Jack sat on a bar stool, waiting for Jacob. Hopefully this meeting would be more plesant than the previous ones. In other battles he had lost, he was limited to what he could have used. Here, at the nderground, he had not only a second person and a whole group of bouncers, but two heavily modified desert eagles with one UZI, two full auto berettas, and one sawed off shotgun with a five round ammo capacity. Seemed fair enough if they got into a fight. At least after seeing what he was capable of Jack figured he'd have the basics needed to even the odds. |

A letter on his locker. That was what had brought him to this hidden little corner of the school. The Underground was his usual haunt, the place that he retired to whenever Isabella was busy with her friends or one of the many clubs she had joined. Jacob wasn't entirely anti-social, he just didn't like most people in general, and they didn't like him. The club was thrumming with music, and there was a large assortment of students dancing. It was a nice crowded place to meet. You could have privacy even in the crowd with all of the distractions and noise. "You wanted to meet?" Jacob slid into place on the barstool to the left of Jack, his motions as fluid and natural as that of any predatory animal. He was wearing his normal black leather jacket, a dark purple shirt underneath that matched his eyes perfectly, and a pair of simple and well-worn black jeans. He wasn't carrying any weapons. |

Jack made a slight gesture with his left hand, he then pushed a bottle across the bar so that it stopped in front of Jacob. "Have some Bloodhounds blood beer, it's good..." He said with a slight smile as he sat up straight. "...my treat." He then looked over towards Jacob for a second, the back to the bottle of beer in front of him. The fellow he had wanted to meet for so long was here and sitting next to him. That was good to some extent. It meant he didn't have any grudges that were long lasting. "I think we got off on the wrong step, although it seems you don't really approve of my preferances, same goes toward you as well, so maybe we can sort these little problems out before it beomes any worse..." He then grabbed the bottle in front of him and took a short sip from it. Off in the corner behind the bar a TV was currently broadcasting the accidental explosion of an FFP reactor derrick off the coast of oregon. It didn't seem to interest Jack for now. More of his attention was focused on Jacob's reply. Even though he noticed that Jacob was unarmed though, getting into a fight here wouldn't benefit either of them. Too many people, even worse the only advantage Jack had were based on technology and training. If he operated corectly, he would be able to get out with three of his limbs intact... |

Jacob eyed the beer, his right hand moving to take the cold glass bottle and pass it to the person beside him. He used the same hand to motion to the bartender, ordering a glass of vodka without ice. He took a long sip from the glass, enjoying the slight burning sensation as it went down before turning his attention back to Jack. "Or we could just stay out of each other’s way." |

"Might not work that easy, you see..." Jack pulled out two thin black blacks that could fit in his hand. He then placed both apart from eachother. "...the saying goes, Negatives attract..." Upon releasing both, the magnets stuck together. "...so with us, it might be harder to do that then you think" He then placed the two magnets in his pocket. "After seeing some of the things you do, you wouldn't believe how many times I've wanted to put a bullet in your skull, yet held back. It wouldn't have been hard either..." Jack turned to look towards Jacob. "...if we were to try to stay away from eachother things would eventually get out of control, that's why I want to solve this little onflict." |

"It's a good thing you held back. I'm quite certain that the principle would have to add a charge of murder to your personal record. That sort of thing can really hold you back in life." Jacob rolled his eyes at Jack before turning his head away from him. He wasn't in the mood for this sort of bullshit, not tonight. "I'm not a god damned magnet, you idiot." Jacob rolled the glass around on its bottom, the sound of glass against wood sounding out through the air. He raised the glass once again to take another long drawl from its contents before setting it back down. |

"But as long as we have physics being a major thing in our lives, we slowly begin to adapt to match them. Just the fact that we've come here, that you've come, is enough to prove that it'll be hard to avoid each other. As for what might hppen, I can't exactly say. Usually abilities even up with some kind of weakness, but speed versus will, it doesn't work out too well, especially when strength is put behind the will. On a side note, have you heard anything of the FFP reactor derrick that had exploded eight days ago? Seems like something you'd be interested in..." Calmly Jack took another sip from his drink. It was as good as he remembered it to be, and thankfully it's effects had managed to drop within a day. "And be easy on the insults, doing such only makes you look like a fool if it isn't having it's desired effect..." |

"I have far better things to worry about, Jack." Jacob sighed softly to himself, a sound of pure exasperation that uncurled sleepily from his pale, red lips. His body language was tired, and his face seemed to stay in a state of practiced disinterest. He right pointer finger tapped the side of his cold glass in a continuous idle motion, his lavender eyes fixed ahead the entire time. "I don't want to fight with you. I don't even want to know you. I'll leave you alone if you leave me alone. If you get in my way, I'll make certain that you lose far more than just an arm." Jacob's eyes flicked over to meet Jack, those amethyst spheres completely unreadable in the low light. "Do you doubt my words?" |

