Silver had felt like going deeper into the forest for some strange odd reason after her last encounter in the normal forest. She had left her dorms early in the afternoon wearing a short-sleeved shirt and long pants; both matched her hair color, dark purple. Silvermoon felt normal throughout her entire walk back into the woods, nothing was around to bother her, at least not yet. She planned to go to the darker forest; she had heard a rumor that powers were disabled within it. She chose to assume that it was true so she wouldn’t have a problem later if she had disbelieved them. For protection Silver had both her daggers, each in it’s own dark lavender sheath at her waist.

Silver stopped walking to test and see if she had entered the ‘Dark zone’ yet. As a test she attempted to form a compressed sphere of light, which unfortunately didn’t work… Silvermoon had apparently ventured beyond the normal forest. Silvermoon withdrew her daggers, prepared to use her agility and speed to fend off anything that would threaten her now. Although she didn’t know yet that powerful demons resided in the dark forest, and that their dark influence was what placed restrictions on students powers.

Silver stopped to listen; she had heard some movement a second before, now if seemed that it was getting closer to her. Silvermoon quickly turned around to face the direction of the sound; she had her daggers in front of herself, holding them in a defensive position. Suddenly from out of the shadows emerged a squirrel. Silver stood motionless, staring at the creature, which had caused her to become so defensive. Sighing, she relaxed her position and decided that perhaps it was time to take a break from walking…

(Demons roamed these woods... That was a matter of fact. They came through here, usually armed and waiting for delectable human flesh, because they knew that meta-humans could not use their powers here. They were weak. Well. Weaker. Certain things could not be disabled. But still, the idea was that they were an easier prey then. However, in the case of today, there was something slightly different... Demons were bring gutted and eating. Something fast and deadly was in the woods...and it squeaked. Silver knew nothing of this. It was farther away, out of earshot. No, you see, in HER range, she would here footsteps. An even gait. This caught the awareness of the squirrel and made it run off. Coming up on a careful approach, being sure not to make too much noise, was a solitary figure. And if Silver had suddenly turned to look, she would find, looking at her with a smile....Roy Taban.)

Roy: Hi.

(And behind him, a white fluffy rabbit with dark eyes, just sort of ambling in their direction.)

Silver still a little frustrated from the squirrel, and a little edgy from not having the power to do anything special. She started hearing footsteps again; these sounded far larger and were evenly placed. She turned again to face the footsteps, and held her weapons out front, one facing down, and the other horizontal, the hand of the horizontal blade held just above the hand of the other blade. To Silvers surprise Roy showed up, and he was smiling. Silver relaxed her position again and smiled back, “Alright, two questions Roy. Firstly what are you doing here in the forsaken land of demons, second, how did you find me… and thirdly I guess, were you here LOOKING for me?” She asked each question I smooth succession, pausing however just before the third. The simple word that Roy had used made Silver wonder if he had known she was here, and that he was searching her out…

Silver tilted her head a little to her right in thought while she awaited Roy’s response to her questions, personally wondering where the demons were. Also curious of their power, and of their capabilities…

“Alright, two questions Roy. Firstly, what are you doing here in the forsaken land of demons, second, how did you find me… and thirdly I guess, were you here LOOKING for me?”

(Roy leaned on a tree, not noticing the white bunny rabbit that was binkying by. He had his shotgun out, so he wasn't stupidly plodding around here. He was armed, same as her. His clothes were, as usual, quite casual. He had the hooded sweatshirt and probably another shirt underneath, along with dark-blue jeans and tennis shoes. His blue eyes seemed very alive today.)

Roy: I'm gonna have to answer those backwards, 'cause it makes more sense if I do.

(He held up a hand in the "three" position.)

Roy: Yes, I was looking for you.

("Two"...)

Roy: I used my senses up until I entered the Dark Forest, then I just kinda'...used my eyes.

(...and "one".)

Roy: I came in here primarily to ask you a question.

(He let all that sink in for a moment, hearing a strange squeak sound in the direction of where the rabbit went. He didn't see it right now, but it had clearly gone and done something. Reflexively, he tried to sense it, or check the astral plain. None of these would come to him right now. This forest had some reach. This was a shame, because, somewhere out of their line of sight, the bunny rabbit was eating the squirrel. It hadn't even had the chance to screech. The Vorpal Rabbit was on it in half a second. But not knowing this, Roy decided to continue.)

Roy: The school held a Winter Ball last year and they're doing it again. It's really open to anyone, not just students. I was kinda' wondering...would you care to join me there? My treat?

(He meant buying the tickets, especially since he didn't know what kind of money Silver carried around. This was a helluva place to be asking her out, though.)

OOC: Thought I'd add a little twist in here. Also, the Vorpal Rabbit is very much like the Dreaded Rabbit of Caerbannog in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and a personal favorite of certain evil beings.

(Ooc: Run away, run away ^_^ */beep\ bunny*)

Silver let that sink in, it was quite something, and Roy had come all the way to the center of his nightmares to ask her out to dance? It was a sudden shock to her, she had never been asked out before, nor had she ever danced... Well, she couldn't say no to Roy, "Of course I'll go with you..." she said, implanting a slight pause between the words 'course' and 'I'll' as well as saying everything after the pause somewhat slower, partially because she wasn't completely certain what to do.

