"A.... A..... AAAAA.......," William said, taking in a quick intake of breath, before holding it, trying to hold back the sneeze that was welling up deep inside of him. After a few seconds, the sensation died down and he sighed, relaxing for a second. "ACHOOOOOOO!" he sneezed, totally caught off guard by the sneeze, which instead of going away had only seemed to have been biding its time, lying in wait for him to lower his guard. And when he did, it sprung forth, echoing through out the entire area around the large lake, causing William to be sent sprawling back in to the snow, caught too much by surprise to even consider catching his balance. Sitting in the snow, he took out a tissue, of which he had many stuffed in his pocket and blew hard, saying to himself, "I hate having colds...." It was coming way too close to his day of sickness to be out in such weather, but something another student had told him had perked his interest, and against his most powerful logic, he had decided to go out on the frigid day and check out the lake. 'I'm not only going to be fainting, throwing up and feeling down right rotten, but I will have a stuffed up nose too....... Ya, why does something that sounded so smart at the beginning of the day end up being so stupid?!' he thought, blowing his nose again and getting up.

He was definitely dressed for the weather. A coat on, a sweater underneath it, and a long sleeved shirt beneath that, and the same pattern of layering used for his lower body as well. And to top it all off, mittens, a scarf, and a hat all bundled him up, the best way of keeping himself healthy. But it still didn't do much, he knew his immune system had a yo yo like pattern. In the middle of the month, he could go out in this kind of weather without problem in nothing but shorts and a t-shirt. But at the beginning and end of every 30 day cycle, he was reduced to being frailer than most of the people he met in the hospital, which he had frequented since the accident. Of course, the variety of other things that were wrong with him also helped it out as well. While genetics had given him a lot, it had also given him a lot that he really didn't want at all. He sighed, looking around, his breath coming up in steamy puffs from behind the scarf.

What lay beyond him was what could be considered simply breath taking. The night before there had been a snow fall, and it covered the landscape, totally unbroken, except by a few random animal tracks. And with the cold, parts of the lake had frozen, icy patches here and there. Nothing solid enough to walk on, but it was still beautiful. The trees carried the snow as if they had been decorated personally by it. He sighed, the entire beauty of the scene causing him to catch himself within it. And then, the entire beauty of the scene was abruptly interupted by yet another fit of sneezing, upon which he fell back in to the snow, more concerned about trying to catch a breath than anything else.

"Achooo Achooo AAAAAACHOOOOOO!"

It was cold, as usual and she found herself waundering outside like some tourist. Emotionless golden brown eyes looked off into the distance where trees stood against one another. She was dressed up in a black trenchcoat with a furry hood. It fell to her knees and buttoned all the way up to her neck. Her black boots were visable agaist the white snow that fell about her feet.

Nanami had been outsid for quite some time and couldn't find anything that could link her toward her missing memories. They were gone, in a sense at least. She wan't able to find them, no matter how hard she tried. All she remembered was being taken out of a room and being repaired. That was it. She had met a strange man after arriving at the school. He showed a little hologram that her necklace had, which put her in quite a state of surprise. After a few more minutes of thinking, a loud sneeze interupted her small train of thought.

Her eyes seemed to track down the source of the sound. Once located, she started to make her way toward it slowly. When she finally reached the her destination she saw a boy with light brown hair and hazel eyes. Another few more sneezes confirmed her suspicions as she stood there.

"Why are you out in such cold weather?" The robotic student asked with a smile. She was being very friendly and nice as she stood a few feet awy from him with her hands folded in front of her.

He finally caught his breath and sighed, looking out at the shimmering waters of the lake, which was moved by the silent breath of the wind. The silence had been pretty eerie, though he had expected as much, it being the dead of winter. Winter was the season of sleep, so he found it normal that nothing would be stirring, especially in such weather. He sighed, staring out at the lake, wondering about what Romeo had said. It was in one of these thoughts that he distinctly thought he heard something else. And not just something else, as in a sound, that would not have broughten him out of his silent meditation. It was more of a voice, as if someone was speaking to him. He looked around, pushing himself halfway up as he scanned the area for anything that might be capable of speech, human or not.

It was then that his eyes fell on one of the strangest girls he had ever seen in his life. The first thing he noticed was the two strange things that seemed to be her ears, almost like cat ears, yet seeming robotic at the same time as seeming animal. And then, he followed it to her eyes, which immediately sent a chill down to his back. The eyes were the window to the soul, you could tell volumes about someone just by their eyes. Yet hers seemed.... dead, soulless and emotionless, as if they lacked that spark which made all things alive. He stared at her for a few moments, wordlessly, not looking at anything else but her eyes. Suddenly, a small memory of her voice flittered through his mind, her question coming back to him. Her smile calmed him down though, and he immediately associated her as a student.

He got up slowly, dusting off the powdery snow from his clothing, where it clung futily, to await being melted and absorbed in to the fabrics. And as much as he loved being drenched in such weather, he had to gracefully decline their invitation to join him. He then turned to the girl, saying, "No reason really.... I was told that I would find something here..... But, I haven't found it yet... So I am just enjoying how the snow and cold makes it look...." He was being as truthful as he could, without spilling his guts about what he was looking for. He looked at her, trying to figure out what she was thinking. But, as it seemed that her windows, when it came to her soul, were closed, he came up with nothing but a blank.

She listened to him speak and nodded her head as she stood there. There was no steam coming from her mouth or nose, since she really wasn't required to breath or eat. Her hair swayed lightly against a cold breeze, falling back into place around her legs and knees where it ended. Blinking once, she lifted her face up to the sky where it was moslty blocked by tree branches. A small singly snow flake landed upon the tip of her nose as she quickly wiped it away and looked back over toward the boy.

"What is it that you are looking for? An objective of value or something?" Nanami asked tilting her head lightly to the side. A few strands falling over the side of her face from the small action. She watched him, a pleasant smile always on her face no matter what the situation. The way he looked at her made her curious, was there something on her face of the sort? Another thought came to her than. Maybe it was just her appearance altogether. After all, there was nobody at the school with ears or eyes like her own. Well, from her stay here at least.

"I'm sorry. Forgive my rude behavior, my name is Nanami." The girl spoke with a smile as she bowed lightly. A few lock of her hair falling over her shoulder lightly as she straightened herself back up. "May I ask your name?"
