Yes today seemed like a good day to go about the grounds of the area. Sunset had been living by her self for a month now, she needed some fresh air. She walked about the courtyard, dressed her Miko robes, her blonde hair flowing behind her like a veil. She had on sandals for foot where which seemed to clash with the temperature but Sunset was so light that she didn’t even sink in the snow. Her feet where covered with white ankle socks. Sunset stopped and looked around her, her violet eyes searching for any presence that she couldn’t sense. Every one seemed to be else where in the school, leavening the courtyard empty. Not that Sunset mind, no one would have talked to her any way. Her gaze went towards the sky, it was snowing around her, a light blanket of snow covered the area. Even with the Sun gone, her golden blonde locks seemed to shine. Just then a slight breeze picked up, making the tree to her side creak slightly. There where no leaves on it, winter always seemed to make everything look so dead. As the breeze picked up her hair it blew her golden strands into her eyes, tickling her noise. Sunset was a little annoyed by this but made no move to brush the hair out of her eyes. She shivered at the fact that she could cut her hair to end this annoyance, that would happen when hell freeze over. Her long golden locks were the only thing she liked about her self. It helped her give off the false appearance that she was so innocent and pure. That she had a kind heart which was not true, she just hid the evil part a lot. During Sunset’s time alone she had been able to meditate a lot more. Helping her self understand the evil in her. She fully understood what she was capable of doing to other people, yet she tried her best to never let that part of her out. She was scared of that part of her. She hated to see others hurt because of her. She continued to look up at the sky in thought, she was so lost in her own thoughts she didn’t bother to sense the souls around her. Habits die hard. The blonde Miko continued to think as she stared up at the sunless sky. More snow started to fall around her and the climate dropped a couple degrees. Still she just stared, and thought about her little matters in her life. Truth was, she was trying to keep her mind off of Valentines Day. She did not want to remember the day her brother died. She did not want to remember the fact that there was no one for her to love, the fact that she was alone and helpless in the world. |

Wynn was out in the courtyard sketching what seemed to be the lifeless trees with their missing leaves. She looked up and saw a bird of some sort that was the target of her artwork today. She looked up to take in more information and then back down at her little sketch book to sketch some more. Her light source was the moon and stars but more importantly a little lantern that she kept by her side so that she could see what she was doing. It was when she looked up again that she saw someone else standing in the middle of the courtyard. She was staring up at the moonlit sky. What was peculiar about this person was not their affinity towards the night time sky that got Wynn thinking but her choice in apparel. Wynn couldn’t but help herself go talk to the lady. “No way, at this school? I though there was a possibility but I thought it to be so irrational and so unlikely that I dismissed it and never really cared to give it more thought.” these thoughts went through Wynn’s head as she walked to meet the lady and confirm or deny her suspicions. She got closer and spoke up. “Excuse me, pardon my intrusion but I had a question, I noticed the clothes you were wearing and I was just wondering by any chance are you a... well a um... um a priestess?” she asked not knowing how to formulate the words. It wasn’t something that you asked every day she adjusted the lantern from her right hand to her left as she switched hands of her sketch book as well and awaited the lady’s answer. |

Something clicked within the blonde miko as she heard footsteps. She sensed a soul heading towards her. Not wanting to look into her soul more, giving the girl privacy, she stopped sensing the girl’s soul. She didn’t want to find evil in another female’s soul. She would rather get to know the person first. As the girl came closer to Sunset she would notice that the blonde girl dressed in priestess robes carried with her a long bow, about as tall as she was. Of course it was thin and was hard to be seen from far away. Under some of her long golden strains of hair was a quiver of arrows. It contained about 20 arrows, Sunset had never used any in a fight ever, and her barrier was her most reliable power as it was the strongest and most effective if she wanted to keep peace. As the girl spoke Sunset’s eyes slowly retracted them self’s from the night sky to the girl that stood before her. When she asked if she was a priestess a kind smile warmed her lonely appearance from before. It was nice to see that some one in this school knew what a priestess even was. She had only met two other people who recognized that she was a priestess. Her x boyfriend Eli and her friend who was also a priestess with youkai living in her. Sunset now fully turned her head to face her, her violet eyes gazing into the girls. “You are correct. I am a priestess or at least try my best to be.” She left it at that, she didn’t want to scare the girl with knowing that she was actually a demon as well. That she contained a dark side that begged her to kill. It seemed to be more awake within her then before and was listening to her life, waiting for her to slip up. “How did you know I was a priestess?” She asked with the same smile. She hoped that this girl was also a miko or knew other mikos. Sunset’s village had been destroyed a year ago and now, with her sister turning into a cat demon she was alone again. She had one other friend who was a priestess but she barely saw that girl. She waited calmly for the girl to respond, the snow around her subsided and the clouds around them seemed to part for a time. Sunset didn’t mind either way, she enjoyed the little thrills that nature gave each days. |