Silver noticed movement from the corner of her eye; she turned almost instantaneously to face what appeared to be… a little white fluffy bunny… Silver shook her head again; both a squirrel and a rabbit had startled her now… Perhaps she was being overly cautious? Silvermoon was still quite edgy; she had yet to hear anything good coming from this desecrated area. With a sigh she turned her back to a tree to look at Roy again, the rabbit now located to her left a few yards off.

"Of course I'll go with you..."

(Success! Only...the way she agreed to it sounded like she was confused about what it was that she had agreed to. Well, this wasn't entirely unexpected by Roy, so he explained that it was basically like a formal party. Food, dancing, hanging out, and talking seemed to be what was primarily part of the repertoire. After explaining the nuances of the idea, Roy shrugged, smiling sheepishly, and said...)

Roy: I just thought we could do something together that didn't involve risking our lives.

(It was a matter of simple fact that Roy had had to deal with alot of painful things in the past. Because of that, he treasures the moments in his life where people are not persucuting him, trying to kill him, etc. After he talks, he notices the rabbit. The dark-eyed little critter is grinning at him. No, not grinning. It's bearing its teeth at him threateningly.)

Roy: Oh shit...

*Clink-clink!*

POW!!

(Roy immediately pointed his gun at the rabbit and fired, a shocked expression on his face. The rabbit had teeth that could tear a suit of armor to pieces in no time! He missed his shot as it suddenly leapt from tree to tree, lunging at him with a not-so-terrifying squeak. Its leaps were supernatural, however. Roy moved aside just in time and the rabbit tore a chunk out of the tree he'd been leaning on. It spat out the wood and bark, growling at him in plain view of Silver, revealing its horribly-sharp and bloody teeth.)

As soon as Silver heard Roy swear about something which was standing relatively close to her, or at least she assumed based on where the gun-shot was aimed. Silver reacted to the shot by jumping away from its path. She looked over at Roy wondering what the problem was, as he dodged the not-so-cute-anymore bunny as it took a bite out of the tree he had been leaning against. Silver was to say in the least, shocked to see such a thing happen… now of course she had a look at it’s evil growling jaws, big and bloody. This creature looked something like a cross between a hyena and a rabbit… Silver felt that it was something one might see in a movie…

Silvermoon still had her weapons drawn; even through them she could use her weaker powers. She concentrated on forming a sphere of light and hurling it at the rabbit, she drew her hand back behind her and threw foreword an abyss of nothingness… She had forgotten that student’s powers could not work in here… Feeling somewhat idiotic, Silvermoon stepped foreword and kicked at the rabbit, which easily dodged it. It retaliated by attempting to bite its aggressor. Silver had stepped away quickly to avoid such a thing, as she didn’t feel like becoming demonic rabbit chow.

Thus a fight began between Silver and the rabbit. Silvermoon was far smarter then the beast, and she was highly agile. However, the beast was faster and far more agile then she was, and it was stronger. Silver jumped back against a tree and propelled herself foreword, landing smoothly on a branch, she ducked with a swift motion along with the landing, and managed to avoid to bunnies path. She lunged her weapon up towards her target, which easily dodged the feeble strike by hopping a few branches away. Silver herself hopped back a bit to a lower branch just as the rabbit decided to come back to attack again. Silver had managed to avoid the initial movement, but the rabbit smoothly landed on her last branch and pushed foreword to get at her head. Silver ducked in reaction and swung her hand at it reflexively. She had enough time to think to aim her dagger towards the thing she was swatting at. Unfortunately her blade missed the hopeful target, but fortunately Silvers arm managed to push the demon-bunny off course and into the ground below. The rabbit landed gracefully relatively close to Roy…

(Okay, Roy had to admit it... Silver was definitely alot better a fighter than he was. Watching her move around like that was impressive, even though it didn't seem to have enough of an effect on the killer bunny-rabbit. However, one thing he DID note was the rabbit's inability to get a bead on her. So, versatility aside, they were getting precisely NOWHERE. Then, as he saw Silver deflect it so it would land nearby. Roy immediately took aim and shot it. They were lucky that it was JUST a rabbit, and not something that was, oh say, alot stronger and resistant to bullets.)

"Hey... You broke my rabbit..."

(Scratch that. They were now hearing a decidedly evil voice that was much like The Joker coming from somewhere not too far away. It was not connected to anything so nearly pleasant-looking as the Vorpal Rabbit. Sitting on a branch in a tree was an observer that appeared to be about four feet tall and a deep blue color in skin. He looked like a gargoylian create, also somewhat devilish. His mouth seemed to curl into a leer upon being spotted, his red eyes dancing with madness as his pointed tail flicked a bit. Despite any curse the Dark Forest may have, this fellow felt quite horrific on a level that was extra-sensory. Also, the way he was eyeing Silver for the moment was unnerving... The problem, aside from this creature being all evil and elderich, was that this was a type of incubus. Silver did not know this. Roy did not know this. But the knowledge of such a fact would not give them any comfort. Roy took a step back, however, because he felt a certain resonance. It was the same as the Red Devil...)

