The indoor springs was a wonderful place to come and relax. It was always warm and inviting. It always seemed to cheer up people who were down. It was also a place where people could clear there minds of worries. Or so Adrianna thought. The weather was rainy and cold, and she didn't want to be in her dorm any longer. She had the urge to get out and be around people. So she decided to relax in a hot spring. The sudden spurt of energy could have been due to the fact that she had just had some sugar and had been able to get out and do much. After changing into her bathing suit, she exited the girls' locker room and picked a spring near the wall. She would be able to just site a watch people come and go, which was somewhat interesting even if she didn't really pay attention. She smiled as the hot water surrounded her like welcoming arms. She dubnked her blonde head under water, and then sighed after coming back up. Her emerald eyeswatched people for a little bit. They came and went. Some even had water fights. The school was a place were everyone felt normal. Everyone was different instead of adnormal. AHS was a meta human school, that made Adrianna feel right at home. She loved the place. Smiling, she got a idea. She lifted her hands out of the water. Slowly, the pigments from the surrounding colors. The pigments danced around each other in a colorful dance that delighted the eyes. There was light and dark colors just flowing around her area. She was sitting in a very colorful spring. |

With his arms resting on the edges of the hotspring, Youichiro sat, his head hanging limply back, and his eyes closed. A sighed, relaxing in the water. This marked the his first time in a water hot spring in decades. Hell had hot springs, of course, but they tended to use blood not water, and blood was too thick for the jets to move and massage one with. Indeed, he was enjoying his time here. As he sat he told himself that this was part of his exploration of the school. He desperatley wanted to delude himself into thinking that this activity was productive. After spending several decades undergoing rigorous martial arts training under the watchful eyes of history's greatest fighters, Youichiro felt horribly guilty for spending all of his time so far at AHS for himself. He did not want to become lazy, but feared that he already was. He heard the soft sound of a body going in and out of water and opened his eyes to see a blond girl sitting across from him. He watched through partially opened eyes as she began doing something that Youichiro could immediatley tell was abnormal. As the water changed drastically in color, Youichiro straightened his poster and looked at the girl with a half smile, trying to seem politley impressed, but not overly amused. |

Once the spurt of energy drained out of her, she carefully laid the colors back where they belonged and closed her eyes. After taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and saw a guy sitting across from her. She hadn't even realized he was there. She mentally kicked her self for not realizing it before. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to distrub you," she told him smiling. She felt bad now that she realized she wasn't alone. Oh well. It didn't matter now. Whats done is done. "I didn't disturb you did I?" |

Youichiro shrugged and replied slowly "Well, you did..." he looked down at the water before looking back up and waving his opened palms infront of his body as if to clear away the fog of confusion he made have just made, "but it was a pleasent disturbance." He looked down at the hot water, touching his fingertips to its surface, almost trying to see if, after being subjected to that power, it was still the same substance it had been when he first slipped into it. As far as he could tell, it was. "You didn't have to stop on my account," he said. "It was kind of...cool." Yes, cool was the word of the early twentieth century to describe something highly admirable. |

"I guess I can take that as a compliment," she said with a smile. She swirled the water around here with her fingers. She loved the way it danced around her fingers. Slowly, the colors from her purple nail polish seeped into the water coloring it purple. Other colors from her bathing suit and body slid off and joined the purple that danced on the surgace of the water. "My name is Adrianna. What's yours?" she asked him. |

"Youichiro," he said slowly, "Zgodame Youichiro", he added, clearly distracted by the colors seeping into the water. "Are you controlling that?" He asked. Having never seen colors move so freely as they did now, Youichiro could easily mistake the colors for autonomous entities. "That's very unique..." he trailed off for a moment, his eyes glazed over in thought. "Or, can alot of people do things like that here?" He added, not forgetting where he was. |

"Its nice to meet you. Yes, I'm controlling the colors. I must know hwo to control colors because I'm a painter." she said. She swirled the colors by placing her fingers in the water and swirling them around in circles. She was having fun. "As far as I know, I'm the only one who can do this. But many people have abilities. There's a set of twins I know of that can manifest suns and moons and control them to their will. I like to call them the Twilight Twins. My fiancee has a demon side to him and my sister use to have a second soul in her. but thats just a few of many students here. I can't even begin to talk about all the abilities that the students possess here," she said with a smile. She saw his expression and chuckled to herself. He seemed entranced with the colors. "What's your abilities?" |

