. If he wanted to be in a rock band and have success then he might as well dress like a rocker. That’s why he wore a white suit jacket, white pants, a velvet colored shirt with the band’s “Triple E” logo in the middle of it in yellow and white, dress styled shoes. Gato asked for everyone else to wear something white and dressy. The band, in his opinion, should dress uniformly and in a lighter gothic type of way. He didn’t like all black all the time but, instead, something more modest. Not everyone was into the whole “vampiric” look so, to make amends for that, Gato wanted something more sensible to please the future fans.

His mind traveled to the fact that Takeda wasn’t all that great of a bass guitarist but good enough to put the band on the map. Henry wasn’t the best drummer in the world but his hip hop motivation and his ability to make great beats from both the rap and rock world would be a great combination with the soulful voice of Sarah. However, surprisingly, he based most of the criticism on himself. He believed that he would be the one to hold the Edds back from major success. Gato’s just too stuck in his ways of rock and not converting to anything. Although, the whole reason for putting this band together was to help him diversify and understand that music is music rather you prefer the genre or not.

The theater lights shined down heavily upon Gato and the thought of a live audience of all his peers went deeply into his mind. The energy stealer closed his eyes and pictured the whole school looking at the stage while he and his possy performed a new hit single, the press were squirming about, the people were all happy, record deals flew at the Edds left and right and the fame started pouring in even faster than the money. This is a selfish dream but an understandable one.

Sarah made her friend Ajandre come with her to the band meeting. She didn’t know how crazy these people were so she brought her friend for protecting also because they had not hung out in such a long time. Also she knew Gato and Ajandre were perfect like each other.

Ajandre was the prettier one of the two. Even after Sarah’s becoming a nymph she was the prettier one in the eyes of most guys. Sarah just was pretty when you first looked at her than you would notice her pointy ears.

The two girls walked into the Auditorium and Ajandre sat down in the first row without saying anything to the boy who was on the stage. Sarah on the other hand walked on the stage. Saying nothing to Gato she just watched him set everything up. She knew it was better not to talk to him.

Ajandre insisted upon wearing tight leather skirts and halter tops to the meeting. Sarah reluctantly agreed with her. She knew that what her and Aja where wearing was way over the top. It didn’t matter though, it looked good on them.

It was rather strange how he had been 'recruited' into this band. Takeda had been wearing a long black Trenchcoat he had just aquired along with the gloves that seemed to be a norm for him to wear nowadays. A decent sum of money had been put into both his guitar and his lessons, though in his mind merely having the former was more important than taking the lessons. He had a natural skill with a guitar, though because he skipped out on a lot of the lessons he was not properly educated in the use of his instrument. Though if he heard a tune he could usually copy it no problem. That's why he was added onto the group...or so he assumed. One day he met a guy as he walked along the field, playing around with his toy. They talked for a bit and it seemed as though the guy needed a bass player. He didn't wish to jump right in and join, but the guy was so excited that he asked him for a place they could meet and then told him when to be there. Without another word the guy left him speechless.

Now here he was...a bit reluctant to go, since he never actually agreed to this. Though who knows...it could be fun. Well thats what he thought at least. Moving inside, wearing his long black trenchcoat same as before and a large case was carried by a handle beside him, which obviously contained his instrument. Takeda saw the fellow from before and stepped up behind him. "Hey there...well....I'm here! I just figured you would want to know that myself and the two girls over there," his thumb pointing behind him at them. "...are here. Anyone else you are expecting?"

Gato frwned, he wasn't too proud that Sarah showed up but he did realize that she had talent. He was even more angry when she refused to speak to him as if he didn't exist or something. Now, these two obviously didn't hit it off too well but the rivalry between them may just help the band soar to new heights. Sarah believed that she had to perform at her best just to impress everyone and to show the world that her pretty looks isn't the talent that he has; it's her voice. On the other hand, Gato wanted to prove to her that he had more talent than her any day of the week. The rivals could use their musical hatred for each other to actually improve the Edds' performance. Especially if they're both performing at peak efficiency just to prove a point.

"We are missing our percussionist. Henry will show up soon enough. Don't worry about him. Then again, anyone can play drums if you have the nerve to. I have my own drum set; I keep instruments around. But anyways, we have to get this practice started rather Henry is here or not. The first order of business is revealing to everyone our name. After much deliberation, I found that the name 'The Edds of Symphony' to be, by far, the best name for us. I wanted to call us the Edds and someone wanted to call us the Bards of Symphony. So, I just combined the names and you have what I just told you about. Alright, the first part is over, " Gato said.

"Takeda, we'll need you to play bass exceptionally well because for some of the songs we’ve added some spice and flavor. And that’s another part I wanted to get across to everyone; the genre that we play. DO NOT believe that this is going to be strictly rock and roll because it simply won’t be. We’re pushing a completely different genre; inter-mixing. We need to diversify, get away from being all rock and no play and add some R&B stuff, perhaps some hip hop and maybe some jazz. Everyone’s like, ‘don’t try to add any hip hop beats to your music because a lot of people don’t like it’ well some people need to grow up and face the fact that music is music. There’s only 12 notes that you can possibly play and each those notes, in terms of beats, rock and roll uses, country western, jazz, reggae and so on and so forth. My point is that rappers, when making their beats, use the same notes that rock uses. So, in truth, rock and rap is the same music; that’s irrefutable and it’s the truth. We can’t sit around and worry about if people don’t like our music. People said that they didn’t like Kanye West at first but that’s funny because he’s one of the most well known entertainers on the face of this planet. See, people told him the same thing; that rap isn’t good and you shouldn’t use it for a marketing gimmick. However, what did he start off in doing? Making beats for other artists. Everyone said that his beats wouldn’t go anywhere because everyone’s going to rock and roll. I wish I could see all those people now so I can call them fools right to their faces. Not only has Kanye gotten grammys for his work but he’s regarded as one of the best artists to ever come out with a CD,” Gato declared.