"Hi there, kids. Did Uncle Eric scare the bejeezus out of you? I certainly hope so...you pricks."

(Ooc: I’m sorry again for shortness >_> I have a promise to keep >_> )

Silver smiled as She looked down noticing that by some miracle the rabbit landed directly next to Roy, who shot the hellish creature. Silver turned to follow a voice saying something about breaking a bunny… What she saw made her wish the bunny were still alive. A more hellish creature sat in a tree fairly close to Silvers position, it had some unpleasant looking eyes… which were looking deeply into Silver… which was somewhat unnerving and intimidating… “Alright!” She said, looking down below her at Roy, “Why do ALL the evil demonic beings stare at ME???” she asked, “I know what I am and all, but why don’t they ever even LOOK at you??”

“Alright! Why do ALL the evil demonic beings stare at ME??? I know what I am and all, but why don’t they ever even LOOK at you??”

(The sudden outburst had taken Roy by surprise, not to mention the demon-looking creature called Eric. He was about to give some sort of answer...when Eric chimed in instead, right over his head, so to speak.)

Eric: Three reasons! Numbah one, you're cuter and I'm not into guys.

(Uh-huh. Incubus. Right.)

Eric: Numbah two, you do have a bright aura on the astral plain. It's an attention-grabber.

(It should be noted that Eric was now suddenly wearing sunglasses, without having been seen to pull them out.

Eric: And numbah three, I'm already acquainted with Roy-me-boy over here... Or rather his darker half!

(Darker half? Yes, that was one way to describe the Red Devil. And Roy had been right about that feeling that had passed over him. That resonance. He hadn't been able to remember there faces, but this was clearly one of them, the creatures who set him with that Devil in the first place! Eric now looked down at him, his face changing. He'd gone from being somewhat nice to something more cruel and sadistic, just by a change of expression.)

Eric: And just what have you done to yourself, hmmm?

Roy: I don't think that's any of your business.

Eric: Oh, you don't, eh?

(And suddenly, there was fire in his eyes, literally. He flashed a sinister grin and let out a sort of maniacal laugh, making it clear and under no uncertain terms that he was quite insane. Fire then ran down his right arm and condensed into a ball of flame in his hand. He then dove down at Roy, shouting...)

Eric: Well, I beg to differ!!!

BOOOOM!!!

(Eric was intent upon slamming his fistful of fire-power into Roy directly, but Roy had jumped back to avoid such things. Hence, it exploded around Eric only. He was unharmed by the explosion. The guy was immune to flames. But how could he use magic or any powers here? Wasn't this place cursed? Eric processed the look on Roy's face and answer the unspoken question.)

Eric: Oh, have we forgotten so soon, doc? A measily forest like this one isn't strong enough to keep a fellow Brethrenite down. Hee hee hee ha ha ha haaa...

(Roy shot at him twice, both times at the eyes. Eric held up his hand and a shield of dark and crimson energy blocked the shots immediately. It was in severe doubt that bullets would even help here, but it was all Roy had right now. But Eri was the one with power here. He had it, the Dark Power in which the Red Devil had been made from... Eric grinned.)

Eric: You gonna pay for killin my wabbit, doc. You gonna pay in the worst way!

(Ooc: sorry this post took so long, mom had me busy.)

Silver leapt back off her current branch, which was somewhat higher, then most people would be comfortable jumping off of. She landed right in front of Roy and had her legs both spread far apart with her left hand on the ground, her right hand as well as it’s dagger held just behind herself. Silvermoon swiftly jumped to her feet, hands at her sides. Silver sheathed both her weapons and smiled at the demon. “I’ll handle this Roy.” She said, “Alright Demon, if you want at him you’ll have to get through me first.” She directed this at ‘Eric’ “Be careful, I’ll warn you that there is more to me then you might think.” She added.

The dark forest blocked off students powers, but not everything about a persons being was a power, some were abilities. Silvermoon had a special plan, one that would catch the beast off guard. Soon they would know of her race.

Silvermoon pushed off slightly to the left of the demon Eric; rebounding off the tree he was next to. Silver also swung her leg horizontally as she passed him by, secretly drawing her right blade again… Silver slid on the ground as she as intended, in the end she was facing Eric with a smile, standing up with her dagger held reverse in her hand, hidden from view…

“Alright Demon, if you want at him you’ll have to get through me first. Be careful, I’ll warn you that there is more to me then you might think.”

(She'll handle this? Roy wondered how, lacking any substantial power when this Eric creature had plenty. He guessed the whole "protect the girl from danger" thing was passe'. He'd have to settle for "protect each other" instead. Silver might've thought she could handle him, but if this was an incubus...well...ladies were his specialty. What kind of guy would he be if he let a horrible demon lech do something horrible to his date? But now, Silver was doing some quick moves, once again stylish, kicking at Eric in the face as she passed.)

