Mirakel was sitting at the base of the waterfall, the cool spray feeling wonderful on his fevered skin. He'd been training hard all day long, the remnants of his punching bag, which had been a steel thread composite, covered with a shark suit, was in shreads, mangled and slashed. He was a little dissapointed, but it was alright. "I need to get faster. Its taking too long for me to get toeach new attack..." He leaned back, supported by his arms behind him. His left leg had been cramping, so he had it stretched out towards the small pool that formed under the fall. He was glad for the solitude in the night. The stars winked brightly overhead, and the surrounding flora was a nice change from both the School, and Tokyo. |

(The waterfall was formed at a point that was somewhere high up in the Dragoon Mountains, descending upon the place it now met with that great rush of water. This was one of those falls that would be ideal for meditating, if one were into that sort of thing. Now then, up much higher in the mountains, where the waterfall actually came from, there was another person. Okay, 'person' was a bit of a stretch, because that denoted humanity. No, this was clearly a being that took an animal form, specifically a fox. More specifically, it was a three-tailed greyfox with bright green eyes and the approximate mass of a human being. Sitting and looking out upon the horizon was one Rish Govani, thinking to herself pleasantly. Her fox-form appeared to be smiling even...) Rish: All is right with the world, at last. My power is at its former luster, I've got all of my problems under control, and best of all... (Feeling impetuous and impulsive, Rish took a dive right off of the cliff and into the water of the waterfall, letting out a cry that sounded like "HE'S ALIVE!!!", followed by joyous laughter. Her typically strong and alluring voice was put aside for outright merriment, a self-sustaining celebration of her good fortune. For some time now, she had been caught somewhere between mourning the death of her brother and cursing the name of the boy who killed him. Only now...it turned out that the boy was dead and his brother was alive and using his enemy's body as his own! If that wasn't cause to shout and holler, what was? However, what Rish did not know, immediately, was that there was someone at the bottom of the waterfall. She saw a glimpse of someone before hitting the water's surface, sinking below it, and then looked again as her head bobbed up, an inquisitive look on her face.) Rish: Don't I know you...? |

Mirakel smiled, an sat cross legged, placing his hands upside down as he prepared to meditate. "Yes, you have, only last time, it was as something more... euphoric." He closed his eyes and evened his breathing. "It was at the party in Suzaku house, you destroyed then fixed my room." |

"It was at the party in Suzaku house, you destroyed then fixed my room." Rish: Oh yes... (She remembered that easily enough. It wasn't very long ago, just a couple days in fact. She was always so busy, it was sometimes too hard to keep track of these things. Well, perhaps things would settle down a little now. Rish let out a short chuckle of amusement as she very swiftly made her way to the edge of the water, then climbed out and shook off.) Rish: Well, I didn't want to leave a mess, since you started making me regret the act in the first place. Lately, I've been rather irritable, with myself and other things. That's all passed now, though... (She turned to face the waterfall, stretched, and sat down comfortably. What an odd coincidence, running into this guy so soon after crashing and thrashing that party... Rish stared at the waterfall for a moment, thinking, and then blinked. She looked over at the boy with curious look on her fox-face.) Rish: You know, it occurs to me... I introduced myself already, but I never caught your name. |

He smiled, his meditation pose unruffled. "Sorry, my name is Mirakel Tarashka. It is a pleasure to meet you, miss Rish." He began to hum in a very low voice. His aura appeared like mist and began to shroud around him. "I appreciate the company, but I must say that it is disturbing my meditation. Normally, I streatch my energy out as far as it can go, but with you around, I cannot do it." He opened one eye slightly and looked at her with a slight smile on his face. |

"Sorry, my name is Mirakel Tarashka. It is a pleasure to meet you, miss Rish." (And there they go again with this "Miss" stuff. It was something that Rish actually didn't appreciate. She wasn't the highly-formal type, anyway. Still, she did note the slight smile on Mirakel's face, and muse about why one would name their child such a name. Was it intended to mean something deeper or just an impulsive sort of thing?) Rish: Just "Rish" will do fine. "I appreciate the company, but I must say that it is disturbing my meditation. Normally, I stretch my energy out as far as it can go, but with you around, I cannot do it." (As he said this, his aura became all misty, as well as some of his own self. Yes, Rish did recall him using this power back at the party. It wasn't entirely effective, though, because passing through energy was some much different than passing through anything else. So, Rish had to give him the inquisition on this one.) Rish: Hmmm... Interesting. Only...do you really find meditation as a suitable medium for power-control? Most times in life, when you really need your abilities at hand, you need them at times where your concentration is thrown. Can you be so sure of yourself there? And, I must know, if becoming a mist is something you do, don't you realize that you might be making yourself more vulnerable? (It wouldn't take an experienced kitsune to figure out that there were some loopholes in Mirakel's prime ability.) |