OOC: Just out of curiosity since the Sun is gone shouldn't the title be "Winter's Night or Evening?" Lol
^_^ BIC: Wynn listened to the girl's answer, Her assumption was correct; The girl was a priestess. Wynn was amazed at seeing another priestess at the school and was quite intrigued at the diverse upbringing that this school held. Wynn then thought that she should answer the girls question on exactly how she new that she was priestess. It could be quite weird and unnerving having someone come up to you randomly as such and asking questions like that. “Well I recognized your robes, it’s the same style that my mom wears. She is a priestess and so am I, well sort of. I never got to finish my training so im sort of like, part time miko, part time guardian protector of innocents. Long story short Parents didn’t think I have powers like my sisters hence started raising me as a priestess then discovered I did have powers and started raising me as a guardian. So now im guess im here to sort of develop my abilities and sort of find myself, figure out who I am and where my heart lies.”said Wynn as she gave a quick summary of a brief moment of her life. “Oh by the Way my name is Wynn.” She said now glad that she had decided to introduce herself at this time. It was always nice to find someone who had something in common with oneself. Especially something like this such to the extent that it was more like a way of life. “My robes though aren’t of that of a traditional miko though, Since I never really completed my study and haven’t decided what im going to do yet my clothes are somewhat different it’s white and have red stripes and a golden tiara.” said Wynn who was still in her student uniform. “It looks sort of like this, just in color.” she said as she flipped a few pages in her sketch book and showed her a self portrait sketch of her and her outfit. |

Sunset continued to smile brightly as the girl described the Miko clothing. She had only seen one other type of Miko robes; it was the same kind just blue bottoms. She must have a different kind of Miko power if her robes are to be different. She wondered if it was a much older version of tradition Miko style, or relatively new. Her violate eyes exampled the paper with curiosity. She tried to figure out where she had seen the style before. “That is very nice. If you don’t know what you want to be take my advice and stay away from anything evil. My sister denied the fact that she was a Miko and hated her powers, she became a cat youkai, or you might know them as a neko girl. Any way all she got out of that was to be able to transform into a small kitten….and that’s it. Not much. If it wasn’t for my Miko heritage I would probably be trying to eat you right now.” She gave a small laugh, joking of course but she had demonic blood in her as well, stronger then any silly cat girl. Luckily for her the demon inside had no reason to be awake right now, It was stronger now. “You outfit is very nice though. Where did you mom learn her powers? Just asking because I'm actually much older then I look. I might know the place or had known her.” (occ. Im not gona have sunset be like oh I knew your mom or I knew that place. It’s just for conversational purposes only.) Sunset felt a bit of joy, being around another that had similar power. As the girl introduced her self Sunset nodded. “ It is very nice to meet you Wynn-chan.” As she talked a bright smile covered her face and lightened her features. Her slightly tan skin seemed to glow with innocents and happiness. “ My name is Sunset. Tell me what kind of Miko power do you possess?” She asked tilting her head to the side slightly. Golden locks of hair that lay on her shoulder seemed to brush to her back. Her hair fell down just before her butt. It seemed to flow behind her, even with the slightest movement the Miko gave off. |

