The breeze felt nice against the girls pale skin. Despite the wind chill, it was a rather beautiful day. The sun shone in all its brilliance, lighting up every corner of the open courtyard. It was Friday afternoon. Since classes just recently let out, the courtyard was packed with students. Nameless faces hustles and bustled back and forth. Damara knew none of them, and she was pretty sure none of them knew her. When was the last time she had attended class? She wasn’t quite sure herself. There was no saving her last year. With the way things had went she was destined to repeat the same grade. Somewhere in the distance the sound of a bell echoed in to the sky. Damara turned her blue gaze up to the sky, taking her attention away from the blurred bodies that crossed her path. Birds were returning. She could see them gliding free as can be in the sky, and she could hear them chirping away in the tree branches above her. Spring was not to far away. Maybe with the turn of a new season, there would be a change for the better within her life. The simple thought caused smile to spread across her pink lips. She would never lead a normal life, she was certain of that. The smile played on her lips, but her eyes were the reflection of defeat. In came a new breeze, and with it the birds in the tree behind her began to flutter. Damara looked up to the tree branches just in time to see a feather fall from the green leafs. She opened her right hand, and let the stray feather land in her palm. Staring at the brown and white feather reminded her of Dario. He was a funny little boy, and the thought of him actually made her laugh. Ironically, with the memory of him came the memory of Kaie. Maybe she should pay the vampire a visit. Why was she fighting against him? It couldn’t possibly be for some moral reason. She was in no position to be able to criticize someone else for their morals. “heh” Damara leaned back on to the bench, letting the shade of the tree cover her completely. She crossed her legs as she let the simple feather fall from her hand. Leaning her head back, she gazed up in to the tree branches. Just as she closed her eyes, an image flashed in to her mind. It was followed by series of other random images. Confused, she shook her head and sat up. Then came the first sound of voices. The first one was clear. Someone was talking about the class they just came from. Like the images, it started slow, but then progressed. Blue eyes stared out in to the crowd of students. She looked around from face to face. The images and words began to merge, becoming a chaotic jumble. Was she hearing voices again? No, it was never so chaotic before; but then again… The voices became louder, drowning out her thought pattern. It was as if someone had turned the volume up to the highest setting. Not being to sure of what was going on, she shut her eyes. Her hand went to cover her ears; done as a symbolic gesture in hopes that it… they…the voices… would just shut up. She felt her defenses slipping away as she became bombarded by all these thoughts. In the pit of her stomach, she could feel something bubbling to the surface, it was panic. With her defenses dissolving in to thin air, she began to feel what was going on. Usually, she kept the power shut tight, but in this state she was unable to keep it turned off. There were some seriously fucked up people in this crowd, and they weren’t helping her situation. As a collective group, it made no sense; happiness, sadness, madness; they didn’t belong together like this. With her empathy, and new found telepathy powers going out of control, Damara was losing all control. She wanted it to stop. No, she NEEDED it to stop. She would definitely make it stop. She was standing now, and she wasn’t sure when it happened. However, when her eyes opened, each person she laid that gaze on would be a victim. Blood splattered against the right side of her face, and her body. Someone’s head had seemingly imploded. Another person’s right arm ripped away from the socket, they were then lifted up by there other arm. Damara couldn’t hear any screaming, or cries for helps. All she could hear were there thoughts. The sheer intensity of the thoughts were dieing out the sounds of what was going on. Panic… fear. Anger. The emotions had become stronger, but now they were similar to one another. Now they made sense. By time Damara realized she was using her vectors, it was too late. Already another three people had fallen victim. Since no one knew where the attacks were coming from, the students in the court yard didn’t bother to move away from the one causing all the damage, Damara. She was aware of what she was doing, and at the same time not. With the up rise, the intrusion of the crowd’s thoughts intensified; giving Damara a migraine. Why wouldn’t the fucking voices stop? Somewhere in the crowd a heart was being held up in the air, as if just floating there for a moment before being flung in a random direction; which caused it to smack yet another student in the face. Damara walked forward in to the panicked mob of students. As she walked by students, more and more bodies were, ripped apart; more and more blood splattered against her and the floor. Someone running by pushed in to her. Damara turned her gaze towards them. There lips were moving, but she couldn’t hear what they were saying. The female student, who was trying to get Damara to flee with her, was hoisted in to the air by her neck. Damara squeezed that neck. The girl wasn’t breathing anymore, but damara continued to squeeze until she crushed the wind pipe. |