He gave a slight chuckle. "Very well then Rish, a pleasure to see you again. I am glad to hear that we are on a first name basis. I find myself easily suited to formal affairs, and yet I prefer informal meetings, such as our own." He hummed a little as he listened to her query. "In actuality, my energy takes many forms. I am not trying to control it while concentrating, rather I am concentrating on letting it free. When in mist form, I have no specific use for it and it takes no shape, but has mass and will push anything it encountes out of the way. I need to be careful it doesn't snag on any vegetation or it will do just that." The thought of him becomeing mist would make an excellent metaphor, but not just now. "I cannot become mist, though I can ghost through solid objects if you must know. In mortal terms, the energy within me would fill the whole forest if maintained at a maximum height of four feet, or a quarter of it if allowed to create a dome as tall again as the fall at it's zenith." It was a large amount, but still he'd met one with more. "If you care to see what I can do with my power, you may examine the remains of my latest sparring tool, or I can demonstrate for you." He took several deep breaths, his aura rippling with the movements in his diaphram. |

(The fox listened intently as Mirakel explained the true nature of his power. He had kept the part beyond the ghosting very secret. Thing is, she'd assumed the wrong method. Mist was something she could create, from spiritual energy. In any case, it was clear to Rish that Mirakel had a few interesting abilties, as well as approaches to using it.) "If you care to see what I can do with my power, you may examine the remains of my latest sparring tool, or I can demonstrate for you." (Rish looked over at the ruined piece of equipment, then appeared to scoff.) Rish: That old rag is nothing, a dead object to be torn apart in half a second. Hardly worth study or making comparisons. I'll admit to your being on a decent enough path, but I think only a demonstration could bear you out, Mirakel. I've already shown some of my skills... (Neverminding the illusions for a second, Rish had already demonstrated some rather powerful abilities. A giant fox-form and a caged of spirit energy was nothing to be sneezed at when you're the lab rat.) |

He remembered the special talents he observed during the party and nodded in agreeance. Her powers had been impressive to say the least. "Yes, it is in reality no fun to fight something that doesn't fight back, the truth is I was trying to how quickly I could get out attacks in succession." He laughed at the memory. "Its now in its sorry state due to my frustrations taken out on it." He tilted his head and cracked his neck, then arching his back, cracking that too. "Ah... I was thinking that the only way for me to be good warrior and be quick enough would be for me to seem as if I was in multiple places at once." He laughed. "My friends can hardly handle one of me, I pity them if there would ever be more." Standing, his mist flowed in unseen currents around him, until it soaked back into him like a sponge. "Think of letting out my energy like... like... being cramped in a box all day then finally streatching out as much as you can." He sighed and bent forwards from the waist, keeping his legs straight, but managing to touch his toes. "It feels invigorating to put it in Layman's terms. But back to the truth, the energy is fully tangible, and is controlled mentally. Any physical movements I make are uneccesary, but they help to focus in combat. It is used for defensive and offensive purposes, but used mainly for offense, for I can literally not be touched. I have the ghosting to thank for that." |

"Ah... I was thinking that the only way for me to be good warrior and be quick enough would be for me to seem as if I was in multiple places at once. My friends can hardly handle one of me, I pity them if there would ever be more." (During his little stretch and explanation of the punching bag thing, Mirakel said something that actually had Rish interested for a moment. He mentioned being in multiple places, which got her thinking... The greyfox now stood up as the boy went on to demonstrate his power. She didn't really need him to give an example. Her decision had been made long before he explained the meaning of his powers already. The fox soon shifted into energy as it took a feminine human form, one that didn't show the fox-ears or tails, but still had the bright green eyes. She was wearing the same clothes as at the party.) Rish: I know the feeling, trust me. So, you have a fairly-decent control of a personal energy that you wish to become more versatile with. (Rish formed an energy ball in her hand and tossed it into the waterfall. It was spirit energy, so it did not react badly. Instead, it grew to a similar femenine form, an exact copy of Rish!) "Right in the water? Couldn't you have just dropped it nearby?" Rish: It's good for effect. (She then explained it to Mirakel.) Rish: This is what we kitsune refer to as an aspect. It is a clone made of our native element, whatever that may be, that is somewhat weaker than the original. It follows my commands, but is basically a thinking thing itself. With this, I can indeed be in two places at once. |

Mirakel watched eagerly as she created an exact replica of herself, and he could tell almost no difference between she and her clone. It wasn't until he sent out spider-thread thin tendril of energy to check the power level did he find the flaw in the copy act. "I can tell, she is indeed a mite less powerful, but still more than a match for me." He smiled and, rather than straightening, pulled his legs up over his head , performing a graceful handstand. Then, he set out his left leg out to the side, while extending his right arm out to the other side. ((Think Luke Skywalker during his training on Dagobah)) "Ah... Please excuse me, but this feels really nice. I must say, this is immensly facinating Rish. Tell me, my memory isn't up to snuff, but what exactly are you? It is for certain that you are no mortal." He hoped he didn't sound impertinent. He was forming up a plan that he would need her help to perform. |