*FWAP!!*

(The blue devil's head seemed to snap back without resistance. A rather unhealthy-sounding SNAP had followed this action. Had she broken his neck? Not likely, or not likely that it mattered. Eric was standing up straight as his head hung back at in odd angle. Yes, she had been sliding, but Eric was hit in the head because he'd been...)

Eric: Woohoo! Nice one!

(HE'D BEEN LOOKING AT HER CROTCH AND HER BUTT LIKE AN OUT AND OUT PERVERT!!! It's not as though she was even wearing a dress! What was this guy getting off on, anyway? Eric twisted his head up just in time to see Roy swing the butt of his rifle into Eric's head again, twisting it around again. He looked dazed at this point, but it was obviously a ruse.)

Eric: Oh man... Jealous boyfriend...

(So was that. Eric specialized in saying and doing things that were disarming and very alarming. When he straightened his head out again - making some of the god-awfullest bone-crunching sounds while doing it - he looked from Roy to Silver and back again, thinking. They would know now that spiritual law would make it possible to deliver effective blows against him using physical strikes while manifested like this. But did they know that unpowered blades were worthless? A good question, but he wasn't going to ask. Instead...)

Eric: Now, where was I? Oh yeah! Fight scene! Right...

(Now, what to use? What to use? Flame-wads? His Dark Power? The Mallet of Infinite Contusions? He began to think, rubbing the nub of one of his little forehead horns. Wait a second... Okay, NOW he had an idea. If he could keep the host for the Red Devil off of his back, he could have his own fun with the girl undisturbed. This coaxed a devious laugh from Eric as he slapped the ground and raised a fiery golem from the ground. It faced Roy now, with Eric standing on its shoulder.)

Eric: Now, you two play nice while I have my fun.

(The blue incubus took a dive at Silver, a fist outstretched to give her a decent WHAM against the tree she was closest to. The golem began to stomp towards Roy, who was shooting for the head and hitting dead on the mark. The problem was that he wasn't sure the golem was getting hurt. It was reforming the part of its head that kept getting shot. Maybe he was draining its reserves, maybe not. He needed a plan, though...)

Silvermoon hadn’t liked the snapping sounds the demon made every time he got hit in the head. She took them however keeping her attention focused of him. Silver hadn’t noticed any of the pervert actions the incubus had done, she had been too focused on her attack. Perhaps it was stupidity that got the demon hit, because Silvermoon hadn’t expected to touch it… yet… Silver watched as Eric summoned a flaming golem from the earth, he was positioned on its shoulder laughing somewhat stupidly. Suddenly after finishing his sentence he turned and dove at Silvermoon, who wondered if he meant her by fun? As he got Closer, Silvermoon jumped, essentially avoiding his, and his fist. She stomped down on his head as he rushed past underneath her, burying his face a few inches into the earth. Eric kept sliding despite that fact, slamming into the tree he had intended to put her into.

“Bad idea demon.” Silver said to Eric after he had hit the tree. “I’m too smart for that, apparently you could use a brain.” She added, specifically wanting to anger him, but not certain if he’d take that as a compliment or something as he tried to rape her. Silver was now standing where she had been before, smiling… She could win this fight if it continued this way and she wouldn’t have to move! “Well now Demon boy, are you just going to lay there, or are you planning on getting back up?” She asked, Paying attention to what was happening more now since she had finished her thoughts.

(The impact with his head seemed to coax a sound of confusion from Eric as it happened. Then, him falling into the dirt and hitting his head on the base of the tree seemed to be outright comical, as he certainly reacted like some sort of comic relief. As Silver made to taunt him, Eric stood up, looking none the worse for wear, smacking dirt out of his his as she spoke. Then he began to speak melodramatically, taunting right back at her.)

Eric: O woe is me! I am undone by this helpless female's scathing words! What ever shall I do against this heinous power?

(While he was doing this, Eric looked over at Roy's 'progress'. The boy was shooting holes in the golem's arms, but the liquid-fire limbs only reattached before falling to the ground. Even then, that wouldn't help at all. You had to hit a fire-golem really hard to take them down. He looked at Silvermoon now with a grin, taking a few easy steps in her direction.)

Eric: Oh come on, now. You should know that I can take alot more than you'll ever dish out. Or are we forgetting...?

(Eric snapped his fingers and haze of red grew out of the ground behind Silver, solidifying into a hand large enough to grab her like she was an action figure. As soon as it had formed, it made to do just that, to grab her and hold her in place!)

Eric: I have the Power!

(Ooc: deleted by poster due to doing something he thought wouldn't work anyway >_> *sigh* just a little longer.)

(Ooc: ok, take two…)

Silver took a quickstep foreword, towards Eric and away from the hand. She rolled foreword to avoid any real possibility of getting caught, when she reached the end of her roll, she kicked with all the momentum and might she had, at Eric. If she managed to hit him it would essentially pound him into the tree he was standing in front of, and perhaps he would fall foreword, there was no way to gauge how much effort went into that attack. Weather she hit him or not, Silver didn’t care at the moment, she stood up to look at what had happened to Roy, apparently he was still fighting the golem. Silver thought fast on how she could help her dear friend, Roy seemed to be making no progress on his end, he seemed to be having as much luck as she was. Silver noticed a branch, which looked a little promising. If she could either get Roy to shoot the branch down, or she could cut it down herself it looked like a lethal weapon. Should she manage to get it to fall it could Skewer the fire golem and save Roy from further problems with it.