“So, we have to get some music that isn’t just for rock music fans. It’s just common sense that not everyone in the school or beyond the school will like rock and roll. So, let’s just keep that mind. For example, today, we’re going to work on some beats that aren’t traditional to rock and roll in a heavy metal sense. Trust me, this isn’t easy for me to do because I’m used to playing heavy songs and using my guitar in such a way that I don’t have to play much notes; it’s the same thing over and over again. With these new waves of beats, it’s going to take some getting used to by me, possibly you guys and definitely for the band once we get to playing together,” Gato went on to explain.

He pulled out a folded up piece of paper from his pocket, stood up and started to walk off the stage. Gato walked over to Sarah and handed it to her. It was the lyrics to a new song. Gato had some pretty good handwriting so it was understandable and especially with black ink. The song was named “The Sad, Sad Mariachi.” It called for a pianist to play a beginning key set in a Mexican styled beat ; Gato’s favorite. If the notes for the guitar, electric and bass, were read correctly, they were going to be played in a blues styled beat. And with the soulful voice of Sarah, this was going to be a pretty good song when played. However, that all depended on if Gato and Sarah could keep up the rivalry.

The song went on like this:

“You gravel at destruction
You try to ease the rain
You reset my buttons
That’s when the madness came
You’re going to be the
Reason I fail
You gave me the worst storm
And then came the hail
I didn’t understand it now
The future can tell

I don’t get why you had to
Make me

Crrrrrrryyyy (Held and drawn up. Keep that in mind Sarah. We need for this song to be a sad one), Crrrrrrryyyy, Crrrrrrryyyy

Then all I could beg and ask you
Was just the question

Whhhhhhyyyy (Same), Whhhhhhyyyy, Whhhhhhyyyy, why and why again

Don’t fear me now
Now that we’re over
We can’t be together; be friends
But we are still closer
To our petty reasons
We match in the months
But our love last for seasons
Let’s break away ourselves
Break away feelings
I wish we were both someone else
My heart’s tired of crying
My body’s sick of longing
I felt the thunder, but never the lightning

Now I’m suffering because
Of the senseless

Liiiiiieeeee (Same), Liiiiiieeeee, Liiiiiieeeee

This is so pointless to live through
That I wish I’d just

Diiiiiiiieeee (Same), Diiiiiiiieeee, Diiiiiiiieeee, die and die again

Death’s the answer when ya got no where to go
We’re just singing Mariachi; puppets of love
So what do we know? (This verse I’ll sing; a sort of comical addiction)
We know what sad people are when we see them
We avoid their mistakes
So we won’t be ‘em
We’re just sitting here, singing the blues
Just sitting here finding all the tragic criers
And the sentimental fools
Listen to our song
Or we’ll end up singing a song
That’s all about you"

It wasn't uncommon to find her walking through the hallways after hours. Well, for one to have insomnia, and not take her medication, it was probable. Her little, silver sequined flats tip-tapped softly against the floor as she continued on her way through the emptycorridors. She wore a pair of skinny jeans and her camo jacket with furr trimming around the hood.

So she thought about heading to the student underground, maybe for a little margarita. But she declined her thoughts. What's it matter anyway, im alone alone in this stupid god forsaken school. Having a drink by yourself would make you look pathetic, Noah. Her hair was newly dyed to a more strawberry blonde type of hue, with dark brown hair lined around the nape of her neck. She slowly walked down the hallway near the auditorium. Noah swore she heard voices coming from inside. Students Awake? but...why now? Her tiny feet lead her to the door and she leaned up against the side of the door with her ear on the hallow wooden door. There were definatly voices, of other students. A girl, and a couple of other voices, sounding like boys. Her hand graced the handle contemplateing on whether or not to open it and see what was going on. Something told her she should do it. Noah couldn't exactly place her finger on it but she felt she had to.
I'm in the back so if anyone notices me, from up front, I can easily make a run for it</I?> ,She thought. Quietly, she turned the handle and slid inside. She saw a stage with intruments set up and what seemed like a band gathering around for some midnight practicing. Facinated at the feat, She huddled over to a nearby seat and sat down taking off her coat. They all were dressed in white uniform, looking reluctantly modest, though one of them didn't exactly fit the part. He had hair blacker then a raven's feathers, and skin so pale, it looked like snow. Her sharp, piercingly blue eyes scanned his facial features, wondering what role he played in the group. He ran over to the girl and gave her a wad of paper from his pocket. A writer? Her thin eyebrows raised slighty as she leaned back hoping this little show might just make her day.

...cause god knows what'll happen tomorow