"I can tell, she is indeed a mite less powerful, but still more than a match for me." Rish: Ought to be after three hundred years. (Yes, Rish was indeed as old as that. This still made her relatively young, as far as her kind went, since they could live around a thousand years, sometimes moreso. The clone of Rish stood there with her arms crossed, giving Mirakel a look that positively said "Damn straight, I'm better than you..." right along with a cocky smile. Seeing no reason to discard her aspect, Rish let it do as it pleased while she listened to the boy speak upside down.) "Ah... Please excuse me, but this feels really nice. I must say, this is immensly facinating Rish. Tell me, my memory isn't up to snuff, but what exactly are you? It is for certain that you are no mortal." (Rish laughed, surprised that his memory did fail him like that. Her clone asked her if she should tip him into the water, but Rish shook her head and then answered as her fox-ears and three tails became visible. This would be identical to the form she took during the party. The aspect made no effort to change. Rish crouched down in order to maintain a more level conversation with Mirakel.) Rish: I guess I must've forgotten to say, at some point. Perhaps I just didn't deem it important, though I think that idiot, Kuro, said something... Anyway, what I am, as I said, is what is known as a kitsune. You might have read about us in fables, though not everything is accurate. The word means "Spirit Fox", or "Demon Fox" or something similar. We're a race that is older and more refined than you humans, though it is likely that there are many more of you around. Out of all the kinds there are, I am literally a Spirit Fox. That is my native element. I take spiritual energy and form my abilities from it. (At that moment, her three tails flicked into motion for a moment.) Rish: Which reminds me... You were right, before, when you guessed that my tails had something to do with my power. They represent our growth in terms of ability, age, and wisdom. I, myself, am over 350 years old, as is my brother. |

He opened one eye and looked appreciatively at Rish. He smiled as he spoke. "Then I must apologize Rish, it seems that I haven't given you the proper amount of respect that you deserve." He dropped is feet forward over his back to do a forward flip that brought him to a standing position as easily as if he'd stood from a sitting position. "Rish, I have been asking myself how I could possibly show you the proper respect that a spirit of your nature deserves. You are exponentially more powerful than I am, so I must ask a favor." He stepped forward to her, his step sure and his gaze on her face. When he was two feet away, he stopped and kneeled. "Will you be my sensei, and help me learn how to make spirit copies?" |

"Then I must apologize Rish, it seems that I haven't given you the proper amount of respect that you deserve." Rish: Indeed? (As he stood himself up, Rish straightened up herself, looking at Mirakel with an inquisitive glare. She sensed that he was about to do something that many have attempted before. Perhaps it was his formal attitude, but she guessed that he was now going to butter her up, playing to her ego, for reasons that would soon follow.) "Rish, I have been asking myself how I could possibly show you the proper respect that a spirit of your nature deserves. You are exponentially more powerful than I am, so I must ask a favor." (Ah. Yes. This was what she was expecting as soon as he began. People have, on occasion, wanted to impress upon her the idea that they highly-respected her...largely because they wanted a favor. Rish was not as shallow as to accept these compliments on face value, but she didn't mind the begrudged admiration of her prowess every now and then. Now, her arms crossed with the same inquisitive look on her face as her aspect, prompting him to continue. He did so after approaching her...and kneeling.) "Will you be my sensei, and help me learn how to make spirit copies?" (The nature of the request is what caught Rish by surprise. What he wanted was to have the opportunity to learn from a being who has lived for hundreds of years in a hostile world. Alot can be said of that, certainly. Rish had known some of her siblings to have a much harder time than herself, including one who fell in love with a monk who had been cursed by a man of royalty. The point was that she could probably do it, but there would have to be a few things understood first. She spoke to him as her aspect sat down nearby, Indian-style, facing him.) Rish: While I appreciate the gesture, Mirakel, I have to say that I never wanted you or anyone else to kneel before my like I'm royalty. Don't think of me in human terms. They don't always apply. "I must admit, though, that you're being awfully kind after how I treated you and the others." Rish: In any case, I think you misunderstood something. It's only considered a spirit copy if your medium is spirit energy. For the moment, I'm not sure what kind you're using, because I feel something unusual about you. "It's that misty aura you have. It doesn't feel like normal meta-human." (Rish had a pupil already, and she was reminded of him just now. The boy, Davis, was a newcomer that she had messed around with, then shown around a bit, and then...for no good reason that she could think of, she decided to train him. Well, Rish had her own personal reasons for wanting to do that, but that wasn't up for discussion right now. What happened next was that Rish now went down and knelt so that she could talk to him at level again, her green eyes drilling into his. Then, after she put a hand on his shoulder, she spoke.) Rish: I can help you, but you will have to owe me for it. Do not ask what or why, because I haven't thought of that yet. Only know that nothing comes for free. |

He rearranged himself so as to look at her face to face. "Indeed, it isn't like other metahumans, not even like any other creature on this planet. My aura isn't entirely my own, nor is it completely artificial." He showed her the scars on his arms. "These are the reminders of my surguries, as are the ones on my chest and back. The chuushin energy was an experimental substance that melded so completely with my own life force that I can manipulate it entirely by thought. When not within me and not being used, it becomes mist. Still, it has mass, and is needed to be pushed to get through it. Think of it like... the consistency of potato soup." He smiled slightly. I can help you, but you will have to owe me for it. Do not ask what or why, because I haven't thought of that yet. Only know that nothing comes for free. He nodded, his smile fading. "I understand. I am willing to do whatever you want in return." His smile returned with a new vigor. "So what happens next?" |