Silver began jumping onto different branches on the tree, careful not to fall off. When she reached the limb she was aiming for she withdrew her daggers and sunk them into the wood as deeply as she could. As expected noting happened immediately, instead Silver had to repeat that process, which somehow caused the branch to break and fall directly towards the golem. Silvermoon hadn’t expected the branch to break so soon. So she was free falling along with the it, Silver instinctively thrust one of her daggers into the main trunk, which slowed her down a bit and caused a strait cut about a foot long before she lost grip suddenly and was forced to save herself with her other blade. She ended up losing it as well to the tree. In the end she was saved by another branch not far from where she had lost her second weapon. She was basically holding on to it with her hands, as opposed to her elbows, or her knees. From the position she managed to swing herself to a nearby convenient branch to which she landed on her feet, almost falling right off of it, though managing to maintain her balance. She had yet to look back towards the golem to see what kind of damage, if any she had caused.

OOC: This is alot better.

IC>>>>>

(The kick for the incubus almost connected properly after Silver ducked away from the hand. As it stood, it was a glancing blow that propelled him somewhat in a direction a little left of the tree. Somehow, it was in severe doubt that Eric would be hurting much from that one either. He had some sort of masochistic streak going through him. But in any case, she jumped up to the branch to send it flying down at the golem...and the golem caught it, bursting it into flames.)

"Ha-ha!"

(Roy took notice of this AND the fact that Silver had almost gotten herself hurt from falling, but saved herself. Breathing a sigh of relief there, Roy got an idea. The golem was passing close to another tree...one which Roy started unloading his shotgun at. The base of the truck fractured and splinter, and then...)

Roy: Timber!!

(The golem looked up and saw an entire tree falling towards it. No problem, right? It would just reach out and grab it before-)

POW! POW!

"Uh oh..."

(Roy shot its hands apart at the crucial moment in which it would have to make a grab, thus making it possible for the tree to crush the golem right down the middle. Liquid flame splorted and fumed, causing the tree to erupt in flames as well before turning into a worthless hulk. The golem was dead, and Silver was alright. Just then, Roy saw...himself standing on the branch next to Silvermoon! It was a version of him with red eyes...)

Roy: So, what do you see in this guy, anyway?

(The hand that had formed before was now a good twenty feet above Roy now, ready to pound...)

Silver turned to the... Roy, who had mysteriously turned up right next to her… “More then I see in you demon” She said in response to the question, attempting to push the thing off. After trying to use her hand to push the demonic illusion off the branch, Silver jumped from it, Carefully landing next to Roy. She hadn’t noticed the hand above her and Roy yet, and probably wouldn’t. Silver noticed the pile of ruin however which Roy had caused… “Firstly, congratulations on that kill, secondly… I wonder why you never run out of bullets?” She asked, realizing that Roy must have shot countless times from that gun this trip alone.

OOC: Roy goes John Woo on things! (Hah! Yeah, right...)

IC>>>

(Pushing the Eric-version of Roy off of the branch only caused him to scoot over a couple feet and stand in mid-air. Eric could fly, after all. He seemed only mildly annoyed by her forceful action there. As if falling from a great height would help their situation. He stood there in Roy-form for a moment, watching them carefully, and also the hand above them both. It was a matter of fact that Eric could appear in the shape of any male being. It was the nature of an incubus to do so. Meanwhile...)

“Firstly, congratulations on that kill, secondly... I wonder why you never run out of bullets?”

(Roy was reloading at this time. The action was...rather quick, and he wasn't looking as he did so.)

Roy: I was carrying alot of ammo on the way in. This is the Dark Forest, after all. I didn't wanna get ambushed before actually reaching you. But ummm...

(And it this part, he seemed more than a little worried. He spoke low, so as to prevent the incubus from hearing him.)

Roy: Those were my last two shells and I know they won't do a thing against him.

(At that point, the other Roy walked in. The real Roy's anger was transparent.)

Roy: What the hell are you doing as me?!

Roy: Nothing, really. I asked your girl here what she saw in you and she tried to push me off a tree. Very impolite. It's not nice to push your pals around.

Roy: You're not our 'pal'!

Roy: Oh, but we are pals... You belong to us, remember? You allowed us in because you wanted to be free of the asylum...

Roy: Shut up!

(Eric-Roy looked over at Silver with a shocked expression on his face.)

Roy: He didn't tell you! He didn't tell you about how he was in Blackfield Asylum, drugged 'round-the-clock to keep him in check!

Roy: What do you know, huh? How can you know anything about me?

Roy: Because RD told me, of course. Unlike you, he's honest with himself.

Roy: You're full of it...

Roy: Am I? So tell me, Roy-me-boy... How's mom and dad? Visit their graves lately? Gone home yet? Think they've rebuilt and forgotten by now?