Wynn listened to Sunset’s advice about staying away from evil. Of course that would hardly be the problem for Wynn as she was way to soft to be evil even if she tried. She then listed to the predicament of Sunset’s sister and was able to follow along because she was aware of what a Neko was from back home. She listened to how she rejected her miko heritage and the trade off in power that she received because of it. And then she heard how if it wasn’t for her Sunset’s miko heritage that she would be trying to eat her at this moment. Wynn chuckled after words at the comment, not knowing about Miko’s Demonic side, she had no idea exactly what she meant about the comment and just took it for a harmless joke. “Well I guess being a priestess isn’t for everyone. My sisters constantly tell me that they don’t know how on earth I am able to even consider being a priestess. It’s one thing to protect your home from demonic threats and evil entities which I guess whether you’re a Miko or Guardian it’s all in the same. But I think they draw the line with all the model behavior, I think that’s the only reason why they don’t really care for being a priestess.” After which Wynn showed miko her drawing of her outfit and after receiving a complement on it Sunset had a question about her Wynn’s mother and exactly where she had learned her powers. “Well back home at the Kingdom of the Crystal Souls, yeah don’t ask, no idea why it’s name that, but my mom received her training from her grandmother the priestess before her. I guess the thing that my home is most notable for is the thin veil surrounding it. Unlike other places the veil separating realms is thin there making it a ideal location for traveling between realms. That’s the only reason why I could imagine anyone would try to inhabit that place since demon attacks are common practice their. Their’s probably not a week that goes by where my sisters don’t use magic to vanquish some demon or banish some evil. But I’ll take the bad to be with my sisters any day. That’s why im here to train and develop my powers since my sisters don’t really have time to train me and have a life of their own. I couldn’t ask them to give that up so here I am.” After Sunset introduced herself then she questioned on exactly what power Wynn had. “Well ok I can tell you but it has to be a secret, let’s just say I know what would happen if everyone found out about my power. Well actually I only have one Miko power and my other power I don’t know what to make of it. Ok here it goes.” Wynn took a deep breath knowing that this was a big secret. “Well I’m sort of clairvoyant, I can receive premonitions of the future and the past. And I mean sort of as I don’t know how to control it. Basically if I wear some else clothing I can sometimes receive a vision, but since I don’t know how to control it, it can sometimes be dangerous. Cause for me when I am receiving the vision I actually assume the role of that person so it’s something tragic was to happen I would have to pull myself out of the premonition or someone would have to remove the article of clothing so nothing bad happens. My grandma says that when I learn how to control it then I won’t need to where someone’s clothing and that it won’t be dangerous but for now I just have to be careful. That’s one of the major reasons that I am here as well. Demons are always trying to steal my power. I mean most demons have their own set of offensive powers and rather now try to attack my sisters head on to steal there’s. But me on the other hand having passive powers can’t fend off attacks that easily. And If my power were to fall into the wrong hands then they could use it to unlock the secrets of the future and past civilizations. Well at least so my father says I think that’s a bit of a stretch as I doubt anyone is that good. But they would be able to tip the balance of power in evil’s favor a blow that good might not be able to recover from. So for the sake of all the future innocents I would be able to save I shall remain here where it’s safe until I can learn to fend for myself. That’s why even here people really can’t know. Then people would go around trying to live their lives by some premonition or slipping socks on my feet while I sleep to see if I can get a premonition about their love life. And that’s not what magic is for.” said Wynn before continuing onto her 2nd power. “My other power is just weird. I can here pictures, my grandma said that is a power one of our ancestors had but how could that help with anything. I mean I get that it comes from the photographic realm and being born in the Kingdom of the Crystal Souls I can see the relation, But of all the realms. Noone goes to the photographic realm and definitely nothing comes out of their. It’s one of those just to support the grand design sort of places. I haven’t the clue what to do with it except keep myself from being bored on rainy afternoons.” “So you must have extraordinary powers, I mean you said so yourself that you are a lot older than you look. Im guessing that it’s your miko powers that keep you from aging. So you must have years worth of gifts.” she asked now inquiring about her powers. |

Sunset blushed slightly as they talked about her age. Ok so maybe there where two topics that she wasn't too fond about. As they quickly moved off of the topic she softly added. “It’s my soul shield. It prevents me from ageing past 17. Part of my miko power so yes you are right." She smiled half heartedly/ maybe it wasn't a good idea to let people know her age. She didn't want to be called an old hag or something revenant to that. "Before I show you and tell you about each of my powers I would like to add that sense you have priestess blood in you, you should be able to purify. Or at least that is what I have been told. My sacred arrow I can teach you if you would like. It's pretty basic. Actually if you learn the arrow technique you can just purify with or hands as well. This was you can help protect as well." Sunset continued to smile warmly at the girl. She seemed to be gifted with a nice family, sister’s grand mother. Sunset truly envied her for that. Sunset could tell just by talking to her from a short about of time that she was Good person with morals, you trust her. Like most people with miko power, they seemed to stand out from crowds, always the nice people, always willing to help. It was a shame there wasn't an ample amount at this school. Then not every body had what it took to live a life of a priestess. This girl how ever did. “I have the ability to create a sacred aura around an arrow as I shoot it from this bow." She held up the bow but not close enough for the girl to touch. “This bow is called the Miko's Everlast. It is centuries upon centuries old. The priestess who I am reincarnated from used it long ago. It was past down from generation to generation in a miko village. When I joined the village I was giving the task to touch the bow and see if it rejected me. It was shortly after my brother was killed. The reason why I stand before you at this school is because of him wanting me to become strong. To kill the person who killed me. Unlike you I really never had a family so he was all I had. Funny even after 99 years, 100 on valentines day, stuff like that still sticks with you." Sunset realized she got off topic and cleared her thought. “Any way I can make a scared arrow with out this bow, my power is too strong with a regular bow and will break it." Sunset reached behind her and slipped an arrow out of her quiver. She lined the bow and arrow, putting one foot in front of the other. Pulling back on the string the arrow begins to glow a pink color. Sunset aimed off to her left, giving the girl a good view of how the bow reacted with the arrow. The bow, it's self, be gain to glow pink now with the arrow. It accepted her miko power, believing it to be its former master. Sunset let go of the strong, her figure pointing to where she wanted the arrow to land, directly in the center of a tree. The arrow seemed to form a blinding bright light. When it hit its desired location on the tree there was a dull thud. The tree began to glow pink and then it evaporated into this air. The arrow just fell to the grown and Sunset turned back to the girl. “If you have the ability to purify you should be able to do something like that. At first the power will not be so strong though. It took me two years to get that power under control." Sunset continued with her powers. She had good two this school for a little over two years so there was a lot of things she had learned here. “I have the ability to grip onto my opponents and shock them with my miko power. Which I will not perform on you for obvious reasons." She laughed again. For Some reason Sunset truly enjoyed this girl's company. " I have the ability to create a strong barrier. It is my strongest power and is the source of where my miko energy is generated. The barrier, when I am not using it, stays around my soul. That way it can purify poison in my body or prevent other people from reading my mind or trying to attack my soul. My brother told me I had developed it while my parents where torturing me. They wanted to darken my soul so that I would become youkai like them. Opposite happened and they made the pureness in me stronger. This power can't be learned by any one though, it the signature trait that the miko, whose soul resides in me, had developed. For what reason she had developed the power, I do not know." Sunset took a deep breath then went on with her current power she was working on. “Lastly I have the power to create Shikigami. Well I will once I go to my temple in the out skirts of Tokyo and pray more. What I am aiming for is to create two small children to go out and delver messages for me and to protect people who I can't always be there to protect. They can fly and create strong barriers." Sunset sighed now and walked over to where her arrow laid on the ground. Steam was coming from it but Sunset paid no attention. Her own power would not seem her as an enemy and attack her. She picked up the arrow, ignoring the single spark of power that came out of the tip. She twirled it in between her figures for a moment, like a baton, before putting it back into her quiver. She turned back to the girl to wait to see if she would respond on whither or not she had the ability to purify. |