"It's always something..." "Tell me about it, are you sure you want to do this uncle?" "Yeah, I do Istamu. DRAGON aside, people are being hurt. I'm not going to turn a blind eye on that." Andrew and Istamu went into the courtyard, shoving past the other students. Andrew was the first person to get there and see the girl crush a student's windpipe. His eyes narrowed as he changed into his battle armor Heavy Metal. He didn't use his Blades of Chaos yet though. The boy needed her to give him a reason to unleash them. His runes began to shine brightly as he looked at the girl square in the eyes. "Okay you, I want you to stand down immediately." Istamu was the next one that came and he had the Orbiter come out immediately. The bright blue sphere shifted from blue to red as he looked at her. He wasn't sure what she could do, but from what he could recall from those odd pair of siblings, this thing was supposedly possessing a hidden power. Personally, he rather liked the increased protection. He just never had a chance to test this out. |

Rufus walked idley through the courtyard. He didn't have any classes to get to -- as far as he knew, he wasn't even on the school's register. He had thought about sneaking into one of the classes and sitting somewhere inconspicuous, but hadn't wanted to risk it yet. He didn't feel like trying to explain his presence to the faculty, especially since he had yet to explain it to himself in a satisfactory manner. A quick internet search on his name hadn't turned up any results, though if the birth date on his driver's license was any indication, that was no suprise. I suppose it didn't help that I don't have an actual first name to go on... He was snapped out of his reverie by a scream and a ripple general panic passing through the mass of students. He stood frozen for a moment as the unfolding scene worked its way into his brain. The sheer level of the carnage had to break itself down into managable pieces before it could be processed. His mind switched off into a dull sort of horrified shock at it all. Oh my god... "Okay you, I want you to stand down immediately." How the sound reached him over the sounds of panicking students, he wasn't sure -- perhaps just by virtue of being a rationally formed sentence in a sea of incoherent fear. He turned towards the source, and it was only then that he began to feel the onset of panic. Standing not far off was one of the students, trying to stare down the apparently-unharmed Damara. There was another moment of thoughtless shock, and then a small part of his brain managed to find its voice. He's going to get himself killed... The inexplicable violence suddenly focussed into something resembling sense. Rufus had been on the receiving end of Damara's power's before, so he knew at least something of what she was capable of. She was unstable, to say the least, and now she seemed to have been pushed around the bend -- farther than the last time he had seen her, certainly. "Oh, this is not going to end well...." An understatement, certainly, but it was the only way he could think to vocalize what was happening. He was torn between an urge to try stopping the slaughter somehow and running away like a frightened squirrel. ((OOC: Yeah, feel free to toss him around a little. Just don't kill him, lol.)) |

So many life forces snuffed out in a single awe-inspiring blaze of gore, screaming, and blood. It was the screams of the students that had attracted him at first, their panicked shouts and cries easily serving to draw his direct attention. What he found when he reached the courtyard was a scene from a serial killers wet dream. The ground was covered in blood, ripped clothes, crumpled bodies, and a various assortment of limbs. Jacob's amethyst eyes grazed over the macabre scene with the detached disinterest of an observer. All the same, it really was quite impressive. It would have taken him a few more minutes to reach this level of carnage without going into a pure feeding frenzy. The thought of jet-black tentacles spearing through dozens of bodies at once like a human shish kabob slipped into the forefront of his thoughts, and a soft smile danced across his lips. Damara was being confronted by another student that he had not yet had the displeasure of meeting, but there was one familiar face that drew another twisted, wicked smile across his lips. It was the same boy that she had played with at the auditorium. Why he wouldn't run in a sudden blaze of shear panic, he would never know. Maybe he actually liked the pain and suffering that Damara could inflict with such ease and beautiful grace. Jacob was still wearing his school uniform, but like normal, the tie was hanging loosely around his neck like some sort of snake made of scarlet fabric. With the loud sounds of the panicked students, and the bloody scene of carnage before him, Jacob slowly stalked up behind Rufus with silent precision. His right hand raised up into the air, the sleeve of the white dress shirt pulled up to expose the flesh of his arm. What happened next was like a dark explosion, a swarm of black tentacles simply melting out from the skin of his arm without harming him in the least. They shout through the air with incredible speed to wrap around his neck from behind, several of them flying out to restrain his arms and legs so that he could not fight back. "I can't have you interrupting my mistress, now can I?" |

Rufus, as focussed on not dying as he was, completely failed to notice Jake's approach. With the sounds of violence and carnage still filling the courtyard, he probably wouldn't have detected anything even if he was listening. At least this can't get any w- He suddenly felt something wrap swiftly and tightly around his neck, arms, and legs. "I can't have you interrupting my mistress, now can I?" "Gkk," Rufus said. He recognized the voice from the day in the auditorium. The student holding him was, possibly, worse than Damara. Of course, now that Damara had seemingly snapped, it was entirely possible that the roles had reversed. Getting strangled might turn out to be the highlight of his day. Crap... this is getting to be a habit... He tried moving, to see if he could get free, but it was no use. He was a lot of things, but physically strong was not one of them. Adding in that his powers were of no use in combat, and he was very effectively helpless. His only real hope was from one of the student's confronting Damara. Assuming that Jake didn't simply kill him to spite any wouldbe rescuers... |