Youichiro listened to her with a chilled expression. His eyes flickered as he watched the colors move in the water. He seemed to zone out, hypnotized by the colors. Either that, or they provoked deep, profound thoughts that he had no desire to vocalize. The silohuetted images of each student that she described flashed in his mind...and then she asked him about his own power.... As a subconcounse reflex, Youichiro clenched his hand. The pressure exerted in his palm when he did so was around 500 lb...yet he did not consider it a power. No, it was the result of decades of training and strengthening his hands. He sighed subtley. "I don't have powers." He said planely. "I'm here because of where I come from....this, we figured, is the best place for me to adjust back to the living world..." He grunted, realizing he had said more than he wanted to. However, with the idea already out there he chose to appease any curiosity he may have peaked. "'We' being the exectives of Hell...after fifty years in a place like that...with such a strict schedule everyday....I needed a place where I could adjust." He looked up at her, with a half smile, as if trying to appear unmoved by his own story, yet fearful that he inspired pity in her. People in the living world always use Hell in such a negative conotation. But Youichiro new that in the grand afterlife, Hell was one of the better places in which to end up. |

She startled when he hit the water with his fist. Aside from getting wet. She looked at him even thought the colors kept swirling. Carefully she listened to his words, taking them seriously. When he was done speaking, she shrugged. Whether is was actually Hell or a place like it, she didn't ware. "No matter. This place is a good place for you then. You can easily adapt to the world and relax." She got a mischevious smile on her face. If he wanted to relax and adapt to the world. perhaps he would act like a teenager since he was at a high school, "You can relax and have some fun as well." She splashed him with soe water. The colors in the water swirled around on his body. He was a living canvas of colors. She chuckled to herself and waited for his reaction. |

He was about to ask what sort of things that students here did for fun, but was interupted by the splashing water. at first he flinched, caught off gaurd, and closed his eyes tightly. Once he had whiped the water from his eyes he looked down at the colors running down his torso with an almost dumb expression. "That looks neat," he said, half to himself, while he admired the colors flowing down and back into the water. Delicatley he scooped his cupped hands under the surface and lifted up some more water which he poured over his head and watched it fall down a little. He chuckled. He seemed to really appreciate the colors. In a quick motion, after the new colors returned to the water, he struck the water with an open palm in order to direct a small wave at Adrianna. |

The colors were all over him, coloring him multi colors. He was a rainbow person. She laughed as the water washed over her. It was a relief to have fun. Everything had been horrible these last four months. She had lost and regained, fell and been lifted. It seemed like a roller coaster. "You seem to be a very colorful person," she told him. She herself was speckled with colors just like her was but they seemed to cling more to him then her. Probably cause her bathing suit was the home of the colors. Well most of them |

Youichiro smiled slightly. Only slightly, but even so, he was surprised to find himself smiling at all. He came to the hot spring to distract himself, but he did not expect that anything would happen that would make him smile. He looked at her blankly when she called him a colorful person, as if he did not understand her joke...er...if it was a joke at all. He could not be sure. So, instead of actually understanding it, he smiled, nodded and laughed. He figured that was the best way to cover all bases. He splashed her a few more times. Gently. "Do you always have fun like this with your power?" He asked. |

"Yes. I enjoy doing things with colors. Which is probably why I enjoy painting so much," she said. She laughed and leaned back against the side of the spring. It felt so good to have fun. "So what do you like doing for fun?" |

As she answered his question Youichiro smiled his little, half smile that he used whenever he wanted to affect friendliness and sincerity, but did not truly want to commit to an because, in general, Youichiro preferred to keep his features even and cool. "So what do you like doing for fun?" Youichiro paused for a moment. His smile levelled again, and his eyes looked past her. He was thinking. When he had asked her the question he used the word "fun" as a convention. He was well aware that others did things for fun. Spalshing around in the hot spring, he figured, was an example of that. But for Youichiro, the pursuit of fun was not something he tended to partake in. Youichiro derived his fun from routine life. In such a life, there were things that were fun and things that were not fun. Youichiro did both, hardly questioning the timing of the things that were not fun. So what did Youichiro do that was fun? Back in Hell, he generally enjoyed his training. It was a required taste, but at this point it was his favorite flavor. "Er..." he hesitated, his attention returning to her. "I trained...that's kind of fun." As he said this, he bit his lip and clenched his fist playfully. |