"I understand. I am willing to do whatever you want in return. So what happens next?" Rish: Well... (Rish stood up, arms crossing as she took a casual stance, glaring down at him like he was stray dog that she fed every now and again. There was a kindness to it, but also an understandable tolerance. She had never taught anyone to create aspects before, with maybe the exception of mentioning the concept to Sakura, who was a kitsune herself.) Rish: I'm guessing you would like to start immediately. I'll let you know when I've thought of what I should be owed. It may end up being a favor itself, because despite what I can do already, I'm far from infallible. Even Yoko... (She shook her head. Yoko Kurama was an associate, perhaps even to be called friend. She admired him, for he was the Bandit-King, a legend even unto her kin.) Rish: The point is, we may as well start, because you seemed to be limbered up already. Hey, you. "How can I help you?" Rish: I'm gonna need to put you away for a while. You won't mind, right? "Of course not." (Rish held up a hand and willed the aspect to become spirit energy, which then re-entered her palm, as if eaten. Rish was spirit-based kitsune, which meant that she was a well-manifested spirit-type, and not necessarily made of flesh. She operated as if she WERE made of flesh, but Rish did not eat food or drink water. Her diet was energy, especially from the astral plain. Rish held up a hand, with an index finger extended.) Rish: Lesson one. You are not your clone. In most cases, your clone is a temporary form of you, but is not the same as you. It's so-called feelings of pain when hurt is actually energy-loss. When it's 'killed' the energy is depleted and it vanishes. You do not feel the pain of any clone unless you are intrinsically-connected to your energy like it were part of your body. Your clone is like you in every way, but weaker and incapable of retaining memory between callings. (She then held up the second finger along with the first.) Rish: And lesson two... Since you're trying to recreate a shape of yourself, I recommend first trying to get the image down before trying to give it any real depth. I can manifest alot of illusions, including of myself. So, before trying to make a solid form of you, try to just bend your power to create a false image. You have to envision that an image of you is going to appear, like a ghost. Make sure your energy is shaping itself towards this end. |

Mirakel stood and placed his hands behind his back. In this kind of manipulation, they would do him no good. He closed his eyes, and a misty aura appeared a foot between he and Rish. Very soon, more began to leech out of him, like a vapour, only now it definitely began to take form. He was making a carbon copy of himself, even his stance, only it was made of his own chuushin energy. Once it solidified and stayed in place, it took less concentration to maintain, becoming less of a lot of little bits of energy, and more one big one. Finally, it was finished. There stood a completed copy of himself with a few minor discrepancies. Though it did look like him, it was white like a cloud, having none of the color of his skin or clothing. When he opened his eyes, so did the clone. Mirakel began to think he'd failed his first time. It was indeed his chuushin energy, but it so well mixed with his native chi that the two were inseperable. He was sure that what he did, so would the clone. "Well, phase one is complete. Make a clone of energy." |

(Hmmm... Interesting. He seemed to progress further and faster than she thought he would on the first try. The idea behind starting with illusions was that they were immaterial, not requiring the true ahaping, only the imaging. In any case, Rish watched as Mirakel created a solid enough form from his own energy, though it was clearly different from what Rish was trying to make him do.) "Well, phase one is complete. Make a clone of energy." Rish: Well, not exactly. (She stepped towards the white clone, her tails flicking somewhat. Then, she poked it experimentally.) Rish: This is good for a start, but it's only a shape. Your will is keeping it like that and it does what you manipulate it to do. (She then turned towards Mirakel, a serious look on her face.) Rish: However, it is not firm, nor is it self-sustaining in any way. As it stands, a single hit will break it apart. A proper clone requires that you imprint upon it at least a 'ghost' of yourself, so that it will act in your favor independently. |

Mirakel knew that he wouldn;t succeed on a first try, so he listened intently to what she said. He frowned and asked her truthfully, "So... I am going to try and leave an imprint of myself, while severing myself from it so that it can sustain itself?" He moved to the energy, trying to keep it from moving along with him. |