Roy: Stop that...

(There was a rising temper in the genuine Roy now, as Eric began to force-feed him things that he was trying to forget, things that he had no control over. The Jinx had done it. He never had control. He was better now. Really!)

Roy: Maybe your friend here might not like you as much when she hears how many people died when all they did was try and help you.

Roy: I told them to stay away! I told them that I-

Roy: -was out of control! You never even tried! All you ever did was sulk and try to kill yourself!

Roy: I did not!!

Roy: Sitting in an alley with a piece of glass over your own wrists. Woulda' happened too if that bum hadn't woken up and the glass got him instead.

Roy: SHUT UP!!

Roy: Why don't you make me, kid-killer?

(And Roy did! With a yell, he jumped the Eric-made image of himself, slamming the butt of his shotgun at him, again and again, but the incubus was laughing and fending off alot of this impotent rage stuff. A few hits landed and it seemed to really hurt, but not enough. And then...)

Roy: Hey, look up.

(Normally, Roy would ignore a simple diversion, but the glint in Eric's eye told him that something was up. Upon looking, he saw the Dark Power hand descending. It was basically a detached hand, flying down to grab him. He couldn't make Eric flip over, and the incubus was trying to throttle him now. Dammit, he let the little bastard put him in a bind!)

Silver shook her head; she had only heard half of the story. She had never heard of the destruction, only that he had been possessed… ‘Possessed!’ She realized, she knew what possession meant. Silver looked back at Roy… the real one she assumed based on the fact that he was caught up in a hand much like the one Eric had wanted her in earlier. Silvermoon looked back at Roy…Eric… “Well now demon.” She started, “It is not his past I care about. If you knew anything about me you would understand my role in life.” She continued, “I am a healer, sworn to the defense of people as well as helping them recover from their past.” She added, “Seeing as how I’m the only one left standing demon, I believe the fight is between us.” She finished for the moment, seeing the tree, which had stolen her daggers. Silvermoon jumped into the trees lowest branch, swiftly following through with another jump to get higher…

Silver soon landed on a branch next to her lower dagger, which she withdrew from the tree rather easily. After doing so she continued up a little farther to retrieve her other blade. This one came out as easily as the first. Once again armed, Silver jumped out of the tree from a little higher then she would have liked. When she hit the ground it hurt a little, and caused her to fall into it more then she would have liked. She put her daggers into the dirt from the impact, like she would have her hands, to absorb some of the impact instead of her face. Silver stood up quickly soon after to look at Demon-Roy with her challenge, “I am ready.”

(This problem was rapidly growing out of control. Roy was snagged in a large hand, neither of them had any power to speak of, and the incubus was just laughing it up.)

“Well now demon. It is not his past I care about. If you knew anything about me you would understand my role in life. I am a healer, sworn to the defense of people as well as helping them recover from their past. Seeing as how I’m the only one left standing demon, I believe the fight is between us.”

Roy: Hmmm? Oh yeah. Sure. Whatever you say.

(The brush-off was not really paid much attention, and perhaps neither was the retrieving of the two daggers from the tree as well. Because in the time it took for her to do that, Eric's attention span had gotten much less reliable. When Silver landed on the ground, declaring that she was ready for him, Eric was watching the evil hand give Roy a sample of the dark energy that flowed through it with glee. The look of sheer pain on his face was causing the fake Roy to grin so wickedly that he could never be mistaken for human. But then, he heard Silvermoon over the real Roy's shouts of agony.)

Roy: Huh? Oh, right...

(Eric changed back into his real form, slowly. His wings torn from the false Roy's back, and little horns sprouted from the forehead. The eyes went totally red as the teeth became sharper. And then the rest of the body simply resolved itself into being more like the gargoylian incubus that he really was.)

Eric: I almost forgot...

(He held up his right hand and conjured something into it. It was a long-handled mallet with a big rectangular head that was smooth around the edges. It was blackened like lead or steel, but it was hard to tell what it was really made out of. It was a matter of fact that this was a weapon of sorcery, in a sense. It was a hammer that delivered mass amounts of impact per hit, a weapon that did more physical damage than normal. In other words, it was The Mallet of Infinite Contusions!)

Eric: I'm ready too!

(Eric twirled the weapon in his hand, gripped it properly in his hand, and slammed it down. The ground in the immediate area shook for a second. Then, laughing, he took a straight leap towards Silvermoon, only he was planning more or less to catch her with the head of the Mallet as he passed by on her right, rather.)

Silver instinctively reacted to the charge by sidestepping, to her right. The demon landed and continued slightly left, Silver ducked and extended her left hand, as well as it’s dagger, to cut the incubus, Although She probably missed due to not being close enough. Silver stood up and hit her head on a low branch, which was right above her. She had very little reaction other then to cringe for a half second and step out from under it. She looked at Eric again to see that he was rather close to her. Silver charged foreword and rolled foreword a little to the demons left, as she finished the roll she attempted a low horizontal slash at his ankles, then immediately followed through by twirling coupled with a smooth identical attack a little higher, aimed at the demons Knees. Silver utilized the momentum she had generated to quickly get some distance between her and the winged freak.