"Really, we need to get to know each other better, otherwise, we'll kill eachother..." Jack's eyes met ith Jacobs. Although when in front of others, he was as friendly as he could possibly be, but...now he lacked any emotion, his eyes lacked the friendly feel that others saw. "Killing, hurting, shooting, is that all I've managed to learn about you? I haven't seen one good thing about you yet..." Jack said with a slight chuckle. "Again, you are only proving my point, stop, think out what you're saying, before you end up reaching for my throat..." Jack reached up and grabbed the tag that was attached to his collar. Looking down at it he smiled a little. |

Jacob went back to playing with his glass, concentrating on it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. He could feel the cold, wet beads of condensation that leaked down its sides, making it slippery to the touch. He drew it up to his mouth and finished off the last bit of the drink, his eyes shutting for a single brief instant as he felt that pleasurable burning sensation as it went down. Jacob didn't really understand what Jack's problem was. As far as he could see there was no situation or call for greater understanding. Jacob was who he was, and he didn't think that there was much that either of them could say to eleieviate Jack's misgivings about his personal character. The music thrummed and beat at the air like a living thing, and the students on the dance floor moved and swayed with its pulse. The sight of all those people packed together would only serve to make him hungry, so he avoided looking at them in the first place. "Jack, you don't want to know me. This isn't about being anti-social, nor is it about self-pity. I'm not ever going to be your friend, and you’re not useful enough to me to be worth knowing." Jacob slowly turned towards Jack, his lavender eyes sharper than the edge of a razor blade as he watched him with care. "We don't need to be enemies, but was also don't need to be friends..." |

"I suppose that isn't an insult either..." Jack said as he looked towards Mike the bar tender. "It's not my interests I'm only worried about Jacob, there are other people who come to this school. I'm a caring person and when I see others getting hurt, it hurts me as well. No doubt...." Jack stopped and took another sip of the beer sitting in front of him. "...that after what I've seen, there are some people that you do hurt." Jack carefully placed the bottle on the index finger of his left hand and twisted the bottle so that it performed a spin, remaining balanced on the finger. "Get down so I don't have to tell the school staff I didn't push you off the roof, remember that?" Jack asked as his gaze drifted back towards Jacob. |

Jacob blinked for a moment, all of his hard earned disinterest and cold attitude washed away by that sudden and comical gesture. He even managed a soft laugh, although it wasn't really meant to be a friendly or lighthearted outburst. "What I meant was that you should get down, because if you fell like and idiot and spilled your brains out across the ground, I really didn't want to have to bother telling the school faculty that I didn't shove you off the roof." Jacob smirked to himself, a little twist at the right corner of his lips. "If seeing other people being hurt really harms you so, I would be more than happy to include you next time." |

Mike carefully placed a small cup of ramen noodles in front of Jack, who in turn placed the proper pay with a small tip next to it. Mike gave Jack a quick nod and accepted the tip, then returned to his usual business. "And once more you prove my point, Jacob, I really hate to see people hurt. Even if it's you, I'll still feel every punch, kick, and stab. I dunno, I think it's some sort of Extreme type of empathy for others. And not that empathy that allows you to heal and stuff, I'm plenty lacking that..." Jack said as he began stirring his chopsticks in the soup. "Another interesting fact, if you haven't noticed, but people cloe to you get hurt as well. People you hardly even know have a chance of getting hurt, I'm currently helping somebody with the same problem, and everything is going fine with that..." Jack slowly began eatng the noodles as he waited for a reply. |

"Well, good for you." Jacob reached into his jacket to withdraw a pack of cigarettes, giving the base of the red colored pack a hew gentle hits with the base of his left palm before removing a single coffin nail and slipping it between his slender, pale red lips. He placed the pack back inside his jacket and removed a fluid lighter with a shimmering stainless steel surface. Even in the low light of the underground the engravings on the front could just barely be made out. Get busy living, or get busy dying. Jacob lit the cigarette and snapped the metal lid shut with a flick of his wrist, sentencing the lighter back to its fabric confines as he let it fall back into his jacket. "I would rather you had shot me when I walked in, rather than having this pointless conversation." He took a long drag from the cigarette, enjoying the mild burning sensation that was so similar to that of the vodka he had drank earlier, and he let it out in a swirling river of gray that floated off into the air. "Goodbye, Jack." Jacob slipped off his barstool, his hands settling his clothes back into place. He removed the cigarette from his mouth and put it out in Jack's bowl of noodles. "Next time you get in touch with me, it better be for a good reason." With that he simply walked off, exiting out the main entrance without giving a single glance back. |

Jack made a slight grumble as Jacob left. "Great, thos noddles tasted good too...." Mike looked at him upon hearing Jack speak. Slowly Jack removed a large heavily modified desert eagle and lowered the hamer on the back of the gun back into it's original position before the meeting. "Couldn't do it?" Mike asked as he removed he noodles from the bar. "Nah....he doesn't deserve death, it'd be too easy..." |