She laughed as water hit her face. "Training? I guess that is fun. But I think that after awhile, you'd get tired of practicing for a battle. I understand wanting to be in good shape but all the time. I couldn't do it at all," Adrianna said shaking her head. Fun was apart of her. Everything had to be fun unless it was serious. Often when she was painting she would get splattered with paint. Then again she would just splatter paint on a canvas, getting everything around her colorful. The thought of those times brought a smile. "Is that wll you do? Nothing else?" |

"A battle..." he said, biting his limp in quiet thought. The truth was he rarley saw martial arts in terms of war and peace. They just were, and he could never shake off the feeling, that even when there is no battle, he was training for something. Yet, exactly what never seemed important to him. He did not give himself time to think about it. When he came back to the present conversation he looked up at her face and saw she was smiling. Did he say or do something funny? He did not think so...did she say something funny, and he was merely too lost in thought to hear it? ....he hoped not. Maybe she too was thinking about her passions. That was his favorite of the three possibilities. "Well...yeah. That's mostly what I do," he said innocently. "Er...I eat and sleep too....and sometimes I like to sit and think...but for the most part that's what I enjoy..." Those last, fractured, justifications were delivered defensivley as if it were a crime to do only one thing. "Why? What else is there?" His voice resembled that of a boy who knew the answer once, but had long since forgotten. |

"Is there something else?" she repeated in thought. There were a multitude of thngs for a person to do then just fighting even though thats how meta humans had to live for awhile. Til they were accepted for who they were. Adrianna was to be used as a weapon when she was younger but now she was a aspiring artist that sold many paintings a week. She smiled at the thought. "There are many things you can do. Sports. Art. Acting. Writing. Singing. Dancing. Science. Math. History. Teacher. I could go on and on fdor days. Its just comes down to what you enjoy doing," she said. "I enjoy painting, which is why I paint and sell them to peple who enjoy looking at them." |

"Well in that case..." He said thoughtfully. "....I enjoy training..." This was accompanied with a slight smile. "besides, through martial arts I can discover many of those things you just listed...." He laughed softly. "Although, now that you mention it, I do enjoy other things." He nodded, more to himself than to her. "I think I would enjoy looking at one of your paintings too...I don't have any money at the moment, but when I get some...." His voice trailed off as he was thinking again. Indeed, he could earn a good buck through competing with his martial arts (he doubted most competitions would present a challenge) or by teaching his martial arts (which would be weird since facilities of the quality he used originally, don't exist anywhere on Earth.) Interestingly enough, both of those possibilities were featured on Adrianna's list. |

"My friends get the the first one for free. Then they get them for holidays," she said with a smile. She thought about marital arts. She hadn't really trained with it. She used a sword and daggers most of the time. Probably because her father wanting to train her to be used as a weapon. "I don't know very much of martial arts. I'd like to learn it some day." |

"Oh, that's very generous," Youichiro said with a slight smile. He could not help but dount that she was somehow gaininh a financial benefit from it, though. He discarded the notion for the time being, however, deciding that it had very little relevance. "I don't know very much of martial arts. I'd like to learn it some day." "Is that so?" He asked, manipulating his voice to not sound dismissive, but final. He did not construct a response beyond that, unsure about what she was getting at. Did she want to learn from him? He tried not to expand on that possibility in his imagination because so doing would open worlds of skepticism and self doubt. "Wow," he commented at last. "People really are friendly here. After only a few minutes of conversing we're already friends." He laughed softly, as if to justify the strange and seemingly random assumption. It was an attempt to open up the conversation and move away from the subject of martial arts. |

Adrianna nodded. A lot of people were nice around here. Luna was a complete angel. Stella... well she enjoyed teasing other people. "Ya. A lot of people are nice. I've made a lot of friends here," she said. "How long have you been here?" ((Sorry its short.. I've been having a writers block.)) |