She stopped and turned around once more to face him, right next to a tree, which had no low branches, but offered a way to not only dodge, but also possibly mount an effective counter strike should the demon attack her again.

(Indeed, Silver was a little off when trying to attack Eric on the first run. That he missed himself annoyed the incubus slightly. Of course, when Silver sought to perform a more sneaky attack, slashing at Eric's knees and ankles, she felt...resistance. Something was wrong. It didn't feel like the knives were penetrating. So...blunt strikes were able to hurt but not knives? Well, this was because there really wasn't anything to bleed in the material sense. Eric's 'blood' was of a spiritual nature. Energy was required to penetrate his hide, and there was none to be found that would be of any use.)

Eric: Silly girl... Those daggers are as impotent is your friend over there.

(Roy would've said something about this. He looked like he wanted to. He was certain getting angry. However, he was stopped by a quick squeeze of the hand, as if threatening to crush him. Eric laughed and took flight. He soared towards Silver now, swiftly bringing the Mallet in like a battering ram. He stopped short of her to thrust it forward, quite forcefully, then pulled back so that he could ram it at her right there, trying to knock the head of the Mallet into her head, shoulders, knees, and stomach.)

Silver reacted to the initial attempt at hitting her by jumping back out of the way. Unfortunately she ended up hitting a tree but she was just out of the mallets reach. When Eric pulled back again, he just looked like he was going to attack again. Silver took this as an opportunity, as soon as he began his thrust, Silver jumped onto the mallets head. Once she was on top she took further action quickly. Silver jumped foreword off the mallet to land on the demons hands or arms. This would be a blunt attack and should cause some pain no matter the results. In sync with Silvers jump, she sheathed her daggers and attempted a solid punch into Eric’s face.

(Okay, the ram of feet into his arms? That hurt. Here he was, trying to ram a blunt object at her, and she just up and STEPS ON HIM, effectively. But the punch in the face? That was going too far! It was like...incubus getting tired of it! Time to get nasty! Eric's jawline looked misaligned, but it cracked back into place. Eric quickly whipped back the Mallet out from under Silver, then started swinging it with one hand in a wild set of motions, outrightly trying to clobber her with his big nasty weapon!)

Eric: I may not be pretty, but NO ONE messes with the face, regardless!

(Meanwhile, Roy's expression was venomous. He knew that Eric wasn't really trying. He was just mad on principle. This creep had a highly-destructive force at his command. In not using it - besides this damn hand - Eric was only setting her up for a big fall. Roy's anger steadily grew with this knowledge. He could sense NONE of Eric's Dark Power in those swings...which brought him to a funny thought. How was he sensing?)

Silver was tripped by the mallets head, which caused her to fall on her back right in front of Eric. A moment later, Silver rolled to the side to evade one of his wild swings with the hammer, she stood up at the end of the roll, and ended up getting knocked into a near tree when one of the demons strikes actually hit her. Silver flew into the tree; somehow her daggers were lying right next to it, as they must have been taken from her hands due to the force of the hit she had endured. Upon hitting the tree, she fell foreword a foot or so from recoil, landing face first back into the forest ground. Silver was now unconscious, unable to move or react to any more attacks. She basically had her legs straight, slightly bent at the knees, her arms were both at her sides, and her dark purple hair was half thrown past her head.

Ba-Thump...Ba-Thump...

(He saw it happen and knew that it was coming, yet he was somehow fully-surprised when it did.)

Ba-Thump...Ba-Thump...

(It felt as if the world had stopped, all except for his heartbeat. Everything else was in a stand-still.)

Ba-Thump...Ba-Thump...

(He watched in horror as the incubus made good on his threat, and that he was not playing after all. That Mallet of his... It wasn't a toy. It was an artifact that was created over a century ago, by the very lord of darkness who had elevated Eric to his position. It was a weapon that seemed ridiculous, but was very potent. Roy wasn't sure how he knew this, but he knew it just the same. The knowledge burned his blood.)

Ba-Thump, Ba-Thump, Ba-Thump!!

(His heartbeat now increased with a subtle rage that had been boiling, festering... It wanted to explode as he saw Silver thrown into that tree by a single blow, an inclination that only grew with every second he saw her lying helpless before a creature of such perverse nature. Eric laughed, slinging The Mallet of Infinite Contusions over his shoulder.)

Eric: Heh heh heh heh heh... I think I broke her!

(Roy was still caught by the hand of solidified Dark Power, but but he saw only the need to carve the incubus up. He needed to get out. NOW! Eric had his guard down. If only he could get loose... And then, Roy noticed that there was something going on that he was not totally aware of. His felt his power! He wasn't sure why, but something in him was telling the curse of the Dark Forest to go to hell. He felt it growing, and then he used it!)

Roy: BASTARD!!!

(Something fast and sharp cut apart the hand in seconds, separating it into pieces. Roy fell to the ground just in time to avoid being engulfed in a deadly explosion. This certainly got Eric's attention, but it was only in time to get confused by the translucent body flying towards him, kicking him in between the legs. Achilles had a heel, Goliath had a big forehead, Bruce Campell had a B-rating - but Eric's weakness was a classic. He was an incubus. Was it any wonder that his crotch would not like to sustain an apparent battering ram of energetic physical force?)