"So... I am going to try and leave an imprint of myself, while severing myself from it so that it can sustain itself?" (She understood his confusion immediately.) Rish: In a way, yes. Remember, that you cannot be attached to your clone. If I maintained a connection with my aspects, I would lose strength for it being hit because it would be using energy from me. The same goes for you if this thing were to be hit. To maintain it, you would have to put out more energy through concentration, and that would be counter-productive. (Rish stepped back a few feet to put some distance between her, Mirakel, and his copy-clone. Then, after saying "Watch carefully", she held out a hand to demonstrate - slower than normal - what was happening. First, energy appeared in her hand, a condensed and measured amount. Her method determined that she would decide whether a clone would be weak or very-long-lasting. Then, setting the energy ball down, she willed it to shape. And upon doing this, it became a gray spirit-energy form of herself, a parallel of Mirakel's creation.) Rish: This is as far as you've gone. It doesn't think yet. It's not acting as if it were alive and with a purpose yet. Now, the tricky part... (Because this energy was intrinsically hers, manipulated by her will, Rish could reach her mind out into it. She was mentally a part of it for maybe a second or two, and then it began to respond, like an amoeba taking in food. It quickly became exactly like Rish, opened its eyes, and had a look around.) "Well?" Rish: Well what? "What did you call me for?" Rish: Just a demonstration. "Hmmm, I see. Pity... I was hoping for some action about now." Rish: Sorry, not yet. Soon, I believe. "Excellent." (Rish looked over to Mirakel.) Rish: You are a part of your energy for at least until it resolves itself. Letting your mind dig deep into the energy you set aside for a clone allows it to imprint on you, mirroring your personality and form. It absorbs that from you and becomes you, well a different you, anyway. For once it's complete, your connection can be withdrawn. Aspects can be self-sustaining for a long time if they're careful. My old den was protected by an aspect who lived off of the souls of those that it killed to continue its existence. It was from a simpler time, but it certainly kept my stash safe. |

Mirakel listened to what she said and paid careful attention to what she was doing. She made it look so simple, but he knew he had to try. He closed his eyes and reached out with his mental consciousness. Feeling around for the heart of the energy, he opened his mind and pressed it against it. He began to feel warm, his whole body warming up as if he'd stepped into a hot bath. He frowned. "Well... something is happening, but I don't know what." He felt around to see if there would be any change. What he didn't see was that the energy was slowly reaching out tendrils of energy that were now licking around his body, feeling for something. Finally, they stopped, poised above his skin. One for each limb, and one for his chest. "What should I be looking for?" He obviously had no idea what was going on. |

"What should I be looking for?" Rish: Looking? No... You shouldn't be searching for anything. Innately, to make the so-called core of a duplicate being, you must reach into your own. Instinctively, the copy should follow suit and want to mimic the aspect of you that IS you, hence the aspect term. (Creating an aspect, at first, is very difficult. To be honest, the ones made from energy are probably the easiest. Just try doing it with a more earthly element. Stone and plants and water just aren't the same. Rish remembered when she was first able to produce an aspect. It was a hard thing to do, but she did it when she needed to, and for that effort, the Moon Howler was genuinely confused...for a moment. But that was a time long ago, back when she was weaker. She remembered her brother being impressed, since he had never produced an aspect of his own, even to this very day.) Rish: Don't worry. You'll make it, and it gets easier each time. And as you grow stronger, the aspects you create after you will be stronger, because they are considered weaker only to the degree that you let them. And when you are strong, they can be that way also. "Just remember that they're still temporary beings." Rish: What she said. |

Mirakel kept his eyes closed, and began to see this as a form of meditation. It was easy enough to go inside of himself, and now all he had to do was to allow the copy to follow suit. He immediately turned inward on his concetration but remained connected to the clone. When this happened, the five tendrils all coallesced into twin tentacles of energy, slowly twirling in a circle above his cest. When they had formed a small spiral, they plunged into Mirakel's chest. The pain was immediate. "Aaahhh! Wh-what the- gaahh!" It felt as if he were being ripped apart from the inside, his organs all being disected and reassembled. Still, rather than fall, he remained stock still, pain contorting his features. As time progressed, little beams passed from one tentacle to the other, forming a spiraled ladder. When the beams reached the clone, three feet away, their true nature became clear. They weren't slowly spiraling tendrils. They were the two halfs of an incomplete, now completed, double helix. As soon as they had become completed, they were sucked into the energy clone like a grotesque strand of spaghetti, flailing as they were pulled in. In the next moment, the clone began to darken, his sking and sightless eyes all darkening. His clothes took on the hue and shades of the originals, and he fell forward onto his knees, along with the genesis Mirakel. This all took only ten seconds to complete, but it felt an eternity for Mirakel. When he looked forward with blurry vision, he saw himself staring back at him, breathing heavily. When Mirakel stood up, painfully, so did the clone, in the exact same manner. The clone looked around curiously, while the original looked to Rish. "Was that supposed to happen?" ((BTW, he is an EXACT clone, in every sense of the word. Hence the name of the SL lol)) |

"Aaahhh! Wh-what the- gaahh!" (The change in the mood and the behavior of the energy tendrils had caugh Rish's attention, but also the apparent surprise in Mirakel's voice. Something seemed off about his attempts to follow in her example. She wasn't sure at first why that was... The appearance of a sumbolic double-helix caught her eye because she'd never seen that happen before. This wasn't like when she created aspects... But the creation DID occur. There was a new Mirakel standing there, first looking at the original and now having a look at its surroundings.) "Was that supposed to happen?" Rish: Well, I won't lie to you. Something was wrong with it and I think I know what. You see, what I've been teaching you is a technique that plenty of my own kind are able to do in their own time. But you are not a kitsune, Mirakel, and I rarely ever see a human create decent thinking copies of themselves. You should be proud for at least accomplishing it my way. Still, I have to make sure of something... (She sidled around to get the attention of the clone.) Rish: Well, you seem to have come through alright. How do you feel? And more importantly, what do you remember about yourself? It should be alright, so long as he knows his place... |

