(OOC: Sorry this post has taken so long, hopefully the next will be up tomorrow) Somewhere in Tokyo... A thin figure hidden behind a black cape spoke in his rapsy voice "You are a fool Aaron. You have given the Prometheus enough time to recover, which means that all my work was for nothing. Sending your troops after him now will mean death for some if not most of them! You wanted me to create a rabid righteous wolf, I did so... but you have once again failed to act." "Stop acting like you are the one who leads us. I am the leader of this outfit because I have captured and conquered thousands of these half breed idiots and the slaves they enlist. I have allowed Prometheus time to recover for one reason: I need to know exactly how powerful he is." "Fool! I already told you his limits and-" "Shut your mouth! You told me, but I want to witness him in action! I want our troops, and most of all I want his captures to know just how powerful he is. They must have assumed that he would take a long time to grow into his true potential, or completely been clueless as to his destiny. I want them to see exactly what they missed out on having Malfestious, I want them to know and fear that he will come back how he should have been in the first place. Aaron's voice outwieghed the man in the black robe, and never backed down throughout the entire explaination. "Now... Selah and Solomon? Is he ready?" What looked like two teenagers covered in white robes emerged from the shadows, one who's eyes were black with a white spiral. Focusing his eyes, the boy created a projection for all whom were in the specific room to see, one of a young man with white hair alone on a mountain top. "Excellent Selah. Solomon, would you explain the situation?" "Of course master Aaron..." ______________________________________________________________________ He had come alone. Since his awakening, he found only reason to hate and destroy, reasons to torment evil in his own vile mannerisms that he called righteousness. How could he have been justified to attack and kill so many? How? The only answer he could come up with was a dark one indeed: there was no justification for what he had done. That meant that he had killed people simply because they were on the wrong side of what he viewed as right. Although there were no stains of blood on his hands, nor could he see them if they were there, Caleb Prometheus cringed every time he held out his hands. He had killed people, not just soldiers or mercenaries, but actual people. Some of them had families, others had lovers or devotions that they followed. But he had killed them all the same, as if the were just pawns... They were just pawns of someone else's game. Destroying them just secured their history as a pawn and nothing more... they had no chance for redemption because I took it from them. These stupid righteous passions still burn in me, still want to end lives rather than save them. I cannot accept that, so I must grow stronger... I must return to the simplicity of being whole... We can never be whole again, thanks to what they did to us. How dare you claim that those deaths were needless! Those students would have been killed if I had not have acted, if I would have sat here like you are now. Stop pulling a Tateo or Winter and rejoin society. We need to fight the coming storm, and here you sit trying to find peace! Would you prefer to fight the White Hand with the muscle atrophy we had suffered? Yes, I came here alone to train knowing that someday we have to re-emerge from this cave at the top of the mountain and actually battle the White Hand. But before that, we must be made ready... you and I must figure out how to be one. BE ONE?! I WILL NOT CONFORM TO YOUR PASSIVE WILL! I WILL NOT FORGIVE THOSE WHO KILLED EONA, EONA! SHE WAS OUR FAMILY!!!! NOW YOU SIT HERE, THINKING THAT I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO MELD INTO YOU! NEVER! I WILL HONOR MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY BY NOT RUNNING AWAY, BY FIGHTING AND DEFENDING THEM- And spilling more bloodshed and tears. Yes, I know how you would react to this Seraph. That was the reason that I pulled us up this mountain to train, so that we could learn from our mistakes. If you and I want to achieve any sort of victory over the White Hand, then they cannot be allowed to predict our actions or thoughts. If you don't mind now, relax yourself so I can begin training with this body again... For once, only silence answered his broken soul. Caleb rose and walked out into the snow storm, not bothering to grab his shirt or jacket like usual. For almost a month now, he had survived up on this mountain through eating snow and meditating; and consitant use of the Tai Chi that Teo had taught him. Every day, it was the same thing, awaken and eat some snow, then go out into the freezing cold and practice. For the first week, he had been sick as a dog and tempted to use his powers... but after conversing with his divided soul; he decided that powers were the last thing to help him recover. After two weeks, Caleb no longer felt or even feared the cold, knowing now that nothing short of an actual ice magic attack would hurt him. Still though, he was determined to put his soul back together before he came off his mountain. Even if it took an entire season, or an entire year... he would not return to his loved ones a broken man. ______________________________________________________________________ She had left AHS and domino alike, trying as hard as she could to live for the one she loved even if he couldn't live himself. Everyday was the same depression, every day was the same world in simple black without her love. She understood why he had sacrificed himself, but at the same time she wanted so much to be with him even if it meant going to hell. But he had severed them all out, simply absorbing all that darkness into him. She swore it was the same darkness she saw now. Her coffee had already gotten cold, and her hands her trembling from the cold winds of an oncoming storm. She came here every day, listening to the news storys and knowning that once Caleb woke up, he would surely come and find her. It would only be a matter of time before she would hear how her love now walked among the living again. Others who knew her story abandoned her, trying to just let her sit in the lonelyness rather than making an attempt at companionship. Actually, she appreciated them for it, because she truly did want to be alone... at least until he came back. Today though felt different somehow, and not in a good way. The air felt colder, the winds were more bitter... and the footsteps walking by her were closer. One set even came so close that she grabbed