Eric: WmmmmMMMMM- WAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

(He dropped the Mallet and fell over, protecting his crotch from further harm, but that didn't stop Roy from sending that astral body of his to keep up the hurt. None of the blows that followed were as potent as that one strike, but it kept Eric subdued for the time-being. His teeth gritted, but his eyes filled with growing concern, Roy stood up from where he'd fallen and quickly headed over to Silver. Turning her over, he looked to see if there was any indication of several wounds. His eye wanred back to the incubus as he attempted to rouse her. He might not remain out of it for long.)

Roy: Silver, wake up! We have to get out of here now!

(There was an edge of fear raging against determination in his voice. He was still angry, but he also knew that this situation was far too out of hand. They needed to get out into the regular forest, maybe get healed once there. They had to leave this asshole behind, or else he might try to make a meal of them next...)

Silver wasn’t about to wake up; she hadn’t just been given a light tap. And if it hadn’t been for that tree she was thrown into she wouldn’t have even fallen like she had. She had been hit far to hard to wake up and would be out for a few hours at least. Silver would have been happy to awaken, but it wouldn’t matter if she tried since it would require conscious thought and manipulation of her powers. Since she was unconscious it would have been impossible anyway.

All of that aside, Silver was busy dreaming at the moment, nothing about the future, or the past… just some really retarded stuff. Firstly she was in her dream, and she was wearing a bikini… that was something she had never done before. The bikini was dark purple, like her hair, which had apparently been dyed blond. Now THAT was something she wouldn’t do… dye her hair? That’s just plain stupid… Silver was barefoot and was standing at the edge of a lake. Standing next to her was somebody she didn’t recognize, but who was her height and had normal peachy skin, and short black hair. He, as it were, wore only black swimming trunks. Silver walked into the lake, diving in once past the shallow parts. The boy followed, jumping in within two seconds of her dive…

Now, enough dreaming, in the real world, Silver was breathing normally, and being shaken, Roy was trying to rouse her. The incubus had been… temporarily stopped. A dark hue was forming around Both Silvermoon and Roy, slowly darkening itself. After a few minutes had passed, the dark energies formed themselves into a portal above Silvers, and Roy’s heads, and quickly fell over them, taking them through it’s dark depths to another destination.

As the portal placed the two ‘Travelers’ at the destination what could be seen was darkness, but that wasn’t all. Through the darkness it could be seen that the two had been placed into a small room that got very little light. There was no sign of the portal that had brought them there. Only darkness and a shimmer of light in the hall outside the door, the room they were in was entirely purple, but not quite the same as Silvermoon’s hair, it was a little lighter then that, although in the darkness it seemed to be almost black, wielding only a slight hint of it’s true color.

(Ooc: sorry if you don’t like what I did, but the entire point of the dark-forest topic WAS to get sucked up in a demon portal thing and end up in a different world. Also, feel free to start the new topic there if you want.)

OOC: Actually, I didn't know this was gonna happen, but plot twists are intriguing anyway, so I'll go with it.

IC>>>

Roy: Silver, c'mon! Please...

(Roy was beginning to sound desperate as he heard sounds from Eric that were not totally involving being in pain. But unfortunately, Silvermoon just lay there, her body no more responsive than a ragdoll. Her lights had been put out for a good while and the only consolation was that she didn't appear to be seriously injured. Not that Roy had the time to check, but it was good enough for him if she just didn't appear to be dying.)

Eric: Fucking hell...

Roy: Oh shit...

(The demon was getting to his feet, albeit awkwardly, despite the humanoid astral projection attacking him. Eric sneered and growled, shortly before his entire body went aflame and blasted the projection with a large torrent of fire. Eric was now in the worst possible mood Eric could be in. This was a "I'll kill you and everyone you know" kind of attitude, and he saw it in the creature's eye. Eric's flaming aura flashed outward, burning some trees to a bunch of dead hulks, shortly before both of the incubus' hands summoned in a couple wads of the Dark Power into them.)

Eric: I'll turn you into a couple of burnt crispy SMEARS!!

(It was over. Roy knew that they weren't going to survive now, even though this was one ofthe few times in his life that he really wanted to live!)

Roy: I'm sorry, Silver. He might never have noticed you if it weren't for me. I... What the...?

(It was then that he noticed that both he and her were glowing, and that there was a portal over their heads, quickly closing around them. Roy's surprise at this could only be matched by his delight for making a quick getaway, though he was wondering where it was that they were going to go. Eric's jaw dropped as he saw them disappear.)

Eric: What kind of bullshit is this?! You half-assed forest! You're suppose to make them weak and helpless, not capable of getting away at all! Lousy piece of human garbage!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

(A loud explosion of crimson energy was seen, heard, and felt that day, in the core of the Dark Forest, but Roy and Silver were not there to witness it.)

OOC: Yeah, I'll make a topic. I have spare time today.