The clone watched Rish and followed her movements. "I'm alright, it was like being sucked trough a tube and placed somewhere else. I... I know I'm me, but something tells me that I'm him too... like a pooled consciousness or something of that nature." He told her that he knew everything he knew before the move, only that they could think on different, yet similar levels. "Mirakel, say a word on three. One, two, three!" They both said "cueball" at the exact same time. "This is just a little too strange for me. Its like the energy knew what I wanted and did it, just like it always does. Only this time it did a lot more than simple tools." The original inspected the clone, feeling for temperature, responsiveness... ticklish areas... and everything came out normal. It was like looking at himself in a mirror, only being able to touch the reflection. "Wait, Mirakel, your left eye is gray." "And your right eye is gray!" It was true, the original's left eye was still white, while his left was gray, while the clone's right was gray and his left was white. |

(After hearing the clone's answer, Rish watched the antics between the two Mirakels with subdued amusement. They were two peas of the same pod, still connected, but in a subtle and hopefully not-dangerous way. What bothered Rish was that this didn't appear to be a proper aspect. It seemed more likely that this clone was human, as in straight down to real DNA. Then, as Mirakel - both of him - remarked on each other's eyes.) Rish: Oh no... (Rish put her face into her hand in realization and annoyance at what she had just come to realize. This wasn't an aspect. Nay, in all respects, it was Mirakel. They were, or he was both of them. Something. It was confusing, but she tried to explain.) Rish: Mirakel, and...Mirakel, I think I know just what happened here. It appears that you've split yourself, or selves, right down the middle. In other words, I've just invented human-amoeba-ism, though I hope that dividing by fission doesn't become more common. Lady knows...there's enough of you humans on this world as is. |

The two Mirakels began to inspect the clone, and the original noticed something odd. "Sensei, place your hand on his skin." What was odd was that it felt as if the aura, Mirakel's being fluid, the clone's was soft... like a marshmallow. He pressed his arua against it, and it felt as if it instanlty bonded like two beads of water. "No... were not two different people... but he's not an aspect. I think he is more than an energy copy, but less than human." The copy turned and lwaited to see if Rish would agree. |

"Sensei, place your hand on his skin." (Rish was just comtemplating the possible aggravation of having to deal with humans that divide themselves like cells when Mirakel spoke up. It seemed as if he'd found out something else that was important. She looked at him, and then the clone, then finally placed her hand on its shoulder.) Rish: Hmm? (It felt...different. The aura, the sensation, the everything. It was if someone had taken the mixture of Puree de Mirakel and changed the recipe just a bit. The clone felt not like an aspect, or a total clone, but something completely foreign to her. Mirakel seemed to come to the same kind of determination.) "No... were not two different people... but he's not an aspect. I think he is more than an energy copy, but less than human." Rish: I think you're right, and that worries me. Regardless of how much of you is in him, a definite piece is in there. And at the moment, I can't tell if that piece will flow back to you if this one is killed. Remember, this clone's conception has changed you too. You may not be complete anymore. And if he dies, you may never be complete again. Best to keep that sort of thing in mind until we know for sure. |

The original looked at Rish and nodded in agreement. "That is probably true. The energy planted in me was with me for so long that my original life force was mixed permanantly with it. That is why it is so natural for me to manipula-" His mind froze as a thought struck him. "Thats it... that was why this happened. My life force, my soul, is perfectly maleable to my will. When I felt that I wanted to copy myself, the energy did it. It is a part of me, which is why my aura melds with his so fluidly. I think that if I tell it to do something, or will it to do something, then it does it. Does that sound logical?" He looked at her quizzically. |

It is a part of me, which is why my aura melds with his so fluidly. I think that if I tell it to do something, or will it to do something, then it does it. Does that sound logical?" (Rish nodded slowly. It had some dark implications, but yes, it did indeed make sense to her. There were indeed certain kinds of meta-humans that actually had soul-based abilities, including the dividing up of soul-energy for attacks and other techniques. That the soul could be divided with a variation of the aspect ability to create a double such as this did not sound too surprising once thought of in this way. However...) Rish: I suggest you make sure that you can reassemble yourself. If this clone is more of you than a simple aspect, then as I said...its death might destroy a part of you. Until you can find out for sure without too much risk, I suggest you put a lid on this one for the time being. |

Mirakel nodded and looked to his copy. Without a word, the nodded and stepped close enough to feel their own breath. The two of them closed their eyes and set their auras together, not letting a single gap in between them. Concentrating hard, he willed the copy, more the copy's energy, to return to him and become one with him once more. The copy glowed bright white, and the details in his face blurred into obscurity. He raised his arms to wrap around Mirakel in a loose hug, and he began to visibly shrink, his mass disappearing back into Mirakel's body. After a few moments of what looked like an intimate experience, the copy was gone, and Mirakel was left standing still as a stone. He resumed breathing normally, and opened his eyes. Both of the irises were white. "How do I look? Alright? I'm not missing anything or have any extra limbs?" |