her cane and began to feel her way out of the place, back toward the bus that would return her to anime high school. As a blind student, her requirements were almost independent in comparrison to normal students, so she rarely had to be there at best. And she couldn't visit Caleb, the hospital would not allow anyone near the clinic where he was kept at for some reason. She was midway to the bus stop when she felt a silky coat brush her side walking in the opposite direction. She paused for a moment, completely thrown off by the situation from a sudden and inexplainable fear. That fear caused her to drop the guidance cane and run, straight into another person. Her hands touched their face by accident, but found a cold grip as she saw through the eyes of the individual she had grabbed. It was a man in the white silk coat, a man with an egotistical smile and a sword on his hip. In fact, she knew instantly that he was somehow related to those whom had taken Caleb... he had the same outline as the goldenman! In a shock she released her hands from the individual's face, and they ran knowing that some sort of trouble was going to commence. "Well well well little girl, I know you. You helped that pain in the ass who messed up my record, but he's more to you than that isn't he? Isn't he the one you love?" His tone was a taunt, he was worse in reality than in the realm of Lance's soul. "I know everything about you two... see we got to view all of his memories and give him the worst nightmares anyone could imagine. I suppose we must have tore his soul apart too much, because otherwise he would be with you here and now, wouldn't he?" "Caleb... is awake?" Her words were a terrified whisper, but not of the Goldenman. She just knew somehow he was telling the truth, and that Caleb had not come for her at all. A single tear fell from her eye, followed by another and then more and more. "Oh yes luv, he woke up. But he must be in hiding... or at least hiding from you. Too bad to, because I know that once he loved you very much. However, I need him out of hiding... I need him to come out and play with us. So if he hasn't already had enough inspiration-" In an instant, it was over... his sword was embedded in her stomach. Someone screamed, and then several people ran away. "Now make sure that when you die... you scream real loud so he can hear you." He pulled the sword out, letting her body crumple on the cold icy pavement. His smile turned to a frown, for even though tears streamed from her face, the only noise she had made was the intial gasp of the sword stabbing through her. Judha turned and shrugged, wondering how many other people he was going to have to stab before the Prometheus would come out of hiding. C-Caleb... Why? I... I love you... Her blind eyes closed, never to open again. ______________________________________________________________________ Today's training did not go well. For one reason or another, the winds of today were more bitter than usual, meaning that his previous master was probably busy with something and not trying to stop this storm. Furthermore, for some reason today just seemed cold, evil and bitter all around. It certainly did not help his attitude, or the attitude of Seraph for that matter. However, things were about to get worse-much worse. He began to walk back toward his cave, preparing to huddle for warmth through this storm. And then it happened, a single footprint sounded off in the snow, causing Caleb to turn around and activate his powers. He saw the soul of a powerful man, but it was a soul with gashes and voids. Who was this man?! What was he doing here?! "You do not yet know my, but I bear a token to help you..." "Then why don't you tell me what it is? After all, you seem to know that it will help me, so you must understand I am blind..." Even though Caleb had wanted to do the talking, Seraph had already voiced his opinion. That alone made his head pound, mostly due to the struggle of his two severed parts each grabbing at the body for control. "This is the blood of one whom you loved, one whom you kept closer to your heart than anyone else. She is gone now, this rag of blood was a gift from Judha, the man who made the curse within your friend's soul, onto you." The figure released a small white cloth soaked in blood through the wind, and it blew directly into Caleb's hands. The blood itself no longer felt warm, and was even beginning to grow stiff in the harsh weather. He clutched it, knowing and fearing exactly whom the man who had given this to him spoke of. Desperately, his mind reached out and grabbed one of the eathrel ravens he kept nearby, overtaking it with the order to search the high school, the city, and the world for his love. "That is a vein action... I was forced to bear witness. Son of Orion, if you want this violence to stop, you will have to come down from the mountain and meet the White Hand head on. Engage us in battle so that our leaders do not force us into these situations..." Although his spirit was almost impossible to read, Caleb thought that the man before him held tones of not just compassion, but sorrow in his voice. Caleb tried to speak, tried to say something to the being before him... but his voice was completely lost. Another death that he was responsible for, but this time for a failure to act.... how was he supposed to handle this?! As quickly as he had come, the man whom had given Caleb the rag was gone, vanished in an instant. Anger, fury, and outright hatred for his own people and their servants exploded through him. He fell onto his knees, finally letting out a scream. Seraph did not taunt him, instead joining him in the scream and rage of his soul. In their pain together, the fires of his soul rekindled and lit up at first his entire body, and then grew and grew to form a minature storm of his own. The blinding white fire became almost a lighthouse effect in the distance, anyone looking up at Dragoon Mountain would notice a huge white light coming from close to the peak. Then, a storm of ravens also began to approach the mounatin, circling the light and landing around it. Only a few moments after it had begun, the fire came back into its owner's body, ready for battle. Together... we hunt the White Hand... tonight we bring them an end without mercy, a justice without compassion. They have shown my friends and family the very shadows of righteousness, and today I will strangle each and every one of those bastards with their own shadows. "Ravens, form me a gate to the dorms. You know where..." Instantly, the black storm heard and obeyed. They formed the single mirror doorway that would lead him exactly to where the things he needed for an upcoming battle were. |