[OOC- Mkies, enough hassling Laura. I am replying at last! XD lol] Deep within the cataclysmic realm of her thoughts, Ashika lay, perched in a tree in the forest. Her mind was racing. Not so long ago had she joined AHS and she was yet to step foot into the threshold of the school. The hanyou, a full-blooded inu-youkai at birth, sighed. It seemed to be to her a good time to explore the campus of the school. She was yet to familiarize with anything besides the waterfall. With cat-like balance she walked across the tree branch to the very end and leaped down to the ground, landing in a crouched position, and then slowly rising to her feet. The hanyous’ immaculately long silver hair flowed carelessly down her back, flowing as she made her way towards the direction of the campus grounds. Her booted feet crunched lightly into the snow with each step. Ashika was dressed in the clothes of her era, the feudal era. She was attired in a deep violet silk kimono, which was fitted at above her knees, short. Above her knee high black boots, she wore fishnet stalkings. The already short sleeves of her kimono were rolled about her shoulders, a black mesh covering her exposed arms. The girl walked along and found herself at the entrance of the courtyard, her aqua blue, mood changing eyes locked upon two figures off in the distance. This was where her keen vision came in. From the looks of it, they were two girls, one with a bow and arrow. The shy girl stood there, observing as the girl strung her bow and fired a shot towards a tree not too far away from the very place she stood. She watched the tree disappear, intriguing her. ”Hmm, she must be very powerful I suppose.” Thought Ashika as she continued to gaze upon the two. The next thing she knew, the girl was walking over to pick up the arrow that lay there, fuming. The instant Ashika walked over to the blonde haired girl, she could feel how strong she truly was. She must had been born around the time that she herself had. “Hello.” She said quietly, a smile forming onto her pale features. |

(occ. Heather your a meanie XP) Sunset felt a demonic presence as she waited for the girl to answer. Her volute eyes darted in the direction of where a beautiful silver haired toward them. She did not move her head to have a direct look at her, her expression was blank. Sunset could feel the girl’s soul grow stronger and stronger with ever step she took. She could now feel that the soul was half demon. Judging by the silver hair, an inu youkai trait, this girl was most likely a hanyou dog demon. She ran a hand though her golden locks as the girl stopped in said hello. So maybe she wasn’t evil then? Sunset sighed, depending on how you looked at her situation, Sunset was also hanyou. Sunset turned now to face the girl with a bright smile. “ Hi there, I’m Sunset and this is Wynn-chan. You have youkai in your soul? Judging by you appearance you are an Inu youkai?” She smiled kindly at her. Sunset loved Inu youkai, she grew up with them. It gave her fond memories of the period in time when she was truly happy. She examined the girl’s features more. She had a very old style of dressing like the tree of them. She wore feudal error clothing which looked very well with her fishnet stalking and mesh sleeves. The girl certainly had a taste for fashion like her sister. |