(Putting an end to the clone for the time being was Rish's plan to prove that {A} it could be done, and {B} there would be no harmful effects. That being said, there was also the obvious part about not wanting YET to experiment with something as potentially-dangerous as half-killing yourself. It could be dire if left untended to properly. In other words, Mirakel had to be careful. In which case, he reformed himself into one person and said...) "How do I look? Alright? I'm not missing anything or have any extra limbs?" Rish: Hmmm... Yes, you appear to be humanoid in the normal sense. (She walked around him, checking his profile without any sense of shame.) Rish: Nothing bizarre is sticking out, thankfully. Although, I get the impression that you would look better with a few of my extra features. (This was a clear reference to her fox-ears and tails. She chuckled at this to point out the non-seriousness of her comment. She wouldn't try to take him into her fold over something as shallow as looks. That was crazy. If a kitsune wishes to embrace a mortal and change them into one of their own, it must be for an important enough reason, because the process is painful and quite draining. Rish had never done or seen it, nor was she embraced herself. She only knew the method and knew how it felt when her friend, Addriene, told her about it. Now, facing Mirakel up front again...) Rish: Both of your eyes have white irises. I assume that this is normal, only I know that humans today can have some rather strange features. |

He smiled at her comment, and wondered at the thought of being one of her kind. He began to ponder on what it would be like, being a kitsune. Obviously there were different kinds, but still. "I think it would be really cool to have a tail and fox ears. I think they're very distinguished." "Both of your eyes have white irises. I assume that this is normal, only I know that humans today can have some rather strange features. " "Ah yes. They are supposed to be white. They changed sometime during my procedures at the facility." He began to inspect himself for little things she might have missed that only he would know about. While looking himself over, he mumbled, "I wonder what it would be like to become a kitsune." |

(Not that Rish was too concerned about the eyes, of course. She had a feeling that everything was normal and as it should be. She had no reason to believe that somehow stabilizing himself into two living halves of a whole would be irreversable. It was just sort of one of those iffy things, really. You can be ever so sure, but you don't know until it's done. Once that was over with, she heard Mirakel musing about kitsunes. He'd already said that he might find it distinguishing to have the physical features of one. Of course, he couldn't have them without being a kitsune, but that was what made him curious.) "I wonder what it would be like to become a kitsune." (Stepping past him a couple of feet, she wondered if it was worth telling him. Could it really do any harm to speak of such things? Who knows the dynamics of the subject but a kitsune like herself? Well, Addriene did, technically. But she was hardly here for discussion. Rish decided, oh...why not?, looking over her shoulder, giving Mirakel an alluring gaze of amusement and intrigued.) Rish: I can tell you what it's like, though a natural-born like me has never been through the process. There are at least a couple of embraced here at the school. They're referred to as embraced because a kitsune must take you in...in order to change you. The sensation is both pleasurable to a high degree, but painful as well, a high-mix of the you that achieves the end-result with effort. No kitsune was ever embraced impetuously, to my knowledge. The one who is to change is drained of energy by the one embracing him or her, to the point where the soul is removed and reconfigured as new energy flows in from the kitsune in question, bringing about the change as if dropping a new kitsune soul into an unoccupied body. In essence, it is sort of rebirth, though I believe the embraced sometimes retain their previous powers. I know that Sakura did, but Addriene didn't. Of course, she was a special case....but I won't go into that. (Turning now, she walked a step or two closer to Mirakel, her tails swaying slightly as her smile continued.) Rish: While I have never actually done this to anyone before, I do know the results quite well. More than likely, you would become a one-tail if transformed, unable to even hide the fact that you are one, due to a lack of illusion control and the fact that there is always something that gives us away...if humans can spot it. Now, while I doubt your old powers would go away, for them being so much a part of you, I will say that creating an aspect would be easier. But I think perhaps you'd best not be settling on the idea for that alone. If ever you were truly wanting to become a kitsune, Mirakel, I strongly suggest you be absolutely sure. Because there is no way back, to my knowledge. |

He stopped what he was doing and looked at her with a mixture of seriousness and apprehension. "I'm not worried about what the pain would be like, its the fact that I wouldn't be me anymore. I'd have to talk with a few people about it too." He realized something and rushed to correct it. "Don't think that I want to right now, I mean it would be very cool and all, but I'm not ready to change who I am just now." He looked at her apologetically. "But, just for curiosity's sake, what do you mean by 'take them in'?" |

OOC: *Looks over at Test #1* Crazy? Like a fox! IC>>>>> (This boy was serious! Well, serious enough, anyway. She was just informing him for information's sake, because she knew how important it was to be sure on matters like this. So when Mirakel stated that he wouldn't mind the pain, Rish knew that he was seriously considering this sort of action, though she wasn't sure why. Did he not WANT to be him anymore? Or was there more to it than that?) Rish: Well, for fairness' sake, I believe personality doesn't change much, especially if you already think like us. You don't really, Mirakel, but I will admit that you're not bad. "Don't think that I want to right now, I mean it would be very cool and all, but I'm not ready to change who I am just now. But, just for curiosity's sake, what do you mean by 'take them in'?" (The look in Rish's eye remained as it was, a bright green attention-grabber that one could almost get lost in. It gave the clear testiment of not being human, but it was also something of an item of attraction too, a real double-edged sword.) Rish: If you're worried about offending me, don't. I know you by now, including your feelings. You don't have to worry about accidentally getting me pissed off. In any case, what I meant before was that in that moment of change, I am - at the very least - devouring your being for perhaps a couple seconds. Part of me would imprint on part of you, my soul acting upon yours. The process can be considered dangerous if interrupted too. Fortunately, I can be sure as to not to. I understand that you would want to be sure of such a thing, Mirakel. Would you, in turn, tell me why you would wish it? Just wanting to be cool isn't enough. Not for me. |

Mirakel nodded and answered her as best he could. "In truth sensei, it would be personal enrichment and fulfillment. As an honorable kitsune, my power would be great, even if it remains as it is. My life would be exponentially extended, my personal status about myself raised a peg or two. I would be part of something that I've only dreamed of being." He looked at her with awe in his eyes. "Call it childish if you like, but ever since I've learned of kitsunes and their abilities to outlive and outpower anyone, I've respected them and wished I could be like them. Its not to be 'cool,' I couldn't care less what others think is cool. This would be for self betterment. And I have a sneaky suspicion that as a kitsune, I might better protect... ones close to me." He averted his eyes at this, for this could mean any number of people. There was Kess, his girl intrest, and Zlex and Jessica, his good friends, as well as hospitalized Melissa and her over the top gung-ho brother Jack. |

(His answer was more than a little unexpected. Had she really had this much of an impact upon his life? At first, when he had asked her to teach him the aspect ability, it had seemed more likely that he had been complimenting her to get her in the mood to grant favors, which she would do because instruction was certainly not a problem, really. But now, listening to Mirakel's words, Rish was fully taken by surprise. For several moments, she was unsure of what to say. Her expression had been one of thoughtful consideration, but it was hard to hide the surprise when her tails swished around as they did. Rish began to pace casually, thinking to herself.) Rish: I could go through with it, if he'd allow me. If he's half as interested as he sounds, there wouldn't be a problem. I can get Daggoth to make sure we're undisturbed. Now, I know that HE wants this...but do I? I mean, it's just as important to want it myself as for him to. I'd better tell him the last bit as well... (She then turned to face Mirakel with a serious expression on her face. This was no longer idle talk. He had poured his heart out to explain his feelings on the matter. Therefore, he was going to get the consideration and answer it deserved.) Rish: I've given your statement thought, Mirakel, and I decided that...if you asked it of me, I would give it. But before you start getting funny ideas, I sugest you have a word with these close ones of yours. They may not be too keen on you outliving them by several hundred years at the very least. |

Mirakel started. She was giving in to his request, but setting a rediculously low circumstance. He looked at her, his eyes showing sincere gratitude. "Thank you sensei. I realize that this must seem rather sudden, but I can assure you that if they agree, I will still give it some sincere thought whether or not to go through with it." He stood and looked at her full on, as an equal. "You are truly a good friend, and an honorable kitsune." He stepped forward and offered his hand in a handshake. Whether or not she took it was irrelevant, she was an ally, and one who was giving him something precious. A part of himself would remain with her, and vice versa. There wasn't ever a person he'd met who'd be willng to do that. |

(Never before had she been thanked by someone in this nature. Oh, there were plenty of grateful people that she had done things for back in the time of the Feudal Era and so on, but those were for things like having their enemy killed or returning a family heirloom. Rish had never been thanked like this for doing something that was almost second-nature to her. She was taken aback by his words now, intrigued now by the notion of trying it. Something about Mirakel made her want to do it now. He seemed right for it. If push came to shove, Rish could see herself actually being worried for his well-being.) "You are truly a good friend, and an honorable kitsune." Riah: Thank you, Mirakel... (She took his hand as it was offered, giving him a meaningful glare.) Rish: This is how it will be, then. He'll ask it of me soon, to be sure. He wants it that much, and I said that I'd give it to him. And now, I find myself wanting to do it. Why, I wonder...? To help him? To protect him? Because I've grown somewhat attached to him? There are plenty of humans I have a regard for. Why should the one who wishes to join us be different? Well, whatever the reason, I will go though with it, and I will protect him. (While Rish has a higher regard for humans than normal kitsune, it is noted on several occasions that she has pointed out that she would rather see a thousand humans dead than one of her own kind suffer. And having experienced such things...like almost being starved to death...or having to deal with the loss of a brother...and even the witnessing partial-kitsune makeup of the chimera, Cain - Rish would do as she said in her inner-mind.) |
